We can’t guarantee the weather but do aim to make sure our guests have everything needed for a magnificent stay. Prior to purchasing our home, we had been visiting Rotonda West for about 5 years, then decided to buy in 2010. We love the stunning beaches and waterways, and it’s an excellent area for bicycle riding. From the fully appointed gourmet kitchen, to the splendid pool overlooking the Palms Golf Course, and amenities like pool chaises, beach gear, and bicycles, our home offers more than the average rental villa. This vacation villa is within 3 miles of 8 public golf courses and it’s 12 miles to Boca Grande beaches, restaurants and shopping; 8 miles to Manasota Key beaches, restaurants and shopping; 12 miles to the Charlotte Sports Park, home of the Charlotte Stone Crabs and spring training home of the Tampa Bay Rays; and so much more! We love the area and hope you will too!
We are in the beautiful and peaceful residential community of Rotonda West. There is sleeping accommodation for 6 people. A large lanai (screened enclosure) surrounds the (optionally seasonally heated) pool and outdoor seating area with ceiling fan. There are 4 chaise lounges for outside relaxing as well. The oak and palm tree grove was damaged by Ian, but is filling in nicely. It offers some privacy from golfers, but also provides wildlife to watch for entertainment (in addition to the entertaining golfers who stray off the fairway).
The home offers a 2 car garage, bicycles, some pool toys, gas grill, beach chairs and an umbrella, and cooler for your use. Just bring your swim trunks!
Internet access and cable TV are provided for guest use.
The nearest Airports are Punta Gorda (40 minutes), Sarasota & Fort Myers (about an hour), Tampa (1.5 hours’ drive), Orlando (2 - 2.5 hrs) & Miami (3.5 hours).

Great for a family with young kids
The pool was fun for our kids. I loved that the doors to access the pool all had locks at the top so my young kids couldn’t get to the pool area on their own. Loved all the beach supplies- cooler, chairs, toys, umbrella etc. it made going to the beach so much easier. All the kitchen equipment we needed was available. Everything was great!

Beautiful Location for A Getaway
Best place for a getaway, everything was perfect, clean and spacious! Pool was perfect and the view as well. Thank you Todd and Melissa for such hospitality we enjoyed our stay, we couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate our wedding anniversary our 3 babies enjoyed it a well! Home away from home.
As Todd said, everything we needed was provided. We had our grandchildren come for one week. We all enjoyed the well maintained pool.The Beach toys were a great addition when we took them to the nearby beach.
Next time, I will leave some things at home! I overpacked. Todd was readily available to answer any questions we had.

Fantastic property
The pictures don’t do this place justice! Beautiful property and absolutely lovely neighborhood. Our family and friends spent a week here and enjoyed every minute of it. Todd and Melissa were very communicative every time we had a question both before and during our time here. Will definitely come back again!

Awesome place. Owners are wonderful
This is an awesome house, well stocked with everything you may need. It exceeded our expectations. For a change it was nicer than the pictures!!! Extremely clean and well taken care of. We enjoyed it totally. Even skipped going to the beach one day to stay and hang out around the pool.

Perfect Escape!
This stay was amazing! My dad had recently passed away, so I drove down to Florida with my dog, and rented this house for my mom and I to have a break. It was awesome! Super clean and cute. The owners are awesome and were quick to respond with any questions. The neighborhood is cute and quiet. I enjoyed running my dog and meeting neighbors. There is nothing I wouldn't recommend about this place! The owners definitely know how to host!

After the year 2020, my wife and I needed this very much. Property had everything listed. Exceptionally cleaned. Neighbor hood was the quietest I have ever experienced. The house was crystal clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with the basics and a little more for those like us who like to cook home made meals. The communication with the owner was fast and reliable. The pool was perfect and the patio furniture was exactly what we needed to relax. If you are looking for a quite, clean and family friendy house, THIS IS IT!

Exactly what we were looking for!
My sister & I were visiting the Rotonda West area for a first ever long weekend of some R&R (without husbands and kids!) and had some very specific items on our wish list for accommodations. All we really wanted out of our time there was to sit by a nice pool, drink wine, and catch up chatting non-stop all weekend. We wanted:
-a heated, screened-in pool
-at least 2 bedrooms that opened to the pool, so we wouldn't argue over who gets the "better room"
-a nice lounging area both inside & out by the pool
-a quiet & safe neighborhood, but not too far from shops/restaurants
-and the typical expectations of clean, comfortable, and cost appropriate.
This house far exceeded our expectations! When we arrived we were thrilled! The house had such a great layout. The master bedroom and the other 2 bedrooms were on opposite sides of the house, which was great for privacy. The larger of the 2 guest rooms was very nice and also faced the pool area. We each had our own bathroom to use too, which was great. The living/kitchen space was open concept, and there were large sliding glass doors leading out to the pool area. We just loved the layout of the house because we could continue conversation even if one of us needed to get up and go inside or into another room for something. The kitchen is very tastefully updated too, that was a bonus! We didn't plan to do any cooking, so we weren't even taking the kitchen into consideration, but it really added to the experience to enjoy a nice kitchen. Each morning we got a kick out of watching people play golf while sitting out drinking coffee, and observing the birds & turtles in view. We felt very safe in the house, even at night. We had every intention of eating out for every meal, but we were enjoying relaxing at the house so much, we were pleasantly surprised to find a very good non-chain pizza delivery restaurant to take advantage of (Joe's Pizza). Also, the owners were very fast to respond to questions ahead of arrival, and are even going out of their way to mail something back to me that I left in the closet, much appreciated! I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this house again! Thanks!

The perfect getaway
My wife and I stayed here for a wedding in Rotunda West Golf and Country Club. It was great to know we were just around the corner and didn't have to worry about staying at a hotel. The rate was reasonable and Todd was very responsive to my questions.
The house was beautiful. The view of the golf course was nice and the trees out back gave it a private feeling.

Awesome home
Our family spent Christmas at this awesome home. The house was well stocked, organized and accommodating. Very well kept and felt like home for 7 days. The house was perfect size for 4 adults, 1 Teenager and 3 younger kids. The pool area was very well kept and fun for all the kids. The neighbors we met were very nice even came over to introduce themselves. Definitely recommend renting this house.

Great times!
My family and I had a great time at this house, which was welcoming, cozy, and very clean. Also it was close to stores and restaurants. We could find everything we needed in the kitchen. The only problem was that the week passed by too fast. We just simply love this area, and will return next year. Thank you Melissa and Todd!

Clean and comfortable
Great location except for the noisy golf green keepers mowing the fairways at 6am. Enjoyed visiting Boca Grande, Useppa Island and Englewood.

Great place for golf lovers
Nicely layed out home that was very convenient to 5 golf courses and short drive to Venice. Comfortable beds and very clean. Very nice and quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed heated pool. Only wished orange tree had fruit. Overall great house and friendly neighbors. You will not be disappointed. Pride of ownership.

The house was very clean and comfty. The pool was very warm and also clean. We enjoyed our stay here
We loved this house. My dad loved it because the beer store was very close. And my mom also liked it because the grocery store was also very close. At one point at our stay we even found a toad at night. The beaches were very great and not that crowded. The restaurants had very good food and services. The neighbors were also very kind to us. We enjoyed our stay here.for sure if we have a chance we back and stay in this house again . Thank you so munch Todd and Melissa Shuey . We feel in our home durant our staying.

Great House in a great location!
We have stayed in the Naples area in the past but found the Englewood area to be so much more quiet with nice beaches, restaurants, golf courses, and pleasant neighborhoods. We loved all the golf courses so close by-one within walking distance. The owner was so good to deal with and helped us out readily if we had a question. The house was very clean, with up to date appliances, and he even honored our request to update the living area TV since we do enjoy that in the evenings. He had all the things we'd need to have a good time-beach chairs, orange picker- so we could have fresh oranges everyday- and bicycles for touring the area. We felt very safe and secure in our home away from home for the month.

Perfect place for our training camp
The home of Todd and Melissa was the perfect getaway from cold Europe. Our intention was to find a relaxing place between the twice a day running we did either at Ann Dever Memorial Park (highly recommended trails) or at Lemon Bay High School. Everything was perfect. There was enough space to relax, to swim and laze around. We cooked daily and had everything we needed to prepare decent meals. Best of all and a big thumbs up is the tangerine tree on the property. We didn't realize how perfect they taste when warmed by the florida sun.
The neighbourhood is very nice, the beach is pretty close and the golf course was the perfect place to watch a beautiful sundown every evening.
All in all we can highly recommend this place.

Rotonda Villa Vacation
My wife and I spent five weeks at this Rotonda Villa. As stated, it is in a very nice and quiet Rotonda West, FL neighborhood, backing up to the Palms Golf Course which is one of five good quality and very playable courses located in the Rotonda. The home is very comfortable and very well equipped for any length of visit. It offers the MBR on one side of the home and the other two BRs on the other side providing nice privacy. The center living area, eating area and kitchen are very open and allow for ease of movement. Several sets of sliding doors open up to a very nice covered patio area, and a very nice pool with both being fully covered by a large lanai. The area provides access to four terrific beaches in nearby Englewood, but our favorite beaches are all of the beaches on Big Gasparilla Island which includes the village of Boca Grande. These beaches are not as crowded as others in the area, and they are beautiful with lots of shells and sharks teeth to be found (never went to the beach and didn't come back without sharks teeth). There are many restaurants in the area that are very good, and Boca Grande offers several fine dining opportunities that are excellent. I should mention that it costs $6 to use the causeway to get to Big Gasparilla Island/Boca Grande, but it is money well spent. Shopping for anything that you would need is very close. It is a very good location for day trips to see things in Venice, Port Charlotte, North Point, or Punta Gorda. The local communities seem to always have some kind of festival happening that are fun and interesting to visit. We had a wonderful time with family and friends at this home. The owners made themselves easily accessible and were very responsive to any questions or issues (which were very few). We would definitely rent this home again.

Thoroughly Enjoyed our stay. Your house was great, clean, maintained well and well stocked. The owners were easy to access and talk to. The pool was wonderful and the location to the beaches at Boca Grande, Stump Pass, Englewood Beach and Manasota Beach were perfect. Did a lot of shelling especially for "sharks teeth". The area was not overcrowded and everything was within easy access for grocery stores and such. Did not do a lot of eating out, but found the deserts and breads and prepared foods at Publix to be excellent. Hope to be back in the future.

What A Great Experience!
Todd and Melissa have provided a great place for visitors to feel at home away from home. We are from Indiana and this was our first experience of "snow birding" for a few weeks. The information provided was exactly what we needed when we arrived. Upon opening the front door I chuckled as everything was just as the pictures showed. The property is literally equipped with everything you need - a fully stocked kitchen - two and a half baths with one position just inside a door that leads to the pool so you do not have to track through the whole house. The pool is private and great (even in the cool weather the heated pool was a great attraction). As we began to get settled in we realized how close the beach was and how convenient it was to shopping and dining.
We would highly recommend this property to a family or to a couple like us who had some friends to come and stay a few nights with us during our stay. All the comforts of home and the convenience of being close to golf courses and the previously mentioned shopping and dining and of course the beach and yet in a very quiet neighborhood setting. We give this a five star rating and thank Todd and Melissa for their honesty and hospitality.

Excellent. clean and well maintained home
We were very pleased with this home. The listing accurately disclosed that the house was in excellent condition and had all the amenities. We found the house to be clean, well maintained and everything was ready to use. The house is comfortably decorated and furnished and is well located to nearby beaches, restaurants and golf courses. The owners were very responsive and helpful. They had labeled various light fixtures and appliances that made them easy to use. The pool overlooks a golf course, but there is plenty of separation to the fairway so you can sit and watch and be entertained by the golfers without risk of being in play.
We definitely plan to return and would highly recommend this gem to others.

Great Vacation
We stayed here from 12/25/15 thru 1/3/16 as a family of six with four grown kids and it couldn't have been better. The home was exactly like it was pictured and described and was perfect for what we wanted. Everyone had their own space if they needed it, but could also spend family time together. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood on the first fairway of The Palms golf course. The layout of the house is in a C pattern surrounding the pool. The side rooms have sliders accessing the pool/lania. The living/kitchen has a triple slider to the pool deck area. Coffee in the morning by the pool watching the golfers was great! There was a tangerine tree just outside of the pool area that was bearing fresh fruit. The beds were clean and comfortable and the 2.5 bathrooms were an awesome convenience since we had so many adults under one roof. Todd and Melissa were great to deal with throughout the entire process. They are obviously detail oriented people and it shows. They have tried to think of everything someone visiting may need while staying there. From the beach towels, chairs, and umbrella to soft and hard sided coolers and ice packs to floats and chairs for the pool. There are bikes in the garage for a ride around the neighborhood. They even sent a welcome packet with directions and suggestion of things to do prior to our arrival.
The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cups, mugs, glasses, pitchers, pots and pans, coffee maker, blender, and an automatic dishwasher. Everything we needed and more. There was an LP grill on the deck which was way better than eating out every night. There were plenty of hand and bath towels as well as a washer and dryer. It was like being at home, just someplace else!
There are multiple grocery stores within a 15 minute drive and roadside seafood stands all over the place selling the catch of the day. Doesn't get much fresher than that!! For us, the weather was unseasonably warm as we were told, but it just made the trip better! The plan was to play all of the local golf courses but we liked The Palms so much we just played there. The clubhouse is a five minute walk from the house and the staff was very accommodating and friendly.
All in all I would give this a 5 out of 5 for relaxing vacations. I would definitely recommend staying here. I feel for what I paid, I got my money's worth and more. Thank you very much for an awesome vacation! Hope to see you again soon!!!
