Because my friend has trouble walking the property went above and beyond accommodating us with a room we could get to by ramps instead of the 3 staircases.
We were told when we booked at booking .com breakfast was included with our room. We had to pay for our breakfast.

I absolutely love this place!
Excellent location, staff, facilities and atmosphere. There are a large number of rooms spread out across the jungle property. I saw a white faced (capuchin) monkey and could hear the howler monkeys close by! There are three (or more?) pools on the property.
Selina is a chain of hotels (at least there is another one in Panama City) and they run their places so well. There is a welcome drink they provide at a set time so you meet others and they also have group activities, such as a free salsa dance class. Next to reception is the bar, and the place turns into a nightclub where many locals go to. My room was still quiet during those hours, so it was beat of both worlds.
The only thing that could be improved is the wifi signal at some of the rooms.

Do clima geral.

Loved our stay here! Perfect location close to everything including shops, restaurants, bus stop (that takes you to the beach in less than 5 minutes) etc. We stayed in their suite room and it was spacious, bright and had everything we needed. There was also a great outside terrace with chairs and a table and it feels like you're staying in your own house somewhere in the middle of the jungle. It was a bit outdated like other reviews mentioned too, but I thought it was just charming and appropriate. I also enjoyed the amount of stairs that other guests can be possibly unhappy about (you have to get your daily steps right), you don't need more than a very basic fitness level to tackle them really. Our room rate had breakfast included which was quite decent and filling enough. Not sure if it's because we stayed during the week or it's just a quiet season, but it wasn't noisy at all and we weren't bothered by anything. The wildlife is magical, we kept running into different animals and it was just so cool. The room is being cleaned every day and we were satisfied with the way it was done.
I do think the price is a little bit too high for what you're getting but it definitely is an issue with Manuel Antonio in general and other hotels are way pricier, so it's really not that bad. Our room wasn't exactly the cleanest, there were multiple dead mosquitos on the walls (as somebody probably smashed them prior to us) and they're just still there.. the staff were moody and did not really have any use or purpose unfortunately. When checking in we got 0 introduction into how included breakfast works and had no idea we needed to get the tickets from the reception before going to the restaurant, so there was a little bit of a confusion when we came for that very breakfast the next day. You can just see the staff didn't want to be there/didn't enjoy their job which is a pity! One of the night we came up to the rooftop bar and none of the people working behind the bar said hello or smiled which I found unwelcoming. I'm afraid if you have an issue or need help with anything you're really on your own. But these things are still minor and didn't ruin our stay.

We loved the common areas and the amazing pools on the property. We got to see monkeys, lizards and parrots just hanging out in the garden and the landscaping was great.
The rooms were very large and the bathrooms were quite nice.
The location of the hotel was great and it was perfect that many shops and great restaurants were within walking distance of the hotel.
We stayed in the unique rooms, which were very spacious but not decorated nearly as pretty as on the pictures. The rooms felt really cold and heartless compared to the images displayed by the hotel.
Also, the bedding in one of the rooms wasn't clean. There were orange spots on the sheets and grey/blackish stains on the pillows, which we assumed was mold.

Very bad! Lady that recommended us a tour next to the reception did a really bad job and send us to a wrong place. Rooms ugly and dirty. No value for money!

The many pools were great and the staff was very friendly
Our room was next to the road with a lot of noise and lights coming in.

The location was perfect. There were two restaurants in front property. This made it easier to get to.You also have a bus stop right in front to take the beach. The showers were also good.
The evening lady was helpful;
however, she was alone
so we had to wait along
time. The rooms were very small we stayed in a standard room. They didn't put much effort in the decor. It comes with no TV, but you can use wifi. You can hear when others shower. The hotel itself is cute, but seems like it needs to have maintenance done. The parking is limited and the person who was supposed to do security was never around. I did see him at the front office sitting down. They don't do room service and when I asked for replacement towels, they had none. The morning staff isn't friendly. The hotel exterior needed upkeep. (The price was higher than other hotels that we stayed at and we got less. That's probably due to the area)

Front desk staff was really friendly and helpful.
Beds are amazing, great showers, ac in the rooms, great views wherever you look :)
Restaurant staff is not great, it was a bit hard finding my room the first day.

The property was gorgeous from the restaurant to the rooms to the walkways and several pools. The staff was amazing and treated you like their best friend and the free welcome drink and karaoke made our whole trip. I HIGHLY suggest coming here for more than one night because of how awesome this stay was. They offer so much advice, the food is great, you get to make so many friends with fellow travelers, the rooms were beautiful, there were more than enough pools and the overall atmosphere is just top notch. They have events going on all the time and you never feel alone or bored here. If you’re thinking of coming here DO IT!! I stayed in San José the majority of my trip and my biggest regret ended up being not being able to extend our stay here. Trust me and click reserve as soon as you can!
The walk to the room had a bit of stairs but at least it was a free workout! Food was a little pricey. Overall though, I have truly no complaints because it was all worth it.

The activities included, I did yoga which was fantastic and other activities. This meant there was always something to do.
I was unsure about going to a hostel as it’s been years but I was pleasantly surprised.
no curtains on the bunk beds

Great location, within east walking distance of a handful of bars and restaurants. So much wildlife even while just relaxing by the pool. Bus stop to the national park directly outside the hotel.
The bar area in the evening had a weird vibe and smelled of sewage.

Check in queue time was crazy & room still wasn't ready at 4pm!
Manager seemed clueless at running the place & doesn't even know what facilities they have/don't have.
The chef at breakfast was clearly ill as we had to listen to him constantly hacking up phlegm in the kitchen while we tried to eat..
Also saw him handling money & cleaning between making food.

great location, vibe and facilities
My room was very noisy. I could hear all that was going on in the restaurant (read party’s with loud music). airconditioning was leaking a lot, the solution of the hostel was to put towels and a bucket underneath.

I always go back to that hotel for the view points from that Selina, it's beautiful. The 3 pools are nice.
Overpriced for the quality of the rooms. Beds are not that confortable. Food and drinks slightly overpriced.

Location
Really expensive shots and licor at the bar. Also, the beers were served warm and when I asked bartenders for ice they got really mad, specially the guy with tattoos at the bar when I spent more than $200 in drinks.

The location was great for being around restaurants, do note its a good distance from the beach, you'll want to bus or be prepared to walk down a busy road without sidewalks. The pools were clean and had a great temperature, and our room was really cute.
Our bathroom floor grading was hilarious, the water didn't flow towards the drain but instead it flowed towards the rest of the room. Make a little dam at the bathroom door with a towel if you're in the room we were in. 😂

The room wasn’t at all like the photos. Not comfortable. We asked to change rooms and they were rude

Location.
This place could be very nice, but the staff seems over worked, the buildings are not maintained, and the rooms are not really cleaned. Dirty towels were left of the floor in our bathroom for the 3 nights we stayed there and the only reason why we got new towels was because we asked for them insistantly.
But the worst thing was that extremely loud dance music with a loud bass is played at the bar/restaurant every night from 9PM-2AM - except on Sundays, which made it completely impossible to sleep. We had no idea this was the case, and would never have stayed here, if we had known. When we talked to the staff about it they seemed indifferent.
For the 3 nights we stayed there we did not pass by the reception one single time without hearing guests complaining (some were yelling loudly) about the noice at night from the music, which none had been aware of, the lack of cleaning and the lack of proper handelling of problems by the staff.

The receptionist help me move rooms, as i was directly under the dance floor. She was very willing.
Was a bit expensive for a dorm, but was a luxury dorm for sure.
The local reserve was fully booked and it would have been nice if the hotel had some tickets
