Fab clean and comfy seaside holiday apartment.
Fab clean and comfy seaside holiday apartment.
Loved the large bright living area with the views over the square.
Great location with just a short walk to the Ramshill shops. A short walk the other way takes you to the South cliff where the views over Scarborough bay are beautiful day and night.
We would definitely love stay again.

This apartment is ideally placed for a holiday in Scarborough.
This apartment is ideally placed for a holiday in Scarborough. It's 5 minutes walk from the beach, centre of town etc. It was spotlessly clean when we checked in and parking vouchers were provided (we actually didn't have enough, but a call to the owner sorted the issue out). We parked right outside the apartment with no problems. It is very comfortable and has all the equipment you need for a self-catering holiday.
It is a very small space - particularly the bedroom and bathroom. Not much storage space to unpack into in the bedroom (1 wardrobe, no drawers) and a very tight squeeze between the shower and the sink when you're sitting on the toilet. However, this didn't spoil our enjoyment of our time there. You should also be aware that the flat is on the second floor, so not suitable for people with mobility issues (or very heavy luggage!). Don't be put off by the slightly shabby lobby on the ground floor - it is not representative of the flat itself.
The instructions we were given said that the keysafe was the middle one of 3 - there are actually 5 there now and the one you want is the second one down.

This apartment had everything we needed for a short stay in and around Scarborough. Good location just a short walk from the seafront. Very short walk to Sainsbury’s for provisions etc. Plenty of restaurants and takeaways within walking distance.

The flat is conveniently situated for the South bay area, only a few minutes inland from the Spa complex. In the opposite direction, a 15 minute walk takes you to the railway station, Steven Joseph Theatre and the top of the town.
The ground floor entrance has a damp, musty smell, but the flat on the second floor is fine. The 32 steps up to the flat could be a problem if you have heavy luggage, although we were warned in advance.
This is a dog friendly flat, so I suppose it was inevitable to find a few stray dog hairs around, but on the whole the flat was clean.
It was strange to find dish washer tablets in the welcome pack; there isn't a dish washer??
And although there was an instruction manual for a toaster, that too was missing.

I worried when I first went through main door due to the damp smell in hall way, but the apartment is beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable, only gripe was there was no permit left out but phone call to owner rectified this straight away, also the welcome box had dishwasher powder mixed in with the complimentary biscuits, this surprised me because the property does not have a dishwasher in situ, however this was the cleaning company that did this not the owner, the weather was beautiful which was a bonus, the apartment did not smell of dog it was lovely and fresh. , and some good suggestions of dog friendly places left by the owner was a bonus.

This is a lovely apartment in a good location. It was well presented although, on the small side. However, still very suitable for a single person or a couple. There was sufficient equipment for cooking etc. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The owner was also very happy to help.
