Everything was great!

The house was great, clean, comfortable, and what a view! Beautiful sunsets. The only thing we'd love even more is easier swimming access. There's a great dock to the water, but too high to get back in if you enter the water there. Climbing on the rocks is doable to get in and out, just not easy. Thanks for a great week! Would stay again.
4.8
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is great! The location is very nice and close to places we wanted to go. The week went fast as vacation tends to do.
4.8
Enjoyed a quiet stay with beautiful lake views. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The deck offered beautiful lake views and sunsets.
Our only disappointment was that swimming was difficult. Would have liked a ladder off the dock.
4.8
Everything about our stay was easy starting with the initial contact with the owner answering our questions to the day we left. The house was exactly as pictured and had everything we needed for our stay.

We had a wonderful time. The house was extremely clean and very well stocked. The owner was very attentive and answered us immediately with questions we had. The dock was great for our boat. The only negative was the driveway. We were told there would be room to back our boat and trailer in. That is absolutely not true. We have a 22 foot bass boat with a dual axle trailer. There is no way possible to get that maneuvered around. Luckily, Lock View Marina was right down the street and saved our vacation. Unfortunately, it cost us an extra $140.00 that we weren’t expecting, but so thankful they could accommodate us. All in all, great place just make prior arrangements for your boat.

Great place for a family vacation. We enjoyed seeing the osprey, having a dock for our boat, and a beautiful deck.
4.8
The house was very comfortable and clean. The view was beautiful, with jumping fish to entertain us as we relaxed on the deck. The location was very convenient to Seneca Falls, Aurora and the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property. Dave was a great host. Clear communication with him.

We absolutely loved our time staying here. We loved the outdoor patio and sitting out there. The dock was wonderful as well for fishing. Our dogs enjoyed the stay as well. The communication from the owner was fast and easy. We had a great time and our dogs didn't want to leave because they loved it so much!

I found this house while searching for our stay to join in the Wonderful Life festival. The house was spotless. The kitchen was fully stocked for all cooking needs. The bedrooms were comfy. I only wish there was at bathroom upstairs with the bedrooms. The downstairs was nice and roomy. The view of the lake was fabulous. We only used the deck for a little bit as it was chilly out. It will be great in the summer. But we certainly enjoyed sitting inside watching the sunsets and the birds. I highly recommend staying here.

We would stay here again!

Great property and location. Very relaxing space right on the lake.

The kitchen was well stocked. House was very clean. Beautiful views.
However, the bedrooms are on the 2nd floor, and bathrooms are downstairs. Not sure it stated that anywhere on the listing.
The house is difficult to find in the dark. The number on the house is covered by shrubbery and it’s not on the mail post.

Thank you for opening your property to us so we could enjoy a lovely anniversary weekend. It was so clean and just what we needed. My only wish is that we stayed one more day as our days were filled with things to do and I would have loved more time to sit on the back deck and read next to the lake!

The house was clean with a great view of the water!

We have stayed in three lake houses in the past 6 years. This was by far and away the best one. The bedrooms on the second level is the way to go. The views were great and everything you need is there. David is quick to answer any questions. Looking forward to booking next summer! Being a Seneca Falls native was a plus. We walked our dog in the village everyday and I got some nostalgia to boot. Even saw my cousin on the street one day. Great time!

House clean. Kitchen well stocked and we cook Alot. Deck was enjoyable. Fishing could be better. No one fault but weather. Location easy to get to. Beds comfy and clean. Furniture nice and well taken care of.
4.8
Nice place. Out of the hustle and bustle. Enjoyed the nearby Montezuma wildlife refuge. Beautiful deck. Liked that sheets and towels were provided.

This is the first time my family and I have been to the Finger Lakes. It did not disappoint. The waterfalls, breweries and wineries were amazing to visit. At night we just relaxed by the lake with the fire pit on and could not have asked for more. I would definitely visit this place again.

This was a great place for our week in the finger lakes. It was central to everywhere we went. The house was immaculate. The view was beautiful and it was a pleasure to stay there!

Calm lake environment with alot to do in the surrounding areas.

Wonderful property for a relaxing lake vacation. The home was beautifully decorated and well maintained. Loved the lake views and sitting on the spacious deck watching the gorgeous sunsets. Looking forward to returning next year.

David is awesome! House was clean, the view is amazing. I would recommend it and would like to come back before the year ends!

This was my first VRBO experience. It exceeded my expectations. We had everything we needed in this cozy home. We will definitely return.

Eagles Nest was perfect for what we were looking for….a quiet, relaxing weekend away on the water. The location was perfect and only a short drive to good restaurants and wineries. Although our stay was during the winter snowy weather, the view of the lake was still beautiful. It was great being able to bring our 2 dogs with us and they had a blast playing in the snow. The open floor plan was perfect for them to play and fetch their toys as well as for us to enjoy the views from any room of the house. We would love to visit again in the warmer weather and be able to enjoy the back deck and lake access!
4.8
We really enjoyed our stay.
4.8
We had a wonderful time and enjoyed being able to have our dogs with us. House was very clean and owner was very responsive when we needed an outdoor light replaced.
4.8
Our stay at this property was hassle-free. There are many well-done new updates such as the kitchen and bathrooms. I made a couple of dinners and found the kitchen to have everything I needed.
I did feel that the property is still in need of updates, mainly in the furniture / decor department. The living /bedroom/exterior areas lacked charm and seemed tired. There was one couch I would not sit on as it had a strong odor and many stains. The upstairs does have three bedrooms with double beds and the beds were comfortable.
The furniture on the outside deck was good, except for one double chair that was coming apart and had very old, stained cushions.
Overall, for the money, this is a good value.
4.8
The interior of the house was wonderful, open and had a perfect view of the lake. The kitchen was set with all cookware and utensils. The owner was great with communication prior to and during our 4 night visit. The owner was supportive in our request to keep the outdoor furniture out before putting it away for the season. Great for kids, dogs and families (but note both bathrooms are downstairs and all bedrooms are upstairs).
The disappointments were as some prior reviews mentioned. The outdoor cushions were covered in mildew and the furniture was in rough shape(a possible suggestion for cushions to be stored in a weatherproof bin and guests can take out if needed. It won't be foolproof but it would be helpful through the season). The outside entrance, porch and stairs had loose boards and really needed a paint upkeep. The safety concern about the loose board was addressed the day we arrived in a professional manner by the owner.
The strongest complaint we have is that for under $2 the owners could support their guests by providing dish soap, dish detergent and more than one garbage bag for the kitchen. Having guests who are traveling to relax and enjoy could enjoy their stay more if it was one less thing to remember to pack or pick up at the local store. Having guests provide their own laundry detergent and dryer sheets seems reasonable. However, supplies to clean the dishes would be really desirable.
Location of the home is on the highway, but clearly marked with lights leading down the driveway. The lake view is perfect. It's a central location to many hikes, wineries and breweries. We found eating in and cooking was more desirable as the restaurants were limited or less to our liking.
4.8
We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. Kept up well and very well equipped. Excellent location on the lake although the street is a little busy. I would highly recommend this property.
4.8
The property was clean, comfy and cozy, with the most amazing sunset views. Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a weekend away to relax and enjoy the area.
4.8
House and area just as shown clean and lake view beautiful. A few small details: no extra toilet paper, garbage bags, deck cushions moldy. Also the responsibility for trash pickup, cans brought to end of driveway (very steep) was not expected, mean age of quests 67.
4.8
We enjoyed a wonderful stay with a beautiful view. Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that was conveniently located near many locations.

Our party (five adults and our small dog) spent a wonderful week on Cayuga Lake in Aurelius. The house was as described; very comfortable and welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped to prepare and serve meals for our group, and the dining area was very nice . The living areas were spacious and comfortable. The outdoor deck was one of the highlights of the property and the sunsets were spectacular. The bathrooms, both on the first floor, were very nice, but there is no bathroom on the second floor (not a surprise, was as listed).
Regarding the stairs, they are somewhat steep but manageable if you take your time. Lights can be turned on at the bottom and top of the stairway, which definitely helped. The railings are sturdy.
The second floor was well furnished but was a bit warm, even with the air conditioning. Fortunately, there were portable fans provided in each room which improved our comfort substantially. The presence of closet space and a dresser in each bedroom was a plus.
One disappointment was that we were not able to easily launch our kayaks on the property. Again, this was not as surprise, as we had communicated with the owner on this. Fortunately, there were several community and state parks where we could get our boats in the water easily.
There is a number of things to do in the area. Members of our party played golf, kayaked, visited wineries, relaxed on the beach, visited state parks in the area, explored the town of Auburn NY, (the location of the nearest grocery store).
4.8
Highly recommend especially if you are traveling with a pup! This was the perfect lake house and property for us and our pup. The host David was very responsive and helpful. The house is super cute, clean and comfortable with all of the equipment/utensils needed to prepare a meal. The sunsets on the deck were amazing! The yard is also really sweet and spacious. The location is great, you are close to so many hiking trials and wineries. We are definitely keeping this wonderful gem in mind for future trips.
