Host sent over detailed directions ahead of time which were very helpful. There is absolutely no cell signal (group with ATT, Verizon, and US Cellular, no one had any signal for calls or texts) or wifi. Beautiful location right on the river and the cabin was clean and comfortable.

It was a perfect location for peace and quiet, the property is well maintained and the host/hostess were wonderful.

The place was picturesque and serene. It does take a little time to drive to get to the national parks, but worth the time to stay there. No cell service but it is nice to unplug

This was my second time staying at Budges cabin and it was just as welcoming and beautiful as the first. Jane made sure we were all settled and had everything we needed to feel at home. The only thing bad is leaving! Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Stay was nice and relaxing. Grill and pre spilit firewood were nice. Had a nice time seeing the beaver and listening to the Pikas. Nice sunset from the bridge. Interesting area once you read about the boulder field you drive by. Kayakers can be watched doing whitewater at bridge also, which was interesting.

Direction to cabins were easy to follow - nice, neat, tidy cabin with great view of lake and osprey nest! A nice quiet spot. Wish I had thought to rent a paddle board before hand. Would def do this again possibly for more days and more people.

We absolutely loved this place! Peaceful and picturesque! What an amazing location! We were truly shocked at the beauty of this place. They have thought of everything. The cabins were situated perfectly to highlight the views.and provide privacy. We felt completely at home. We came to visit Yellowstone and Grand Teton national park but could have spent a week exploring right around our cabin and definitely wish we'd made more time for that. I will add that the beds are extremely comfortable after days of hiking and playing. This is a dream location for us.
We will definitely be back!

Just wanted to get away from all the crowds and this place was just what I was looking for. It was well equipped and clean. Communication was great and the advice of stopping for groceries before getting there was a lifesaver.

We fell in love with this property at first sight. Located just outside the Grand Teton National Park on a beautiful lake. We enjoyed the park during the day and relaxed on the covered deck in the evening.

We had such a great time staying at Budges Cabins. We wanted to be somewhere close to Jackson and the park but out of the chaos and this was the most perfect place. Very clean and stocked with everything you would need. The scenery was beautiful. We had such a great time. Will definitely be making this a yearly trip!

Loved the remoteness of the cabin yet close proximity to national parks. Cabin had everything needed for peaceful getaway. Kitchen was well stocked (kitchen ware) for those of us who to prefer to cook than eat out. Thoroughly enjoyed the wood stove. The lake view was gorgeous. Information owner provided for local activities was incredibly helpful.

Our only mistake was only staying one night. Gorgeous property, unbelievable views...I didn't want to leave. We will be back.

Some may enjoy the convenience of a resort with plentiful shops and eateries but if you're looking to seriously relax for vacation go off-grid. It gives you an opportunity to unwind, disconnect, and just enjoy the relationships with your family and friends. The teens didn't even complain about not having mobile or wifi!
Just a few minutes down a gravel road into Bridger-Teton National Forest you'll find this lovely, equipped cabin on lower Slide Lake. Within eye shot is a little bridge with water from the lake feeding a relaxing sound into the white water section of Gros Ventre River.
The owners are super nice and accommodating. Six of us stayed for three nights during our explorations and hiking of the Tetons. It's just a 20 minute car ride from the cabin to Moose Junction where you can find some groceries and 40-45 minutes to some of the best easy-to-moderate hiking the Tetons have to offer. While we were there for the Tetons as most may be, some of us would have been perfectly happy enjoying Slide Lake. We spotted a moose on the far side of the lake our first evening!
Our 2015 Sienna navigated the gravel roads just fine for this early summer vacation. The owners had provided everything we needed from clean linens, an equipped kitchen with a dish washer and coffee maker, grill with propane, to a washer and dryer. The temps at night were perfect for an open-window sleep. If we had to pick something to change it would have been light-blocking curtains for those that like to sleep in but the view from the master bedroom overlooking the lake was really too enticing to sleep anyway and the porch was perfect for a peaceful, early morning cup of coffee. We highly recommend Budges' Slide Lake Cabins!

Our stay at the Slide Lake cabins was wonderful. The cabin was very clean and well appointed. The owners are very responsive if you have any questions or concerns. This cabin is fairly remote. So if you go in the winter, you will need a four wheel drive vehicle. Once you get there, it is a beautiful, secluded winter wonderland !

We stayed in this cabin on a snowy weekend and it was a peaceful escape. The cabin remained warm with the wood burning stove and we slept very well in the king size bed that had a tempurpedic like mattress topper. The cabin was spotless and the owners were easy to get ahold of when we asked about the plowing of the roads. We really enjoyed the cold, fresh well water too. The view of the lake from the front porch was beautiful. Thank you to the Budges for hosting us!

The cabin was optimally equipped, clean, cozy, and situated in one of the loveliest settings we have ever experienced. Snow covered trees, trumpeter swans on the river, a lovely ice-covered lake, and solitude. An idyllic setting for us. (We even extended our stay by three days because we couldn’t bear to leave. )

The Budges are gracious hosts, and the cabin was equipped with everything we needed. Please note: it is up a steep, gravel/dirt drive with many potholes. We were very glad we had rented an SUV for this trip! We avoided navigating the road at night, but in May, the days are long so it didn’t get dark until around 9pm.The cabin is quiet and located on the lake. We enjoyed watching the beavers, ospreys, and marmots each morning and evening. The location is great for traveling into Grand Teton and Yellowstone. The scenery in the Tetons is absolutely breath-taking! Jane recommended fly fishing with Lucas Donaldson on the Snake River and it was one of the highlights of our vacation. Lucas was knowledgeable about fly fishing, but also about the area, history, and wildlife. We had a wonderful time on our day-long fly fishing excursion. As previously mentioned, the cabin is quite remote. The bedroom curtains are sheer, and on our first morning we were awakened by the sunrise at 5:30 am. Our only suggestion would be to install black-out curtains for those who wish to sleep later than sunrise while on vacation. (We visited in late May; I imagine this isn’t an issue outside of Spring/Summer). Otherwise, the view from the bedroom window is lovely. Please note: in late May it was quite cool at night and early morning: 40’s-50’s, so we were glad we had packed flannel shirt, long-sleeve t-shirts, layers for porch-sitting and morning cofffee. We would highly recommend Budge’s Slide Lake Cabins, and we look forward to visiting again one day.

Wonderful, peaceful getaway! Make sure to bring books, games and puzzles as this cabin does not have access to internet or tv. It is the perfect retreat for a family wanting to disconnect from the busy world. It was nicely furnished and very clean. Beautiful views and easy access to trails and fishing.
