We had a great trip and always love Fripp!! We enjoyed the house and BJ was very responsive to any needs we had. The house does need some updates but overall we had a great experience!!

There were several issues with this property. First, there is a sign on the door to check everything before anyone enters to see if the house is clean. The house was “cleaned” but not the toilets. Next there were roaches upstairs, the small kind not the “palmetto bug” type. The pillows on the beds were disgusting and should be thrown away. I do have pictures, Of the pillows. But most frustratingly was the main exit, which was dangerously close to a 8-9 foot mother alligator and her NINE 3 foot babies (which she naturally protects). If we grilled the babies came up on shore. My dad (80 yr old) tried to gently shoo the babies away from the grill with a broom, but here came “Gwen” ( as the FI naturists call her). It was nerve wracking walking back to the house at night not knowing if they were in the pine cones next to the walkway. Someone should have warned us that the house had predictors residents.

We love Fripp and enjoy the island greatly. This home fit our needs well. The kitchen needs some updated pots/pans and silverware. The bathrooms and bed blankets needs a good scrubbing. Overall the home was fine for our beach get away.

This property had mold on the ceiling, filth and mold flush out do the shower when turned on, awful and dirty bedding, and hysterically, it asked you not to remove the mattress pads or covers-but no worries! There were none! Just the nasty bare mattress under the gross sheet and stained bedding.
Two of the burners on the stove did not work, and there were bugs crawling on the filthy drapery. And just for fun, a HUGE moldy hole in the master bedroom celing.
I have never felt that the owners respected me as a renter less, and we always, always try to leave a property better than we we found it, as a rule. I felt so disrespected for the cost. I expect functioning utilities and linens and repairs completed. It isn’t fit to rent.
And it’s wrong to rent it to paying patrons the way it is.
No way. Never again.
I’ve rented VRBO on Fripp for 13 years and this was the grossest and least functional rip-off.
Yuck.

My family has been traveling to Fripp for over 15 years. We have stayed in multiple houses on the island over these years. This house was in a great central location, had plenty of room, and the management was quick to respond to our needs. Would highly recommend.

Overall Good Value
Our family has frequented Fripp for a number of years (mainly over July 4th). We love the cottages off Davis Love because of their location on the island (close to the marina, beach, etc.).
12 Davis Love is a great property. It is open downstairs and could accommodate the 7 we had in our group easily. the view off the back porch is over a pond which is peaceful in the morning during a cup of coffee. The rooms are also spacious.
We ran into a couple issues with TV remotes and internet (Comcast problem), but BJ worked hard to fix it. We also had an issue with a faucet, and BJ had a new one installed the next morning.
For the value, this is a great cottage.

The cleaning fee should be optional. I cleaned when we got there and left it looking much better that I found it.

Great location. Lacking on refined details for a resort stay.
Great location.lacking on details.
Needs light bulbs/lighting that works. Could not find trash bags. Ice machine leaks alot on to floor ...so be sure to clean it up every time you use it otherwise it becomes a slip hazard. Sleeping on plastic bed wraps is noisy so I suggest earplugs. Wine bottle opener is really hard to use so bring your own.

The house is just beautiful. The property manager had everything ready for us when we arrived and they made everything easy. We will be coming back!

Family vacation 2019
We had a great time at Fripp, the house fitted our needs just fine. We stayed in this house a few times years ago. I would recommend maybe updating and cleaning up the outside area. Having only one trash can outside was not realistic when you cook a lot of meals and are feeding 11. I would recommend this house .

Plenty of beds, quiet, on the lagoon
Not updated but was fine. While the kitchen was well equipped, the bathrooms only came with soap and towels and washcloths None of the three bathrooms had a blow dryer and only one had a (leftover, perhaps) sample of shampoo and cream rinse under the sink.
Plenty of parking at the house. Don’t do like we did and get a ticket from the home owners assn for parking on the street if you drive to the cabana pool off veranda beach.
The lagoon is pretty but do not stay here if you are scared about the possibility of seeing an alligator; we did not see one but saw lots of signs that warned us about them
