Place was older but updated pretty well. All the rooms had separate heating so we could all adjust the temp to our liking. Beautiful views out the back of the house. Overall, enjoyed the stay and would book again.

Wonderful location with beautiful view complete with visiting moose. Lots of beds for different family configurations and very kid friendly. We received an immediate response to a water and dishwasher issue. Only problem was no SHARP knives for that wonderful Homer farmers market bread. Great experience.

Roomy and comfortable. We were fishing all day every day, so didn’t spend much time at the house but it was comfortable and equipped for our group, and the laundry room was great

It was a beautiful place just far enough out to enjoy the quiet, but close enough to run in and get things. Loved being in Homer and all the beautiful scenery. Thanks.

Family vacation
Our family stayed here for two weeks for vacation. We had 16 people total. One of them was an infant. There was plenty of baby items to use which was nice. The only complaint we had was I would suggest putting blackout curtains in all the bedrooms and a different option for the bathroom door in the master bedroom. But it really was a perfect place for us and the views are beautiful! The manager was great at getting back to me with any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again.

The view was amazing and this house was perfect for our famly of 8, here for our son's wedding.
The house was very clean and had supplies in case you needed them(body wash, bug spray, canned and boxed food left from other renters). The people who rented the week before left a chicken and rice dish, from their wedding, that had never been opened. So it was nice that we had a bite to eat as soon as we walked in the door. The living room is very large with windows to see the spectacular view (and Moose), a perfect place for my grandchildren to play. The family of moose graze behind the property and are fun to watch. The fire pit on the back deck was perfect for making s'mores with my grandkids. We used the grill on the deck as well. Not all of the burners on the stove worked but the owner has extra burners to use and they plan to replace the stove top. The water pressure in the shower was very good. It is a great area to go running. It was very close to the wedding venue which was at the Joslyn Peony Farm. We had a wonderful stay with our family. I plan to rent this house again, when we go back to Homer. The owner is very accommodating and kind.

Amazing view!
Huge house with lots of room for everyone. The view of the water is just stunning. The house itself is well-cared for with everything you could ask for. Plenty of toys for the kids which was a nice touch. There’s also an insane amount of movies to choose from (VHS tapes) to keep you occupied when the weather doesn’t cooperate. Just 10-12 minutes from the homer spit. Enjoyed our stay immensely!

On a Clear Day You Can See Forever
We enjoyed this comfy home with a cute decor and lots of room in the main living areas. There were lots of games available & Netlix, yay! The appliances were older but still worked except the dishwasher but hopefully it is fixed! We appreciated the fish cleaning station & the empty chest freezer, available if we needed it. We arrived from a cruise so appreciated the washer & dryer but a heads up on the excessive iron in the water that may stain light colored clothes. There is a sign noting that. The other negative is that when we first walked into the bathrooms, the toilets appeared dirty. I realize now that they have an iron issue in the water that may be causing the staining. If there is a way to mitigate those stains, it would help with first impressions. The other issue that occurred was the electricity was out one morning. We were disappointed that we had to go into town to eat breakfast but the even more disappointing issue was that without electricity there was no water pumping from the well & we couldn't flush the toilets or shower. I don't know how often this happens but would advise that they keep some bottled water on hand for these emergencies. All in all it was a good stay with a few issues and a lovely view of beautiful Alaska!

Gorgeous views. Spacious and very comfortable for my family group
This is a large, beautifully decorated home. We loved that the bedrooms could be closed off from the main living area as we all had different bedtimes and waking times. We used it as a home base while touring Homer Spit. There was plenty of parking for our three cars. I would stay there again if I ever go back to Homer, Alaska

Gorgeous views in a comfortable, homey space
The house on Diamond Ridge is easy to find, convenient to Homer. Views are awesome and the deck has a fire pit. Our favorite! Living space is ample and comfortable. Bedrooms are nicely appointed. We enjoyed the nautical decor. Definitely recommend this house.

FANTASTIC Home!!! We had the BEST time there!
What a WONDERFUL home to rest up before and after Halibut fishing with Capt Ernie and Bottom Line Charters our of Ninilchek! My wife Laura, son Kyle and his fiance Jen, her sister Elizabeth and her fiance Chris, and finally, Chloe the grandma Mini-Dachshund had plenty of room both inside and out! The house is very warm, relaxing and it was easy to get comfortable and feel as though you are at your own home. Kitchen was well outfitted, dining room table, living room with plenty of seating 4 bedrooms that easily accommodated 3 Adult couples. There was a nice deck out back that included a fish cleaning station. If we come back to Alaska visiting this area I would DEFINITELY reserve this home!

Great view, lots of space for a group or family
We were an extended family of 6 adult people and the house was even bigger than I had imagined so plenty of room inside and outside to enjoy. The view from the living room of the mountains is spectacular when there are no clouds. There is ample parking in the driveway. A car is necessary to get to the town of Homer but we knew that. There was plenty of amenities in the house to include kitchenwares, soaps, linen, plus other extras like music, board games and a freezer (for fish). The washer & dryer were quite helpful given we experienced a lot of rain while visiting. I gave this house a 4 star, instead of a 5 star, due to running out of water one night of a four night stay. We had used a considerable amount of water after a full rainy day on a fishing charter boat. We washed 3 loads of laundry, took 5 showers and ran the dishwasher. I contacted the owner and they were helpful to identify that the well likely needed time to regenerate. True enough, the next morning there was plenty of water. This is more of a "heads up" to other renters to space out water usage and have bottled water on hand.

You will feel right at home
This property has a great view, and is outfitted with all the things you will need. The main area's are nicely updated and there is alot of room. The bathrooms will remind you of your grandmother but are clean and work great. There is room for 2 rv's and cars in the parking area. You are about 15 minutes from town but it is very quiet and an easy drive. This is a great property for a large group or big family. We had fun paying cards and watching a few of there vast vhs movies.
A great value for the money!

Just as advertised
We stayed at the Homer house for five nights in July 2016. We are a family of four with two small children and the house more than met our needs. The house was exactly as advertised, very comfortable and nicely stocked. The view from the back deck is indeed a must see view and we really enjoyed our time in Homer. We would stay again at this house. Terri and Hailey were very responsive and they were very quick to return our damage deposit. The house is an easy (and scenic) ten minute drive from downtown Homer. We enjoyed the many restaurants in Homer, whether downtown, in the old town area (especially Two Sisters Bakery), or on the Homer Spit.
