WHERE IS THE HOME?
Come enjoy Peace and Quiet Mountain Home, nestled in the quiet community of Cobbly Nob, just outside of Gatlinburg city limits. It is close enough to downtown Gatlinburg to be there in ~20 mins (from entrance of neighborhood), but far enough from the noise and hustle and bustle of downtown to enjoy the nature, beauty and calm serenity of the Smoky Mountains! Cobbly Nob HOA maintains the roads of the neighborhood, so although they are mountainous, they are a beautiful drive with little stress. Cobbly Nob neighborhood boasts 3 neighborhood pools, pickle ball courts and a golf course down the road if interested in a few holes while you are here.
WHAT SETS THIS HOME APART? Well, did I mention the views? You will not find a property with a better unobstructed and private view. We want to provide guests with the vacation experience that WE enjoy and a space to make memories like OUR family. We have all of the amenities a large group or family is looking for in a peaceful mountain getaway; spice cabinet, large serving and cooking dishes, children’s dishes and cutlery, children’s high chair, wine glasses and mixed drink glasses, small appliances such as a griddle, air fryer, large spaghetti pot and KitchenAid mixer!

We had the best time ever at Peace and Quiet Mountain Home! It was nice to have the handicap accessible doors and bathrooms for our parents who are in their 80's. We loved gathering around the large dining table for dinners and having the pool table in the living room where we all could enjoy it was definitely a bonus. We hung out mostly on the back porches just enjoying each other and looking at the beautiful mountain views. It was our family's favorite spot. The game room downstairs became a nightly battle in Mario Kart for the young and old. Hearing all the laughter was priceless. The house was in a perfect location to be out of the hustle and bustle of downtown but was close enough for us to go into Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We also enjoyed the pickle ball courts and one of the 3 pools located in the community for an afternoon. The host Heather is amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better house to make memories in. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Our family spent a week at this beautiful home. The views are amazing and the house is beautifully decorated and well stocked with everything you might need. Heather is a perfect hostess - her communication prior to check-in was so helpful and thorough and she was available and happy to help with the few questions we had during our stay. You won’t regret booking this home!

This property is a well appointed and clean home. We had 4 children along with 6 adults and it was nice not having to tote all the kiddie items as many were provided. Very nice starter items so that grocery shopping is not needed immediately. Loved the 2 outdoor covered decks, one of which was screened in. The roads to get to the property - 8 min from the neighborhood entrance - were no joke with blind curves and sides that were on cliffs without guardrails, but we managed them fine. Just as the listing says, it is a bit of a drive to get to many of the places, but the serenity of the area was worth it. The pools in the community were not crowded at all and we were there over the fourth. We had it all to ourselves one day. We enjoyed our stay!

"Peace and Quiet" is a fitting name for this house. The view from the upper porches is awesome - treetops, mountains and sky.. Heather was very responsive to our questions prior to our visit so we were well informed on how to utilize the bedrooms. This accommodated our staggered arrivals, for every family knew where to take their luggage. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, dishes, and utensils. Every aspect of the house was clean. There was plenty of parking for our four vehicles, especially after putting one in the garage for the week. The older kids and adults loved the game room. This is a spacious house with lots of gathering places so there was always somewhere to find "peace and quiet". Great house, and we're already telling friends and family about it.

To say that staying at this property exceeded our expectations is putting it mildly! Heather was great in communication of what to expect, timelines, options, and just “checking in” without it being too much. This is the first property we’ve ever stayed at that didn’t exaggerate the look, feel, amenities, etc.
Our family - including children and grandchildren - found plenty of space to be together for meals, games, relaxing, and conversation. At the same time there was plenty of room to spread out and have private/quiet time. The kids absolutely loved the game room (and so did the adults).
All the kitchen tools were available to us to cook both simple and a couple of gourmet meals. While we love to “move around” and experience new locations- this is a home we want to return to…. And will.
Thank you Heather for making this special place available to our family!

Best VRBO experience. 10/10 recommend!!!

Beautiful location in the mountains. The house was everything we needed
for all ages to include babies. It was clean and well supplied. Get your groceries before you make the narrow and winding trip up the mountain. Beautiful view and excellent sunsets.

This property is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, inside & out. The only way to describe the views is SPECTACULAR!! This property has more than enough space to accommodate large groups/families. We had a family of twelve (4 kids, 8 adults) ranging in ages from the youngest (1) to the oldest (82). No one was ever bored, when we weren’t out & about in town everyone found plenty in the house to keep them entertained, from playing games to just sitting & relaxing on the porches. All my bunch seemed to congregate to the most comfortable bed swing on the open porch. Every night us grown ups played some of the most intense but comical games of UNO:) That is what this trip was about, family time & making memories. This was the first time I’ve had all my kids & grandkids under one roof, we spent a week together and it was perfect. Ms. Heather was absolutely wonderful to work with, she communicated everything about the house & the bears. And yes, we saw many bears:) If there are any future trips for us back to the mountains my family will definitely stay here again!!

Thank you Heather for hosting us, this was truly amazing for our family from northern Minnesota!!

We had a great stay here. Super clean on arrival, nothing to complain about at all. I would easily recommend this place to anyone looking for a very quiet getaway with great views. It's clear Heather really puts a lot of effort to make this a nice place to enjoy. Hopefully we'll come back soon! Thanks!

I spent a lot of time looking before we chose this house and it was more than we could have asked for. There were 13 of us in all from age 6 to 77. We all oohhed and ahhhed over the house and all the amenities. The kitchen, porch, hot tub and pool table were by far the favorites!! Who could complain with views like that!! It is literally the perfect family vacation home in the mountains. We didn’t check out the community pool but we did utilize the golf course. It was beautiful and challenging. The road is steep and (not going to lie) a little scary going up the first time but you do get used to it. We did see bears! We used a lot of the kitchen equipment. We only ate one meal outside the home. I really couldn’t think of a negative.

We were a family group of four siblings, our families, and our mom. We had 15 people total, ranging in age from 6 to 69. This house met our needs perfectly! The house was gorgeous, the views were stunning, and Heather was so communicative and attentive. The house was plenty large enough for everyone. The little kids loved the downstairs game room and the 17-year-olds loved the pool table. The swing on the deck was a favorite spot every morning. Coffee with breathtaking views! Photos seriously do not do the views justice! We could not have had a better stay in the Gatlinburg area!

Great property. Wonderful views. Family of 16 including 8 adults, 4 teens, and 4 children under 9. Enough room for all. Loved the garage and extra refrigerator. Screened in porch was amazing and all enjoyed the hot tub. Roads are challenging but doable. Pools are available but not conveniently located in relation to house for kids who want to swim often.

This property was everything we could imagine in perfection. The location is 500 feet above the highway with two porches having a nearly private view of the Smokey Mountains but only a short distance to the park, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge. We used both neighborhood pools, the family room pool table, and our 7 and 8 year old camped out in the children's game room on four very large and colorful beanbags with video and arcade games provided in the unit. They also frequented the Whirlpool daily. Heather, who manages the unit kept us informed on all the amenities and how they worked as well as cautioning us about the bears which we did see on occasion. With ten of us we had plenty of room and all could sit together around a ten person round dining table. The kitchen was well equipped and we had access to two side by side refrigerators. I would highly recommend this property to any group. It is a spectacular unit.

This property definitely lives up to expectations! Heather is very attentive and accurate in her descriptions. We had 19 of us ages 3-77. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely. The view from the back porch is amazing. The bed swing was enjoyed by all. We had rain storms twice while there and LOVED listening to the rain while on the porch. The space inside was amazing. Plenty of space in the open living room, dining room and kitchen. The pool table was a big hit with the adults. The game room was a nice space for the kids to go play. A Smash Bros tournament was had by all of the grandkids-ages 8-25. Even though the downstairs doesn’t have a door to close it off, we all commented how the sound didn’t travel far, and it was very pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only half of us were blessed to see a bear, but it was fun to keep looking in the mornings and evenings. Heather even alerted us one evening when bears had been spotted on a neighbor’s ring camera.
This was an extremely enjoyable stay. Highly recommend.

The property is very very nice and very clean. The amenities were all in excellent condition and very high quality. The view from the back of the property is just fantastic. Tons of places to sit and relax and be with family. Heather, property manager, was very helpful and provided some good videos on what you need to know. Great place to get away from it all.

This place was perfect! The host was amazing. Heather answered every question that we had within minutes. She offered every comfort possible to ensure that our handicapped family members needs were met. The home was stocked with anything and everything that we would need during our stay. Not a speck of dirt or dust could be found. The cleaning crew does a spectacular job! More than enough towels and hot water to accommodate our 10 person family. Close to all of the attractions in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The views are amazing and tons of indoor amenities for those rainy days. (Pool table, foosball, hot tub, air hockey, etc.) We will be booking this place again for our next TN vacation!

This home is appropriately named, Peace and Quiet. The views from every room on the back of the house are gorgeous. It is a 30 minute drive into downtown Gatlinburg which puts you close enough to enjoy the tourist opportunities but far enough to truly get away from the hustle and bustle. Heather is an attentive hostess who truly cares about the property and your experience. We have stayed in many short term rentals across the country and this one is among the nicest ones with amenities and careful considerations to make sure you have ample supplies while there. The home is even better than described. Book it with zero concerns. It will not disappoint!

This house was the perfect destination for our family's time away together. The house has everything you want to take some time off. The mountain views were great from dawn through night and the hot tub was rarely unoccupied. The kids loved the game and theater rooms downstairs and even with 7 adults and 7 small children there was always plenty of space and an open bathroom. We also enjoyed the house's location, close to downtown Gatlinburg and the National Park without being right in the middle of it all. We really enjoyed our stay.

This home is a perfect place for a large family get together. We were a group of 16. Plenty of space for all. The fully furnished kitchen was amazing for cooking. There was plenty of seating for all during meals. The game room was amazing for all ages. The adults loved the pool table. The hot tub was great and of course we all loved the porches with the swing and fireplace. The added bonus was the sunrise view. We knew the sunsets would be great but didn’t expect the sunrise view as well. Heather has added a lot of great touches to the home as well as being an attentive host. Don’t miss this home. It’s our favorite mountain rental.

My family and I (8 adults and 7 kids), stayed in the house for Thanksgiving this year. It was perfect for us! The kids loved the game room and the bunk room, and the adults equally loved the rest of the house!

It was a great process from check in to check out. The house is amazing and offers ample space for a large crowd. The porches (one screened in) are AMAZING; spent a lot of time on the porch swing. The view is stunning!!

The house was big and beautiful, the view, weather up top or on the bottom balcony was amazing. The reason for the one 4 star was because of the mandatory insurance or $5000 in cash , but after being there, I get it. The house has been built and finished with a lot of high end materials. When we go back in a couple years, I hope it will be available because it is just what we were looking for. Thank you.

Everything was amazing. Communication, views, amenities. We could not have asked for more.

House was beautiful, views were amazing. No issues checking in or getting out. Host was readily available to answer any questions. Great convenient location. Mountain hikes minutes away. Shopping in town just right down the road. Rainy days didnt dampen the mood… the cabin had it all. Kids played in the gameroom, guys played pool, back porch swing was a huge hit as well as the hot tub.

With the group of 18 including 6 kids, we had a great time at this property. The breathtaking views from the balcony, cleanliness, location everything was perfect. The layout of the house is perfect for bigger groups, the kids had great time at the game room and the rest enjoyed the pool table in the living room. We also spotted bears on a few occasions in the community which was amazing. I’ll definitely come back and recommend someone. Heather was amazing with quick reply to any questions. 👍

Lovely property. Beds for all 16 of us. Great game room for the kids. Lovely kitchen space. Mama Bear and 3 cubs were regular visitors. Heather was so amazingly responsive. Pretty sure we could be friends ☺️

Our entire family takes a vacation every two years and picks a property to go to an experience life together for a week. We had an extraordinary time enjoying this amazing property with good access to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The house and all its amenities were in great shape. Heather was extraordinarily kind and communicative and made the process seamless. The property is located high up into the mountains and thus the views were gorgeous. The grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the access to the community pools. The memories we made were priceless!

Beautiful home, wonderful hosts
We can’t say enough good things about this home! It was beautiful, clean, had everything we needed for our group of 15. We spent most of our time on the back porches enjoying the gorgeous views and peaceful sounds. Heather and EJ (the hosts) were so on top of it, sent very easy directions for check in/out, answered any questions we had quickly and made sure our stay was perfect! The location of the home was about 20 mins from Gatlinburg and 35 from Pigeon Forge which made it easy to do some day trips and come back to our serene, peaceful home. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Gatlinburg!

We, family of 5 , 19 people came to this wonderful cabin, the owner keep us informed and gave lots of information about trip and stores around. Plus, a V2 EV charger which filled my need of my car which saved tons of my time. We encountered black bear on the 1st day after arriving, such a wonderful surprise, glad everyone was safe and got excited.
Kids, from all families enjoyed the game room, lots of games.
Moms, enjoy the kitchen experiences there, the owner Heather provides tons of kitchen tools more than I have at home, lol. Moms give high five for the supply.
Dads, we had two photographers , really enjoyed the views from the balcony. we have mountain view, thunderstorm , sunset view picture taken during the stay.
Everyone had a wonderful holiday. Thanks Heather, we enjoyed.
We would like to stay there again.
