This was a great place to stay, you have a beautiful lake in front of you, the great North Georgia mountains around you, and wonderful weather. If we would have waited a month the fall colors would be icing on the cake.

The house was spacious, well equipped kitchen. Convenient location to the lake and town. Good views of the lake, especially from the upstairs balcony. The hot tub was clean and a nice addition. We enjoyed the large dining area as well. Liked the fire pit and bbq grill.
The big complaint is that the bed downstairs is all worn out. Very uncomfortable! It offers no support making two people roll to the center and sqeaks terribly when you move just a little. It really needs to be updated. The baseboards and trim could all use a cleaning and paint. Upstairs balcony screen door is torn and the fence needs some repairs as there several places where the post are rotted and not secure. The front gate latch is broken.
If the above issues were addressed then I would give it a 5+ star review.

This cute cottage is in the perfect location to enjoy a vacation in Hiawassee. It is close to the main road yet very quiet. Our favorite walk was to the Hiawassee Fruit and Vegetable Market. The front porch and upstairs balcony were perfect for morning coffee and breakfast, but a little too sunny and warm for dinner (we were there in June). The owner was excellent in communicating check-in instructions and regular "is everything okay with your stay" messages. This part of Georgia is the perfect combination of water activities, beautiful hikes and many small unique towns. It was a fun week!

What a beautiful place! We loved every minute - the lake, the mountains, and the perfect house to enjoy it all. Danielle was a great host and easy to work with. The house was clean, beautifully decorated and had everything you could possibly want or need including kayaks, bicycles, hot tub and a porch off the upstairs bedroom that was the perfect spot to watch the sunset every evening. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing time! Clean, well stocked and Danielle was an outstanding host! Would definitely recommend and stay again! My 3.5yr old son couldn’t get enough of the yard and the direct access to the lake. Our 8 month old puppy loved having the fenced in grassy space to play and soak up the sun. 10 out of 10!

The house has everything for a fun and relaxing stay! We went hiking to area waterfalls, did some shopping, and kayaked all around the lake. The bed was comfortable and the towels were thick and fluffy. A great kitchen for the little bit of cooking we did. Breakfast on the front porch had a beautiful view! Thank you for a very enjoyable time!

This was a great house for a weekend with friends! Kitchen is super well stocked with all necessary (and even more) items you need to cook. We loved having the kayaks and bicycles available. Only one thing that some in our group did not like is that some mattresses are not in great shape/too soft (downstairs bedroom and kids bedroom). Great communication with the host.

The fenced in yard was a complete win. The house is in a small neighbor easy for walks. Simple place to stay. Highly recommend.

Had a fantastic stay at Waterside Cottage. Covered parking spot for the truck, lots of supplied kitchen equipment with coffee pot and k-cup options. Pool table upstairs seconds as an air hockey table - bonus! The water front is so close and the owners supplied plenty of bikes and kayaks to stay entertained.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quaint home. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and had everything we needed. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate so we weren’t able to enjoy the fire pit or hot tub but hope to be able to stay again soon so we can.

For the second year, we had a great time at Waterside Cottage. We had a second couple join the two of us for 2 nights, and there was plenty of room and comfort for everyone. They loved it too. The kitchen is large and well stocked and especially enjoyable. The dining room provided a great Qwirkle table. The balcony and front porch provide delightful fall coffee mornings! We hope to make a return trip next year.

We were thrilled with the property and the host was so wonderful. We are already planning our next getaway there. We love the north Georgia area and this property is in town but you feel miles away from it. With a gorgeous view of the mountains and the lake. The cottage was extremely clean and easily accessible. We cannot wait to go back!

We just loved this property and plan to go back next time we visit this great scenic town. there is so much to do in Hiawasee: hiking, boating, tubing, kayaking, and all things outdoors. We loved the view from this house and the ability to have lake access. We loved that we had access to bikes, kayaks and other "toys" that the owner keeps for guests to use. Nice that it had a hot tub and fire pit though we did not have a chance to use them - until next time! Also, the owner had great communication.

We truly enjoyed the stay at the waterside cottage on lake Chatuge in Hiawassee this last week. The kitchen was well stocked and there were lots of games to play. The pool table converted into ping pong or air hockey which was unexpected! The beds were comfortable and the yard was perfect for the pups to play as we watched the sunset while making s’mores. Thank you for a lovely vacation.

Everything was just as described in the online posting. Lovely, inviting, home. They had everything in the kitchen to help in preparing meals. Host was wonderful. Very responsive. Our pups enjoyed the yard. I would recommend yountake a smal pail or bucket to wash their paws if it rains to keep from transfering indoors.unbeatable view especially from the balcony. Shopping and restaurants close by. Beds comfortable. We highly recommend! Great all the way around!

This is our 5th year doing Spring Break in the N. GA / NC area. We thoroughly enjoy Hiawassee and Danielle’s cottage on the lake. She offers PLENTY of amenities and MANY points of interest are within a 30-45 min drive. The house was incredibly welcoming and comfortable & the kitchen has all you’ll need. It was located in a cute neighborhood which was very quiet. Loved hitting up the local establishments, especially Hiawassee Brew & Hawg Wild BBQ! And the fact that an Ingles was a hop & a skip away was a major plus. We’d definitely return if available.

Excellent house with a fully stocked kitchen. Lots of room! Provided an excellent view with lots of extra amenities. Very clean! Perfect location to Young Harris College where we were visiting our grandson who is a student there. The weather was dreary but the fireplace was welcoming and cozy. February rates were equal to local hotel accommodations. Great value!

My two friends and I booked this great cottage for a long weekend of hiking. The location was perfect for us and we loved the house. We had everything we needed, all we had to do was relax and enjoy. The hot tub was just what we needed after our hikes and enjoyed the fireplace every night. Everything was clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning! The host was great to communicate with. She was very proactive in getting all the information to us and always quick to respond!

We had a great time and this property and it was just what we needed for a cold weekend. Kept warm with a fire and made a great base for exploring the area. Could accommodate a larger group easily.

This was our second stay. The house was just as advertised and had everything one would need to make your holiday away from home just as cozy and comfortable. I very much appreciated the fenced in yard for my furry ones. Pretty little Christmas trees throughout the house were a great holiday touch to make the stay so much more festive. :) Danielle is very prompt in answering any questions you may have about any aspect of your stay. I highly recommend the place!

The house is located close to town....it has a covered carport along with extra space for another vehicle. The entry pad is very convenient...The house is clean, stocked, sunny and the decor is charming. The layout of the home is wonderful....large enough to give visitors their privacy while the dining room and sitting area offer room and a place to come together....as the well as the fenced in front yard with a view of the Lake. We will be returning!

Our family love this cottage! It is tucked so perfectly in the mountains right by the lake. The amenities at the cottage are endless. You can spend your days relaxing with a good book or out on the lake enjoying the water. We have stayed here multiple times and the sunset over the lake is absolutely breathtaking every time we’ve been. The owners are so welcoming and have great communication throughout the booking process and during the stay. We are a family of 5. Our oldest is in college and our youngest is 11. We’ve brought my elderly father in the past as well. There is definitely something for everyone. We can’t wait to return.
