About this house rental

We have not been impacted by TS Helene. Come visit Skyfall Lodge in picturesque Sky Valley, Georgia! Enjoy the cool mountain breeze from our deck as it washes over you at 3,500 ft above sea level. Our recently renovated home offers 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths with two master suites! We offer a master suite with a queen bed on the main for those who need ease of access. Overall, Skyfall Lodge offers very few steps with plenty of access to the outdoors. A lovely screened in porch in the back offers a great place to relax and catch up. Or maybe enjoy our fire pit in the evening and chat about what you'll do tomorrow. We also offer access to the Sky Valley Community pool, tennis & fitness center. Tennis, fitness center and indoor hot tub are offered year round, the heated pool is open from roughly April 1 to October 31st.

Like your morning coffee or tea on the patio? Just steps from our updated kitchen, you can sit on our covered porch with two big rockers. Maybe you want to enjoy outdoor dining? Don't forget those steaks for our gas grill! When they are done, everyone can join you for alfresco dining, and you might find you want to keep visiting and enjoy the evening air as your day comes to an end.

Indoors there is plenty of seating for a large group with a formal dining room, breakfast bar and kitchen table. Our living room is comfortably decorated with a sleeper sofa and comfy couch for relaxing while watching TV or movies. Upstairs we have our book nook loft, with a comfy chair and good lighting to enjoy a book. Bring one of yours or borrow one of ours, it's a perfect activity on a rainy day.

The remaining three bedrooms are on the second floor, the 2nd master suite offers a queen bed, TV and a private bath and is off the loft area. The middle bedroom offers a queen bed and shares a jack and jill bath with the last bedroom which has two sets of twin bunk beds and a TV. Of course we have cable and wifi for those that can't leave technology behind, and if you need to have some fun, we offer access to the Sky Valley Country Club swim/tennis/fitness facilities! The Sky Valley golf course is public, so everyone may play.

Full of charm and history, Sky Valley, GA offers a beautiful and challenging 18-hole championship golf course, a practice facility, a 13,000 square foot clubhouse, an open air pavilion, and an outdoor park. Skyfall Lodge chooses to provide guests with access to their heated swimming pool and tennis courts. However, if other outdoor fun is your goal, there are limitless hiking trails nearby with spectacular views and waterfalls. We offer a large binder at the house with over 30 hand picked hikes suitable for all age groups. There are also plenty of other activities to choose from in the area, just look through our binder or the brochures we provide!

Just moments away are hundreds of shops, high-end restaurants with five-star chefs, award- winning vineyards, spas, arts and antiques. For the more adventurous, there are zip lines, whitewater rafting and trout fishing on the Nantahala and Chattooga Rivers or snow skiing in nearby Maggie Valley and Sapphire Valley. Sky Valley is less than two hours away from the major cities of Atlanta, GA, Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC. .

A nice place for a family getaway. We had ages 22-77. The downstairs master bath was nice for my older parents, they didn’t have to do the stairs. There was another master bath upstairs as well. We really enjoyed our stay.

Sisters and mom get together. It rained mostly this weekend so we worked on a puzzle and played games. Great to sit outside on the covered porches and also open porch when we could to listen to birds and enjoy the wooded surroundings. Great place!

My family had a wonderful time. The property is really gorgeous. We felt very secluded, but we were still close to lots of area activities. On our way to the cabin, we learned that the hot tub was out of order and would not be fixed until after our stay. These things happen, but it was definitely a disappointment, as the private hot tub was one of the main reasons we selected this property. Nonetheless, I would still recommend this cabin for anyone looking to stay in Sky Valley, as it is a lovely home and a great location.

We recently stayed here for a long weekend with family friends. It was more than accommodating for 2 families with kids! Location was beautiful and near activities for the kids and adults! We had excellent communication with the host. Easy check in and check out. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway that can be as peaceful or as active as you want.

We really enjoyed our Thanksgiving getaway at Mtn Rustic Retreat. Location is awesome and the house met our needs to the fullest. We had plenty of room to spread out even though we had 12 people between kids and adults. Kitchen was well stocked, and the TV setup was great. We would happily recommend this for a family vacation.

My family enjoyed a long weekend in this spacious mountain house. It was open and had plenty of space to be together or separate if we chose. Lots of living space both indoors and out. Close to fun things like downtown Clayton and the Highlands outpost which the kids LOVED!

This quiet, well-stocked property was good for our family of 7 but needed some attention. As a rental property, its easy to overlook lights out, or missing supplies but were brought to the owners attention after the stay. Enjoyed the hot tub. Final note, the driveway is steep, so be careful on wet days. Bunkbeds were adequate for kids; not comfortable for adults. Loved the location and ideas on where to explore.

Nice home, good location and very roomy. However, the house needed cleaning. Coffee pot had coffee grounds in the top. Master shower had black mold around the glass doors, blinds in the home were dirty, and found dust clusters on the wall and spider webs in the corner of the living room that had been there for some time.

Beautiful and spacious house in the mountains. We all enjoyed the hot tub and had a fire in the fire pit which is part of the deck. Kids enjoyed the community swimming pool. We went White water rafting and hiked to many waterfalls in the area.

We enjoyed our time at this property. Nice space for our group (consisting of 8-10 throughout the stay), adequate kitchen utensils for cooking multiple meals while we were there to feed the whole crew. We enjoyed the fire pit and there were plenty of chairs for all to sit around the fire.

We came to the mountains to celebrate my sister’s birthday. The house was perfect for what we needed. Probably the most well stocked kitchen of any house I have ever stayed in. Very clean, lots of information available about things to do. There was wood already in the fire pit. We never got a good fire going, but that was user error😁🙄. We didn’t use the hot tub but it looked lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

We take a group of excellent music students on two annual trips. We needed a place with good proximal balance between rigorous outings; we also wanted it to be remote enough so that real relaxation could be possible. We were delighted to find this property. It couldn’t have been a better fit for our needs — the hot tub was ideal, and the other amenities (especially foosball, it turned out) were top-notch. We had great meals and bonded well together. The host was always available to answer inevitable questions about where things might be and other house queries. I’m very grateful and impressed!

We stayed at this cabin for 3 nights, with 6 adults and 5 kids. The cabin was a bit hard to find because we were arriving at night and the house number was not visible from the street but Lisa had given us very detailed directions so up to the resort we had no issues. The cabin is exactly as shown on pictures. There was plenty room for everyone. However, if you have small kids that need to sleep with you in the bed then the bed is too small for two adults and a child. The beds were a bit uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you might need. We had unfortunate weather and it rained every minute we were there so we didn’t get to enjoy any of the amenities of the resort. The owner was very pleasant and responded to all requests and questions quickly. I definitely recommend this cabin.

Oh my goodness! What a wonderful property. We needed to be in Highlands, North Carolina for a rehearsal dinner and a wedding. This was a short drive away and was the perfect place for our family. We enjoyed the spaciousness, the outdoor seating and the hot tub. It was great having enough space and bathrooms for all of us. Speaking with the owners was easy with quick responses. I hope we get to come back and visit this beautiful spot again. So fabulous! With great shopping nearby and beautiful mountain views. I don’t think we could have picked a nicer property!
