Great place !

We enjoyed the comfort and historical significance of this condo. Check in with the keys and combinations was somewhat confusing. We needed to use the fire escape stairs and they were very poorly lit.
4.9
Great property, we had a family reunion and were able to use the Pavilion on the property for our family dinner. Some days parking was tough, lots of codes/keys to gain entrance.
4.9
The unit was very clean and well stocked. Getting in and out of the unit was difficult with multiple codes, keys and lock pad combinations. The spiral stairs were unyielding, my adult son slipped and fell down a few stairs while going up to the loft. He was not injured, but this unit is not for us with narrow spiral stairs and low ceiling walls around the corners of the rooms.

Condo in what used to be an asylum. Very unique property. The unit was spotless with plenty of room to spread out. Enjoyed having the boutiques and restaurant options in the same building. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed with coworkers for a conference- will for sure return again next year. Close to town- was great spot for morning coffee.

Went to Traverse City for a 4 day weekend with some friends. Had 6 people and the place fit us perfectly. If you stay here makes sure you go to breakfast in the lower level of the building, you wont regret it. There are also a bunch of cool shops in the lower level as well. Very Cool Place!

Great location and clean, comfortable place. We’ll definitely be back again soon.

We had a great time staying at this VRBO. We stayed here during a winter storm and it was otherwise very cozy and had all the amenities one would need. It’s also fun that it’s the old state hospital building. On Saturday morning, we took the elevator down to check out the shops and also have brunch at Red Spire. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to stay here again.

We booked a Thanksgiving weekend stay and it was the perfect getaway from Chicago. The property is well kept, kitschy, and comfortable. The spiral staircase is a really fun way to access the loft. The location is perfect with shops and restaurants downstairs and scattered throughout the village. We are at the the taco restaurant and Sugar2Salt for brunch and enjoyed the coffee shop every day. All of that within a short walk! This is our second time staying in the main building at the Village and our first in this unit. We will be back whenever we can!

We had a blast.... the location was incredible, so many things to do on property. We went to Left Foot Charley's Barrle Room, had a drink and a snack. Ate dinner at Stella's... absolutely incredible.... We use The Brew Bus for a private shuttle and wine tasting.. our driver Coop, was awesome.
Checking into the condo was a little difficult, but it was us too! We made it and laughed at ourselves a lot that we didn't get better about managing the doors and keys....
The Condo had everything we could have needed. Thank you... we will be back!

This was our first time visiting Michigan. This was such a beautiful place to stay. The building, the grounds, and the room were all amazing. It's in a good location, close to great food, Slabtown Burgers, delicious! Would love to stay again.

We all enjoyed our stay at the Spiral Sanctuary. The only hitch in our giddy up was getting to the rental the first time, but once we figured it out it was no problem. We all thought the beds were comfy, fans were available, everything was clean, the light switches we're all labeled and that was super helpful. Check out was nice, a shorter list than our usual experience, that's for sure!

Great experience staying there. Lacking ghosts👻

This property was an absolute favorite for all of us. The amenities, cleanliness, and aesthetic of this space were perfect! I will recommend this to anyone I know going to TC!

Fun place, nice location, we had a great time. Loved the spiral staircase.

Overall our stay was really good. It was nice to have some board games on hand and had a good impromptu few hours of fun games to play. We would visit again in the future.

Property was great, clean and great location

Great location. So close to shopping and restaurants. All the extra amenities were so appreciated. The extra stairs can be intimidating but were doable even with those over 70.

For traveling with grandparents and school-aged children, this was a great home base from which to learn about Traverse City, have great coffee and food and trails nearby, and easily explore the area by car and by the local free bus. Thoughtful details like labeled light switches, beach towels, and clear directions in the welcome book were appreciated by all. Comfortable beds kept us well-rested for all the adventures. Thank you!

Very clean and unique condo. Will stay again

The stay was pleasant. The managers had very detailed check in details sent out in advance. The place was spotless clean.
4.9
The place is great! We were very comfortable. There are a lot of stairs to take in to consideration if you have anyone with mobility issues. We loved being on the grounds. There's so much to do. We had brunch both days at Red Spire.
4.9
The property was in a great location. The loft hadn't been thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival as we found remnants of a bachelor party all over. The spiral stairs were extremely challenging as well as locating the key upon arrival after hours. Overall a pleasant stay despite its challenges.
4.9
The property was a great space and location for our moms getaway! Everything was clean and comfortable and all amenities were available for us to cook, shower and enjoy our time away very easily :)
4.9
Beautiful home base for our TC Easter vacation! Clean, roomy, and centrally located for all the sights we planned on seeing. We all had a wonderful time in our very spacious condo!
4.9
We love TC and come up a couple times a year. This is the first time we stayed at this property and the location was perfect. The on-site shops, restaurants, Saturday indoor farmers market, and close proximity to downtown were exactly what we wanted. Everything about the property and location exceeded our expectations and we plan to return again soon.

The condo was in great location for our weekend get away. We used some of the restaurants, the winery and shops which were so close and wonderful. Getting into the condo and up a spiral staircase and getting all of the keys and codes were challenging. The condo is lovely, spacious and well stocked. We would consider your place on another visit!
4.9
Great place to stay. Loved the location and convenience of shopping and restaurants.
4.9
We love trying new experiences and we loved our stay in the historical space. Lovely shops, restaurants, brunch and coffee experiences in the Commons. I especially liked the indoor Farmers Market on Saturday (winters)!
Space was well appointed and comfortable for our family of 4. Beds were comfortable (appreciated a King bed in the primary bedroom) and we appreciated 2 bathrooms for convenience. Kitchen had everything we needed and there is plenty of gathering and seating areas for dining and watching TVs.
Heads up that entering the condo involves elevator ride and stairs to the unit. We loved this but may not suit those who have difficulty with stairs...that said, my 80 year old mom had no problem visiting and climbing the circular stairs.
We would definitely stay again when visiting family in TC! Thanks for the easy communication and follow up!

We stayed at Carrie’s property for Christmas and it was a perfect set up for our family of four adults. The kitchen is spacious which allowed us all to pitch in with cooking/ clean up without being in the way. The shops downstairs have lots of nice options for gifts and we had Cuppa Joes delicious coffees every day. TC has great options for foodies and a nice local food Co-op. Highly recommend!
4.9
We were amazed to read about the history of the building, a long with all the little shops below! Perfect location as well, not too far from anything! We had a minor mishap with the code to enter on the first day, but they sorted that out as quickly as possible. I really appreciated all the hospitality and recommendations on places to visit and eat! We would absolutely stay here again.

We had such a blast at this beautiful historical condo. The loft was so cool and just perfect for 4 women. The hosts were very helpful and were easy to reach with questions, etc. The home was perfect for us! The grounds were awesome as well. I would stay here again.

Another fantastic vacation in Traverse City was made possible by having this beautiful rental property. The space was perfect for our family to socialize and rest after a full day. Carrie is responsive and informative. Highly recommend this property for any family with kids!

Great for families!
Beautiful condo exactly as described! Perfect size for my parents, my 2 young kids and me and my husband. The kids loved the little play room with all the toys set up in the walk in closet. Great location near a lot of shops and restaurants. Would absolutely come back again!
