Though I did not have the privilege of staying in the red house and I normally stay in the big gray house on our family trips to Camp Willow, I hear so many nice things about this place. Mostly house COLD the ac is and how roomy and cute the house is. The red house is a favorite. We always enjoy our stay here and each house is accommodating.

Great property,run down house
The camp property was nice and in a good location. However, the river pics are inaccurate. There is no sandy or rocky beach leading to the water. It's all overgrown brush and trash. The only way in the water is to jump from the dock and the water there is full of moss. The main reason we wanted this rental is so the dogs and kids could play in the shallow water but we didn't go in that water once. We couldn't get in the house for check in because the lockbox was not easy to figure out. We had to call the maintenance lady to open it up at night. There is no working tv, we had to go purchase a roku so we could play Netflix at night. The maintenance lady was very nice but we could tell she didn't know what to do and the owner wasn't very helpful to her on the phone at all. The shower is so tiny you can't even bend over to shave, barely enough room to turn around and it's very hot in there with no ac in that room. This place has great potential but it looks like they went the cheapest possible route. We would not stay here again

Cute property that could use some improvements
Our stay was acceptable. We stayed here for our trip to float the comal river. The property is very pretty, we loved being outside and seeing all of the big trees and the water, and the string lights were a nice touch. We didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit but it looks like a great place to hang out!
As for the house, we had 2 couples and 4 singles. One couple in the queen room, one couple on the bottom bunk, a single on the top bunk, and the other three singles on the couches. They reported that the couches were preferable to pulling out the couch beds because those were flimsy and you could feel the metal frame inside. They said the couches themselves were acceptable to sleep on except one was a little short because we had a tall guy. The queen bed and the bunk beds were very comfortable though. Unfortunately there were not enough blankets for the couch sleepers, but we managed with the couple of extra blankets we brought and sharing the bedding that was available to us.
There were plenty of towels provided to us and the kitchen had just about everything we needed to cook meals. The utensils and pans were a little dirty but I just washed them before using.
The one big thing that was problematic was the shower. The shower itself is tiny, but the real problem is the water pressure. The shower head needs to be cleaned as some of the holes don’t shoot out any water, and the holes that do shoot water have such a tiny stream and low pressure. It is impossible to get a good wash in there after being on the river and being sweaty.
Also, while we were comfortable enough during the day with the air temperature, a lot of us were sweating at night without being able to turn the a/c below 72 and having a comforter to sleep under.
This property provided us ample space and our basic needs as well as a lovely outdoor space, but could be greatly improved with just a few upgrades. Namely the shower and more bedding options.

Wonderful getaway!
All was as advertised, except the main bedroom did not have a curtain to cover the large glass door. The house was missing several key curtains, which is an issue because it is close to neighboring houses and has substantial outside lighting that the visitor cannot turn off. Other than that, a fantastic place!

Pretty nice stay
This spot was pretty sweet. About a 25 min drive to texas tubes, it's near a main street so eating out was a good option as many restaurants/stores were no further then 10 mins away. They have a fridge if you decide to buy your own. They only inconvenience was theres only one dock for 3 maybe 4 cabins, and if your shy then it's awkward when there's other guest enjoying their day on the dock with tents planted right next to it. But it was a nice place alot bigger on the inside. The TV only had one channel but we didn't really watch it much as we were on the river. The neighbors were AWESOME. Great place for the price.

Awesome time!
I got a group of college friends together for a river trip and stayed here! When we first got there the cabin looked really small but once you get in it’s very spacious and fit everyone nicely. Everything was clean :) We really liked how the camp is set up with multiple cabins and plenty of yard space and a dock. We made friends with the other groups in the other cabins and all hung out around the fire pit! Overall loved our time here and will be returning!

My stay
The property was so nice but the house had a couple of things that weren’t expecting. The bathroom had no air conditioning and the room with the bunk beds stayed hot if you were the one on the top. Also, I texted the number that I was told to call if there was a problem and while they did call me back no one ever came to fix the sink. It stayed clogged and we couldn’t get it to drain and the lady I spoke to told me she would have have the maintenance guy come but no one ever showed up.

Does not sleep 10!!!
So the pictures of the property that are posted are from several years ago. They do not have water Up to the bank as shown. The water was very low compared to what was advertised. The two fold out beds that slept 4 of or 10 people do not function. The springs were not connected and they basically slept on the floor and couch cushions. The fridge leaked constantly onto the floor and none of the 3 window units work. It was a hot! Only 1 of the 4 burners on the stove work, none of the fire alarms had batteries.... I really could go on. Beware!! I have pictures to document also.

Girls Trip
First, Emailing the owner is impossible to get a response, however, she does answer if you text or call her personal phone! Next, the pictures for the listing are WAY over due to be reupdated! The water level was extremely low and had been for quite some time, due to the trees and weeds grown up all over where the water use to be! Next, the house is tremendously poor for what was paid! The couches are so old you just sit on them and sink into the them so much the actual bed rails are visible, they say you can pull them out into beds but this is just about impossible due to them being right beside the bathroom door so if you wanted to pull them out you are blocking off access to the bathroom completely , the smoke alarms all had NO batteries, the shower was so tiny and had no water pressure to hardly even rinse off with, the small bathroom stayed so hot, the floor was peeling off from the shower and they only supply 5 towels for a home that should fit 8-10 people so when you use those up you have to go wash them so others can have a clean towel cause Maria the housekeeper says they don't keep any extra on hand, the stove did not heat up to correct temperature and when running it was steaming through the top stove top having liquids come out everywhere, the stove top the front right burner didn't even work, the refrigerator was tiny and barley fit food or drinks, the air conditioners are old and they smell of mildew and if kept on they freeze up and the house never really cools off much they constantly say change ac filters but housekeeper stated to just click it off they always say that, the outside light had a birds nest build inside of it so the housekeeper did come down and clean that out, the other lights hanging outside half of them did not work, the back bedroom door had fuzz coming out of the top of the door, the back bedroom curtain rods were falling off and you could clearly see they just randomly screw them in since there was already 6 holes from where they just keep scooting the rods down to screw them in, the back bedroom had a glass door people could clearly see in from other properties so possibly a curtain for that for privacy, and the dock was for all four properties but could only hold maybe 8 people . There was a loose dog and cat roaming the property pooping the 4 days we were there and the trash outside was overflowing and was never changed the 4 days we stayed at this property.

Nice property
Nice peaceful property. Cabin is a little small though with only one bathroom. Water is not ideal to swim in. Good enjoyable time. There are other cabins right next to this one that share the property.

Great outdoors
The house only can sleep 6 people, the sofas are in pretty bad shape to sit, much less to sleep on. The refrigerator and the shower are very small. Now the outdoors are very good we had lots of fun.

Perfect getaway close to home
I booked this red cabin and the gray cabin next to it for a family getaway. It was just perfect for a weekend on the lake! The family that stayed in this cabin was a couple with their two kids who slept on the bunk beds. We had 2 more adults planned to stay but weren’t able to make it after all and it’s probably for the best as it would have been doable but a very tight fit for 6. We can’t say enough about the property outside - it’s fantastic and where we spent the majority of our time anyway. Thor was very accommodating and answered all my calls/texts for every I booked this red cabin and the gray cabin next to it for a family getaway. It was just perfect for a weekend on the lake! A Family Connection
We all have such busy lives.. With work, school and bills so on ... My family was really feeling a need to connect and unwind and just relax. Upon searching.... We found this cute red cabin.
I was so worried heading there that our family vacation would suffer because something would not go well..or be a disappointment. Then we would be right back to stress.
Total shock upon arrival... Pictures do not capture the peace and simplicity. We spent the best time since a long time..together. I was able to relax and enjoy my family... We had conversations, laughed, played ..heck we even lost a phone in the water and did not freak or panic ... Long before we realized it. Most importantly we made memories and have located a place to return for future vacays to come. Our "Family connection" spot. Hope it brings good times and peace filled memories for you as it did for us. By the Way ...clean, quiet, neat, comfortable, beautiful what more can you ask for ..

Beautiful outdoors
Don't expect to sleep 10. There are 3 beds and 2 pull out beds from the couches. The pull out beds are awful. Kids can sleep anywhere but our kids could not even sleep on the pull out beds because they were too old and the springs were popping out of the mattress. To even sit on the couch was uncomfortable. Awful couches. We could not watch TV because there was no service connection. Could only watch movies with our Netflix account. The cabin had a moldy smell. The shower was so small and you have to run the hot water for about 5 minutes before the water gets hot. The outdoors was the best part. So make sure the weather is going to be good so you can spend most of your time outside.

Camp Willow-Red Cabin
My family and I stayed at the red cabin and we had a blast. 4 adults/two kids. I will attempt to cover everything: The cabin was prepared very neat and clean. The entire camp was well groomed and ready to go. We caught catfish, bass, and perch. The communication with Thor was optimal. Really cool, understanding guy. Even though it was August heat, the cypress trees gave us plenty of shade to be comfortable. The cleaning lady was very helpful and nice. I really don't have any complaints. Only advice I have is bring a portable sound bar so you can play some music while relaxing in the water. I'm glad I brought mine. Definitely going to book Camp Willow next summer. Semper Fi.

Great vacation
We stayed here last weekend and it was fabulous. Really liked the property it was beautiful. Only thing I would say that I wish the house had was a bigger Fridge. There were 9 of us in the house and to buy enough food for us and store it was difficult. Other than that we loved it there. We will return again for sure. The owner Thor that we talked to was very pleasant and we were impressed all the way around.

BEAUTIFUL OUTDOORS
The outdoors here are amazing, the cabin is dated and needs a little bit of TLC. There is no fence on the property for dogs. The couch beds are not usable, we had to put the mattresses on the floor. We really enjoyed the kayaks and grilling in the afternoons. Overall it was a lot like camping out, but we really enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful and Tons of Shade Trees!
Our week at the cabin was very peaceful. The property is huge! Fireflies came out in the evening which was very cool! It's fun to watch the people skiing and boating on the river. From the shore, we fished for both bass and crappie but didn't catch anything. I think it was too hot. We brought two umbrella chairs and glad we had them so we could sit on the dock to fish. The cabin was just right for two adults and two dogs. Clean. Older but we expected that and it was fine. A few items you might want to be aware of. The dock, boat ramp and fire pit are all shared facilities with three other cabins on the property. In other words, you won't be the only ones using them if there are other guests in the other cabins. Bring your own salt and pepper seasoning and tissues. The glass door in the master bedroom has no covering so we used a bed sheet as a drape. The WiFi works great. The TV has tons of channels. For the dogs there are poo bags and a poo trash provided. Lots our huge trees and wonderful shade. Everything is as pictured and represented. We had a very nice time. I would recommend this cabin.

Cool spot, for family and friends.
Our families came together here, 4 adults, 2 kids, and 4 dogs. We fit nicely and enjoyed the open property, fishing and fire pit. The red house had everything we needed, but would suggest putting a curtain or towel (like we did) over the door in the bedroom for privacy. Thanks for the great stay!

Wurst Fest!!!
We absolutely loved the location right on the water and only minutes from the festival. The house was cozy as we expected but the couches need some attention desperately. As we advised the owner we had 10 people stay but with the shape of the fold away beds we were unable to use either of them. Luckily, we brought several blow up mattresses just in case. This is a great place to bring your friends/family and spend quality time outside but I would definitely address the sleeping arrangement or not post that it can sleep 10. Overall, we had a fantastic time and made great memories.
