This cottage is more like a home, with a combination of modern and traditional furnishings, graced by some lovely antique art pieces. It is very spacious, clean and comfortable, with ample room for children to play, both inside and outside. The entry to the water is ideal for small children and those who are less experienced swimmers, and there is also a ladder at the end of the dock for access to deeper water. The sunsets were outstanding. The host was very helpful, prompt in communication, and eager to accommodate your needs in order to provide the best personalized vacation possible. We definitely plan to return.

Amazing location, very scenic and tranquil. Definitely would recommend this home for a fun family getaway to enjoy priceless memories. Close to city; but miles away from the hustle and bustle.

We’ve booked this location every winter. The house is in the perfect location for ice fishing. The house is clean with a ton of room and a great room. Fits 6-10 guest without being crammed. The kitchen and living room are huge. The owner is super nice and great to work with. We highly recommend checking this vacation spot out. We have every intention of coming back every year.

We had a great time at this Duclos Point cottage. We spent a lot of time at the fully-stocked home, and had a great time watching the sunsets in the evening. Unfortunately, it seemed to be mayfly season so that part was no fun, but didn’t stop us from spending time outside. Lots of room for the kids to hang out and play. Thank you for having us!

Thank you for the use of your canoe.... it was perfect once we washed all the spiders away!!!
The family of ducks were lovely.... the crazy geese even made us feel at home!

Lovely location. Quiet. Enjoyed the sunsets. The spacious cottage gave all of us (6 adults) comfortable space and our 20-somethings really enjoyed the large living room for board games and the big park for frisbee.

This was a great rental experience. The house is very accommodating and set up very nicely. The owner was wonderful to talk with, met us to get us settled in and was just great. We had no problems whatsoever, had everything we needed, and enjoyed the views from the large windows overlooking the lake. Thank you for a great stay Joni, we look forward to coming back next year.

I had a great time with friends and family. No problem sleeping 8 guys in this cabin. I was amazed on how clean and spacious the cabin is. Joni was very welcoming and helped make our stay great. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need to prepare any meal. I was Impressed with the low rental cost for the size of the cabin. Once again this is located in a perfect spot on lake simcoe with a quiet and secure neighborhood. There is great access on and off the lake with plenty of parking in front of the cabin. I am so thankful we were able to spend time here and will definitely be back again next year. Thanks again for making our trip a 10 Joni! Can’t wait to see you next year!

I had 3 friends up for 3 days. We played cards in front of the big window overlooking the lake for hours. Just lovely. Would definitely rent again. A pleasure meeting your mother Joni.

This is our second visit, and we enjoyed it as much if not more than the first time.
We were able to enjoy the beautiful open fireplace, which we sat around in the late afternoon and evening.
In the morning we sat looking out over the water and actually saw two swans with their mates, it was fantastic.
The cottage is more a home, and equipped with everything needed for a gourmet meal.
We will definately do this again next year.
Joni replies very quickly in order to arrange your getaway.
Anyone, can rent this property with confidence.

The host:
Joni was a fabulous host. She ensured that all our needs were met before she handed over the keys. Her information guide helped us find sights in the surrounding neighborhood. She was always a phone call away.
The cottage:
The entire cottage was clean. The living room was large and spacious featuring a fireplace and enough seating that would fit 12 people or more. There was a decently sized tv with a chromecast connected for movie nights. Our group made full use of the provided bluetooth capable speakers. The size of all four bedrooms was adequate, with fresh linen and towels provided. The master had a king size bed as well as a lovely view of Lake Simcoe. The kitchen was large with ample room for preparation. Joni had equipped the kitchen with anything and everything needed (pots, pans, coffee maker, baking equipment etc.).
The outdoors:
We were provided with a canoe and several life jackets. Although it was unused by our group, it would fit 3/4 people comfortably. The dock provided uninterrupted views of Lake Simcoe, the view is stunning whether its at midday or sunset. The water looked clean and was very clear. On a hot day, our group had a lovely swim. The firepit is located at the front of the house and with the provided lawnchairs, it gave our group a nice campfire night. There is a propane gas bbq machine on the deck with an extra tank as well as seating for 4 on the deck.
The neighborhood:
There are a couple of supermarkets nearby. There is also a fairly large park in the neighborhood with tennis courts in the middle. Our group visited the dam conservation area in the little town of Pefferlaw.
Slight cons:
- There were several spider webs surrounding the cottage as well as spiders. Since we were a large group this did not hinder our experience as most of us could deal with the critters. A point to note, no spiders were seen inside the cottage and therefore our experience was limited to the exterior.
- Our group did not have access to hot water, although we attempted to have a look at the hot water heater in the utilities closet and it seemed to be working. Perhaps, we did not turn it on properly and therefore were left without hot water access for the duration of our stay.
Overall we had a lovely experience and it provided us a fantastic end of summer getaway. The host was kind and accommodating. The entirety of the cottage experience was lovely. We would definitely pay another visit.

This cottage could not have been better equipped to suit our large family. The location was beautiful, lake and sunset stunning and cottage completely convient. The space was amazing, so much room for four children under one roof and six adults. Despite scorching temperatures the lake breeze and enormous windows kept the entire cottage cool. I totally recommend this space for the amazing area and the wonderful owners. Who I might add, made one chaotic trip to plan simplistic and reassuring. Many thank yous.

Our family had a wonderful vacation at this fantastic cottage. We stayed for one week and now wish we had stayed for two. There was ample space to spread out, inside the large cottage and out. This was great as everyone could do their own thing, relax or sleep, or come together for family time. The well stocked Kitchen was a pleasure to cook in. The cottage was beautiful and clean. Everything we needed and more. The cottage owners made sure that everything was in working order before our arrival.
The lake is clean and pleasant to swim in. My husband took the canoe across to Georgina Island and said that he could see the bottom of the lake for a large part of the journey. This is a testament to the quality of the lake. Our kids were in the water or on the large dock most of the time. Finally, the sunsets were spectacular. My kids posted photos on Instagram of the beautiful sunsets. We would rent this cottage again. It was worth every penny.

This is a beautiful serene getaway. Your MP expectations are exceeded once you see it in person. The views are spectacular from the huge great room window overlooking Lake Simcoe, with wonderful sunsets. You wake up in the large master suite to the same views visible from again a almost floor to ceiling window. Kitchen has large working are with everything equipment wise to make a gourmet meal. There are 3 other nice size bedrooms, and 2 1/2 baths.
They give you a good stock of firewood for the beautiful stone fireplace, which creates a very relaxing atmosphere. Close to shopping in Sutton, and about an hours drive from GTA. The owner is accessible, and I wouldn't hesitate to rent again.
