This house was super clean, pictures were accurate, & great location within close walking distance of shopping, restaurants, walking/bike path, and a beautiful park and beach with nice restrooms. The beds were super comfortable.
I've stayed in many VRBO's all over the country. This one was the best stocked, everything from dishes, blow dryers, towels, condiments, coffee filters, paper goods, shampoos, bath soap, kitchen soaps, trash bags, ziplock bags, plastic wrap, foil, for the whole week. It was nice not having to buy all that stuff with no way to get the extras home. The new kitchen cabinets were labeled with what was inside. The dishes, flatware, knives, pots & pans were not the cheap kind you usually get in rentals. Amanda truly thought of everything.
My husband loved the Sonos stereo system. We listened to music every evening while sitting outside on the beautiful patio under the trees and sipping on wine. It was complete relaxation.
We ate at 2 good restaurants, The River Grill & Jakes on the Lake. We ate outside both nights something you can't do in Texas this time of year.
There is a Safeway and CVS within a 5 minute drive.
We would absolutely come back again.

Perfect house, location and host! The kitchen has everything you might need. The furnishings are nice and comfortable and we really enjoyed the outdoor deck. The information center with music and house information right at our fingertips was very helpful.
Amanda is a wonderful host! She was very responsive to all our needs. We highly recommend this property and look forward to a return visit!

This spot was cozy and had everything we needed for a great stay. Location was ideal. Lots of snow this year made for not a whole lot of natural light in the bedrooms and an unusable deck but inevitable with the record snow levels. Very clean, comfortable. Really enjoyed the Sonos speaker systems!!

We rented this house for two families with young kids during ski season. The house was very comfortable for the 7 of us. Beds were comfortably firm. Bunk bed was a hit with the kids. Large mudroom to leave gear and boots. Location was great for access to Tahoe City and nearby ski areas. Homewood is closest, just a short drive away. We were there during some heavy snow days and the plowing service did a great job, though best if you can notice when they're working so you can move your car from the driveway so they can completely clear it. If there is appreciable snow on the side road to the house, it's better to turn right out of the driveway, then right onto the next street to get to 89, rather than to make a left turn, which goes uphill to 89. A kindly neighbor advised us of this after we couldn't make it out that way. He said it can be impossible even for 4WD with chains in deeper snow.
The hosts are fantastic. Lots of clear email communication, plus they are very responsive. When we were snowed in on our last reserved day, due to I80 being closed, they kindly allowed us an extra night. Unfortunately, it gave them extra hassle since I80 opened later in the day and the guests booked for that night drove up and our hosts had to help them find alternate accommodations.
We had a great stay. Thank you Amanda and Pat!

Nice rental for small family. Very comfortable for our family of 4 - 2 adults, 2 children. Has beds for 8, but would be tight if all 8 were adults. Fantastic location near Tahoe City, Squaw Alpine, and west shore attractions. Owners were attentive and pleasant to deal with.

We spent a week in Lake Tahoe... and had the pleasure of staying in this rental property. The house is beautiful... only a few minutes from Tahoe Park... and has everything you need (games, kitchen supplies, toys, etc) to enjoy your vacation! Even though the house is near Hwy 89.... you can’t hear anything when you’re in the house or on the front porch deck. We’ll definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at this great little home. It was spotless and so well equipped, there was literally nothing more we could ask for. There is so much to do and see in the area, and the private village beach at the end of the road was the perfect spot at the end of the day. I would recommend this home to anyone planning a trip to Lake Tahoe

This is the perfect location and a wonderful cabin, supplied with everything you'll need for the perfect stay in the west shore of Lake Tahoe, right up the street from Sunnyside Grille and the Tahoe Beach Association! The front patio is perfect to lounge and have a nice meal and some cocktails and the street is nice and quiet with great neighbors. We felt very comfortable there and didn't want to leave. They supplied us with their rafts and beach chairs and blankets and we spent loads of time at the beach in the perfect summer water and we cooked out on the deck with the gas grill as well. We'll definitely be back next year and hope we can book it for three weeks next time. :-)

Great for kids. So many games, tv shows, bunk beds and a pack n play make bringing kids here easy. Loved walking to breakfast. Easy drive to Squaw and Homewood. Nice new kitchen.

We had an amazing time in Lake Tahoe at the Tahoe House. The 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house was perfect for our group of six (mom and kid getaway without the dads). Although it had a rustic cabin feel, the house had everything we needed for a fabulous vacation including comfortable beds, plenty of linens, washer/dryer, all the equipment needed to cook meals, and numerous modern amenities including a Sonos system (Tahoe dance party a must!) and TiVo with 200 movies (Legally Blonde!!!) and many recorded and recordable shows. Although the cabin is near route 89 (and the associated traffic/construction noise), it is also very close to the Lake with an included pass to the lake club, which we enjoyed going to many days. The cabin is located near many of our favorite Tahoe activities including rafting, biking, hiking, ziplining, swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, and more. Amanda was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We had an amazing time and hope to make this an annual tradition.
