This property is amazing, would absolutely stay again. The furnishings, the layout, etc was perfect for our family. There was also several lovely touches left from the owner that really just made us feel welcome. I LOVED the porch swing on the screened in porch.

We were thrilled with how clean, cozy and beautifully decorated this home was, it was exactly what we needed after handling a family emergency just before arriving. The owners also left a cute gift bag including gift cards and a bandanna for our chihuahua! The neighborhood was quiet, we met some nice folks while walking, the location was convenient, and we'll definitely stay here again if we return!

We just spent a very comfortable week at Josie’s Getaway. This cottage was very clean and so beautifully appointed and decorated in a very appropriate beach and pony theme. The kitchen was well stocked with all the basic necessities plus more to make for a comfortable stay. The bedrooms were welcoming with comfortable beds and plenty of closet and drawer space. The bathrooms, too, were very clean and comfortable. The weather allowed us to enjoy the screened in back porch and the backyard furniture as well as a morning cup of coffee on the front porch. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. This rental was a wonderful find and we would definitely return if/when we visit Chincoteague again!

Josie’s was very clean and beautifully appointed with a very appropriate beach and pony theme! It worked out well for 3 adults and 2 dogs. There were several neighborhood cats that kept the dogs entertained along with an occasional deer and squirrel! Next time I would reserve directly through Harbor Rentals and save a little $$!

Quiet neighborhood. Beautiful cottage- clean and had everything you needed. Enjoyed the screened in porch and swing for reading. Not the best weather. Highlight was the Fall Pony Roundup. A fenced in back yard for dogs would have been better because of numerous cats in area. Had to walk dogs to end of block to potty.

Perfect house for two couples. The house has a great floor plan with and was very well appointed, everything we needed to prepare our own meals. Plenty of towels for the house and the beach. Great location right downtown, we could ride our bikes to stores, restaurants or the National wildlife area. There was a very nice screened in porch in the back with a table and chairs so you can eat there if you like. We loved our stay here.

We love staying at Josies Getaway. It really feels like a 2nd home for us. When we walk through that door it feels like home. The owners leave us a very thoughtful gift basket. They send us Christmas cards. We really enjoy every moment at this rental. It’s very well appointed. We love the fact we can bring our dogs. Rocky & Marley are very comfortable there. The neighbor always comes to say hi to us and our dogs. She is very friendly. We look forward to every visit. We try to stay 2 times a year here. I love the screened in porch. Our stay at Josie's Getaway was a forever-to-remember experience. When we saw the photos of the ponies in one of the bedrooms, we knew we were where we were supposed to be. The seahorses on the window shutters always welcomed us back when we returned from another Chincoteague adventure Josie is furnished with everything anyone will ever need. Comfortable beds, laundry facilities, plenty of light switches in convenient locations; a swing on the screened-in sunporch where you can curl up and listen to birdsongs and wind windchimes; dishes and cooking utensils, all shapes and sizes; a "pony family photo album." of the stallions, mares and foals that roam Assateague Island; and neighbors who make you feel at home. Harbour Rental personnel had answers to all of our questions and promptly responded when technical services were needed. When the day came for us to leave, we didn't want to "go away" from Josie's "getaway."

House was pretty clean for the most part, although when I swept the floors I found a abundance of pet hair that didn’t belong to our dog. The bed in the master was advertised as a queen but I’m pretty sure it was a full.. the bed was also super uncomfortable, we actually checked out a day early because we didn’t want to stay in the bed another night.

Due to the pandemic, we missed our yearly visit in 2020. Harbor Rentals helped us roll over our full rental to 2021. The only issue was that our original home that we stayed at was not available. We looked through all the available pet friendly rentals and chose Josie's Getaway. We were BEYOND excited when we pulled into the driveway but we couldn't have been more excited when we entered the home. This home owner is really involved in decorating and making the home beautiful! Harbor Rentals has never failed us and during our very first visit in which we booked on our own and were devastated by the condition of the property, they were eager to help us when we stopped by the office. Everything is always clean and comfortable and the staff at Harbor Rentals is always kind and caring. Josie's Getaway is one of the nicest places we have rented. It's well furnished and really nicely decorated. We were there in the offseason, but the weather was mild and perfect for enjoying the screened porch. Our family loved the swing on the porch. The location was pretty quiet but still an easy bike ride to the beach. The owner left us an incredibly thoughtful care package featuring items from local businesses - which we then went to check out. We had a great week and would go back in a heart beat.

Josie's has it all! It's beautiful inside and outside. We love the swinging day bed outside and the amazing fire pit at night. This cottage is close to shopping and dining. We love that we can hop on our bikes and ride to the ocean! You can tell that this cottage is cared for by the owners and that the owners care for the guests that visit their cottage.We've been visiting Chincoteague for many years and have only used Harbour Rentals. We love that it is a small company that gives personalized service. Once we needed help with getting an appliance to work and someone from Harbour Rentals came right away to help! Location location location. This home is close to everything, ice cream, carnival grounds, Maddox Blvd, Main Street, and the park. The house is very well appointed. We loved the screened in porch. It’s decorated in a tasteful nautical theme. The owner left us a welcome gift basket. That was so appreciated. We felt at home in this beach house.
