Bridging the South San Juan and Weminuche Wilderness Areas, the pass is beloved for stunning vistas and ample opportunities for backcountry recreation along the Continental Divide. We stayed here in 2020 and it was good, and it was good this time as well. It was closer to 4.5 stars than just four, btw. The check-in didn't go perfectly due to a confused writing of the lockbox code(s). There were a FEW things not cleaned from a previous guest, but to be fair, I'm not sure we brought that up with the owners. The biggest critique is the trash issue with the store versus logistics and our schedule. That said, we liked the place and the location for drives to our runs, hikes, and drives up CO-149 north of the place.

All the bedrooms were fine. To many strange steps in the house. No suitable for handicapped people. Clean and everything in working condition. Location good. Didn’t like having to find someplace to drop off our trash.

My husband is one of 8 siblings who grew up in Santa Fe. They are scattered all over the west, so this was a perfect location to meet for a few days with some of the spouses and a few nieces and kids. The house is spacious and we had everything we needed for a great stay. We enjoyed our time together. We explored nearby Del Norte and Creede. Some of the more adventurous hiked and went fishing--it is a beautiful area.

Family Guys Trip
Great place for large gathering. Not handicap friendly is my only comment. Several different floor levels. Still a great place to stay.

Great place for a family reunion
Lots of room, the home is well equipped and had plenty of opportunities for skiing (30min from Wolf Creek), and other recreational activities (it is near the Rio Grande river). We recommend it.

Wolf Den
Nice accommodations. Check in time too late and check out time too early. Trash an issue. We had to check out by 9:00am.
Trash was left over by past users but we set all the trash out for pick up. Was to be picked up by 9:00am. No trash truck, so we had to put all the trash back and take ours with us. Left a trashy taste in our mouths!
Recommend earlier check in time and later check out time and improved trash arrangement.

Fun times
Great location in one of the most scenic places in Colorado (IMHO). Home was stocked with most everything we would have needed - was a quick trip where we brought the minimum needed so was nice to find the place well stocked with the small things. Lots of room for our group of six, quiet location near the Rio Grande for fishing, and South Fork and Creede were great places to visit.

Needed cleaning
Nice property but needed a good cleaning. Cookware needs to be replaced as well as coffee pot. There was a pizza left in the oven (maybe from previous guests) so we changed our mind on using the oven. No real access to fishing except crossing neighbors property. Beds were plentiful. Too many remotes to TV and accessories.

Great group get away
Our group of high school cross country runners and chaperones had a great time! The location was perfect for adventuring to new running and hiking spots every day. The house is comfortable and spacious enough for the 18 of us. Thank you and we hope to return in the future!

Fun! Fun!
The place was just right for our family, 12 adults and 7 children under 7. The place is within walking distance of the river, far enough from town for privacy, great scenery.

Large Family Gathering
A great experience for our entire family. The property had plenty of space and is centralized location a centralized location to many outdoor activities. The proximity to the Rio Grande was closer than expected which was a treat. Very easy process. Thank you.

Great ski vacation!
Nice and spacious cabin with well equipped kitchen, that fits a big group of people. Very quiet neighborhood, surrounded by forest. Great star gazing! We skied in Wolf Creek and soaked in Pagosa springs afterwards. Those who didn't ski played ping pong. That's a fun activity. I can only imagine how nice it must be in other seasons. We liked it a lot!

Plenty of space
We had a group of 17 stay here after Christmas. We had plenty of space to spread out. The only draw back to having that many people was the hot water had a hard time keeping up during shower time.

Overall great place. Would most likely book again.
Very easy check in. Accommodated everyone well with enough space everywhere for people to hang out and do there own thing all while being in the house. The only drawback(not the owners or properties fault) was what we mostly did was over an hour away. But I would definitely book this place again.
