Just off of beautiful Taylor Square, this two-bedroom, one-bath townhouse has everything you could want in a vacation home. Within walking distance to all Savannah has to offer, you’ll simply have to pick a direction to begin your day of exploration.
The first floor of this home has a spacious living area with plenty of comfortable seating and a large flat-screen TV, so you can spend some time catching up on your favorite shows. The dining table seats four and is right next to three floor-to-ceiling bay windows overlooking the private courtyard. The adjacent kitchen has been fully renovated and has a modern subway-style backsplash and stainless steel appliances. You’ll find additional seating and a grill outside, perfect for a gathering of family and friends.
Upstairs you’ll find both bedrooms, each with their own access to the balcony through matching French doors. The first bedroom has a king-sized bed while the second has two twin beds. The shared bathroom has a shower/tub combo and pedestal sink.
If you do bring a pet to this dog-friendly home, you'll be in a great location to walk over to Mother Matilda Beasley, the only dog park in the Historic District. What a quaint, comfortable home in downtown Savannah! The outside space is a dream. It’s a perfect space for starting the day with coffee or ending it with drinks. The air conditioning could be better upstairs but I would definitely stay here again. Parking was so easy. We had a great stay.

This house is in a great location, clean, and furnished well. My only complaint is the upstairs where the bedrooms are located is HOT. The downside was nice and cool but the heat literally hits you in the face as you walk up the stairs. Upon arriving and settling in we found multiple fans in both room closets which implies to me this is an ongoing issue. I did message asking about the air conditioning upstairs and I did receive a prompt response and maintenance did go check everything out but was told everything was working correctly. After being out in the heat all day trying to sleep in the heat was miserable!

We arrived and checked in to our original Airbnb, booked through an independent owner. Upon arriving, we were very disappointed and felt unsafe for the area we were in. I contacted Lucky Savannah, and they found us a rental closer to the historic district. They made several calls and stayed with us until we could check in and get settled. We were quite upset as we have no place to go and being in a strange town. Our new place was amazing and very cozy. Thank you so much for going the extra mile at the last minute. We would not hesitate to contact this company again God bless you.

The kitchen was well maintained and had all the tools needed to cook. The parking situation was great and I never had to worry about parking. The rental was clean. We stayed for 5 nights and had an amazing time! The house was perfect for the two of us and our two dogs. Very well appointed. It's one of those VRBO's that feels like a friend lent you their home to stay in. Those are my favorite kind. There is art on the walls, books on the bookshelf, pillows on the couch. It feels like a home, not an empty shell. We cooked breakfast and one dinner here and had everything we needed. The location cannot be beat. We parked the car outside the house and walked everywhere we went. This street is one of only a couple in the historic district that doesn't have metered parking. The outdoor courtyard was lovely and great for our dogs. I highly recommend this lovely little carriage house for a stay in Savannah.

We have stayed in many VRBO properties and had a mixed experience with this rental. Things we really liked: the backyard patio was beautiful, the location was great, the kitchen was very functional, the service by Lucky Savannah was very good. Things we disliked: the lighting throughout the house was poor and dim, despite being mentioned by previous tenants (not bright enough to even read under). The living room lamps were totally not up to the task; the apartment was not particularly clean. Things we strongly disliked: the living room couch smelled so badly we avoided using it, the mattress in the main bedroom was so soft and yielding it felt like a waterbed - I had to sleep in the single bed. For the price, we expected better.

This unit is in a great location for walking to everything in downtown Savannah. The street is very quiet and provided a wonderful experience. The home was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The home is a bit darker than it shows in the photos and could use a few more lights - or maybe some overhead lighting. The kitchen appliances (stove and dishwasher) are small, but were fine to meet our needs. We did have trouble getting two of the burners on the stovetop to work.We would definitely recommend this home to others and will likely come back in the future because of its ideal location and cleanliness.

Highly recommend this cozy historic house! The beautiful and private courtyard was so enjoyable to sit in w/ a glass of wine after a day of exploring the beautiful neighborhoods and sights nearby. We walked everywhere…never moved our car from the convenient space right in front. The house had everything to make it feel like home. It looked just like the pictures, was in the perfect location to walk everywhere with a 30 minute drive to the beach, and provided such a comfortable, homey, and lovely stay. Wish we could have taken the courtyard with us!! They even had an incredible book selection and some fun games for the rainier days. Next time come to Savannah, we know exactly where to stay! My mom and I decided to visit Savannah for a long weekend, and this place was absolutely perfect to stay. We were able to bring our dogs too! The garden in the back was perfect to sit in and read, and gray for the dogs to run around a little. Savannah is def dog friendly, which we loved! The location was great, a 10 minute walk to Forsyth Park! There is a trolley stop for both hop on and hop off tours less than 5 minutes from the location. It was so clean, and just the right size. Check in and check out we’re a breeze. I would absolutely stay here again when I go back to Savannah!

This is our second stay at Gardenview on Calhoun, we come back for the courtyard, it’s special. The house was very clean, crisp linens, plenty of towels. The kitchen is very well equipped, including a coffee grinder (really nice surprise if you’re a whole bean coffee person like moi) so grab a bag of whole bean from Savannah Coffee Roasters and enjoy a cup in your every own courtyard. Two comfortable bedrooms, one bathroom upstairs.The house is a good walk to Broughton Street and all shopping and restaurants and, famous Clary’s is just around the corner. You’d want to drive to the riverfront. The famous fountain at Forsyth Park is only a 10 minute walk. The two streets the house is situated between is currently free parking, one block away is metered parking. The people at Lucky Savannah are very helpful and available by phone, email or text if you need anything. Overall, I highly recommend this historical carriage house and beautiful courtyard, perfect for your Savannah stay.
