Had a great time, there was plenty to do, so much that we didn't get to most of the games we planned to play. Heated pool, bed rooms, kitchen, great room and the outdoor space were all you could need. The property care takers were very helpful and nice. Don't worry about the drive there, just listen to directions from the property, not Google.

Beautiful place to stay with things for everyone to do. Steve was great in answering questions before our stay and Dave was so awesome during our stay. The pool, lake, and other activities were a lot of fun. Perfect for a large group. Would love to return again!

Our family reserved a week at the lodge for a family reunion and it was fantastic. Location is spectacular, the grounds are lovely, the lodge spacious, clean and convenient. We absolutely loved the swimming pool and hot tub, and spent hours every day in the lake enjoying the paddle boards, kayaks, canoe, raft, etc. Back at the lodge there was so much to do from horseshoes to ping-pong to pool to golf. What a magical place!
The caretaker Dave was wonderful and could not have been more helpful.
One complaint: we felt that the listing was unclear about some things and I suggest that potential renters check with the owner about the amenities you care about.

We came here to the Lazy H ranch in June of 2024 with our family, ranging in ages from 1-64. It was truly incredible. Bright spots were the heated pool, horseback riding, hot springs, and star gazing. Truly an amazing trip.
5.0 / 5.0
Our group loved our 5-night stay at Lazy H! We were a group of friends centered in Boise who wanted a group vacation to relax and rest.
Our highlights:
-Spacious enough for everyone to work on projects or have time by themselves while also allowing space to have group activities.
-Great amenities - the pool and hot tub, the well-stocked commercial kitchen with commercial fridge. The icemaker was awesome!
-Adequate seating for meals
-Everyone loved having a private bathroom in their own bedroom. The beds were comfy and the rooms larger than we expected
-The outdoor activity and relaxing options. Nice walking areas, we fished in the pond (catch and release), and some of our folks even took up the amazing groundskeepers up on horseback rides (an additional cost for those who chose to, very reasonably priced!)
- The friendly donkey (Eeyore) who almost everyone in our group took a picture with!
The only challenge we had was that the cleaning crew was given a different date for our check in, so half of the lodge wasn't ready for us and the pool wasn't filled (nice to know they clean between stays!). We are an easy going group so not being able to access bedrooms for an extra few hours wasn't a big deal to us.
We're already deciding on dates for next year!

We had our destination wedding here. The entire trip was perfect. The property is in the most amazing location. There are endless activities for everyone to do. The rooms were great and plenty of space for the 40 of us that stayed there! I highly recommend for any wedding, family reunion, or just trip with friends/family. Everyone was asking when we were coming back as we were packing up! The host was great and easy to communicate with and Mike and Amity who live on the property are amazing.

This was an amazing place for our family reunion! Our family of 30 had plenty of space to spread out, both in the house and on the property. The listing was accurate as to amenities and the host, Steve was very responsive to our pre trip questions. The best part of our stay was the extremely helpful on site property manager, Mike and his wife Amity! It was an unexpected perk to have someone right there to answer questions about the area or help when we needed extra supplies. This is a truly unique property and experience!

This was the 5th year our group of industry retirees got together, we had 21 of 25 friends who planned to go actually make it. Merlin and the staff were invaluable in making our stay so enjoyable. The beauty of the location defies description. The ranch is equipped with many amenities for various activities and the pool filled with hot springs water great. The road to get there is “the road less traveled” but a wonderful experience awaits you at the ranch.

We rented the lodge for a destination wedding and couldn't be happier with our choice. The city of Atlanta is absolutely gorgeous and the views from the property are breathtaking. There's everything you could ever want to do on the property. Everyone loved their stay and kept telling us this was the best weekend ever. The grounds keeper, Merlin, was very helpful. He went above and beyond to help us set up for the wedding and helped with anything we needed during our stay. Couldn't recommend more!!!

We loved the ranch. The accommodations were spectacular, the pool was great one it was cooled down a little. Great dinners on the porch with a view down the meadow at the Sawtooth Range, what could be better. The "ponds" were a little disappointing. The Middle Fork of the Boise River however was spectacular.

Seriously the best of the best. The property is insanely gorgeous. The house and the kitchen were so perfect for our family and friends to gather and enjoy each other’s company. Merlin was amazing and so helpful, he even helped my aunt fix a flat tire. I could go on forget about this beautiful place and the amazing people who run it. I will be always be grateful for them helping facilitate my dream wedding in the mountains!

Amazing, Awesome and many other words I can think of to describe this place. Plenty to do and lots of room to do it.
Hiking, Hot tub, Swimming, Water Volleyball, Tennis, Basketball, Breathtaking Views, and so much more! Went to the river and went Cliff Jumping !
Like it says on the description "Just show up and have fun!"
There was something to do every day!! With so much to do we never left the place!
I told Steve (the Owner) that I was probably going to ask a million questions and he answered all of them quickly and said
"Keep them coming." Merlin ( the groundskeeper)
was alway there with a smile and info on the area and helped us out with anything we needed!
This is an AMAZING PLACE to reconnect with Family!!!

Our family of 43 had a wonderful family reunion week! The lodge is big, beautiful and great for gatherings. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen is great, lots of fridge/freezer space and a huge ice maker. The caretaker, Merlin, was AMAZING! We had a plumbing issue but they worked to fix it as quickly as possible. Highly recommend renting a side-by-side from Jason up the road so you can explore the area.

Middle of nowhere..... And amazing!
Atlanta is tiny and the perfect setting for this property. The dirt road in is at least 2 hrs long but as long as you're prepared for that its lovely. The property and house setup are AH-MAZE-ING! We have multiple families that we travel with each year and we love to hang out in the common areas together... But it's really nice to have your own room and bathroom and spot for quiet time when needed.
Highlights of the trip were the lake (catching frogs, snakes and tadpoles, swimming, canoeing and lounging on the dock), midnight pool swim under the stars, kickball, hiking, volleyball, shuffleboard, making ice cream, and shooting (off the property... But there are great spots close by). Bring lots of sunscreen and bug spray.
The kitchen is really huge and fun! We loved the ice cream maker and made at least 4 batches while we were there. The huge ice maker made it easy to get all the leftover fridge stuff back in the coolers for the long drive home.
One of our family members had to fly out mid week and a plane came right to the property and picked him up... That was convenient and fun for the kids to watch.
Merlin and Steve were both lovely to work with. I would absolutely book this property again!!!

Family wedding getaway
After reading reviews I knew that I didn’t need to worry about having my wedding here. The photos do not do this place justice! The rooms are extremely spacious, the main hangout area is absolutely huge, and the kitchen gave so much room to cook for us all. Merlin was extremely helpful and Steve was quick at responding. This location was perfect for a small wedding and providing so much to dance, drink, have fun, and take beautiful pictures. The hot springs fed pool and hot tub was a huge hit, it had people in it every hour of the day. We’ve already planned to come back for our anniversary.

Corporate Retreat
We had a great time! Plenty of space to spread out, but also a great place to gather together. The road in was crazy, but that what you get in the winter. The pool and hot tub were great to sit in and watch it snow. The house was laid out like a hotel so everyone had their own space. As soon as we left we wanted to come back. We definitely will come back!

New Years Stay
Overall experience was great. Some issues during the deep winter such as no internet, room heater malfunctions, and occasional water malfunction due to pipes freezing. Had an encounter with some bugs (bed bugs) in one of the rooms, not sure if coincidental but something to keep in mind and maybe ask the owner about. Overall really enjoyed the lay of the home, living room setup, and kitchen spaciousness! Probably an amazing experience for the summer, not the best for the winter. Again my opinion, I could be biased.

Fall wedding out of a Fairy Tale
My beautiful wife and I picked this location for a destination wedding earlier this year after a search for venues that would host approximately 50 people. We had some reservations about seeing a place for the first time just two days before the big event, as we live in Oklahoma and our entire group was spread out between Oklahoma, Chicago and Kansas City. As we read through the reviews, we thought we might be getting scammed or reading reviews of people that were paid off to write such glowing and elaborate sonnets . Surely this place couldn’t be that amazing… Right??
Wrong. From the moment we arrived on the property, all of the reviews made perfect sense. This place is literally heaven on earth. We are not world travelers by any means, but We've been some places, and this is easily one of the most majestic places in the entire world.
Steve was amazing and accessible with the numerous questions we had leading up to the event. The caretaker Merlin was kind and immensely helpful.
Make sure to have time to appreciate the views at sunrise and sunset as well as go away from the house at night for otherworldly star gazing. We had a blast hiking around the huge property, playing volleyball and soaking up the views. The rooms were ample in size and very clean. The commercial kitchen is fantastic for events.
The reviews, including this one, may seem over the top and hokey. They aren’t. This place is hard to comprehend and the pictures absolutely do not do it justice.
If you are thinking about this place for whatever event you have planned.. DO IT!! You will have the best time of your life and then write yet another 5 star review like us.
We WILL be back, and hopefully sooner rather than later
Matt and Colleen

Spactacular setting for a real getaway
Few places can compare in terms of having a expansive, stunning property all to yourselves. River, natural hot springs and miles of trails all are right there. The lodge is comfortable and fully equipped. It was perfect for our family reunion. The caretakers on site were very helpful. The two hour drive over unpaved roads is somewhat challenging but the reward of having an entire world to yourself is more than worth it. There are no stores in the area so bring all your food. The one restaurant in town is charming.

Beautiful Property for our Small Wedding!
My husband and I rented the Lazy H Ranch for our small wedding and couldn't have asked for a better location! All of our close family and friends were able to stay at the property for our wedding weekend and loved it! From the spring fed pool, natural hot spring access and hot tub to the stunning views of the mountains all of our guests had so much fun exploring! The field outside of the house was the perfect location for our ceremony and the guests loved dancing under the stars at night! Choosing this property for our wedding far exceeded our expectations, it was such a special place to celebrate with everyone!

Carlson Family Reunion: Total count:46
Everything about it was wonderful. First, and most impressive, the owner, Steve, was very response to any changes we requested, for example, the hot tub and pool were too hot for the small children; we let Steven know and he took steps to correct it within the hour. Another example, which was even more important. Because we had young children in diapers, unexpected accidents happened that soiled multiple outfits. (Mom's can plan, but not for somethings.) Steve was very gracious of open the Landry room on very short notice to let us wash the infants clothes, which was a life saver and make the visit pleasant for all of us. (He even gave us tips on hte best roads to take to get there.) Second, the maintenance and grounds people, Marlin and Jay and Jacqueline were marvelous; they were friendly and helpful, when we asked, they gave us recommendations and also would fine tune things, like the timing of the sprinklers coming on and off so we could play soccer and frisbee. Jacqueline provided a map and tips for fun things to do and did most of them. (We maybe should have gone into town more, but the property was so great, we just never wanted to leave.) it was a delight have them there and the help they gave was great.
Another great thing: the property fit us all with no crowding. When he says it will sleep 50, that is correct: it will sleep 50. The property is so large that we could play outside in the lake, in the pond and in the pool and never felt crowded once.
The kitchen was well equipped and marvelous.
We are very glad we stayed there and would consider it again for a future reunion. (We wish places like this were easier to get to.)

Christmas Paradise
A Christmas to remember forever. A fabulous place to spend Christmas, from the Christmas weather, scenery, snowmobiling, 4 wheeling, sledding, snowboarding, hiking and much more. Everything from enjoying the beautiful Christmas tree while enjoying everyone’s company, to the chefs kitchen to spend time cooking and hanging out. The hot springs pool was a great place to relax during the day or at night, when it was sunny or snowing. The drive to Atlanta in the winter is longer than other times of the year, but a beautiful drive. Beaver Lodge in town is a great place to have lunch, dinner, or just hang out and have coffee or drinks. Thank you, Steve and Merlin, for making it a wonderful holiday and vacation.

I went here with my grandmother, parents, brothers, sisters-in-law, nephews, and some friends and we had a fabulous time! The age ranged from 3 - 88 and there were activities for everyone! The house is expansive with enough sitting area for everyone to be together and play games or spread out and have some peace and quiet. We had some epic soccer battles in the lawn, hit some golf balls, and enjoyed the hot tub and pool every single evening. We took walks every day and my nephews loved interacting with the horses and donkeys on the property. The kitchen was well-stocked and spacious. We spent most mornings gathered around the kitchen island chatting and having coffee. Merlin, the caretaker, was great and even supplied us with some eggs when we were nervous about running out! This was definitely a vacation that we will never forget!

Great family reunion experience!
We found a little bit of Paradise at the Lazy H Ranch. Our stay was filled with fun sports activities and the relaxing ambience of the outdoors. The children had a lot of freedom to explore...bike riding and hiking. There were many great family adventures...swimming, cliff jumping, hiking to hot springs, fishing, and finding polliwogs. Best of all it was a way to concentrate on being with loved ones. Thanks for sharing your place!

Great family get-away!
It is difficult to find a property large enough for our family and this lodge fit the bill perfectly. Everyone enjoyed it to the fullest remarking that there was something for everyone all the time. No one was ever bored and it was nice to be in one place without having to travel to be engaged in activities. The family especially enjoyed biking, the pool, hot pots after dark, and surprisingly the pool table. Thank you for making this awesome property available for our use.
Sincerely Linda

The Amazing Ranch in Atlanta, ID
We had the absolute best time during our week-long stay at the Ranch in Atlanta, ID! The property is truly incredible (even more so in person!!) and the Ranch was perfect for our 50 guests. There are so many activities to choose from on the property and the natural hot spring pool was a big hit! We actually got married on the property with the mountains in the background and danced under the stars all night on the lawn. We are so grateful to have found this gem of a place for our special week :-) ALL of our family is already talking about when we can make the next trip back happen. Thanks for an unforgettable stay!!

Best Reunion Ever!
Thanks to this "Heaven on Earth", my children and grandchildren all concurred that this was our "best reunion ever"! It was in celebration of motherhood, as I turned 70 on the Fourth of July and was able to have all of my five children "home" again, with their spouses and most of their children. (We left the two toddlers home, which turned out to be a good decision, so that the three youngest grandchildren were all 8 years old and could all swim, jump cliffs, and in general, keep up with the teenagers.)
We loved being in nature in our own private space and having enough room to be together but not be crowded at all. Sometimes I had to ask, "Where is everyone?" Well, they were canoeing, horseshoeing, jumping from rocks into the river, playing tennis, observing frogs and snakes while canoeing, taking a nap, playing games, swimming, golfing, doing crafts, or sitting around talking and laughing. The younger kids even delighted in the 8 ft.-wide halls of the Lodge that were big enough to do cartwheels down! Happily, we spent many hours altogether, also, as we ate the delicious meals we took turns preparing, played volleyball games, had group swims, star gazing, played Family Feud, danced in the large meeting area, had family meetings, and even had "Chapel in the Pines" on Sunday for our Church service. Merlin, the caretaker, was a frequent visitor and felt like part of the family, and the owner, Steve, was a perfect gentleman to work with. Of course, we have recommended the property to several people already and wish we had the money to go every year, but this was truly a memory to be cherished by all. We took lots of video, that my husband will make into a film to relive over and over again. For those wondering about the various perils I wondered about, we felt completely safe there and never locked any doors, the road was fine, though you need to be alert to and steer around any rocks. We had a couple of "adventures" with two low-riding cars -- that were fully loaded--a punctured gas tank (fixed with JB weld) and a sliced tire. (We came prepared, as Steve cautioned.) Some of the things we were hoping to use, like ATV's, horses, and bikes didn't seem to be available, but it didn't matter, because we had a total blast. One of my personal favorite things was the delicious, healthy water from all faucets and no chlorine in the pool. It helped to make a directory and name tags for the bedrooms. We LOVED being together in such beauty.

One of a Kind
There is no other place both of our families would rather spend a week. There is something at the ranch for everyone. We missed walking to the BEND IN THE RIVER, about two miles upstream because of the Spring run-off, but everything was lush and beautiful ... Actually the fishing in the lower pond was not bad. Perhaps that pond could be planted with larger fish however ...
You now have a 14 inch Rainbow trout living in the upper lake. It was flushed out during the irrigation of the meadow. Our son-in-law picked it up and put it in the upper lake. How fortunate for that fish that he just happened to be walking by when it was gasping for water ....
We didn't have good luck with the TRAEGER SMOKER. I've tried twice and both times we were disappointed with the results ... Probably our lack of experience. We would LOVE A REAL GRILL ...
The canoe and paddle boards were a BIG HIT WITH THE KIDS. They played all day on them. The weather was actually very good for early June ... We were all expecting rain most days ...
MERLIN is a GEM!!! He is part of the culture of the ranch, we LOVE HIM .... We even visited BEAVER LODGE and met RUSS.
The chairs in his restaurant came from the ranch. ALVA gave them to him ... I'm sorry he has sold the BEAVER LODGE, he is also part of the culture of ATLANTA ...
We missed riding the HORSES ... That was a little disappointing .especially for the SPRINGERS. Julie has owned her own horse and we gave her lessons in ENGLISH SADDLE for three years in CALGARY when we served as MISSION PRESIDENT .... She LOVES RIDING HORSES ...
Your new couple seemed very pleasant. We invited them over for the PINATA AND WATER BALLOON FIGHT. Their kids fit right in and had a BALL drowning all of us ... They went home with bags full of candy ...
Thank you Steve for keeping ALVA's DREAM ALIVE ... He loves you for your efforts and so do we ..
Warmest regards... Wayne

perfect wedding week!
I couldn’t have asked for a better setting for my wedding weekend. We had 45 of our friends and family come and enjoy this great property. There was so much to do and enjoy everyday that nothing got old. Everyone took turns cooking in the great professional big kitchen. Spent hours in the warm pool in the evenings and played the many games (billiards and shuffleboard were favorites) the house offers. All our guests were comfortable. If there was ever an small issue the caretaker was a call away and *poof*, no issue.
They offered us table and chair rentals for our ceremony u def a gigantic tree in their big field overlooking the greylock mountains but we didn’t need them.
My parents are elderly, so the drive wouldn’t suit them. They and many others opted to take a small aircraft that landed on property and took less than half hour from Boise. The kids had a blast welcoming all the airplanes from the front lawn!
So incredible, can’t wait to reunite everyone there one day and renew our vows. Thank you.
