'Pepper Tree' is situated on a farm in the beautiful Granite Belt region in Southern Queensland.

This tastefully renovated old farmhouse is an ideal base from which to explore the local wineries, national parks, restaurants, antiques & shops specialising in handmade soaps, chocolates, berries, local cheeses & coffee

'Pepper Tree' is situated on a farm only 5 mins from the renowned Girraween [meaning place of flowers] National Park.

This beautiful national park is well known for it's walking tracks, wildflowers, rock climbing, granite outcrops & water courses.

Girraween is one of the most popular national parks in Queensland.

We are also next door to the award winning Pyramids Road Winery.
And 5mins drive to the popular winery & pizzeria Balancing Heart Winery!
And a little bit further on to the delightful Bald Mountain Winery!

There are 3 separate living areas,
> featuring flat screen TV

The country style kitchen is
> fully equipped for cooking
> a large dining table & chairs with table mats & napkins,

There are 2 Queen bedrooms [1 with A/C & 1 with ceiling fan]
1 twin & 1 single room both with ceiling fans
All bedrooms have

> both queen bedrooms and the twin bedroom have space to access beds in a wheelchair*

Pepper Tree remains as our favorite holiday destination to enjoy escape the busyness of life and unwind in a magnificent location. The sounds of the bush, the clear starry night sky and a outdoor fire pit, all provide for a world away from all the cares of the world. Our group had a lovely stay in this well equipped, comfortable and warm house. The location is quiet and beautifully located, backing onto the Girraween National park. The views from the front verandah across the region to the distant mountains were particularly spectacular. A great spot for a morning cuppa or an afternoon snifter of your favourite tipple. We loved it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Peppertree Cottage. The house was well appointed, comfortable and very clean. We took our dog and he loved the large well fenced yard. Thank you for sharing with wonderful piece of paradise, the sunset views over the dam were a special treat.

Pepper Tree is an absolute gem and we had a wonderful time again. This lovely cottage close to Girraween National Park comes with all the modern amenities like reverse cycle heating and satellite TV. The firepit continues to the highlight for us with lots of toasted marshmallows. Thank you Mary for sharing your wonderful home with us

Beautiful property with a great fully fenced yard. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with a beautiful -2c morning on the 10th of June. I would recommend one thing, salt, pepper and olive oil be kept in the kitchen.

This was a lovely place to stay. The house itself was spacious and well equiped. We were particularly impressed withe disability friendly bathroom, ramp into the house and spacious hall ways. Highly recommend in this regard. Mary was lovely to deal with.

We stayed for 3 nights with friends and family over Easter. We loved the location, the wildlife, the firepit and the we'll set up kitchen. The TV was new since the last time we stayed and was enjoyed by the kids. Some of the furniture is older and in need of an upgrade but overall very comfortable with lots of spaces to relax or hang out for games, drinks or a chat. The sunsets over the dam are also gorgeous. We love it here and will be back again. Thanks for having us back!

We had an enjoyable stay at Pepper Tree house. Enjoyed a fire on Christmas Eve and Christmas lunch on the veranda. Nice having A/C in all of the bedrooms. Have a tranquil and relaxing stay with family.

We stayed at Mary's property for a long weekend and it was warm, and well equipped with everything you might need. Plenty of firewood and heated floor in the bathroom was an added perk! Navigating the driveway in a low car in the dark was difficult but manageable. Internet reception was poor, although we didn't mind. Would stay again as it was great for a large group!

We were looking for somewhere to stay with our dog where he had space to run around without getting into trouble. Peppertree did not disappoint. Large fenced yard, beautifully maintained house, fireplace, heating, outdoor fire pit, all the amenities you need for a relaxing couple of days in wine country. The view of sunset from the deck is magical! Property manager met us on arrival and explained everything, so easy and very helpful. We can’t wait to return for another visit. 5 stars!

This was our second stay and the property was exactly how we remembered it. The property was spotless and Had everything we needed. We enjoyed wine tasting at Pyramid Wines and dinner at Balancing Heart Winery, all only a 5 minute drive from the property. The property is private and secluded but not to far from Giraween National Park and some amazing wineries.

4 adults and 3 kids had a wonderful time at the cottage. Plenty of space inside and out. Fire pit was fantastic in the evenings especially when it was -3! Everyone loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom. Fanstastic location and Will definitely be back.

Our yearly winter trip to Pepper Tree is something our family looks forwards to each year. The dogs were very happy running around in the large enclosed property and we always enjoy too many toasted marshmallows at the firepit. Thank you Mary for your warm welcome. We had a lovely stay at this charming property. The location was fantastic for Giraween National Park and some great wineries and the children loved roaming and playing in the large yard. The outside and inside fires were a nice treat.

This property has everything you need and more. The piano was a winner with my children. After daily hiking, they spent many hours in the living room with the fire on and play and sing. The outdoor fire pit set up was ver enjoyable as well. We would start the fire pit going from 4, sit in serenity and watch the Sun set over the pond. We had a great time. Thanks Pepper Tree.

Very nice comfortable house with a lovely view. The dog loved running around the fenced yard. Didn't expect the other 2 bedrooms to be blocked off as sometimes if my husband snores I like to sleep in another room. But I am sure Mary would have unlocked another one if we'd asked. Our fav part of the stay was breakfast and dinner on the porch watching enjoying the views. The sky at night is breathtaking when all lights are turned off.. A few mins away is a great little winery that does live music and dinner. Great getaway.

A delightful place to stay to "get away from it all"! Spectacular view from the verandah, comfortable and spacious, spotlessly clean. We came to Stanthorpe to visit the wineries as a group of 3 couples.There were many wineries close by our accommodation around Ballandean. The house itself was clean, spacious and charming. The Queen beds and single beds were very comfortable and the linen/towels provided were also good quality. The fireplace was a special treat for the cooler nights. The extra toilet was also handy with a larger group. A very pleasant and relaxing stay in the country but not far from Stanthorpe and all other attractions.
