Wonderful stay. Responsive host.

Beautiful, rustic lodge - type property. This is the place to go to get away from it all. The Mountain views are incredible, as well as star gazing at night. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms for our family of five including 3 teenagers. Plenty of space for all. The Pizza Factory and Sequoia Coffee Co. are must- do places to go, and driving up to Sequoia National Park is wonderful as you’re already inside the gate. My only recommendation would be to fix the big pit hike in the driveway just before pulling up to the house.

Perfect spot in the park, air doesn’t work great so come when cooler but amazing place

Upon check in the cleaning service was still there. The house thermostat read 98 degrees! After the cleaning service left I found a dirty coffee maker, a dishwasher full of dishes and the kitchen floor not swept. Four hours later when I wanted to just sleep after a day of travel the house only cooled down to 91 degrees! I was unable to sleep under such circumstances. I was there for my daughters wedding and on the wedding day when we had to take showers there was no running water!!!! We had to shower at my daughters place. I was there for only three days and could not wait to leave! It was such a disappointment! There was no greeting, no instructions left. The hospitality on the owners part was terrible since it was nonexistent. Save yourself the money, frustration and disappointment and look for a different house.

Perfect place to end the day after exploring the beautiful sequoia national park.
Clean, well equipt, beautiful view from the great window.

We just finished a really peaceful, relaxing week at Sequoia National Park. The house was a good base located just inside the park. The weather being unseasonably hot made the house a little warm in the afternoon thanks to the huge windows, but it was much more comfortable after the sun went down. It’s not a luxury property, but if you want a convenient location with lots of character, this is a great place.

We found these accommodations to be just what we were looking for while staying in Sequoia. The kitchen and living area were modern and spacious with beautiful views. There was plenty of privacy. The host was friendly and easy to contact. Being inside the park was a plus as we stayed for a week and did not have to re-enter each day. It was convenient to a Visitor Center, hiking trails, points of interest, and also shopping in Three Rivers. So happy we found this place for our visit to another national park.

Very spacious with plenty of rooms for our 4. Recommend trying to arrive during daylight hours as the drive is very steep and a little tricky to see in the dark.

I stayed with my family and friends and it was a blast. The house is inside the park and great views.
The house is pretty open in terms of layout. So great for spending time with family.

This spacious lodge was a pleasure. The sunrises are spectacular memories I will cherish for a lifetime.

Our cabin was beautiful. The location is incredible. The views breathtaking! There are however a few things that need attention at the cabin. Hot water was inconsistent. That was a bit challenging. The kitchen could use a good cleaning and updating of the appliances and such. It’s an older cabin with some old charm but there’s definitely a need for some overall cleaning and upkeep. I know it’s a full time rental and it probably gets a lot of west and tear but I think upkeep is quite important.

A very nice home. Gorgeous view from a very spacious living room and kitchen.
Conveniently located.
Perfect for larger groups.

First, the house is nice but the parking area is narrow and small, it would be hard for a big van to maneuver, its better to drive a mini suv or sedan. Second, utensils is not complete such as pans, spatulas, ladles. Bring a rice cooker if you eat rice. Third, I slept in one of the rooms that needs an upgrade for the mattress. I suggest, attic floor should have a wall to wall carpet just to minimize the sound of the footsteps. Lastly, roads from where we stayed, which is the Three rivers, is under construction en route to the main attractions. We were asked to drive 2 hours to the other side of the National Park which is the Kings Canyon for us to see all the main attractions. Overall, it was a very tiring trip but had a pleasant stay.

Great house for our group of 5. As shown in the listing the upstairs has minimal privacy, but perfect for the kids - especially with the fire pole. The house is spacious, especially the kitchen. We were able to prepare a full Thanksgiving dinner without issue. But could have used a little more silverware.
A new front patio had just been poured prior to our arrival which was slightly inconvenient, but I was able to easily communicate with the owner to resolve any issues. In general there are several things that should be fixed - the microwave filter cover was missing, the sliding door in the kitchen is nearly impossible to open, there was caution tape on the front deck railing, etc.
But overall we loved the house. The views are amazing. The house is architecturally interesting. And the location is great. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone who loves nature and doesn't require perfection.

This is a great location if you want to explore Sequoia NP. It’s actually just inside the park. The house was clean and well stocked. The only thing it was lacking was laundry soap, but there was a store close enough by to go grab some. We had four kids and they were all able to sleep in their own bed. There were two queen beds in the upstairs loft, along with two twin roll away beds. And two bedrooms with queen beds downstairs. I really appreciated that there were fans in each room. You could tell it was an older home, but it was cozy and met our needs.

Scenic Sequoia Shelter
As noted in other reviews, this rental cannot be beaten for views. We enjoyed much time sitting on the deck after a day of hiking in the park watching weather patterns, Moro Rock, and the very regular coming and going of a diverse group of helicopters which were facilitating work on power lines, controlled burns, and other work in the park. It was convenient that the rental is actually inside park boundaries so there was no wait to get going on the hour long ride into the park each morning. The small surrounding neighborhood is quiet, and when needed it was easy to drive a bit south to Three Rivers for a great sandwich shop and good coffee.
Others have also noted poor deck condition and this is one of the things that could turn this 4 star into a 5 star facility.
Many screws were sticking up as hazards, and the entire deck and supports really need full replacements. An older barbecue unit needs to be removed and there is a small smattering of old trash and boards scattered around the exterior of the home.
The interior is spacious, comfortable and roomy in the common areas though the bedrooms and bathrooms are small. Beds were adequate and really up to 10 people could sleep comfortably. Climate control was good.
In several areas there were old towel brackets still hanging, unused mounting materials, and messy hodgepodge in a living room table drawer. We found previous occupants toys under the couch.
Though basic cleaning was adequate, there were surfaces that clearly needed a good deep cleaning as well.
Despite these little things we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and a really good deep clean inside and out, new deck, and a go around to remove old unused hardware would absolutely transform this into a five star property.

Ideal Location with Amazing Views
Overall an amazing vacation home in the midst of breathtaking vistas as of Sequoia National Park. Location inside the park was perfect. This place is spacious and open with vaulted roof lines and ceilings. Kitchen was clean and well equipped and opened to a very comfortable living space. Ideal for families. Grandkids loved their own space in the large open loft area and loved sliding down the fire pole to the main living area.. The house had a few rough edges like a sticky sliding door to the deck and the deck itself could use little sprucing up, but the comfort and view from this huge wrap around deck made it one of our favorite spots. We all agreed that we would definitely like to return.

Loved this property! We stayed here at the beginning of March 2022 for two days. It was the highlight of our stay in Three Rivers. You could not ask for a better location if you’re going to visit the General Sherman tree, as it is located inside Sequoia National park. Very quiet and the views from the deck were great. Would love to stay here again and absolutely highly recommend!

It’s a big house that needs a lot of maintenance specially outside. The wood of the balconies are falling apart.
Bad property management company, they don’t fix things because they said is far and nobody want to do it.

Convenient and fun
Had the pleasure of staying here in June 2021. Large house, easily accommodated 4 adults and 2 children. Air conditioning kept the 2 queen size bedrooms downstairs with shared jack n Jill bathroom nice and cool all day long. The loft area also has 2 queen beds plus a twin and a bathroom. It is hotter up here but if you keep the fans on it does cool down by night time. Large kitchen with everything you could possibly use in drawers and cubbies. Another large bathroom by laundry room. Living room with satellite tv. Already recommended to friends and family. Would stay again.

Quick getaway to Sequoia
Great place. I have already recommended to others. Lots of space and great layout. Very very clean.

Great stay
Lovely few days in the park. This house felt very remote - IN the park just near the entrance - even though there are a few other houses surrounding, we barely saw other people or cars.
The firemans pole was a huge hit with the kids!
Easy, clean and convenient and a much needed escape from the city.

Our base at Sequoia National Park
The location was wonderful, just within the park. The size was great for our family of five. It could easily hold more comfortably. The beds were all comfortable as was the rest of the furniture. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, etc. Three full bathrooms were great. The only shower heads could use updating, but we all were able to get clean. We all agreed that we would rent this house again.

Sequoia rental
The rental house was very unique and had some interesting architectural features. It was inside the gate which was good so you do not have to line up at the gate to buy tickets however it was still an hour from the major sites in Sequoia national.

Great Stay inside Sequoia Park gates
The property was a great location...it was nice to be inside the park and not have to wait in the several car long line to enter the park each day. There was plenty of room and beds and the a/c was great to have in the summer! There were rodent traps both inside and out, but it is the wilderness; so you need to adapt and adjust expectations, knowing there are rodents and wildlife around.

Beautiful setting
My sister and I stayed at Three Rivers over the weekend and had an amazing time. The views from the property are breathtaking and the house itself has a very cheerful vibe. The property manager was great and answered our questions within minutes. Overall it was an easy and peaceful experience!

Absolutely lovely home--perfectly appointed!
This house was my favorite all time VRBO rental. It was perfectly appointed. We had everything we could possibly need and the views were lovely. Super clean, very comfortable.
The only drawback is it's a rather long drive to the center of the park--but that also ensures more temperate weather and a quiet stay.

Great views Good Proximity
This home can accommodate a larger group, but we were two mature couples. The home offers ample privacy. It’s close to town and the wonderful Gateway restaurant, yet inside Sequoia National. It’s also located only an hour to many fun popular hikes like Moro Rock but we preferred to stay further along our planned itinerary so we left a day early because we tired of the winding drive.

Beautiful property to unwind
The house was spotless, well stocked, had a brand new BBQ and very comfortable. Location was awesome with beautiful views

lovely position- few issues
Up-side position is lovely and is a beautifully designed building.
Downside - BBQ was long past its use by date which was disappointing as we brought food with us to BBQ.

Great house!
So much space - modern and clean kitchen and well stocked. If you improve something next the water pressure and the plumbing fixtures in the bathroom could be updated. Also the driveway was a little tight for big cars. Maybe a little wider and a mirror to see more when you back up.

Super place to stay in Sequoia!
Great location; house is very well equipped - kitchen had everything we needed. Rooms were comfy - plenty of space for 8 of us. The architecture is really cool too. We would definitely stay here again. Christine was super responsive to questions too. Thanks!

Lovely home with beautiful views! We appreciated the thoughtful extras provided.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. Very convenient to the giant forest and General Sherman. Wonderful deck for relaxing while taking in the beautiful views of the mountains.

I really loved staying in there.
It is very well maintained, and clean. They have everything in the house even shampoo and conditioner. And lots of board games to play, fire places for s'more, and christmas tree to place presents for our kids. 3 families were staying and very spacious and enough beds. highly recommended!!

Lovely, spacious location near Sequoia National Park.
We loved this quiet, spacious home. I wouldn't recommend it for small children, only because of the fire pole opening in the loft and sharp incline of stairs.
