About this apartment rental
Location.
The apartment is 60 meters from the Ponte Vecchio or Old Bridge, one of the most famous Florentine landmarks, and looks directly onto the river Arno. On the opposite bank of the river is the Uffizi museum complex and the famous Vasari Corridor, which connects the Palazzo Vecchio to the Uffizi and across the Ponte Vecchio to the Pitti Palace.
Across the road is a perfectly furnished small supermarket and all around there are excellent restaurants, cafés, wine bars, fashion shops and artisans’ workshops. With just a few minutes’ walk, you can reach all the principal monuments and museums, including the Uffizi museum; the Palazzo Pitti museums and the Boboli gardens; the Piazza della Signoria with the magnificent Palazzo Vecchio as well as the Duomo or Cathedral. You can also stroll along the riverbanks admiring the city and the surrounding hills.
About the apartment.
The 'Ponte Vecchio relax' apartment is on the 2nd floor of a recently fully refurbished building with all the windows overlooking the river Arno. It has two rooms plus a spacious bathroom for a total area of approximately 400 sq. ft.
As all the windows look onto the river and none face the street, the apartment is extremely silent even when the windows are left open. It is served by a newly installed elevator and each room has central heating and air conditioning. Furthermore the floor is entirely in oak parquet except for the bathroom where the use of tiles has been preferred.
When you enter the apartment there is a small hall and to the left you access the ample bedroom with a king size double bed. From the centre of the hall you enter the large bathroom equipped with a shower and where you will also find the washing machine. On the opposite side of the hall from the bedroom you find the living room with an equipped kitchen that can be closed out of sight when not used. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave oven; an under counter refrigerator; a dishwasher and a two fire induction hob. A toaster and coffee pot are also present. In the living room the comfortable sofa can be opened up to reveal a sofa double bed.

We were delighted with the apartment which was even better than the photographs. Everything in the apartment is of a high standard - beautiful floors, lovely kitchenette, tasteful furniture. The view of the Arno river and Ponte Vecchio is amazing. The host was very good at communication and very flexible when out travel was delayed. We will definitely book again when we are next in Firenze.

If you were looking for a place in Florence near everything you want and in an amazing location on the river, this is it. Great accommodations, great location, beautiful restaurants, and food wherever you need to go. I highly recommend this if you are looking into staying in Florence.
Our welcome host was amazing. 10 Out of 10 will stay again.

Located on the Arno near the Ponte Vecchio the flat is light, airy, modern and comfortable. We were able to walk everywhere. Our hosts were thoughtful and made our visit easy. They were responsible for the perfect visit to Florence.

We absolutely loved our stay here. We stayed 9 days total and fell in love with the location. Check in was easy and seamless. Their sweet mother-in-law Migi was the kindest and helped us get a taxi twice and waited with us to make sure it showed up. She checked on us to make sure the washing machine was working and left us a departing gift. I would stay there again just to see Migi again.

Incredible views of the old bridge, river, and Uffizi. The place is in excellent condition, and the hostess was so kind and generous! We will definitely stay there next time in Florence.

…thanks to Migi, who lives next door (mother in law) of the owner. She is the “host” & greets you with genuine warmth. Migi is extremely helpful and kind. She is helpful and can point you in the direction of your preferred experience.
(I’ve never written a review before and am motivated by our experience of this lovely human.). The property itself was perfectly situated as indicated by the photos—nothing is misleading.

This home was truly amazing, a dream come true. It’s located in a beautiful building and in the perfect location. The kindest woman checked us in, she honestly made our experience so much better. She gave us recommendations and even had us over for wine and snacks. The views from the home are breathtaking, views from the bedroom, bathroom, and living room. It was so clean and decorated beautifully. It was very roomy and was equipped with everything you could imagine. The bed and couch were so comfortable, the kitchen was perfect, even got to wash a load of laundry. I could not have stayed in a better Florence home. It exceeded every expectation. We kept the windows open all day and were able to watch people float by in the water and listen to the live music from the bridge. I found a great coffee shop just around the corner from the home. Everything I needed was right there. Seriously was the best part of our Italian trip. I hope that in the future we can stay here again. It was magical.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Would definitely recommend for a couple or small family who want to be close to the action in Firenze. We were also so pleased with how quiet it could be when the windows were closed!

This compact apartment has a fantastic location a few metres from the Ponte Vecchio in Oltrarno. All three rooms look out on the river, the bridge, and the Uffizi, at about the height of the Vasari corridor. This means that you are sightseeing from home whenever you look out. On the river pass elite rowers, paddleboarders, and in the evenings, a sightseeing boat with a violinist. On the bridge, there is a busker most evenings.
There is a good supermarket just across the street, some nice places to eat (including some with riverside tables) within a few steps of the front door, and almost all the main attractions are within a 20 minute walk.
The host is a very kind and engaging person whom it was our great pleasure to meet. We waited for our children to grow up and leave for university before going on this long-planned art and history trip to Florence. The combination of pre-booking the first slots of the day for the museums and looking out from this apartment’s windows made it seem sometimes that we had fewer fellow visitors than we really did in May-June. When the bridge is lit up and the evening strollers thin out in numbers around midnight, it isn’t hard to look out at the Vasari corridor windows and imagine the Medici walking back home after an evening’s work in the Uffizi. The sight would’ve been about the same then as it is now.

You can stand by your window all day and never tire of this view! If you leave the windows open at night, you may hear John Lennons “Imagine” being played on guitar on the bridge…..as it echoes over the Arno river. It’s just magical.
Our hostess, Midgy was the most lovely classy lady and was more than hospitable.
This was our second time staying at this apartment and we hope to stay there again. The bed is comfy, and everything you need is only steps away from the apartment. It’s a trip of a lifetime!

What a great apartment! Location was perfect right next to Arno river with views of Ponte Vecchio and hills. Super clean. Modern elevator. Everything you could want nearby including excellent gelato across street. The hosts mother in law lives next door and can give all advice you need. I must also say one of the nicest people you could meet a truly elegant woman. You will not be disappointed

We enjoyed our stay here so much. The property is lovely, and the location could not be better! Migi welcomed us so warmly and was available for all our needs throughout the stay. The bed is comfortable, washer worked great and dried our clothes efficiently. There is a market across the street, coffee bar down the street to the right, wine shop and gelato place to the left. Apartment is just a short walk to the Ponte Vecchio and Pitti Palace. You will not regret your stay here!!!

If you are looking to stay at the best location in Florence, stop now. The only thing better than the amazing day time views of Ponte Vecchio were the stunning night time ones. Opening the windows and experiencing the music and laughter and life of the crowds was special. Step out of you door and you were in the middle of it all in mere seconds. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive and just a joy to talk to. The location of this apartment made Florence the highlight of our 16 day tour through Italy.

I’m almost afraid to write how great our experience, as for sure it’s a hidden gem. The location was terrific as you probably can tell by the picture's…right on the Arno and close to everything. Migi our cohost was amazing, giving us hints about where to go/eat etc. she was a delight and always ready to help. Although it’s still March there were many tourists, so in the summer be prepared.

We absolutely loved our stay here! It's a cozy little apartment with a beautiful view of the Arno River and easy to walk and explore Florence from this location. The space is well appointed with all of the necessities you could need while traveling and the bed is very comfortable. The hosts were wonderful and responsive to any questions. We'd love to stay again when in Florence.

The place itself was amazing and in a perfect location and after a long day the elevator was nice, but check in was a bit rough. I was given check in information and followed all the directions expecting Benedetta to meet us when we got to the apartment (per instructions given). When we got there I texted and messaged on VRBO with no reply, I called the number that was given with no answer. So I called the main number on the listing (Alessandro) and he answered seemed confused and a bit out of sorts about what to do but eventually Migi (mother in law and also neighbor) came downstairs to the rescue, and what an amazing person she is! The washer/dryer was also not working which was a bummer since this was our second leg of our trip and needed to clean clothes but Migi offered to wash them for us and it worked out ok. Migi was a blessing in our case and it seems like most agree in the reviews and it seems like she should be the check in contact.

Best location - couldn’t ask for more! We were able to visit all the important landmarks inside n out - 5 nights should be just enough but we stayed 7. The owner’s m-i-l was a great help! Thank you Miji!

We loved our stay here at this lovely apartment with great views of the Ponte Vecchio. We were greeted by the gracious Migi who made herself available if we needed her. Great central location close to everything yet away from most of the hustle and bustle. The apartment was very comfortable and we hope to visit again. Grazie mille!

I can’t say enough about this wonderful place. And the host who helped us (owners mother in law) was just so kind and hospitable.
The place itself is in the perfect location- you cannot beat the views! Amazing ammenities, so clean and everything you could need.
I wish I lived here! Truly felt like living the Florentine dream. Thank you!!

Where do I start… Not only this place has the PERFECT spot, but it has the most amazing host ! We’ve been gone from Florence for one week and there’s not one Day that I don’t miss Migli ! She is the most smart, amazing and adorable woman I’ve ever met ! Migli will make sure that everything is perfect and she will make you feel like home the minute you meet her ! There’s lots of good restaurants and wine bars close by and a grocery store across the street. I would not only go back but I would move there if I could ! Don’t hesitate one bit of booking this place !

My wife and I had a great 4 nights at the property and thoroughly enjoyed the area and the great city of Florence!

First, the apartment was lovely with magnificent views of the Arno River from every room. With the windows open the noise of the late night and several concerts lulled us until we went to bed and then with the windows closed the noise was almost non existent. Second, Migi was a delightful host and we so enjoyed meeting her and she went above and beyond in communication and friendliness. We truly enjoyed our stay and Italian experience in Firenze!

We loved our stay in Florence, and this sweet well-stocked property, location, view and the lovely host played a big part in that. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, bathroom had all the amenities and the small living and kitchen area were very functional. Only negative comment is that the shower was quite small but water pressure was hot and good. The view of the river and Ponte Vecchio was outstanding. Some of the evenings had live music on the river which we could hear from the room. Lots of entertainment, restaurants, cafes and a grocery store right across the road. You can safely walk everywhere from this property. Highly recommend it and hope to return again soon.

The comfort and location of this place is amazing. We loved the views of the Ponte Vecchio from our windows. We purchased the Firenze Card and enjoyed our time in Florence. So much beauty and history in one spot. We also had the privilege of meeting and spending a brief visit with our host’s mother who lives next door. She was a breath of fresh air, very warm and welcoming. I would return to this rental in a heartbeat. We loved our stay. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

This apartment's charms and comforts cannot be fully illustrated by mere photographs and words. The photos showing the apartment's excellent location, just steps from the Ponte Vecchio, are completely accurate but cannot match the experience of being in the apartment, staring at the city lights over the Arno River. The apartment is quiet and completely conducive to getting a good night's sleep. The furnishings were thoughtfully chosen, the bed was comfortable, and the natural light was excellent. Above all, the hospitality shown by the host (actually, during our stay, by the host's mother-in-law) was helpful and gracious. We will recommend this apartment to any of our friends who plan to visit Florence in the near future.

You cannot beat the location or condition of this unit. It had everything we could possible want, every detail was covered. Check in was easy and pleasant. I travel to Florence often and will definitely be staying here again. The air condition was a godsend as it was the beginning of a heat wave but the unit always stayed cool.

A charming apartment with stunning views. We loved every bit of our stay which provided easy access to everything in Florence. The host’s mother in law was so welcoming and kind. She generously helped us with restaurant suggestions and booking a taxi which is hard to guarantee we found out. We highly recommend

Benedetta was great with directions and communication via WhatsApp. The place itself was absolutely lovely! It was clean and comfortable with a perfect little kitchenette. I could have stayed a long time. The location was perfect, easy to get to everywhere on foot.
There is an elevator that I was glad for because I had a knee problem one day. A grocery store just a few steps from the door. The building is very safe and secure with modern fixtures.
It is right next to the Ponte Vecchio and they do play music late. But I had no trouble sleeping.
Finally, Migi, Thank you so much for looking out for me and finding my sweater the last day!
What a treat it was to stay here.

Outstanding location. Very clean and comfortable place. Highly recommend it. Beware transportation is extremely difficult(impossible) when you need to check out. I would give 5 stars but communication with host was not possible. A very nice lady that was neighbor to us helped us out.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay - beside the Arno with an incredible view of the Ponte Vecchio. Perfect for a couple or for 2 people with a pull out sofa.Very clean and very well maintained - Centrally located - and the 'management' was incredibly helpful and friendly. Would stay again in a second!

Our plan was to secure a well located and comfortable flat
(apartment) in Florence and live there for three weeks. Unpack, settle in and come and go as we would if we lived there. This worked so well and we were delighted with our stay. In fact the flat was a highlight of the trip. So well located, stunning views of the Ponte Vecchio and the constant movement of happenings on the Arno River.
As a family closely associated with the sport of rowing we were delighted in seeing so much activity with the rowing club opposite.
The flat was perfectly arranged and all facilities were available . Comfortable, and tastefully furnished. The kitchenette was quite adequate and well provided with implements. The large double bed was superbly comfortable.
We were hosted graciously, welcomed, and made to feel that assistance was always available.
A lovely flat, superbly located with access to the old part of Florence. Restaurants close at hand as are the antiquities of the city.

This unit is a quick walk across the bridge to where all the action is. Still when laying in bed with window open we could hear the lovely musical acts that perform on the bridge. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We really enjoyed our stay once the bumpy initial process of checking in was over. There must have been miscommunication with the host initially, because we waited on the street outside the apartment for around 45 minutes. However, once inside, our host's mother-in-law, Migi was delightful and calmed my husband's temper with her charm. The apartment was everything we hoped for and the VIEW! Wow, we kept the windows open as much as possible for the ambient sounds from the area, the music one could hear in the evening, and for the view of the Ponte Vecchio right outside our window. The kitchen was perfect. The shower was a bit small by our standards, but serviceable. The bed was a bit soft and wobbly and would be my only complaint about the apartment. There were a few light bulbs out and we requested that one be replaced, which it promptly was. The elevator in the complex was prompt and very convenient to the apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again! Love Florence, loved Migi!

This little haven very close to Ponte Vecchio is the best rental we have ever stayed in. I find it hard to know where to start!
The position is perfect, the apartment spotless and thoughtfully appointed with quality and stylish fittings.
Communication from the outset was faultless and extremely quick. We were greeted by Bernadette's mother in law who lives next door. Her welcome was so warm and it quickly became clear she was very keen to be available and helpful but in the least obtrusive way. There were beautiful fresh tulips which was such a thoughtful touch.
We have always loved this little corner of Florence and have stayed many times over the years, this was without doubt the best experience. A midstay clean, with fresh linen/towels and tulips happened with great ease. I could go on and on.
It was wonderful in every way. Thank you for this fabulous experience, generosity and thoughtfulness. We would love to think we will be back next year!

We had a lovely stay. Close to all tourist attractions, easy to reach, checkin in was lovely. Our defacto host, Migi, was the most delightful woman. The only minor criticisms are that the shower is VERY small (hard to even really wash and move), not all of the lights work and it is VERY close to the “action” of Florence so there is a bit of evening noise from the bridge music, nearby bars/clubs. These were minor and would still absolutely recommend a stay.
