About this house rental

Rivers Edge Retreat is a private oasis located on the Withlacoochie river in citrus county florida. Great location to enjoy all the nature coast has to offer. Short distance to Ocala, Inverness, Homosassa Springs, Crystal River, and Dunnellon. Come and experience swimming with the manatees, tubing down the Rainbow River, scalloping in Homosassa and Crystal River, fishing on the withlacoochie and lake rousa., biking hiking, kayaking on the rivers, horseback riding, and Golfing. So much to do or just do nothing at all but enjoy and relax. My home offers you the perfect place to enjoy the privacy, sitting on the dock or in the screen room enjoying all of nature. You can bring your own boat and tie up to the dock or enjoy the use of two single kayaks one double kayak paddle boat or canoe available for free. I also provide two adult bikes and two childrens bikes for your enjoyment. At night you can sit around the fire pit and listen to nature sing. Grill your catch of the day on the provided gas grill and eat on the deck under the stars. The backyard is completely fenced and has two beautiful old oaks with huge staghorn ferns offering you plenty of shade. If you want some family fun try your skill at corn hole. There are many bird feeders so you can enjoy watching many varieties of birds as they come and go. If you choose to take day trips we are located close to Orlando with all of it's attractions and Tampa which is home to Bush Gardens. If you love to eat out our area offers some of the finest seafood in Florida. We have numerous festivals throughout the year celebrating our pioneer and Indian history and seafood festivals allowing you to taste all the local foods. I love this area of Florida for it's beauty and laid back lifestyle. So come and enjoy, relax, unwind, in what Florida once looked like.

The neighborhood was fantastic full of friendly people. The house was clean, in a perfect location. The deck was great, the screen house we used a lot. We used the kayaks. We brought paddleboards and were so happy that we could just put in and go up and down river. The decor in the house was the best ever! Perfection, really.

This was the perfect getaway we needed. Had a chance to go to a beach and had tons of time kayaking on the river. My husband and daughter enjoyed fishing off the deck each evening. Very quiet neighborhood and close to a lot of local shops and places to eat. Definitely recommend for future stays. Donna was also great and easy to reach. Thanks again!

This is the second time we have stayed there. We will definitely be back. This is a quaint, cozy spot on the Withlacoochee river. Great fishing. The canoe, paddleboat and kayak are a bonus. The house is clean and the master bed is very comfortable. House is well stocked with anything you might need. Donna is a great host.

It was one of our best vacations! We wanted to be as close as nature as possible, and we got it! We loved the house and everything it offered! We had so much fun, we will definitely do it again!! We went Kayaking, took a boat tour, and saw a few manatees! We also did the boat tour at Silver Springs State Park! And off course swing at the spring!

Comfortable house on the river. Nice outside area for relaxing. Convenient to town and stores. We enjoyed walking at Blue Run Park of Dunnellon. Very close to Rainbow Springs State Park.

We enjoyed the home and our pets did, as well. Open, roomy for the 2 of us. Bed comfortable, kitchen fairly well set up. We needed both heat and air in the 3 weeks we were there and all worked well. Due to the cool weather, we weren’t able to take advantage of the kayaks and bikes but all were available as advertised.

We had a wonderful stay @ this "River Retreat"! Weather was a little chilly but we managed to keep ourselves occupied for the week. Hiking & Biking on the local trails was convenient and enjoyable. On our last day it finally warmed up enough to use the provided Kayaks.

We love to kayak, bike, fish and hike so this was the perfect place for us. Kayak the beautiful Withlacoochee from your backyard, take the dog over to Johnson’s Pond for a nice walk, hit the Withlacoochee State Trail for awesome biking, wet a line from your dock, or just chill in the private and peaceful backyard. We will definitely be back soon.

We like this house very much. It is comfortable, well decorated & well maintained. This was our second stay. It is in a quiet neighborhood close to Dunellon & the parks. We especially love that the house includes the use of kayaks and canoes. We love to be able to get on the water everyday.

This is the perfect vacation house for a nice getaway! The house is located in a cute quiet neighborhood and it is right on the water which opens up to the big beautiful Withlacoochie river. The house is extremely cozy and nicely decorated with an amazing backyard for lots of fun with the family. The bathrooms are both good sizes along with the bedrooms. The house is close to great restaurants, bars and local shopping centers so everything is convenient. You are just a few miles from amazing springs and national parks. This is a great house for a great price! Donna was a great host and was extremely fast at communicating with me when I needed her help. This place definitely gets a 10 out of 10! My ftans I will be back next summer for sure!

The Rivers Edge Retreat was spacious, clean, private, and only 10 minutes to downtown Dunnellon. Kitchen was well equipped. Donna responded quickly to any questions we had. We enjoyed the backyard, being near the river and watching the wildlife! We really liked the easy access to nearby activities. Would like to rent again in the future.

Everything was exactly like in a description and better. The house was clean and beautiful. Out side just perfect..just river front..we enjoy the cayak down the river.and swimming just front the house dock..but the best thing it's the screen room. Omg I love this place so I wan to thank the Oster Donna very nice person..I will comeback for sure .

We had a wonderful vacation at this river home. We enjoyed a lot of time on the river kayaking and fishing! We made the short drive to Rainbow Springs and enjoyed the tubing adventure - a must do! We also made the short drives to surrounding towns to see some of the historic Florida. The house itself was very nice and clean. We enjoyed the screened enclosure and deck a ton! Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to enjoy the fire pit but it looked very nice. A great place to create some memories.

Our stay was wonderful & our dogs loved the big backyard & all the sounds of nature. We had a Sandhill crane walk through the front yard & later saw a flock of them down the street on a walk. The dogs were a little shocked at the big birds, lol & the jurassic park sound they make, lol. Loved the screen house & just chilling after a busy day kayaking, hiking & beaching. Definitely will be back!

Great place to kick back, relax and enjoy listening to the birds. The gazebo was a favorite for my husband in the evening. Dogs enjoyed the back yard and we met several neighbors who were very friendly. Thw canal was fun to kayak as well. Being so close to all sorts of outdoor activity was a major plus.
