About this apartment rental
Close to dining and shopping in nearby Kailua-Kona Village the Keauhou Palena is a great vacation get-away.
The Keauhou Shopping Center is with-in a short walk. It offers interesting shops, restaurants, a large super market, a great farmers market every Saturday, cinema, banks, medical clinic, drugstore, post office, and gas station with an amazing view of the Kona Coast and every Friday there is also a FREE Polynesian show in the courtyard of the shopping center.
In addition the Keauhou Palena is very close to Kahaluu Beach Park. This is an extremely popular spot to surf, and snorkel. The snorkeling here is great! There are abundant tropical fish and you are almost guaranteed to see Hawaiian sea turtles (Honu). You don't even need to be in the water to see them. They often rest on the sand at dusk. You can rent snorkeling equipment right at the beach.
A further ten minute walk will take you to White Sands beach (a.k.a Magic Sands...as every year around March and April, the sands are stripped away by heavy seas and currents, exposing rough coral and making the area rugged for swimming. People still come here during those months because it is a good vantage point for observing migrating humpback whales.)
While not directly on the water beautiful sunsets are a VERY short, 2 minutes maybe, walk away every night.
The Keauhou Palena is a golfer's delight; located right at the Kona Country Club golf course, a 36-hole layout featuring the Ocean Golf Course and Ali'i (Royal) Golf Course.
Kona is world famous for it's Spectacular Manta Ray Night Dives, truly a life changing experience! In addition to great diving Kona is home to the world championship Ironman Triathlon and the Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament, fantastic events to participate in or observe.
Don't forget Volcanoes National Park is a must see when you visit this island paradise.
There are Exterior Security Cameras install monitoring both entrances and parking areas for added security.

Our stay was great. The apartment had everything we needed. The pool was not crowded at all and the kids enjoyed going everyday. The grounds staff is super friendly. It’s a super quick walk to the bay for manta ray night swims and a quick walk across the golf course to watch the sun set. Thanks for the great stay!

My family of 4 stayed 7 nights here. We loved three quiet location, breakfasts on the lenai, walks to Keauhou harbor for sunsets, and great central location. The property easily fit all 4 adults. 2 bathrooms was a huge plus. All the gear you need for the beach. Great host and a great property!

Property was clean and comfortable with no surprises for my small family of four. Would gladly stay again.

This was a lovely condo in a great location that was quieter than downtown Kona. It was well stocked with everything for a beach vacation including beach towels, chairs, umbrella and even sunscreen. The checkin process was a little difficult to figure out but everything else was great. We really enjoyed this rental.

The price, location and size of the property was exactly what we needed. The property manager was on site and very kind, helpful and welcoming. The owner was quick to reply with any questions or concerns and made the check in and check out process easy.

This is the second time we’ve rented this place and we love it. The property is quiet and friendly and the maintenance manager always welcomes us and gives us tips on places to visit.
The kitchen has every tool and spice needed. I enjoyed taking my coffee on the patio each morning as I was arched the birds on the golf course.
Plenty of towels for the unit and the beach. Beds are super comfy. Nice to have air conditioning in the master bedroom as it isn’t common here.
Owner is super nice and checked in when we arrived to make sure everything was ok.
Thank you!

This condo was even better than we expected. We were surprised once we went into the condo on how spacious and well stocked it was with everything we needed.
The lanai was so nice to eat breakfast every morning and it was just a short walk to go see the sunset across the golf course which we went every time we were at the condo in the evening.
Adam was a great host as he replied very quickly to my messages and was very accomodating and understanding to all of our requests.
We would definitely stay at this condo if we do again to the Big Island. Mahalo Plenty!

Nothing but positives about this vrbo. The owner also communicated well. It was myself and my 2 adult kids. We each had a private area to sleep (mine was a fold away couch). Recommend this most definitely.

The condo is all the write up says and more. Very well supplied with everything we needed. The complex was very quiet and appeared to be well looked after. Keauhou is a good area to stay in, close to lots of activities but not as busy as around Kailua-Kona.

The condo is in a great location south of the heart of Kailua Kona. It was a short drive to restaurants and shopping. The condo had everything we needed to cook, relax and go to the beach. We would stay here again.

This place was the perfect size for 4 people. It would have been very crowded with any more. The location is amazing!! It is really well stocked with almost anything you could need. Adam is great to work with and he responded very quickly. We stayed in July and there is no air conditioning. It did get quite hot. There are many fans to help with that though. If you are squeamish about bugs…. Don’t go to Hawaii.

Quiet and relaxing. We had a wonderful stay with our children.

I stayed in the condo for a week in July with my wife and three kids. It is something like a three minute drive to Kahalu'u park. We really enjoyed how we could get there so easily, and snorkel there early in the morning - it felt like we had all the fish to ourselves. Another couple minute drive gets you to white sands beach which is crowded right now but has great boogie boarding waves. When we were too worn out for the ocean but when had energy to burn we just hung out at the pool.
I appreciated that the condo is well stocked with beach stuff like towels, bamboo mats, coolers, and chairs and also lots of Tupperware in the kitchen to pack lunches.
The only thing to clarify is the description of the place that it's a 2 bedroom. It is, but one bedroom has an accordion type temporary wall that opens to the living room - not offering much privacy. My wife and I stayed in that room so we could put the kids to bed in the larger master bedroom and still be out in the living room in the evening. Sometimes our kids would wake us up in the morning by poking one head through the main door and another head through the temporary wall.

Thank you for sharing your home with us. It has everything we needed for a comfortable stay to explore the beautiful Kona area. Night snorkeling with manta ray, snorkeling at Two Step, and boogie boarding at Kua Bay were the highlights. We are grateful for the beach equipment, well stocked kitchen for making meals, books, puzzles, and movies for downtime relaxation. Could not have asked for more.

I have visited Kona with my family including senior citizens, teenage kids, spouse and myself. The condo is same as being described in the details. I would suggest this place to stay for party of four. Our group of six was little crowded. The beds were comfortable, but I wouldn't suggest sofa bed for sleeping. Inflatable mattresses were provided along with pump. We have used the provided camping chairs, and ice chests for picnic anf sunset at the beach. Enjoyed the beautiful rainbow over the golf course during our stay. Overall, it is a nice place to stay, and relax while exploring Kona. Close to harbor for early morning boat trips. Close to beaches for snorkeling and just enjoying the beach. The scenic byway for shopping is within 15 minutes drive.

Great location, everything you need in the kitchen, nice to have two bathrooms, can walk across the golf course to watch the sunset along the water in less than 5 mins. We were a little worried about no A/C but the ceiling fans did the trick!

This unit is very comfortable for a small family or two couples. the unit was very clean, well furnished, and with all amenities at your disposal. The proximaty to shopping, the ocean, and activities is great. Adam is very attentive and great to deal with. We would stay here again!
