Very reasonably priced. We had our elderly in-laws with us… toilets good for handicapped but not the bathing areas and there is no seating in the home suitable for handicapped. All backless stools for dining and a vey low sofa. The living area on the main level reaked of the smell of an ash tray so we weren’t able to spend much time there. Shower heads have zero water pressure, only a drip at times, so you have to wash your hair in the big jacuzzi tubs.
Nice game room area! Beautiful views from the hot tub (though it’s on its last leg) Just needs a good cleaning and some updates.

Just left this property with a family party of 11. The house was clean and well-maintained. The teenagers enjoyed having their own space in the living room area outside of the master bedroom. The owner, Todd, was extremely responsive. I messaged him about a missing remote control and someone brought us one within 10 minutes. We also enjoyed feeding the family of deer that came through the yard every day at dusk.

We had a wonderful time staying here! Town is close with lots of fun things to do! The kids got to gem mine and the mountain coaster was well worth it! The views from this place it worth staying here alone! There is enough space for everyone to be together or spread out! We watched several firework shows for the 4th and it was amazing! The owner was wonderful with the communication, knowledgeable and very helpful! Definitely would come back!

Our first family vacation in two years couldnt have been better. We got to enjoy mountain views and peaceful nights, which made engaging with each other a really special time. We were visited every morning and evening by one of the resident deer and she would walk all thw way up to the covered porch for us to fed her carrots. Amazing trip, thank you Todd and Christie!

We had the space that we needed for everyone to be comfortable and also to spend time together. The house has everything that you can need

The property is nice but could use some upgrades. There was a broken tile in the master bath and the outdoor area had old, unusable furniture. Overall, this was nice and we had a great time! The location is excellent!

Property advertised as handicapped friendly. Both bathroom floors had huge cracks that were large enough to be considered tripping hazards. Lots of small rugs on floors. Also tripping hazards. Furniture in sitting area very worn and uncomfortable. Outside patio featured indoor furniture that had been there for a while and was weather worn. Not too classy! Cleaning fees are expected in rental properties, but I've never been required to strip linens from all beds including duvet covers and start washer with bath linens. My group has been renting properties for many years for our trips and this is by far the worst experience we have had.

Best location near Banner Elk, and very spacious and clean house. Owners communicated extremely well.

Great views and amazing house. Great for gatherings with family and friends.

The house exactly what we hoped for. Very clean , spacious, and centrally located. The fall colors were very beautiful! Everything was within 40 miles. Great shopping in Blowing Rock and Boone. Lots of hiking trails, waterfalls, and history! Hope to be back soon!

WOW! My family and I went a short trip to Beechmountain NC not sure where to stay and with15 people. Kristy and her husband made sure this was our home away for home. Very clean well spaced out jumped right on any questions we had. The house is really just down the street for everything and my sister Jane said they love the house and the views and she could just live there. Thank you again Shari

For me and my family this was our first real vacation and it was one of the most amazing experiences we have had in our lives. I fell in love with this part of North Carolina and everyone was so nice. The houses was more than I could have expect it to be the pictures don’t do it justice. The houses and property are huge , amazing views , very clean , so much to do , and the lady that came to clean the house when we were leaving was absolutely amazing so sweet and caring . I left the houses so nice she was shocked . Lol thank you again will definitely be back .

We stayed at Kastlerock and we loved the house AND the location! There was plenty of space for everyone to not feel confined; the views are amazing; the house is fantastic. The driveway was a little difficult, but it is what it is.

We had family from OH, FL and SC stay for a few days and it was the perfect size for all of us. Everything was great. We loved exploring the area with so many adventures to go on. Thank you for being a great host! : D

This property was the perfect size for our family. We woke up to incredible views, saw deer and other wildlife on the property. It was right next to this beautiful meadow. The garden tubs were so relaxing. Todd and his family were very accommodating to my elderly moms needs and supplied chairs with backs for the table upon request (the picture shows backless stools). There aren’t any clocks on the property aside from one on the patio without batteries, which we were ok with. It helped us focus on each other, and remain stress free without worrying about the passing of time. It was a dream. The beds were very comfortable and the game room downstairs was great for the kids. If you go with your family, bring paints to add a rock to the Little Rock snake they have out back. We are already trying to plan another trip next summer to hopefully stay here again.

The property worked for us. Liked the convenience to banner Elk and the cooler temps. Enjoyed the outside table and we used it every night. A good time was had by all. Thanks

This house has everything you could ever want and more in a rental home huge island kitchen all the bedrooms have their own master bath. Our group was so comfortable here. It is so close to town and to Beach Mountain and Sugar Mountain and Grandfather Mountain. Less then 5 minutes to town. You actually look at Grandfather Mountain from this property and the views are amazing. We will definitely be staying again. We had a large group of 21 and everybody had their own space, and all of the rooms having their own bathrooms made all the couples comfortable. The bunk room was great for the kids and exploring the creek and the property every day was fantastic. The views from the property at night time made you feel like you were on top of the world.

Good-size house with comfortable beds and a nice view. Host was quick to respond to my emails/texts. Guests could spread out on 3 floors. Pool table, air hockey and darts were fun to play in the basement. Large outside table was covered on patio so we spent a lot of time out there, eating and doing puzzles. Good place to have morning coffee. Corn hole boards were a plus. We had 9 adults & 3 kids for 4 nights. Also 2 additional adults spent one night on the futon. Plenty of room for a large group. We were celebrating a birthday and were there on July 4th. We were able to watch the fireworks in the distance from the yard. We hiked, tubed and enjoyed several breweries closeby.

This is the place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing getaway. It’s far enough off the beaten path to expose you to peace and tranquility. However, it’s close enough to get to a market to get the inevitable things you forgot to bring. The daily siting of a doe and her two fawns grazing on the property was always a highlight. We had a minor issue with some persistent yellow jackets nesting in the jacuzzi. One call to the property owner and he immediately had some one come out to address it. I would definitely recommend this property for your next mountain getaway.

Kastlerock was really beautiful. The house was big enough for our family and 2 dogs. The kitchen was outstanding and i loved looking out of the kitchen window washing dishes. We were able to see one of the deer family. She came close to us and the grandchildren loved seeing nature. There is a little creek nearby, that you should walk to. You can hear the river from the yard. The field of daisy was a supprise.
We really enjoying the stunning night view while sitting in the hot tub.
We enjoyed it so much we didnt want to leave

This home was so beautiful! Super comfy for a large family. Kids loved the game area! The host was super kind and super responsive!!! We will be back.

Great location between Sugar Mountain and Beach Mountain. We really enjoyed beautiful views and comfortable stay. Everything we needed was there - well equipped kitchen, relaxing spa and fun game zone.
4.8
We enjoy our stay, we had a perfect weather and enjoy skiing so much!
4.8
The house is so super nice, and so comfortable! It has a spectacular view. It fit our family nice, and there’s even room to spare. The energy in the house was wonderful. You can tell us a family oriented house. Definitely stay again.
4.8
Perfect place for our 8 adults and 5 kiddos with room to spare! Easy drive to the slops, hot tub and jacuzzi baths were amazing! So many fun activities in the game room!
4.8
This property was just what we were looking for. 3 small families fit nicely, very well equipped for cooking, close proximity to skiing and hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a long day on the slopes.
4.8
This house is amazing. So much room for activities. We met Todd on our way in and he was so helpful our entire stay. The house has everything you need for cooking. The pool table and air hockey table were a huge plus. Even with all the snow even the hottub was used. Of you are going in the winter strongly encourage 4 wheel drive or snow chains even with the road and driveway were plowed.
We will be booking again!!!

Enjoyed our stay!

Our family really enjoyed this house! It’s a big house so it was great to be able to spread out. The downstairs game room was a lot of fun! The owner is very responsive (both before we arrived if I had questions and also during our stay). Use caution if you use the grill. We grilled some steaks one night and had a descent flare up from the grease in the grill I think. The hot tub was great and clean! Owner says it’s drained and refilled after each guest’s stay. The laundry in the house was a great perk as well. The house was pretty well equipped when we arrived (kitchen supplies, laundry detergent, toilet paper, trash bags, etc.). The access to the dumpster was nice as well. Take notice of the statement in the listing about 4x4 vehicles in the winter. We didn’t have winter weather during our stay but the roads leading up to the house are steep and I could see how winter weather could really affect the accessibility of the house. Overall, a great house! We will probably check out the owner’s other rentals in the area in the future!

Love this place, love that it's so close to downtown and the places we wanted to visit

Our friend group had a phenomenal weekend together and this property allowed us to make so many fun memories!

Pictures do not do this property justice. You cannot see all the details of this beautiful home in the pictures. This place is amazing! From the jacuzzi outside to the 2 jacuzzi bathtubs on the inside on the rainy days. This place had three floors with plenty of room to spread out for our big group of myself, my husband, kids, grandkids and our two dogs. We cooked the whole time we were there. The kitchen is very nice and well stocked. Everyone's all-time favorite part of the house was downstairs with pool table, foosball table, darts, board games and tv. We spent most of our time downstairs. The firepit was nice and we grilled out steaks one night on the gas grill. It felt like home away from home. The owner was very helpful if we had anyone questions. I would highly recommend this place. We will definitely be going back.
4.8
Great trip and Great place to stay with wonderful views.
4.8
Kastlerock is a nice location on Beech Mountain. The views were amazing. We selected the property because we have a family member is confined to a wheelchair and the listing said it was built with handicap persons in mind. We also had some elderly family with us. The fridge was not working properly while we were there but we made do. Overall it worked for our crowd.
