My family of 6 had a wonderful stay at this quaint little cabin style house! We enjoyed fishing and swimming off the dock. The Trident Marina is only a few minutes away for a quick bite to eat.
The house was clean minus a few cob webs here and there and the sheets/towels were clean. However when we went to strip the sheets off the twin mattress the mattress cover looked like it had several stains on it. Overall we had an amazing time!

Adorable cabin at the end of the lane. Excellent amenities, front porch was where we spent most of or time. Sweet little getaway for a couple or small family in excellent condition. However, it is small; one bedroom doubles as the television room. There are no laundry facilities, and no place to really "unpack." The only dining area is on the porch. Also, bring your own toilet paper. HOWEVER - the shower is surprisingly great! Four of us all got hot showers, and the pressure is better than we've had in some nice hotels. The dock was a wonderful surprise. Our boat is small but didn't get battered around by the waves from bigger boat traffic. The Lily pad was a blast! WiFi was adequate for most needs, but I used my hotspot most of the time. AT&T data was fine for me, but my verizon phone was "iffy." The cookware was better than we expected, we were able to fry eggs without them sticking. Beds and sheets were wonderful! the other couple with us said the daybeds were really comfortable. Queen bed slept great! Overall, a great stay, we really enjoyed ourselves.

Nice and cozy. Was not particularly clean. Several burned out light bulbs. Great towels!

Just fyi: the traffic on the water yesterday and the old rope attaching the wooden sunbathing deck caused it to come loose from the boat dock. We tried to tie it up the best we could and secured it but the owner may want to look into some new rope.

Dirty Sheets
This is a beautiful property with lots of potential. However, we were so disappointed with the cleanliness of it. The sheets were dirty and by dirty I mean stained and had sand on them. Both on the main bed and on the bed/sitting area. The sitting area bedding was much worse though. It had hairs, sand, and smudges all over the blue top blankets plus sand in the sheets. All the pillows, on all beds, smelled like body odor. I really don’t think they wash the pillow cases between guests. They do supply towels, but they all smell like they sat in the washer for 3 days prior to being dried. So stinky! Like sour milk. We didn’t use the towels. I am so happy I brought my own. I just wish I had brought my own bedding. We booked this place for two nights but only stayed one night. I couldn’t sleep in the bed another night. So frustrating as this is an expensive property to rent. Also, the grill was full of ashes and the grate was not cleaned. Gross!

Cute rustic cabin for couples getaway
This was our favorite of all the places we've been. Loved the cabin. It is small but very well organized. The lake views were amazing. Very private. Only 15-20 min to the local restaurant and to town, where there is a dollar general and grocery store.
We had no complaints and wished we could have stayed longer.

Cozy Cabin
This was a cozy cabin with everything we needed. The weather wasn’t great, but the large back deck, TV, and games allowed us to enjoy some much needed down time despite the rain. The boat dock, paddle board, Lilly pad, and floating dock were great when the weather cooperated. Plenty of space for exploring. At first, we had a little trouble finding the cabin and identifying the parking areas mentioned. We wished there was an open boat launch closer, and we never found the trash receptacle mentioned, so we took our trash home with us, which wasn’t ideal. Also, the front porch light was out, but we were able to find some bulbs and get it lit so we could grill. The bathroom/front door layout was less than ideal, but we adjusted. This was a great cabin for frill-free down time. We love Smith Lake!

Adorable peaceful getaway, spectacular view
This small cabin was quaint but perfect for our small family of four. One bedroom plus a living room with two futons for the kids. I loved the view of the lake from every spot of the house, the deck was perfect. The shine of the sun and the moon on the lake was just gorgeous.. I found it to be adorable, a perfect view from the fire pit and we were thrilled that our pups could join us. They swam all day. A few Cons that weren’t really cons. The town is rather nonexistent. Any stores are 30 min away. Also There is No WiFi. We had barely one bar of a phone signal, so though it’s nice to be off the grid, in this day and age it would be most helpful to stay connected with WiFi. Our hot spot didn’t get much signal. I’d recommend the owners invest in an internet signal. If you want to be cut off from work, then all is great here, but I wished it was more a little more clear that there was no WiFi access here. It was also a little dark on the deck, we bought some candles and lamps while we were out but it was hard to play board games at night outside over the lake. There’s a food store and the town of Cullman a good 30 min away, but we ran out of TP the first night (we were warned to BYO) and there was a morning power outage the next morning so no coffee, again first world problems, but we had to make a bit of a trip into town for necessary supplies. Again very minor issues, in the grand scheme, we loved it, but we wished it was slightly less BYO home amenities. My wife brought a hammock which we hung from two trees over the lake view that the kids couldn’t leave, and I brought a kayak. There was a nice paddle board provided by the house and our kids loved the giant lake lily pad. Loved that thank you!! So back to the positive, again, we had plenty of room, plenty of relaxation, an absolutely gorgeous view, and tons of fun on the lake. If work being unable to reach me while I’m l on a weekend vacation so be it. The view from all corners was Perfect. Especially if it’s only two of you (we had two kids using the living room as a bedroom), it was a beauty of a spot for a weekend retreat and only 2 hours for us from nashville. Thanks again for having us. And thanks again for being dog friendly. That was a huge plus. We had a wonderful time.

Great little cabin
Found out the day before the flooding at Smith lake was at record levels and we may not be able to use the dock at the cabin. Only because part of the walkways were under water.
We decided to go anyway due to some other business I had to take care of and glad we did.
Was a little tricky in and out of parking at cabin because I have a very large boat and all the rain. Wouldnt have been any issue if we were able to use the boat slip. Not owners fault.
Owners offered money back without me having to request it if we decided. It to come because of the flooding. Will likely stay again until we close on our own land close by!

Christmas 2020 - cabin
Loved the cabin and the lake view was just beautiful. We got in late and it was a little scary coming down the drive but it worked out fine. The cabin was super cute and had everything we needed. I highly recommend staying there. Merry Christmas!

Had a ball!
Spent the weekend here and loved it. Great place for fishing (my son caught a big catfish right off the dock one night), boating, jetsking (we brought ours and there is lots of big unoccupied water around), swiming (almost a private cove), or just generally chillaxin! We're going back this summer!

AMAZING WEEKEND!!!
We had such an amazing weekend at this cabin! I will for sure be renting it again. It is secluded but yet not far from home! It has its own private pier and I actually caught a large mouth bass fishing off the pier. It is clean and so cozy. What a romantic wonderful amazing weekend we had! Thank you for having such a beautiful peaceful cabin I would recommend it to anyone
