The fee item ‘property fee’ is $150 towards this cost, owner will pay the other $150.. more and more communities and towns are starting to restrict short term rentals, we try to keep our prices competitive but this is becoming the new normal and ‘the priceto pay’ to stay in a beautiful home and community in a easily accessed community. The house was perfect for our family. Very clean and well equipped kitchen. Fun puzzles and so relaxing.

We stayed here for our trip to the Highland Games on Grandfather Mountain. The location was close enough to the games and far enough from the crowds. The only thing that I may have miss-read in the description was that three of the 4 bedrooms are downstairs which is basically the basement. There was only one (1) bedroom on the main floor. Four of us were seniors stairs aren’t always friendly.

This house was great for our family (7 adults, 1 baby) to meet at and stay a week. The wraparound porches were amazing, 2 large hammocks were used by most of us, and we used the grill and ate outside for 2 of our meals. The house and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful! We saw deer right outside several days. The house is completely updated and we would definitely stay here again.

Central location to everything in the area, but away from the chaos. We had deer outside our windows all day every day. No street or neighbor noise, just relaxation. Neighborhood could be tricky driving/parking for large SUVs or trucks although we saw others handling it with ease, and we were able to maneuver in an Armada.

Blowing Rock is an amazing place during the week of July 4th! Cedar Retreat was the perfect place for our family to stay for our brief Independence Day getaway- very comfortable and well suited for cooking delicious meals and fun hanging out. Property Manager was easily accessible and super great to work with. We would come back again!

Home is well decorated and aesthetically pleasing. Very quiet, secluded, and peaceful. Had to do some of our own cleaning upon check-in but overall a great stay.

Really enjoyed our stay over a long weekend. The location is great - easy to get to sights in Boone and Blowing Rock, and the house has plenty of room. Really enjoyed the fireplace and views from each room. Shanaaz is wonderful, she even turned up the heat so I wouldn't arrive to a cold house. Excellent weekend with friends to leave work and responsibilities behind for a few days.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was lovely and so comfortable. Everything we needed was there. The view was amazing and the deck was very welcoming. The neighborhood was quiet and private. The owner was quick to respond to a question. The location was great, away from the busyness of downtown Boone but close enough to get there fairly quickly. We would recommend staying here.

This house was perfect for a weekend getaway! We originally had planned to drive to the mountains for the day to look at the fall leaves; but when we saw this house on Vrbo was available, we decided to book it. Shanaaz, our host, was very kind and helpful throughout our stay.
The house was beautiful with a large living area with a wood burning fireplace. The view was spectacular, and we enjoyed sitting on the wrap around deck.
I would definitely recommend this house!

Perfect last minute get away for our family. Tucked away in a gorgeous country club but still feels like you’re out in the woods a all alone. A family of five all had their own space. So clean and it felt so much like a cozy cabin that you wouldn’t want to leave. 5 stars!

This place was so great. The back deck goes across the entire house and is spacious with plenty of seating. The hammocks were wonderful. There was plenty of space inside for the 5 of us and we would have been comfortable with more! The house is exactly like the pictures. We had such a nice time!

The property manager, Shanaaz and her husband were wonderful hosts. Very friendly and super helpful. The property was just what we were looking for. 4 nice bedrooms. In the woods and very peaceful but close to Blowing Rock, Boone and Banner Elk. Very centrally located to all three.

Very nice place to stay during our family ski trip. The house was easy to get to and had wonderful views. Only issue we had was the hot water took a long time to warm up and the upstairs bathroom shower was not meant for taller people but for sure not anything to stop me from renting again and telling others about the house!

Our family decided to visit Blowing Rock and our children wanted to ski so this was the PERFECT location for both! The house is beautiful and has everything you need. Master bedroom is on main floor and 3 bed/2 bath downstairs. All beautiful, comfy, and clean. We will definitely return. Shanaaz communicated quickly to a few questions I had. Excellent service all around. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Booking process was easy as was check-in. Shanaaz was very helpful throughout the entire process and even came by the first day to make sure we had everything we needed. A major winter storm hit during our stay and I expressed concerns about the possibility of getting stranded. She assured me she would work with me on staying an extra night if needed and actually made those arrangements although they were not needed. She was fabulous!
The owner even sent the neighbor by to make sure we had everything we needed. The house is exactly as pictured, The house is very clean and well kept. It was beautiful during the snow storm and because of the decks and sitting areas would be great in the Spring, Summer and Fall. I would highly recommend this house as it is in an ideal location. There is a short walk to the house from the parking area as there is no garage. The parking area is big enough so no worries (one of the biggest I saw within the resort). Actually, saw three deer while we were there. Would definitely recommend four wheel drive in the winter. The resort scraped the roads and applied salt four times during the storm while we were there. Very nice neighborhood and property.
Another shout out to Shanaaz for making our stay enjoyable!!

We had a great time staying at this house in Hound Ears. The location was exactly what we wanted. Shanaaz, the property manager, was easy to work with and made the process run smoothly. Love the porches and fire place.

Beautiful home and property. There are houses nearby, but you still have that feeling of seclusion. Even though it rained for 2 of our 3 days, we still enjoyed much needed family time. The hammocks were a huge hit and the wrap around porch was where I spent most of my mornings. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for sharing your home.

This terrific home within Hound Ears was perfect for our family of four (boys 12 and 9). My wife and I took the upstairs bedroom and each boy had a room downstairs...with a room left over! Terrific westward-facing deck (sunset view!) with two hammocks that we all enjoyed. At the end of a street within Hound Ears, so it felt very private. Great stone fireplace and picture windows; kitchen was adequately stocked to prepare a meals and there is a nice, clean propane grill under the covered section of the porch. Would happily return!

We were first greeted by a charming and friendly gate keeper, who was very helpful in figuring out dinner plans. Hounds Ears Club neighborhood was charming. the house itself was perfect! the kitchen and main living space lended itself to wonderful games and family time. The space is large while still being inviting and cozy. We enjoyed the games, puzzles, and books around the big fireplace, which kept us toasty on the cold winter days. Resting in the hammock, while enjoying the beautiful mountain view was relaxing. The house was in close proximity and easy to travel to our spots for the weekend! hawks nest, wilderness alpine coaster, downtown boone, blowing rock, foggy mountain gem mining and grocery stores were all within a easy travel distance. The host was very helpful in preparing for our stay, and answered all our questions in a timely manner. we would love to come back and create more family memories here! thanks for having us!

My wife, my two daughters and four of their friends stayed at this mountain house. They location was perfect for us since we wanted to be close to Bourne and Sugar Mountain. The house had every appliance we needed and he was well stocked with utensils. The golf community in which the house is located was very nice too. We recommend the property. Shanaaz, the property owner, wasa pleasure to deal with. She was very communicative and responsive.

The house, neighborhood and accommodations were great. Shanaaz (property manager) was so accommodating, attentive and friendly - it was like we knew her for years.

Great getaway. The home was comfortable, large rooms and comfortable beds with beautiful big windows to enjoy the view. The home was nicely decorated and updated with exception of one bathroom that seemed outdated compared to rest of home. The home was easy to get to and had everything we needed to cook. We didn't have to travel more than 20 min to get to some amazing hikes or things to do. I did not have to communicate with the owner much, I was sent information via email that answered my questions about the property and area. Would love to come back again.
