About this house rental

A lifetime of family memories will be made when you choose Brief Respite for your Deep Creek vacation. This lakefront chalet is close to the water's edge and within minutes of numerous area attractions.

Once inside you will find that modern furnishings grace the bright and airy Great Room, however, it is the spectacular lake views that will keep you in awe! A huge stone wood fireplace brings promises of snowy nights cuddled up and bonding with loved ones. A large 46" flat screen TV and a library of DVDs will keep everyone entertained.

The remodeled kitchen showcases gorgeous granite countertops and modern stainless steel appliances. Fully stocked, you have everything you need to make your family's favorite meals. Dine around the dining table and enjoy the lake views or take your meal outside and barbeque on the charcoal grill. Evenings and early mornings are best spent hanging out on the expansive wraparound deck where you can watch lake activities come to life.

A few steps up, you will find your Primary Suite which features a King bed, an oversized jetted tub, separate shower, a 32" flat screen TV and stunning lake views. On this upper level you will also find two more beautifully decorated bedrooms with Queen Sized beds. A full bath with a shower stall only is also on this level.

The lower level Family Room is a warm and cozy area to hang out as you watch your favorite shows on the 42" TV. The adjacent game room is kept comfortable with a gas fireplace and the skylight and big windows allow the sunlight to perfectly filter inside. Playing on the air hockey table will be a favorite activity for all to enjoy. A pub table also makes this a fun hangout area for you and your guests.

The Primary Suite on this level offers not only a King size bed but amazing lake views and deck access. In addition to another full bath, you will also find your final bedroom with a Queen bed.

Outdoor fun is waiting for you whether you are relaxing on the porch swing and enjoying lake views or taking a dip in the bubbling outdoor hot tub. Just a short walk down stair step walkway you will find your dock slip. Our family vacation was a blast at Deep Creek Lake. There is so much to do being on the lake! Brief Respite was perfect for all ages. The house is well stocked and very functional. The views were amazing. I highly recommend this vacation spot and this house for a multigenerational family vacation.

Brief Respite was perfect for our Brothers Weekend. Great location with view and access to lake. Kitchen stocked with everything you need to prepare meals…enjoyed the hot tub during snow flurries experienced during our stay in early April.

The home was spacious and well-updated with a perfect lakeside setting. Would definitely stay again. Only negatives, which kept me from rating the Cleanliness score a 5, was the dishwasher had some mold in it which needs addressed and garbage disposal did not work which was a little smelly.

We booked this property for 2020 but due to covid we weren't able to travel. The property managers allowed us to move the reservation to the same week this year. The property was comfortable for 9 adults and one baby. It's right on the lake for those that want to fish. There's plenty to do in the area. The aviary at the Deep Creek Lake Discovery Center is great to learn about birds of prey.

The pictures of the house dont do justice how beautiful the house is. The house is very homey and clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with any cooking possibilities. They even have a crockpot, wire sticks for making stores and barbecue utensils. You only need to bring the food and seasonings you need. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub at nights. We enjoyed our bubble baths in the jacuzzi. We love making smores and cooking hotdogs in the fire pit. They have both gas and charcoal grill. We used the latter which we really enjoyed cooking burgers. We love the easy access to the lake. Although we're only a family of 5, I think 2 families can comfortably stay here. It is a home away from home. We can't wait to come back.

This beautiful home accommodated our Large family (4 adults 4 young children) perfectly. We enjoyed snowy winter weather by sledding with the kids on the gentle slope along side the house and quickly warmed up by sitting in front 1 of 3 fireplaces (1 gas, 2 wood). In the evening we also enjoyed a warm dip in the hot tub while the snow came down.

This is a great layout for 2 families. The location is great, about 15 minutes to Wisp and right on the lake. The lake was frozen and it was very cool to see the snowmobiles and ice-fishermen. The view of the snowy trees and lake from the house is gorgeous. With a few upgrades, this house could really be A+. It has really cheap polyester comforters on the beds, stained pillow covers (not the cases), dull knives, mismatched dishes, etc. The internet is terrible, and the land line doesn't work (they tell you to use it to call and check in/out). But overall, I would recommend.

The house is amazing. Cozy, comfortable, has the all amenities you need and more. Each room is spacious enough for you at night. The hot tub, fire pit and grilling area and all set up perfectly. Not one thing I would change. Definitely going to come back !

The deck is a mess. Really needs some maintenance! We could not go out on the dock without shoes. Also there is not one can opener that works in the kitchen.

We had a fantastic time at Brief Respite. The house is recently renovated. The kitchen is fully stocked. There are a nice assortment of games and movies. Plenty of seating inside and out for our two families. Convenient access to the lake and to town.
