Stayed at the Pioneer Park Cottage for our trip to Bardstown to take the Dinner Train. The cottage was a perfect location. Not far from downtown and within walking distance to Hadorns Bakery, Mammy's and Scout & Scholar restaurants. The cottage was clean and well stocked. Highly recommend if you're traveling to Bardstown.

Spent 2 days on the Bourbon Trail and this was an awesome choice for our stay. House was clean, well equipped and the location couldn’t be beat. Within walking distance of so much in Bardstown. Thank you!

Location to downtown is excellent. Street can be very noisy with loud motorcycles and cars at night. I know why the host supplies ear plugs in the bedrooms, but we really didn’t use them in the main bedroom. The bedroom nearest to the street would need them for sure. Off street parking was great, which made unloading and loading the truck very convenient. There were some big spider webs in the family room up by the ceiling or I would have given 5 stars for cleanliness. I am not a big fan of spiders. 😉 Overall it was a great stay.

We went for anniversary weekend. Perfect distance from downtown shops to walk and enjoy the day! The home was very clean and just as advertised. Highly recommend and could see us staying there again!

My husband, teen son and I stayed a weekend in Historic Bardstown and enjoyed this charming period home in a great location. I loved the front porch which faced across from the park with a log cabin and an old Cemetary (including Revolutionary War graves!) Tons of history all around, and we enjoyed being able to leave our car at the house and walking thorough the historic area, eating dinner/drinking Bourbon at Talbott Tavern one night. My Old Kentucky Home Estate was down the road and a quick 2 min drive, we took the tour and it was very informative and my son enjoyed it as well.
The home itself was cozy with period furnishings taking you back in time but had all modern amenities and 2 bathrooms and washer/dryer. Nice lighted backyard area as well but the porch was my favorite. I recommend this home for its location, charm and true to the historic nature of Bardstown, so much better than a standard hotel room.

A great location for Bardstown to be able to walk to/from downtown. The second bedroom was nice but did have twins so not ideal for two couples. The kitchen was well equipped and adjoining bar was a nice touch. Sitting down at the full dining room was a quite nice for breakfast.

We found the property to be extremely well located. We could walk to everything in downtown Bardstown. The property is one block from a busy street, however we experienced minimal traffic noise. The building is old, so the landlord did well with its configuration. The master bedroom had a very large bathroom with a tub, the shower was off the dining room. The bed in the master bedroom was comfortable. We can't speak to the twin beds in the other bedroom, which we didn't use. If you rent here, make sure to visit the Mr. Tubs bar. Friendly, great bartender. Make sure to book distillery tours in advance, even in the off season.

Bed was comfortable with very nice bedding. The kitchen was fully stocked with extra coffee, snacks, dish soap, and everything you would need. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Margaret Sue's cottage is a perfect "home base" for a visit to Bardstown. We took advantage of the location being right in town. The market, literally 1 door down offers bourbon bottles that weren't avail at the distillery's themselves.
We were fortunate to walk in to the Talbott Tavern with the band Big Black Cadillac's playing. We dances for HOURS! So fun.
Cute shopping nearby and wonderful restaurants.
We would definitely stay again at this VRBO. It worked for our party of 4.
Again - can't beat the location to downtown and nearby distilleries.

Loved our stay. We loved all the details and personal touches that made it a warm happy place. The high ceilings make the spaces even bigger. Love all the antique pieces. Thank you for your charming oasis. It was a great refuge for a busy wonderful weekend!

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage, and there was nothing that we lacked. The bathroom/shower wasn’t in a desirable location, but everything else was fine. We couldn’t have asked for a place any closer to downtown Bardstown—fabulous location!

The was a very comfortable stay for our party of four adults. The cottage is nicely furnished and includes plenty of well thought out amenities. We particularly enjoyed the back patio - even though we were just a block from downtown, it seemed very secluded. Pretty much anyplace you would want to visit in downtown Bardstown is within a five minute walk.

We enjoyed our stay in Bardstown. The house is located within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and shops. We enjoyed The Volstead Bourbon Lounge which is only about a 5 minute walk. Check out Toddy's liquor store for allocated bourbons which is about a minute walk away.
The house has a nice porch and outdoor area out back. The house was stocked with coffee, some bottles of water, and snacks - which was a nice touch. The only thing lacking for us was kitchen items - we like to cook about 50% of the time when we travel and the kitchen was lacking some basic items such as a large pot to cook pasta, sharp knives for cutting meat and potatoes, etc. but had a great selection of glasses.
The host is very responsive. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would book again next time in Bardstown.
