Kemp's Log Home is located 1.5 miles from endless snowmobile trails - Leave right from the home with your snowmobile and groomed cross country ski trails; 3 miles from beautiful Chassell Bay featuring swimming, convenient boat launch, volleyball court, basketball court, horseshoes and fishing dock. $25.00 per night per pet fee maximum of 2 pets.

Radiant in floor heating!! All linens, dishware and robes are provided.

First, this "cabin" is nicer than my home! It is beautiful inside, well furnished with quality furniture, and has everything you need to make your stay perfect. Even has a jet tub in the master suite. Everything about the property is magnificent. The host is exceptional, and she made sure we had everything we needed, responded VERY quickly to emails and texts, and is super easy to work with. When we head back north again, we will plan on booking to stay at this property again. Literally perfect in every way!

The home and large property welcomed us with all of our needs :)! Very spacious, comfortable beds, comfortable couches and cozy fireplace. The full moon was an added treat as we enjoyed our time by the fire outside :)

Beautiful house and property. Nice and quiet. Good variety of bird species around the property. Beds were comfortable. Well stocked kitchen utensils and cookware. Close enough to Houghton to get anything we needed easily.

This home was perfect for our first family vacation to the upper peninsula. It has everything you need to enjoy your vacation. We toured the copper mines, visisted Copper Harbor and did lots of hiking. And on the rainy days we stayed in the cabin and played numerous board games, did puzzles and watched some tv. The cabin is beautiful, clean and has lots of room for everyone to enjoy. We are already planning another vacation to the U.P. and plan on staying here again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

We stayed here for a graduation weekend. Had a great time, would love to stay here again when we come up here again! We had 5 adults and our dog. Plenty of room to spread out. TV was well explained. Loved the yard and front porch!

It’s been my mother’s dream to rent a cabin and get the whole family together for a holiday. It’s been a long time since we were all together so we did our best to get the entire family there for the day. We rented the cabin for a few days over thanksgiving and it was perfect. Beautiful cabin, a lot of dishes available, great yard! Even my dog was happy with the cabin and yard as she could run around and burn off her energy as well. I would absolutely recommend. Our host was fantastic and responded very quickly! I will stay here again.

This property was conveniently located in Chassell, where you can drive to Copper Harbor and spend the day at Fort Wilkins or commute in the opposite direction and head over to Ironwood and visit Copper Peak and Stromy Kromer's and purchase a hat or two. Our stay was strictly for a summer family vacation that included copper mine tours, hikes to the waterfalls and beaches, and looking for agates and Yooperlites, as well as the other previously mentioned sights. Sandy was extremely attentive and responded quickly to emails. Photos of the home do not do it justice. The home is very cozy/comfortable. We appreciate the use of your home for our awesome vacation of 2023!

Our stay at Kemp’s Country House was perfect! The log home is beautifully kept and furnished! It truly provided a home away from home during our visit at MTU. Great location within 15min to MTU and Houghton. Had everything our family of 5 needed and more! We will definitely be back!

The dwelling is exactly as reflected in the pictures and very clean. It’s secluded and nestled in wooded acres that worked well for our dogs. The location was also, perfect for our daily excursions!!! Our family loved it and are planning to stay again in the fall.
