Great space and location

Area was not great

The property itself was spacious and functional. Arrived at night lighting was poor, making it difficult to see the unit number. The thermostat was locked and we weren't able to turn the air/heat on or off. We could only press the temperature up and down button. Contacted property manager regarding it and instead of them disabling it they rather go back and forth and then ultimately didn't respond til the next day. instead of unlocking it they turned the heat on and then the house became hot. My grandbaby is now sick because of their childish behavior. I have never been in a vacation property where I can't control the thermostat. I will never rent from them again.

Slightly mislead by ad that this was a house, it is in fact a duplex but other than that expectations were met. Would stay again and recommend.

Amazing duplex very roomy The roosters in the back yard was cool & the house actually looks better in person vs the pictures on the site. We enjoyed our stay only thing we would say is more toilet paper we only had one roll to last the entire weekend.
4.2
Duplex was clean and a bit dated. No issues with our limited use of amenities in the home. Check in and check out were easy. Beds were comfortable; couch does not offer much support to sit. Driveway is steep but not an issue for our vehicles.

South Knoxville close to UT and Smokies very convenient. Old neighborhood though. Free range chickens and peacock in the city! My grandchildren loved feeding them. Got there Thanksgiving and got to meet my son and family for Thanksgiving and Vols game. Wife and I got cold that night and could really hear the morning rooster-the window had been left open, not by us. Had food ordered from Cracker Barrell but found the stove not working. After finally reaching owner the maintenance man responded reasonable fast on Friday after Thanksgiving and found the stove partly unplugged, quick fix that work! Nice repair man and his wife. We enjoyed our time there with son, wife and little ones immensely. We greatly enjoyed the close proximity to Neyland Stadium and the game Saturday. The rental was comfortable inside, cozy and plenty of room for the 6 of us. Kitchen was well stocked and other appliances worked fine. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was good. Driveway is steep. Railroad near but not terribly loud, grandson loved it.

We were in town for a sports tournament and were glad to find an option that could house our family near the venue. Everything was provided just as described and served us perfectly for the occasion. The only improvement I'd suggest is a little more obvious signage for the address. Since it's a shared driveway on a somewhat dim street, it was hard to tell if we were in the right place when arriving at night.

Clean, great location close to UTK.

Owner and Cleaning Staff had excellent response to our needs! Location was sooooo convenient and appreciated, too. Thanks for the easy stay!

Worked for our party of 5 during our short stay in Knoxville to play softball at Caswell Park. Is close to downtown Knoxville but in a rural neighborhood. Enjoyed the local peacock & chickens on site. Has the basic necessities, linens, towels, cookware. Note: As with most VBRO’s, be sure to pickup additional paper products & detergents

Roomy older residence in a quiet older neighborhood with basic amenities. Plenty closet space, kitchen supplies and bath linens. *T V in each room. Comfortable beds.
With 4 adults ( 4 bedrooms) we made it work with one bathroom.
Slight problem finding the location, but our adult child
(in Knoxville for school and more familiar with the city ) was able to figure it out. Opposite side of the river from UT and Market Square.
The residence is one of 4 on a hill, minor driving/parking issues, narrow streets.
Appliances and (*)T V should be user friendly and/or provide a manual.
The seats on both couches sunk when we sat on them, took some effort to climb out of it.
The door threshold needs replacing. The bathroom is bright, even with a missing light bulb and one that went out.
Thank you for your hospitality.

We had plenty of beds and place was clean. Love to have another bathroom for the amount of beds but we made it work and enjoyed our time. Close to popular areas.

The house was great and fits our needs for three bedrooms. The owner answered questions quickly and thoroughly. It had all we needed. The location was only 2.5 miles from where we needed to be so that worked wonderfully. The neighborhood was getting into lower class than I would have preferred but we didn't feel unsafe. The biggest issue for us was the noise. It was not even the train, while that was right across the street it was not an issue. The dog barking literally ALL NIGHT was. The rooster who started at day break and all day was. And then add in some other animal we determined was Kevin from the UP movie making horrendous noises in the night. We slept with our fan all the way up and still did not sleep. I wanted to share that as I would never go back because of that!

We stayed here for two nights to meet half way with family. The listing says no smoking, signs are posted for no smoking but there’s a cigarette bud holder right at the front door on steps. Don’t know if people smoked inside or just the smell had come
In. I went to store to buy spray to help with smoke smell. The train tracks are literally right across from
The duplex. You hear and see everything. The neighborhood was not appealing and the roosters are noisy all night long. I didn’t feel the need to contact the owner as she couldn’t fix any of these things. Overall the house did work for our meeting spot so for that it was ok.

If these thing get fixed l would stay again

Many others properties I have stayed at supplied toilet paper, paper towels, coffe pods etc. Not sure how a property that says it can accommodate 8 people only gives 1 roll of toilet paper and 3 K-cups! Very Disappointing!
4.2
It was close to campus and suited our needs perfectly
4.2
Perfect for a weekend trip. Good location and the owner is very helpful and friendly! Would definitely stay again.

House was clean, furnished well, all promised features were provided - great home for a getaway visiting UTK! thank you!

It was a nice place to stay. It isn't in an ideal location but wasn't super bad. It was clean and large enough to accommodate us.

Our first few days were very good. Our major issue came Tuesday night when there was some sort of mix-up with another renter on the same property. A man by the name of Winecoff was renting another trailer nearby and he was mistakenly sent our rental number and door code by the property owner, Sheila. Because the door did not have a separate lock and only the electronic door code, we felt very unsafe that this issue happened because we had no other way of locking or securing the door. We had to prop a chair under the handle of the door for the final two nights because he knew our door code. We had no issues and he seemed like a nice gentleman, but it startled us all that this mistake could even happen. It has made me reconsider using VRBO in the future due to the security issues.

It had the basic which was ok for us. It was clean and organized. The problem was the AC.... it is programed to be at 72 degrees and there is no ventilation in the rooms. It gets really hot and muggy. It made the experience a nightmare. We would get back from the parks really hot into something even hotter. Other than that it coul dhave been a perfect stay!

Family friendly
We enjoyed our stay at this little duplex in South Knoxville. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was ample space for our family of three. Train tracks are near the home and the train runs several times during the day and night, but it is not too loud.

Great place to stay. A quiet neighborhood just minutes from downtown Knoxville.
House had everything we needed for our stay. The neighborhood was quiet and the train did not wake us up at night. Just a short drive to the things we were doing in Knoxville.

We had fun
We enjoyed the stay, the air won't go below 72, got a little warm in the house. I recommend bringing a fan for the master bedroom. All in all it was a good stay.

The house was cute and clean. All amenities worked…the beds were AMAZING!!

The kitchen isn’t fully stocked and we did not know we were right across from a train track and it’s very loud and keeps you up at night.

This was an ok place. The down fall was it’s right by a train and it’s very loud.

We are so blessed to have the opportunity to stay at this beautiful place. Our stay was amazing. We would definitely rent this place again. It is exactly how it is in picture; clean, neat, beautiful. We had fun. The location of the place is so good cuz it was private. The parking is good too. Thanks to the owner for your beautiful place. Also thanks to the kind lady who came to the place on our last day. She was so patient and kind. I don't remember her name but she really was kind. God bless you.

After reading other reviews saying the neighborhood was a little sketchy I will say there may be a few houses around that are but other then that where the actual house to stay in is, it’s perfectly fine! We didn’t feel unsafe at all! My children loved when the train went by (also my husband) bc that’s not something we get to see a lot. The washer/dryer were very useful and we were grateful for it! We brought our own toilet paper/paper towels/ laundry pods and paper plates as I wouldn’t expect all of that to be supplied and I would suggest that to anyone else. The house is literally with 45 mins of every where we wanted to go no matter the direction and it was perfect!! The only two things I would suggest- we have a 3 year old that can open doors, so even though no one can get in with out the passcode, my daughter could whip that door right open as there was no inside lock. We would have loved any sort of lock on the door- we propped a chair against the handle every night. Also, there were a lot of things found under the furniture, under the beds, inside the dressers that were from the previous family. I don’t believe the cleaning fee should be what it is/was if we are the ones having to pick all of this up upon checking for our belongings to leave. Everything else was cleaned properly, just the parts no one sees were looked over for sure by cleaners. I would 100% recommend staying here and we hope to again!!!!!
