The house was a wonderful option for a large family group. We needed a place to stay for two nights prior to our daughter’s wedding weekend at the Kaplan Mitchell Retreat Center. The long kitchen table afforded two groups of 4 to work on separate wedding preparations (assembly style) at the same time. The house was clean, comfortable, and had amazing views from the 3 different decks.

Great location and property. Proximity to the Sky Valley amenities was terrific.

The cabin was wonderful. So sad people who have stayed before us didn’t know what a trashcan is. Beer can were thrown over balcony and all down through the woods.

It was a really nice cabin.

Location good and house spacious enough for our family.

Very comfortable and good layout. We enjoyed having a table that the ten of us could sit together. The were comfortable. The view was a bit restricted but still it was relaxing. Big kitchen and easy for multiple people to work together in and it was well equipped. We would stay here again

This home is set up for big family gatherings. It was just the right amount of room for all of us to gather in one large space and small groups to gather inside and around the property. The two master bedrooms and en suite bathrooms on the top level are beautiful. There are two bedrooms on the main level off the kitchen living room. Both have en suite bathrooms. This main level is a beautiful large space with a great well stocked kitchen and comfortable living room area. The view from the main back deck is good and even better on the upper decks off the the two master bedrooms upstairs. There are two bedrooms on the next level down that share a bathroom. One bedroom has a window looking out at the back deck and the other is an interior room with no window. This level has a nice living room space with access to the back deck. The lowest level is a large space with games, tv and huge sectional sofa with access to the back deck. There is also a full bathroom down here. All the bathrooms in the home are full bathrooms. Surrounding neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. I had one small issue/question and it was quickly resolved with a phone call to the property manager contact person. We loved the home and the area and will be back.

Awesome property. Amazing views, comfortable beds, wonderful place to chill. This property was very neat and clean and was perfect for our group.
We would definitely stay again.

We attended the Highlands Motoring Festival and this was our first stay at this property. More room than our four couples needed but the house was great. Lots of stairs as the house is on four separate levels.
We had a couple of people state their maps/gps guidance was directing them towards the adjacent country club. So to the extent that this helps, I recommend taking Dillard Rd towards Highlands, NC. Look for the Sinclair gas sign as a landmark with a right turn just before it (assuming you are northbound on Dillard rd).
Rooms and kitchen were clean, and the only items folks were looking for was shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms. Otherwise the collective opinion was we would stay again. Excellent communication by the host so everything was quite smooth.

The good
*plenty of room/space to spread out, *great place for large groups
*kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms were all fine
*Multiple decks provide good outdoor area to hang out
Room for improvement
*the only propane tank on the property was empty and sitting in the weed infested flower bed out front. It was obviously empty but it was not replaced. We planned to grill for dinner since the property was listed as having a grill. I had to drive down the mountain to get a propane tank. I left screenshot of proof of purchase with Evolve. 10 days later I have yet to be reimbursed. This is not acceptable.
*the yard area around the house needs attention -weeds overrunning flower beds, trash by the sides of the house, etc.
*the “fire pit” area is a joke (and also right next to the trashy side yard) It was not used during our stay due to poor conditions and dirt covered chairs. It appeared the fire pit area had not been visited for several weeks
*tree tops could be trimmed to provide a much better view.
Summary - it’s suitable for large groups who need a place to stay. I would stay here again. The interior was clean and suitable. The exterior needs some work. The lack of reimbursement for the propane drops it to a 3 star rating.

Cabin was very nice. Location was excellent. Plenty of space. View was very good, except some previous renters had discarded trash, mainly beer cans, on the property.

My boyfriend and I along with a few other couples chose this house for a little birthday mountain weekend and it was perfect for us. The location was perfect from where we were all coming from and since we went into Highlands one day. The view was beautiful. It had everything we needed for the big meals we made. The large kitchen table was so fun so we could all sit together. The basement area was also fun at night with the stereo and poker table for the guys. We truly had no issues. We will definitely come back!!

We loved this property so much! It fit our needs perfectly.
Please note that we noticed garbage on the ground at the back when we arrived. It looked like it had been thrown off the deck.
We had a wonderful time! Thanks so much!!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful spacious cabin with beautiful views in multiple areas ! If you have a large family/group this cabin is perfect with an open kitchen with a large dining table joining the den area and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms . We enjoyed grilling on the main floor deck with spacious area to sit back enjoying the beautiful view listening to the Sky Valley Church bells. Location is close to many outdoor adventures!

Overall, we had a great experience. We were under the impression that it was a two-story cabin. It is a four-story cabin. With small kids, this was an issue. When we arrived, there was a note on the refrigerator that stated that the dishwasher door needed to be fixed. We thought that it just came down quickly when you opened it. Twice, it slammed down while running and eventually would not stay closed. We ended up handwashing the dishes. With a family of 12, that was a chore. We would not have stayed here if we knew that the dishwasher was not useable. Thankfully, it did not fall on anyone. It was a terrible hazard. Also, the cooktop only worked on high even when it was set on low. We have been staying at cabins in north Georgia for decades. I won't stay here again. It should not be rented if someone could get seriously injured. I am so glad that none of my grandchildren were standing next to it when it slammed open during operation. There were a few other issues that were manageable.

It’s a nice cabin with a view of the mountains. There were 10 of us including 4 kids. There was plenty of space with multiple floors and rooms. There wasn’t a lot for the kids to do besides foos ball on the lowest level, they had that and a poker table. The kitchen was a good size and the table sat 10 which was perfect. There is a wood burning fireplace in the living room and a fire pit outside but they don’t provide firewood (just FYI). It was decorated with mountain style furniture which was a nice touch as well as fall decorations for the season.
All in all it was a very nice cabin.

6 friends went to the mountains for girls trip. We had a fantastic time in the mountains if North Ga and North Carolina. Property was just what we were looking for and very clean. A wonderful time!

My family and I have stayed in many VRBO homes but this one was one for the books. The house was clean, spacious, and just perfect for my family. Very relaxing with a beautiful view and just what our family needed. Will be booking for future stays. Rachel was quick with responses to any questions I had. Thank you for an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Beautiful home! Perfect for extended family!
This home is absolutely beautiful! I was nervous because there were a few reviews with negative comments on cleanliness, but other than a few very remote corners was quite immaculate (ex: a few cobwebs at very high remote areas in less used parts of the home). We were able to seat 12 at the table for family dinners, which is lovely, and for my elderly parents who couldn't join us for hikes the porch with the view was fantastic. Here are bedroom breakdowns by level... MAIN: two bedrooms each with their own bathroom (twin w/ trundle in one and in the other one full bed). UPPER: two king bedrooms each with large master bathrooms, balcony, view. LOWER: two full bedrooms share a bath. One bedroom doesn't have a window and does have a large closet that's a dark and quiet place for a pack and play if you're traveling with a baby (but bring a monitor!). The other full bed has a great view. BOTTOM: no bedrooms but a large rec area with a large very nice sectional couch (not pictured) with recliners. Our teens chose to spread out sheets and blankets and camp out there so they could hang out in the very remote area instead of being in the twin bedroom in the heart of all the family action.

Great views
The how was big enough for 12 without being cramped. The house is actually 4 stories with all finished rooms. Kitchen had everything you need if you want to cook.
This house has a deck on each level with great views.

Fantastic views
We stayed here with our 4 kids, their spouses and granddaughter. We were 12 total.
1st. The house is even better in person and the vrbo ad should say that it has double basements. 3 family rooms with the and fireplaces.Room for everyone without feeling cramped.
Game room on the bottom level with a bath was very nice.
There is 2 masters on the top level with decks that have fabulous views.
2 bedrooms on the main level each with bath is great for someone who can't do many stairs.
The kitchen has every thing you need for cooking and the huge dining table fit 12 of us without a problem for meals.
Very nicely decorated with a nice mountain feel.
With that all said , a few of the shower curtain liners needs to be changed more often .
You will love the views this house has to offer with it 4 decks (a deck on each floor).

The view was amazing, and the space was great. The host Rachel was amazing, she was very attentive. However, there I was not very impressed with the cleanliness of the property. It seemed as if the if the cleaning crew only ensured that the guest had clean linen. Pet hair was all over the floor, on the furniture, and the throw blankets. In one of the master bedrooms the cabinets need to be repainted. Oh, and the cheap the shower curtains need to be replaced it was full of mildew. I notice little things like that due to OCD. Another downfall in the description it mentions that satellite/cable tv - not true. I had to use my Netflix and Amazon Prime to watch tv. No TV in the bedrooms. There is only one bed in the bedroom that states two double beds, however it is a twin bed with pull out trundle. The place is not ADA friendly. Lastly, the furniture needs to be replaced, perhaps with leather to help reduce germs. In other words, the place needs a deep cleaning, and few minor make overs. Other than the issues mentioned the view was amazing and the layout was outstanding.

Great view
The views from the property were amazing and the space was great. However, as other recent reviews have stated, the property could use a serious deep clean. There were cobwebs all over the tall ceilings and beams in every room, closet, etc. The bedding, bathroom, furniture, etc. was clean but the overall feeling of the cabin was impacted by all the cobwebs and the beautiful view out the large main window was obstructed by cobwebs as well.
Additionally, we ran the dishwasher the first full day we were there and it leaked. I contacted the contact number and email we were provided and never received a response during our stay or at the time of this review.
Due to the amazing location, views, and layout of the home, we would likely stay here again, but a few things certainly need to be addressed.

Plenty of Space
Plenty of space for 5 adults and 5kids. The master bedrooms are located upstairs and both have beautiful bathrooms and private balconies. Wonderful kitchen and plenty space to spread out of three additional floors, would rent again

Looks are deceiving!!
We love the location and the house but it needed to be cleaned up and exterminated!! We found several clusters of termites throughout the home which made it uncomfortable to be there being OCD!!! Several spider webs throughout the home and on most furniture! I expected it outside of the house not inside!! Other than that it would have been great!!!

Great Golf Get Away
Five of my friends and I really enjoyed staying in this cabin. It was perfect for our golf vacation and in a great location a mile away from Sky Valley Golf Course. Just about a half hour away is Highlands, NC with great restaurants and shopping. While there make sure you dine at Julep Farms in Dillard. You won’t be disappointed.
Our cabin was very clean (bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen were spotless). There was plenty of great room space to all be together to enjoy games and conversation. There was another game room in a lower level but we just stayed in the main floor. The view was beautiful.
Communication with our property manager was timely and helpful. Overall we had a great experience.

Great Golf Vacation
We were in Sky Valley for a golf get away. There were 6 of us and we were very comfortable for the three days we were here. The bathrooms and kitchen were very clean (which is important to me!). The property manager answered questions quickly and professionally. Overall, our experience with the property was a good one.

Wet vomit in the master bed
When we walked into the house we first noticed a dead bat on the stairs going up to the upper level. The floor in the kitchen looked as though it wasn't washed in a while let alone swept. The house was not clean. It is a large home, but it's not maintained. When we went to bed that first evening there was wet vomit in one of the king beds. It appeared someone got ill and the house cleaner just changed the sheets. The bed didn't have a mattress cover so the vomit soaked into the mattress. The pillows, sheets and comforter we all soaked in vomit. We contacted the property manager immediately (this was approximately 11 pm) and she first asked what we expected her to do this late in the evening. She started complaining about the property owner not purchasing mattress covers and that the home is very dirty. She told us where a key was located to get into the linen closet which was also gross. We ended up putting down towels on the bed and a clean sheet, but we didn't have a comforter and the pillows were wet from vomit. Over all this was the most disgusting experience I have ever had renting a property. The property manager would not answer any additional phone calls after the initial contact nor did she make any attempt to come the next day to change the sheets or address the problem. I would never recommend this property or any other property managed by this owner or property manager.

Great place for a family vacation.

Decent place to vacay.
The stay was great. Everything that we wanted to do was in close proximity. My only complaints was, 1. there were
a lot of old spider webs everywhere and it really needed to be dusted. I don’t have bad allergies but most of my family do and they suffered quite a bit from it. 2. The owner must have been there right before us because there were unwashed clothes in the closets designated for guests instead of locked away in the private closets. Just don’t want to be blamed for anything that wasn’t done by us. Otherwise, it was a nice stay.

Perfect Spot for an Unconventional Family Gathering
My family and I rented this property for a long weekend to celebrate our son's virtual graduation. We enjoyed the large, well equipped kitchen and the beautiful views. The listing does not make it clear that there are four floors. The basement has a big entertainment area, but due to the multiple flights of stairs required to reach it we did not make good use of it. The lower level, above the basement, had a sitting room but the TV over the bar area was basically useless as we did not have any DVDs and it did not play other forms of media. Additionally, the washing machine was small and the dryer was not functioning. It required hours of our time to run the clothes through multiple times in order to get them dry. Overall, it was a beautiful home and we had a wonderful stay, but there are a couple areas that could use improvement either in the description online or by replacing dysfunctional appliances/electronics.

Pretty views
Great spacious cabin for you and your family. In the middle of nowhere but beautiful. Stores and such are within reasonable distance. Cleanliness could be bumped up a little , only thing I can recommend is new mattress and the addition of a hot tub would be awesome

Great place for a ladies weekend!
Great property to hang out with girlfriends. Well stocked kitchen. Great shared space while still giving everyone their own personal space. Only negatives for my group was fireplace is wood not gas and we could never get a fire started. Also wish there was instructions on operating TV and satellite.
