About this villa rental
Villa Ceiba is one of Manuel Antonio's newer additions, completed in November 2015. This modern villa has stunning ocean views while surrounded by the peaceful jungle, with nearly 2 acres of privacy. Located in central Manuel Antonio, walking distance to the beach/nightlife! The property has direct access to the beach via a 20 minute Jungle walk (during dry season), where you will encounter the flora and fauna that Manuel Antonio has to offer! And year-round, you are able to walk to the best restaurants, grocery stores, bars, bus stops, banks, shops, cafes and local attractions.
Villa Ceiba has 6 beautiful en-suite bedrooms ALL with views of the Pacific ocean. The Villa is modern and clean, featuring an infinity pool overlooking the surrounding jungle and direct ocean views. The sitting area comes complete with a wet bar which upon your request can be pre-stocked to your liking. The house is carbon neutral and utilizes solar technology to offset the use of traditional energy.
The open concept floor plan truly gives you the feeling of being in the jungle. Both the kitchen and sitting room open up entirely to the pool and patio area. The master bedroom features a Japanese soaking tub with views of the surrounding jungle from its own private oversized balcony. All bedrooms, kitchen and sitting area have eco friendly inverter technology air conditioners along with ceiling fans. The bedroom located on the ground floor is accessible for the disabled.
Staying at Villa Ceiba puts you at peace with the wondrous noises of the jungle (all three species of native monkeys, toucans, sloths, frogs and many species of birds). And once you book, concierge services are included to help with whatever you need.
Note that all homes on this road have steep driveway access. 4x4 cars only.

Front the moment we started looking at Costa Rica Laura was unbelievable she helped answer all my questions and any concerns that I had. She help us plan a perfect vacation even during the rainy season from transportation to day trip fishing she rocked it all. The house was more than we could have ever hoped for. The view was picture perfect I can’t wait to go back

Our three families stayed at villa Ceiba from May 30 to June 4, 2024. We had decided to try Costa Rica out as an adventure, and villa Ceiba was the absolute perfect starting point. To begin with, Laura was the perfect host. We had groups arriving at two different times. This was no problem; she met and stayed with the first group until the later ones arrived. She had prescheduled several activities including the national park, a chef dinner, and zip-lining. Her arrangements allowed us to relax and enjoy rather than fretting over when and where to be from time to time. She was also available throughout our stay to help with questions about restaurants and other issues as they arose. The villa was fully equipped and met all our needs. The bedrooms were perfect for both adults and kids. The kids loved the pool. One of the highlights of the entire trip was the presence of wildlife in the surrounding forest. We had monkeys, sloths, and iguanas just close enough to enjoy but far enough away not to be a nuisance. Chef Robert prepared a wonderful three-course meal that everyone loved. The pictures portray the villa as remote, but in effect it is just next to the town of Manuel Antonio, and easily accessible by hard-surfaced streets. Much is made of the steep drive, but both our four-wheel drive vehicles made it down and up the drive with no problem, sometimes without even engaging the four-wheel drive. It is almost entirely paved with concrete. Villa Ceiba is truly a treasure.

Overall, was a pleasant stay. Thought the stay would have included payment to staff, so wasn't expecting having to pay maid service. The Chef was overpriced, but had nothing to do with the stay. It had a beautiful view and plenty of room for us all, although the kitchen was not air-conditioned which is not good during a heat wave! But overall, we all had a pleasant stay.

I don't know where to start! Laura Lyle's property here is absolutely amazing!!! My family and my childhood best friend from boarding school's family joined us here for another adventure and my birthday. We have traveled outside the country together before and this was by far our favorite place we have ever stayed. The property is absolutely magnificent, and Laura is there at a moment's notice whether its for reservations or beach recommendations. The housekeeper was amazing. Washing our beach laundry every day and doing the dishes and anything else we needed. I also highly recommend the chef...Chef Robarth was absolutely amazing! Without the amazing views, friendly people and gorgeous beaches - the food alone would be worth coming back! Highly recommend this home and we will definitely be returning!

We absolutely loved Villa Ceiba. Our extended family of 14 stayed in the home in December 2023. The house has spectacular views, a fantastic pool, a nice comfortable cool living area, air-conditioned bedrooms, and an amazing location. And best of all, we had the house manager Laura, who helped us plan and book our trip of a lifetime. All of her recommendations were spot on -- we loved every activity. Highlight was the private waterfall tour that Laura set up for us, but the ziplining and whitewater rafting tour were also incredible. Laura also helped us arrange rides down to the beach . . . this was never a hassle. Hikers took the nature path to the beach . . . beware this is definitely a 20 minute hike and not a gentle path! Most importantly, Laura patiently answered our many questions, and in general was able to help us with all of our needs.
Another highlight of this property is Chef Roberth. We had him cook meals for our large group several times during our week vacation -- the food was perfection. Highly recommend treating yourself to this service if able. But if you want to go out, Laura has great recommendations for this as well!
I do think this house is best for active families. The driveway down to the house is very steep. All tours leave from the top of the driveway, and to get there you either do a quick climb up or Laura transports you. For our family, this just added to the adventure. We all loved Villa Ceiba, and highly recommend the property!

Rough trip. Started the trip off with the manager Laura getting upset when a sliding door popped off the tracks fell out and broke by the pool. Shattered glass went everywhere around the pool. Laura accused my 9 year old daughter of some how forcibly knocking the door off the tracks. Door was not properly adjusted to securely attach to the track. No AC in kitchen makes cooking difficult. Also kitchen very hot, so the freezer/refrigerator don’t work well. Freezer didn’t make use, or keep bought ice frozen. The property is down a steep hill only accessible by 4wd vehicles, this limits travel and incurs significant cost to get around the city. I’d recommend shopping around for better properties.

We are a family of 14 from Texas and had an absolutely delightful stay at Villa Ceiba. The house was amazing! It fit us perfectly and the view of the ocean was wonderful! We saw 3 kinds of monkeys, sloths, macaws, toucans and iguanas from the back patio! Also the foliage and landscaping were fantastic- plants we had never seen before!
The best perk of staying at Villa ceiba was our remarkable hostess, concierge Laura Lyle. Her whole focus during our stay was ensuring we had the best vacation ever- and we did. She planned every activity, including zip lining, multiple beach trips, mangrove tour and waterfall tour. She also arranged transportation and thought of every detail. Her restaurant recommendations were spot on, but the best food experience was Chef Roberth! He is a culinary genius and our food was beyond compare! Not only was it super tasty, his presentation is true artwork!
We highly recommend Villa Ceiba! It was the most wonderful vacation of our lives! Pura Vida!!

The property is well maintained and easily accommodated our party of 10. Laura, the property manager was very helpful and help us manage all of our excursions and the services of an amazing cook named Roberth. The food alone would’ve been worth the trip and I would strongly encourage people to try him. There are a weeks worth of great excursions available and Laura seems to have access to the very best excursion operators. The property is located in an area with more than enough activities and restaurants. The pool is great to have after an active day.

The house… the grounds… the hostess… the monkeys ! All amazing. Laura is truly a hero hostess; she helped us plan our activities ( which were amazing), made sure our stay was perfect and even provided some medical assistance (thanks for the knee brace!)

Very nice house, but hard to get in and out of. Also, my son got sick so we had to leave early. But pleasant host and clean house.

We enjoyed our stay at Laura's. We all loved the beautiful view and the monkey and bird sightings- amazing!
She gave us some great recommendations and helped us get to where we needed to go. She was very honest when it came to the area and how the hills and steep roads can be challenging.
All in all a great host for these strangers in a foreign land!

We are a group of women who came to Costa Rica for a wellness get away. Villa Ceiba is spectacular. The view from each window is breathtaking. The home is spacious, clean and comfortable.
Laura is gracious , accommodating., and always available via text message when we had questions.

Wonderful stay! Laura was extremely helpful, set up all of our taxi rides and made a great restaurant recommendation to Ronny's! Called her late one evening due to one of the kid's having severe earache and she brought us up hydrogen peroxide! Very attentive to our needs and our constant changes in scheduling, in part due to being a large group- 7 adults 5 kids. Housekeeper was wonderful, there daily, kept up with laundry and cleaning. We saw macaws, toucans, and howler monkeys from the house. We even had a small monkey run across the porch one day and jumped across the pool as well all watched! Driveway is quite steep, definitely only 4x4 taxis. Laura assisted several times to give rides up and down for my father and mother-in-law. We never walked to the beach or to restaurants from there, as we had several small children with us, but is walking distance if you're in shape and don't mind the hills in the area! Overall a fabulous home to stay in. We enjoyed the pool several times a day. Air conditioner in each room, which we were mindful to turn on only when we were in the rooms and kept shades down to keep the heat out, morning through afternoon the front of the house gets a lot of sun, kitchen was warm but we kept fan on and it was fine! We enjoyed the beach concierge service as an easy way to enjoy a beach day. Laura seems to know every one and every business in town, and we felt so confident in taking her advice and recommendations on everything, also helpful as there was no language barrier in communicating with her!

The property was perfectly layed out. We truely felt like we were in the jungle while being close to everything. What most set this property apart was having Laura. 5 stars does not begin to describe her. Absolutely wonderful!

From inquiries about the property to booking to asking a billion questions, our experience was top notch! Pre-trip, Lori was extremely helpful and informative (not to mention patient) during the planning phase of our vacation. We had a group of 10, so there was much coordination needed, and she couldn’t have handled it better! When arriving at the Villa, our first impression was…just beautiful! The views are incredible, and the pictures of the property don’t compare to actually being there! Our concierge, Laura was fantastic. Absolutely anything we needed or had a question with, she was right there for us every step of the way. She kept track of our excursions and transportation, and everything else in between! We had the time of our lives and would absolutely come back to Villa Ceiba!!

We had a great time at Villa Ceiba. The entire experience was great. Prior to arriving, Lori helped book most of our amazing tours. Then Laura took over once we arrived. We had a group of 13, ages ranging from 7-77. Laura was helpful driving my mom up the driveway (very long and steep) to meet our tour shuttles. We also hired Chef Paige several nights. She made wonderful meals. We all had a fabulous vacation, sad to leave!

We were a large group (five families) and all loved the house. It was well equipped and Lori and Laura made the booking setup seamless. Could not have been better!
