Perfect crash pad for two guys sailing at SDYC, spouse dropped in for two nights. Good kitchen and laundry, and easy walk to SDYC. Driveway is on steep hill, so not for the faint hearted driver! AC worked great once you set thermostat to your needs.

Location, property, and amenities are great. The only problem was the extremely weak A/C downstairs in the living room and kitchen that had us all hanging out in the bedrooms during the summer days.

I found 6 things to love in this house- 1. The Rear (lower) Patio with comfortable seating, a gas fire feature, BBQ & it's almost walled in with bushes & trees creating a private space. 2. The Front Patio is like a porch in that it's open to the front street & also views of SD & the harbor. 3. The Kitchen has very attractive cabinets & the sink window looks out on a counter-level planter creating a fun experience. 4. The Rear (upper) Patio has a shade cover & spa & even though it's outside, it's quite private. 5. The Master Bath has a two person shower & one side also has body jets that emerge from the wall. 6. The extension of the Foyer from the front door to the rear glass doors has a lowered ceiling just the right height that architects seem to get perfectly right. All in all we had a delightful stay, made even better by the fine host.

My family and I enjoyed staying in this home for our SD
vacation. The location was great, and we loved the views,
especially at night. A couple of cons..... there were ants in a few areas of the house, including the kitchen and bedrooms. The one thing that would prevent me from staying here again is the bedding. It was terrible in the primary with cheap, scratchy sheets. All the other beds were just as bad with very heavy comforters that probably had not been washed recently. Simple fixes for the owner. Get some nice bedding and have the exterminator spray regularly and this property would be so much better!

We really enjoyed the amazing views from this house and the central convenient location. We did a lot of different things without too much driving. We also had some nice walks from the house. The pictures and description matched our expectations. Hosts were friendly, generous, and communicated well. Would absolutely stay again.

This property is in a great location if you want to take advantage of all the things (Zoo, Seaworld, Coronado, Sunset Cliffs, Cabrillo, etc.) Great views of the San Diego skyline from the front deck and family room.
Overall, the house is great, but would recommend a few things to make it more comfortable such as more washcloths, more clothes hangers, sink hole covers for the master bath, and more throws for the family room.
Finally, as some other guests have mentioned, we did have a problem with ants in the guest bedrooms and upstairs hall bathroom. We found a big bottle of ant spray and took care of them ourselves (the host did offer to send someone in to spray) but we battled them off and on during the stay. There are large shrubs right up against the house and the ants are using it as a highway to the house.
On a positive note, we enjoyed the hot tub, the kitchen is very well-equipped, and overall the house is comfortable and the host was responsive. All of the minor inconveniences were overshadowed by the great location of the house - and the spectacular views.

Took the kid to his freshman orientation and stayed in the heart of San Diego in this lovely home. Very accommodating, comfortable and middle of everything, great views day and night, beach play, activities, ocean love, great food all around and 15 mins to the college. Go Aztecs! Would love to stay here again and again.

Wedding in Coronado
Outstanding location, safe and easy walking distance to Shelter Island. We were 15-20 minutes from Coronado, Balboa Park, the Midway and Cabrillo National Monument. The airport is even closer. Excellent views of the harbor, North Island and downtown San Diego. We very much enjoyed the hot tub. The house is spacious and comfortable. I would have given the property a five star rating, but there was an infestation of ants in the kitchen and bathrooms. The owner sent an exterminator the next day once notified, but ants were still present the morning we left. Also, the icemaker didn't work nor was attended to during our stay. I would choose this property again.

Amazing!!
The views from this beautiful home are amazing. The house was big enough for three adult couples with plenty of room for everyone. The hot tub was a great plus. The location is the perfect pivot point for all the best locations in the SD area. Communication with the owners was seamless and easy.

Luxurious Home with Amazing Views
Our family spent an enjoyable week at Laura and Raj's beautiful home up on the hill with great views of San Diego Harbor and downtown. The neighborhood was quiet and had convenient access to multiple restaurants and markets within walking distance. The Bessemer path along the water is a short walk from the house. Beach access is a few minutes away by car. Every night we enjoyed the city views while relaxing in the hot tub. The accommodations were luxurious, with comfortable bedrooms and a high-end master bath. Laura communicated with us regularly and made sure that we had everything that we needed. In short, our stay was perfect!

Beautiful home!
We loved our stay at this beautiful home in La Playa. The owners were very responsive and great to work with. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved sitting outside by the fireplace and the hot tub was a great addition as well. All three of the outdoor areas were so nice to enjoy the amazing weather. We had never been to this part of San Diego and it was fun to explore a new area. The neighborhood is beautiful with amazing views. We would love to go back soon!

My friends and I vacation every year and always book a VRBO for the trips. This house in San Diego is by far our favorite house! The house is so clean and the furniture is comfortable. Amazing house with an amazing view
The view was phenomenal. All of the outside areas were great- well designed so that you don’t feel like you have such close neighbors. We enjoyed the spa every day. The sofas were comfortable and there was plenty of seating for a family of four. The king bed was not comfortable for the age 50ish parents but the teenagers were fine with their beds. The host (Laura) was responsive and helpful.

Perfect Vacation Home
This house was perfect for my family of five. The views of the sun in the morning were absolutely breathtaking. This home has multiple outdoor living spaces—complete with a fire pit and jacuzzi so everyone in the family had enough privacy. Laura was such a gracious host and her home was well appointed with everything that we needed to make a full Thanksgiving dinner. Our family enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to SD and this home.

Wonderful view
This is a very comfortable property located above Shelter Island with a beautiful view of downtown San Diego across the bay. The mountains in the distance showed themselves during our week long stay as well. Closer to Mission Bay than downtown but easy, direct access to the highway. We enjoyed to the two deck locations, the music system in the living room, the fully equipped kitchen.

First time in SD
This was a great location for our first (but not last!!) visit to San Diego. We loved exploring the neighborhood on foot and loved that we were only a short drive from everything we wanted to see. The house is clean and the kitchen is well outfitted if you want to eat in. And the hot tub and outdoor fireplace are lovely!

Great getaway
Had a great few days here. Laura was very easy to communicate with and very kindly let us get into the property early as we had arrived into LA at 6 am. The house had everything we needed and was in a great location. We had great fun playing the game “Say Anything”. We need to buy this and take it back to Aus. Thankfully the beds were very comfortable as we were very jet lagged. Overall we had a great family getaway here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to rent in San Diego.

Loved our California respite!
Started every morning with a beautiful walk along the harbor. After exploring San Diego during the day, this home gave us a place to relax and unwind on one of it's three decks/patios. San Diego weather and this home did not disappoint. We would highly reccommend it to anyone.
