About this cabin rental
If your ideal vacation includes fishing for trout just steps away from where you’re staying, you’ll want to book your stay at Amazing River Retreat right now! Even if fishing isn’t key to your getaway, however, you’ll find plenty to love about this three-bedroom, dog-friendly (dogs only - up to 25 lbs.) lodge.
Located in a forested mountain valley, Amazing River Retreat is right on the bank of the trout-stocked Little Pigeon River. From the lodge’s two spacious wraparound decks you’ll hear the soothing burble of the waters rushing over the rocks. Along with the rustling of the breeze through the trees, the singing of warblers and thrushes during the day, and the chirping of crickets at night, it serves as ideal background music. Whether you’re enjoying breakfast at the main deck’s patio table, cooking dinner on the charcoal grill, or perhaps best of all, lazing in the lower deck’s hot tub, you can savor the soothing soundtrack.
You can revel in the views from inside the lodge as well, courtesy of the great room’s double-height wall of windows. The sunlight streaming in shows off the hand-rubbed light pine floors, walls and vaulted ceiling to perfection.
There’s space for everyone to gather on the great room’s well-cushioned leather seating, whether it’s to watch the big game on TV or play charades in the glow of the stone-surround fireplace. The great room also hosts the dining area, which includes a gorgeous wood-and-wrought-iron table that seats six. Another four people can sit at the adjacent breakfast bar. If you’re vacationing with another family, set up the kids at the breakfast bar. They’ll love eating “on their own” while the adults linger over their meal at the table.
Speaking of meals, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a cordon bleu feast or simply to reheat leftovers from the previous night’s restaurant meal. From a refrigerator with ice maker to a dishwasher, we’ve got you covered!
Downstairs you’ll find the game room, the perfect hangout for kids and adults alike. You can choose between shooting pool at the full-size billiard table or play foosball. Or you can stretch out on one of the so comfortable couches and watch a movie on TV—Amazing River Retreat receives plenty of satellite channels, including Showtime. The washer and dryer are conveniently located just off the game room, so you can do laundry while you lounge.
Just as the game room takes up nearly all of the downstairs, the primary suite makes up the entire loft level. The bedroom is huge, with a king-size bed, a desk, a sitting area, a flat-screen TV and a wealth of storage. Add to that the vaulted ceiling, the en-suite bathroom, and the magnificent view, and you have a haven you might never want to leave.
The other two bedrooms on the main floor are just as comfortable. Each has a queen-size bed, a TV, a ceiling fan and plenty of storage. If you need additional sleeping quarters, the sofa in the game room opens into beds for two, enabling Amazing River Retreat to accommodate eight people in all.
When you’re not fishing for trout in the river that’s right outside your door, there’s plenty more to do in the area. Amazing River Retreat is no more than a half-hour drive from the attractions of both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. You can explore the wildlife, wildflowers and waterfalls of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park one day, the rides and attractions of Dollywood the next, and the galleries, shops and studios of the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop the day after that.
No matter how you spend your days, you’ll love returning to the tranquility of Amazing River Retreat. It’s really a fabulous place for relaxing body and soul. So, what are you waiting for? Book your stay today—we look forward to seeing you!

Beautiful cabin away from the crowds but very accessible. Our kids loved the spacious cabin, the creek, and the woods. We loved the fully equipped kitchen and easy access to the Park and Gatlinburg.

This is the third time to stay at this property. We have never been disappointed! This time, however, a young bear came up to the creek in the back yard! The home is cozy and clean!! No worries when we select this property!!

Wonderful Mountain Getaway
This house has everything you need in a wonderfully tranquil river side location. We really enjoyed our stay. Loved the fishing in the river and the close proximity to Gatlinburg. A great place to unwind and listen to nature all around you.

Beautiful cabin
The cabin was as described! We had a great short stay! Only negative thing I can say - along with what other people have said is the hot tub doesn't go over 86 degrees which was disappointing

Great family cabin
Property was as described. We found it to be clean, convenient, and no problems with internet. Trout river on property, fireplace inside, game room with pool table and foosball. Very comfortable for 5 adults..

horrible
horrible experience , had people fly in from all over the country to walk into a cabin trashed with garbage from last guests, no one cleaned , crumbs, on tables garbage bags piled in kitchen, roach in bathroom , filthy. offered me 75 off !!! biggest insult ! cleaning crew took over two hours while we waited outside. absolutely disappointed !

This is a great location and nice house but there is no internet and the cable was out most of the time. Thankfully we were out most of each day.

Great house with a beautiful view
We had a great time. We loved being on the river (husband fished) and also having the creek in the back for the kids to play. House is cozy with comfortable beds and just about everything you need. Would absolutely stay again

Beautiful!
Exceeded our expectations! The house was clean and had all that was needed for a lovely week stay in the mountains. The yard space and river was enjoyed by my 5 children. It was a quick 20-30 minute drive from all the main attractions. It was very nice to return to a quite place each afternoon.

Quality Time
This property was what we were looking for a family weekend. We also had Bella our 10 lb dog with us. It had plenty of room and while it rained most of the time. We were able to get out to Pigeon Forge and have fun at The Island.

Loved it! Don't forget the essentials though
Awesome cabin. Beautiful, great creek access, very roomy with lots of entertainment. Would have given 5 stars but the house had no salt, pepper, only 1 extra trash bag, and the toilet paper was really bad. All easy things to fix as long as you know you need to grab them at the store (which is very close). Will be back in the summer so the dogs can play in the creek!

Peaceful
Property was quiet, on river. Did not see any wildlife. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, glass ware. Needs a few more forks. Manual can opener was broken, but then found electric can opener under the cabinet. WiFi worked perfectly. My son was able to do online homework. Spotty phone service. Cabin was exactly as stated. Never ran out of hot water. Water pressure great. Washer and dryer worked well. Loved having garage access. Pool table and fooseball tables were great!

Mostly great ...
The location is ideal. The river in front of the house is amazing and so peaceful. It is really close to Gatlinburg and easy to get groceries or eat out.
The communication of how to get into the house was tough to get and then wasn’t accurate. The listing says it has WiFi but it does not. You should really remove that as my husband was expecting that to be able to work.
It truly is very bare bones ... no spices or oils in the kitchen, towels are basic and there are no games so bring your own.
It is a really peaceful place to stay.

Loved the location on the river. Absolutely Gorgeous.
This cabin has everything you need for a great family get away. The river is amazing. However it was moving very fast from all of the Rain this winter. We would have appreciated the instructions telling us where the lock box was located. It would have also been helpful for a couple of lights left on. It was late when we arrived. Cold and dark. Took us a few minutes to figure out how to get in.

Cozy cottage
Cottage was cozy with wood burning fireplace on main floor and stove on bottom level. Wood is not provided so be sure to grab your own. Living space was comfortable and spare rooms very cozy. Master room in loft is not private but nice and master bath was too small. Overall a good place to stay and enjoy the fireside.

Unfortunately we won’t be back
The location is beautiful.. I have to say that. You can’t beat the view and nature however the listing said there was wifi but there isn’t. We had a house full of teenagers and one with online college classes so she had drive into town daily to complete her assignments. There was also no cell coverage with Verizon.
The hot tub would not heat up so we had to call maintenance who fixed it but it didn’t heat up for days.
The upstairs shower leaked into the downstairs bathroom which maintenance also had to come fix.
There was trash in the downstairs game room. We can usually roll with things but when you pay good money for a listing you expect the listing to be as stated. We understand things happen and we were thankful maintenance responded but as business owners it was difficult to take care of things we had to do without proper access to the Internet. Especially when others around us had it.

Right on the river
The cabin was beautiful and right on the water. The cabin was not cleaned very well and found many surprises. Stopped by and spoke to management before leaving. It was nice not having WiFi and getting back to nature.

Truly enjoyed our stay at Amazing River. Beautiful property. Beautiful cabin. Only issue was the patio chair cushions were dirty. Will definitely come back!

Not clean, no internet but river is awesome.
The location is great, the river is awesome and that’s the good. The bad-
It was not as clean as I would expect, the hot tub had someone’s hair in it, so didn’t get in, all bathroom fixtures were not clean so we cleaned them. The cabin is nice, it’s dated but that’s not really important to us. There is no internet access/WiFi provided and if your a Verizon customer the service is very spotty.

Pictures really do show the property!
Our home was under mandatory evacuation orders so we decided to check out this cabin. The pictures really are what you get, even down to the little touches of decor. The kitchen is very well-stocked which made making all of our meals at the cabin a breeze! Just a few things that I wish were different: the carpets really need to be cleaned or changed out, no wifi or cell service in the area (wasn't a huge issue until we had to drive a few miles to make a call), there is quite a smell of smoke when you first walk in (hit me like cigarette smoke would but I really couldn't tell if it maybe had been the fireplaces?), and there were just some upkeep items that should be addressed. We could tell it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned- we found dog toys under the couch and lots of cob webs around the windows. Also, if you are scared of spiders, this is not the place for you (although, there's probably not a single cabin that is suitable for someone scared of spiders). There are several beautiful orb weavers along the balcony and outdoor stairway. My children were in awe of their webs! We also enjoyed the creek being right there, it was freezing but fun for my older ones! Overall, I would recommend! The check in and out process was very easy and their staff is amazing!

Awesome little spot out of the way!Right next to Creek.
We liked being right next to the creek and hearing running water in the morning . Beautiful cabin and lots of room for our family of 6.Biggest complaint is no Wi-Fi at all couldn't get on the App to find out about stuff.Really annoying not to be able schedule things with no internet you had to wait to get out of the cabin to arrange your fun activities .And the upstairs shower does not get hot .Also if you are one that can't sleep with a lot of light the upstairs Master bedroom is completely open, no upstairs bedroom door if you like privacy. But to get away from it all perfect spot. But if you have business you have to do with Internet leave at home since it doesn't work.

Pieceful location, out of the traffic.
We had a great time. Our own private oasis away from all the tourist traffic. Right on the river with plenty of fishing access. Cabin was well appointed.

Nice cabin in a beautiful area. We loved our morning walk.
My husband and I rented this beautiful cabin with our children and grandchildren for a family vacation. There was plenty of room for the 10 of us. Our children and grands stayed in the upper level bedrooms and my hubby and I stayed on the lower level which gave us privacy. But, just know, the pull out sofa was old and extremely uncomfortable! We tried the futon and it was just as bad so we closed up both of them and slept on the sofa, he on one and me on the other, not an ideal situation(sleep deprivation). Our daughter and her 2 young sons stayed in the loft bedroom and was very comfortable. The shower knob in her bathroom was broken but could still be used.
Our son, daughter in law and 3 kids took the main floor bed rooms and were comfortable.
The cabin is really nice and had everything we needed except wash clothes, pillow cases and kitchen linens which I thought was odd, we looked everywhere and couldn't find any. My kids made a run to Wal-Mart to buy these items so we could bathe, cover the pillows and have kitchen linens. There's no curtains on the windows except for the upper bedrooms. I hung sheets over the windows of the downstairs room at night for our privacy, good thing I packed a set of sheets. We all enjoyed the river behind the cabin. The grandkids loved playing in it which really picked up after it rained one night.
I would rent this cabin again because it's very nice but I would pack wash clothes, kitchen linens and pillow cases.
It would be an exceptional cabin if it had a nice bed down stairs instead of the old pull out sofa and a futon.
