The location and layout of the cottage is great. The owner was responsive on relaying early check in and dropping off toiletry. A few things I think that can use improvement are 1) cleanliness of the place. The downstairs bathroom curtain had mildew. There were cobwebs and dead bugs throughout the house. 2) Ventilation was poor around the house. All the bedrooms had a musty smell which seems to be emitting from the bathrooms. 3) some updates such as newer dishwasher, tightening up the closet door knobs, etc. Overall, a lovely place that would even be better with some minor adjustments.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage. The house was ok; clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The magic happens outside.
This house is on a quiet street in a cute neighborhood. The deck off the kitchen is perfect. It has both sitting and a dining area with a grill. It is under a canopy of trees providing shade and comfort. The back yard is a good size, fenced in for the most part, again trees providing shade and privacy to most of the yard. A fire pit made for cool evening fun.
Kelly beach was small but nice, perfect for young children. The walk to the beach is doable but treacherous since there are no sidewalks and a good amount of traffic. I read about a trolley service but saw no evidence of that, we shuttled people back and forth so had no need for it anyway. The host was responsive and kind.
I would rent again except we really needed one more bedroom this year and we have a new grandchild on the way making this house challenging for space. We scoped our other listings in the neighborhood and no yard compared to this one. Very sad to not be able to return.

This beach bungalow is a convenient location in Bonnet Shores and the beach passes and walking distance to Kelly Beach are fantastic. Enough space for a family, although be warned, it is NOT a cook's kitchen - just not enough space/knives/etc. Good enough to cook basics. Air conditioning work ed perfectly. The downside was all the deferred maintenance, house itself just needs a thorough tending too - outdoor shower wasn't treated and had black and white mold. Given the price point, it was worth it this summer, but we would maybe look elsewhere for the future.

We were in RI for a soccer tournament at URI and this house was the perfect location. We had 4 adults, 4 kids and dogs. House had pretty much everything we needed. We had some free time after the games so took the bikes to the beach and had an awesome time there for a few hours. We’d definitely come back if we are in the area!

Nice 4 bedroom 2 bath house. Great outdoor spaces. The house does have everything included to enjoy your stay.. Hosts are lovely, welcoming and available for anything. 3 critiques that could easily be remedied -mold in shower on window, around handle and bathmat. The rest of the house was cleaned well.; bedroom doors have key locks without keys available (my son locked his sister out of her room and we had to contact the host at 930pm to let us in the room, they were great about it, but maybe not good for younger kids); queen beds sag in the middle so it was like sleeping in a pit next to my spouse. New mattresses needed.
Really though, we would rent again from this host. I would also suggest a welcome book explaining feature of the house and community to be in the house to making things easeir for them.

Wish we could get the weeks we want for this house. It was beyond what we expected. Great location! Owners really care about this house.

We love the quiet neighborhood and area. We rode the bicycles provided to the beach and had a great time. All of the supplies for the kitchen were provided and we used the grill several times. Great time has by all, even the dogs.

Cute house. We vacationed with my brother’s family. Plenty of bedrooms. We had couple of concerns when we first arrived. The homeowners returned our call quickly. Some things in the house are outdated. Kitchen counter space very limited. If you plan on cooking often this might be a challenge. The walk to beach is more than 11minutes as stated. Probably 25minutes. Difficult walk if you have children and beach stuff to bring. No sidewalks. Your better off getting dropped off.

We are a group of 5 women who stayed here for several nights. It was very comfortable for this size group and we had a lovely time. The house is clean and has everything you need to feel right at home and relaxed. Very quiet neighborhood. Easy drive to Newport and beaches. Nice backyard with fire pit. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Hosts are welcoming, quickly answered questions and overall very pleasant.

This house was perfect for our family, with two bedrooms upstairs and on the main floor. Nice, quiet neighborhood and good location.

The house was clean, the beds were comfortable. There were a couple things that could have been a little better… There were no beach towels, there was only one a beach chair and it was pretty beat up. It is technically walkable to the beach, but it is not that easy of a walk with beach stuff because it is a busy narrow street.
The kitchen was usable, but didn’t have basic things like a spatula.

This is our return trip to this home in Bonnet Shores. Even Hurricane Henri couldn’t spoil our trip. The house has everything our family of 7 needed. Plenty of space and all the amenities. The best is the proximity to Kelly Beach, the best beach for the 3 and 5 year olds. Already looking forward to next year.

We really enjoyed our stay. Michelle came over to see if everything was OK and Bill helped us with the TV. The house was clean and we felt comfortable staying there. We were glad we were able to bring our 14 year old pug mix with us. Our adult children and one spouse stayed with us and the upstairs space was perfect for them. The weather got hot and the air conditioner worked well. It was a short drive to stores and restaurants. We would consider renting it again.

My family and our 4 legged pups had an amazing time staying at the house. We hope to make this a yearly tradition!

Overall property was great. We loved the deck and outdoor shower! Quiet and safe area! Owner Michelle was very responsive and friendly! The private beach is nice but no facilities or parking.

This rental was perfect for our family getaway with babies, kids, teens, and adults! Tons of amazing outside space, and and an extremely roomy inside space. The area offered a great experience (the amazing beach, the food nearby, the walkable and rideable neighborhoods). The house had lots for our rainy nights or indoor hang out time (games, books, and WiFi for movies).
The house had perfect amenities for the beach (chairs, boogie boards, umbrella, and even bikes to ride to the beach). And the outdoor shower was the best!
Michelle was also an amazing host! We truly appreciate her quick communication and kindness!
We can’t wait to come back!

It was the perfect place for a bunch of us moms to get away, relax, laugh, and enjoy each other's company. Clean house, spacious, great location. Michelle reached out the very first day to make sure we had all we needed. It was perfect!

My husband, 9 month old, 4 year old and myself had a great beach vacation. The house was clean, cute and perfect for us and communication with Michelle was easy. We enjoyed the backyard and grill. We went to the beach every day. It was an easy 10 to15 minute walk to the private Kelly Beach- My toddler enjoyed jumping in the waves and the sand was nice. Also, there are so many beaches around a short drive away. One day, we drove 20 minutes to Roger Wheeler State Beach which we loved. Another day we drove 20 mins to take the ferry to Block Island for the day (we decided not to take take our car and we parked in a nearby lot). Block island was beautiful- had lunch at Rebecca's and walked to the beach, visited some cute shops. Also on our trip, we visited the near by Narragansett pier. We went for a family friendly, there and back, hike starting at at Black Point Trialhead with great ocean views. I would definitely return a visit at this Bonnet Shores house.

We were coming home to RI for a funeral service for my Husband’s brother. We grew up on Aquidneck Island and the service was there. This location was easy accessible to the Island. We loved the quiet neighborhood and the closeness of the private beach. House was clean, and comfortable. I would rent this house every time we come back home.

We had a wonderful stay at this house- spacious, well equipped, nice yard with grill and chairs, quiet neighborhood. It’s close to everything including restaurants and the beach. We didn’t have great weather for our weekend but we made the most of it thanks to this amazing house! Michelle was great, easy to contact, answered questions quickly and offered restaurant recommendations that we loved! We are hoping to come back and take advantage of the beach down the street and all Narragansett has to offer!
