Welcome to 'The Enchanted Lighthouse!! Come enjoy the sun, sand and sea in this OCEAN FRONT home in Bermuda Beach on Galveston Island! Just walk outside and you’re standing on the beach! All you can hear is the sound of the waves crashing into the shore! If you want to check in the same day you book your reservation, Vrbo requires us to approve this beforehand so please notify us and we will be happy to do so! We are located only minutes from the Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Water Park, Galveston State Park, the movie theater, the miniature golf course, the Airplane Museum and even NASA and the Kemah Boardwalk are close enough if you’d like to spend a day there! Marketing.Galveston.com shows a calendar of events. We are on the west side of the island and only minutes from the Strand and Stewart Beach. This home is located in Bermuda Beach. Jamaica Beach is just a few minutes' drive west and has a fairly new neighborhood pool. If you'd like to use their pool, last year the entry fee was $5 per person. They tell us they open the pool for the Spring/Summer season when the weather warms up. This home comfortably sleeps 14. Arrangements include one bedroom with a king bed and full bed and one bedroom with a full over full bunk bed (sleeps 4) and a queen size bed. The living room also includes a sleeper sofa that opens up into a queen size bed and a daybed with a pop up trundle that makes into a king size bed. There are two bathrooms upstairs and an outdoor shower under the house. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans and cooking utensils. It has a stove with an oven, dishwasher, microwave and all the comforts of home! Central A/C and ceiling fans throughout. The living room has a large flat screen TV and a DVD player. There is also a TV and DVD player in each bedroom. Our home has a wraparound porch. It is partially covered and partially sunny in the front and completely covered on the sides and back. We also have a wood deck underneath the house with an additional tiled sitting area. Our home is named from the 'lighthouse' that peeks up from the center of the home. If you turn the kitchen light on after dark, it looks like a lighthouse from the outside! Linens provided but please bring your own beach towels. Wifi and cable service can be unreliable in Galveston. We are sorry that we will be unable to guarantee that these amenities will be working during your stay and are unable to offer refunds for disruption of these services. A wow moment from the minute you pull into the driveway. We really enjoyed our stay and would come definitely come back again. The only thing that could make this place better is a swing or hammock outside to relax and enjoy the waves.

You are so close to the beach that you can hear and smell the water. We enjoyed the large deck that overlooks the waves and the large living/dining room for hosting classmates. The kitchen was just the right size and well appointed for our group.

We have stayed at several different places in Galveston. This is by far the best. View of the ocean is amazing and the house has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Property was clean and as advertised inthe pictures. Loved having the open lot to the left as it greatly increased our view. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Hosts were friendly and responded to questions quickly. Will definitely rebook this property next time we are in the area.

It was nice. View cannot be overrated. Its simply wonderful. Walking on the beach is pleasant. We stayed in the front room our entire stay.
Excellent outdoor dining on the Strand in Galveston. Back neighbors put a bit of a damper on roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over a small fire in fire pit.
I can only guess they've had issues in the past.

Great view and location. The house is very comfortable. The only very small issue is that the main bath shower needs to be addressed as the shower diverter is not working properly. Comfortable beds as well and well appointed.

Perfect little getaway at an amazing house. The house was so unique and decorated with such passion. You can spend a good amount of time just looking at all the decorations...goes so well with the whole atmosphere!! We loved it!!!

We stayed four nights over New Years which also is our Anniversary. Comfortable hangout to watch the sea, walk on beach and enjoy life. The public parking area was on beach in front but this time of year not an issue and made for some good people watching. Just steps to the right to be off the parking area.

Had to visit Galveston on a short business trip and decided to take family for a little r&r at the beach.Location was excellent, close to town but far enough away to also get some very relaxing evenings in on the great view, beach front balcony. Had one little issue and the owner was very responsive in resolution. We even stayed an extra day and enjoyed one last evening listening to the waves and walking on the beach. It is Texas, so do take your mosquito spray. Would definitely stay again. House was clean ,beds were comfortable.

October beach was much cooler temperatures, but we were able to get in the water. It was just cold when you got out for a minute. The property was awesome, the back porch was amazing.
The only thing I wish I had brought was pillows because their pillows are older, and the beds are not very comfortable, older memory foam.
Outdoor shower sprays over your head, but hey, THERES AN OUTDOOR SHOWER! Has hot water as well, which is amazing, but had to use a bucket to get the kids cleaned off. Please install a shower head to save water and be amazing!
Overall, super comfortable house, GREAT location! WiFi, TV, games all provided. Also, some leftover sand toys were already there. Pet friendly, but was very clean! I would stay here again, because you can go out for one hour, come back, and go back out. When you have kids that can be such a pain if you have to load up every time.

Long weekend stay with a group of 8. House was clean and exactly as pictured. Plenty of room for everyone. Great location & great ocean view from the deck. Excellent communication and easy check in/out process. We would definitely stay here again.

During our arrival, I noticed a few active ants in the dining and kitchen area, so I contacted the owner right away to see if there was any liquid ant killer available to put down to help control the situation. The owner responded very promptly, and I was able to locate some liquid ant killer and spray. I figured this was probably a consistent problem with being so close to the ocean and having sand all around. However, the ant problem persisted, and we eventually found ants in many parts of the home as our trip went on, including in between the couch cushions and in a bed. I tried to stick it out, because we did love that the house was so close to the ocean, but eventually, we decided to leave a day early.
As I said earlier, the owner had offered to send someone over, but I was reluctant to have chemicals sprayed around my children and our dog. We also didn't want to have to wait around for an exterminator to come, when our trip was short enough as it was.
Overall, we enjoyed our time at the beach and visiting around the Galveston area, but we won't be coming back to this location. Overall, the host was prompt in replying and did offer to send someone over, but we just wish that the ant problem had been proactively taken care of by cleaning staff or owners, so we could have enjoyed our time on vacation more thoroughly.

Exceptional getaway place! The view of the Gulf is tremendous...watched the sunrise every morning with a good cup of coffee. The house is clean, well-prepared for guests, and the bed options numerous and comfortable! Its location is fantastic...it is out of the normal public beach congestion, but still close enough to enjoy all that Galveston has to offer. I know where I'll stay next time I go back!

The house was set up well, couches and beds very comfortable. Never had an issue during our 7 day stay, A/C worked great !! Very entertaining to watch all the people come and go off the beach my son probably helped 20+ cars get unstuck in the sand. I’m not one for all the fancy new homes this older house was exactly what we were looking for we will be back.

The property and location was beautiful! This home was perfect for our beach wedding we had in mind. The owners were very kind and great at communicating. The neighbors were so friendly and the balcony was my absolute favorite place to do anything! We would definitely book this home again for any beach vacation.

I was so excited over this property. Everything was perfect with the house. So lovely to sit on the deck and watch the waves and family on the beach. All the cookware and essentials were there and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Plenty of towels, bedding was comfortable and plenty of room We had between 8 and 10 there at all times without any issues. My only problem was the driveway. Its such a steep angle and with the loose sand, my daughter could not get her car in the driveway easy. She was right at the road, my son's fan shroud bottomed out. But this did not put a damper on any of our fun. thanks again for sharing your property with us. It felt like home.

I enjoyed that it was more of a campy feel not new construction with everything all white. Being directly on beach was wonderful. Couple of things need fixing - main bathroom shower curtain rod would not stay up and 1 drawer front was not attached in kitchen. 3rd couch that I believe is the pull out bed could be replaced as it was not comfortable to sit on. I would definitely stay again. It feels more homey. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

This is a very cute beach house and in a great location,
however, it is in need of some maintenance such as deck railing and deck ceilings. Ants and flies were a real issue even though we made sure there was no food left out. This is a very small home and there are beds tucked in every corner so that fourteen people can be accommodated with sleeping arrangements although I can’t imagine that many people being in this house at once especially with two bathrooms, one of them being very small.
Also, take the owners very serious when they tell you to bring “necessities” such as paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, soap, dish detergent and dishwasher detergent…none of this was provided.

Such a cut property and very clean. I stayed by myself while my spouse was off fishing, then some friends joined me for the weekend. Close to town for dinner and such. I didn’t realize that the beach in front of the house was a parking area for anybody and everybody, but it did provide some good people watching. The shower curtain broke and the owner had someone there to fix it within an hour! My only negative is that it is a little shabby. The roof and posts on the porch have some rot and looks like there was a roof leak in the dining area. There aren’t any baseboards in the entry stairs and it looks unfinished. Probably just a few too many beach decor items everywhere too for my taste. But overall, a great getaway place.

Really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home right on the beach. Lots of space, very clean. Everything in the kitchen to make your own meals. The huge porch has a commanding view of the beach, which is just steps away. Absolutely loved our visit and will definitely stay here again.
