The house was very nice, clean, well stocked, and homey. We enjoyed the lake view, the easy walk to the lake, the fire pit, even the neighbors were nice. The house was close to stores, attractions and even the pickleball courts.

Very clean and comfortable. Great location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view of the lake from the inside of the house was minimal compared to our expectations, but still, a very nice screened in porch. Everything was clean and well organized.
Only needed more toilet paper, paper towel and shower soap and laundry detergent for a one week stay. We would stay again!

We enjoyed our stay! The house was very clean and comfortable. Super convenient to downtown Hiawassee. Limited view from the back porch. We didn’t use the large side yard with fire pit as there is no seating. It would be nice for dogs and kids. I would defiantly rent this house again!

Spring, Summer, and Fall, we love to return to this Waterside Home in Hiawassee. This VRBO is 5 star clean and comfortable, right in the heart of town. The View of Mountains and Lake Chatuge affords relaxation and beauty. The Hosts go out of their way to make us feel welcomed!

This house has plenty of space and we felt secure with other houses/people around us!! Owners were a phone text/call away which was super nice!!! Would definitely stay here AGAIN 😊

We’ve been coming to Hiawassee to visit our grandchildren for several years and have stayed in many different types of cabins and homes. But never like the home of Kevin and Evelyn. It was perfect! Beautifully furnished, and well kept. It was so much larger than the pictures show, a great yard with a phenomenal view of the lake and so privately situated.
The housekeeping was immaculate and stocked with all of the essentials. The AC and heating system was great and so efficient which could really ruin your vacation quick! I have to say, we have finally found our home away from home. Thank You so much for the love and care you have put in to you lovely home. It truly shows and blessed us with the best stay ever…
With much Respect and Appreciation.

This was the perfect Thanksgiving vacation spot for our family! It was a beautiful home close to Lake Chatuge & close to stores, restaurants & -finally-a home as advertised! I’m disabled & this home is on1level with a gorgeous handicap accessible huge shower! Elegantly furnished with very comfortable rooms/beds. The kitchen is gorgeous & had everything we needed to cook the Thanksgiving fixings we got at Ingles! The huge lake is beautiful and the Ga, Tn, Nc mountains are close by! Owners are very responsive! We are already planning our next visit on spring break! Thank you, Kevin & Evelyn for sharing your vacation home!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was conveniently located to downtown Hiawassee and very close to the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. We stayed here specifically to go to the Fall Festival at the fairgrounds. The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed walking down by the water. The house was clean and comfortable. We would stay here again and recommend it to others to stay there.

Overall a good stay. Main negative was there were a lot of flies in the house when we arrived. Not sure if the cleaning crew left a door open but we spent the first hour killing flies. And, no fly swatter.....

As advertised, great location close to everything in quiet neighborhood. Kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of seating in living room. Beds were comfortable. Only negative-no cleaning supplies, which was relevant for long stays like ours. Would definitely return and recommend.

We love the house and the location. 1 block from the lake. 5 minutes to the boat ramp. The owners are really nice and accommodating. We where able to check in early. The bedroom/bed is comfortable and roomy. My only gripe is, they need to upgrade there sofa’s , they are old and tend to slip when you sit. We had bad back pain, but we stayed in the house for over a month. Overall the neighborhood and location is great. This was our second year staying there. Would love to see new sofa’s if I am to return next year

We arrived and my wife felt at home as soon as we entered the house. We have stayed at several places local to this one and this is by far her favorite spot. We plan on returning in the future for a longer stay.

The house was very nice with a beautiful view of the lake, and we really liked having lake access. The only problem we had was a lot of little black ants. We couldn’t keep anything on the counters in the kitchen. Or even the dog food in a bowl on the floor. We did spray a few times and it helped a little bit. We also had the wait to get in because the cleaning people were still in there till about 730. We always enjoy our time on vacation no matter what. And it was a great location and it’s a beautiful area in the north Georgia mountains to visit. Thanks, Brian.

Great location, super clean, spacious and cozy. Having coffee on the screened in porch, watching the clouds move over the mountains is a great way to greet the morning.

Really enjoyed our stay. House was perfect and plenty of room. Master bed and bath were awesome. My mom forgot her phone...owners mailed it the same day. Can't thank them enough.

This house was perfect for our stay. A beautiful home with all the conveniences we expected. And, it was very convenient and close to all our activities for the weekend.

Great location, well equipped with all the necessities. Could have used a couple more baking pans (cake pan, 8x8 pan). The master bed was great ( we did not have guest during the week). Hurricane Ian hit Ft. Myers, FL while we were there so friends were busy cleaning up their homes, etc. we woul most definitely return to this location again.

This was a great little place to rent. It was near the lake and had some views. The cypress trees need to be topped so that folks sitting on the beautiful screened in deck can see the lake.
The inside was clean and beautiful and has all the amenities of home. Look foward to staying again next September.

1st Timers
This was the first time that we have rented a place from any of rentals like this. It was fairly clean, floors, counter tops, bathrooms, furniture. There were some small ants in the one corner in the kitchen on the counter. And ants around the back garage door, where the wood is breaking down. Once we sprayed, did not see any more. The A/C filters. The main one looked like it was not changed in a few months. The 2nd one in the master bedroom was gross. I went and put gloves on just to grab and remove it. Also cleaned the backs and underneath the Lani chairs. Some small spider webs etc. There were stairs at each end of the Lani. 1 of them had large weeds or a small tree growing up between the steps. A tripping hazard for sure. The yard was well maintained other than the weeds in the back and under the Lani. Did not like the TV channel selection, NO local channels from Atlanta. So no weather forecast, no nightly programs the we would normally watch. All 4 TV's were for streaming only. That stunk. We did not how to do that. We did have one slight problem when the front door would not lock. ( battery operated) Called the property manager, it took awhile for them to get back to us. And we were able to get a key to lock the door. Conclusion 4 out of 5.

A Perfect Weekend
My husband and I decided on short notice to spend a long anniversary weekend in one of our favorite spots in north GA . We were fortunate to find this house in Hiawassee. The house is in a neighborhood just a couple of blocks from Main Street, so it was very peaceful and quiet. The house was squeaky clean, and although it is more mature property, there are some very nice upgrades in the house. Although we didn't need it, there is a ramp to the front door, everything is on one level, and the showers are handicap accessible, so it is a perfect location for anyone with mobility issues. The kitchen is nicely stocked and the living area has very comfortable sofas and a recliner where my husband spent every evening! The master bedroom is spacious, as is the on-suite bathroom, and the king bed is so very comfortable. We did spend time on the large screened porch, but it does face west so there is some late afternoon sun. The roller shades help block the sun while enjoying an early evening cocktail, and we enjoyed relaxing out there. Kevin was a pleasure to work with and we hope to return soon.
