Overall really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was a bit small and rustic but very clean and cozy. The only downside were the stairs to the loft. They are steep with a large amount of space in between them. Our 2 year old was drawn to them so we did have to purchase a baby gate during our stay. The dock was also pretty steep so I would recommend this cabin more so to couples or singles or families with older kids but the property is beautiful and quiet and you can't beat the location!

I bring chairs because one of the comment say to bring your own, and they provide like 3 or 4 the views are beautiful. My husband swim in the pond. A dog appears out of nowhere but he was friendly and scared my sister.. Just be aware other than that that stay was great!

This is a cozy camp that sleeps 8. Proximity is convenient to North Conway.

The bed linens and towels were not provided. This fact was not communicated in the listing. Bed sizes should be communicated in order to come prepared. Fortunately Walmart was not far away. House/camp was comfortable. There are trip fall hazards for anyone with mobility issues. Overall we were comfortable. The pond was gorgeous. Bring your own lawn chairs if you want to sit by the pond. Hooks only in bathroom for towels.

Great location on beautiful Lovewell Pond Out of the way and quiet, which is just what we wanted. Property clean and well maintained.

The property is as advertised. The fishing was spot on. House was clean but make sure you bring linens and towels. Due to the recent excessive rainfall the mosquitos are really bad so bring some deet.

The place was clean when we arrived. However owner did not send key lock box until almost 3nhs after we arrived. We drove over 4 hours to get there and some of us met owner earlier. Mosquitos were horrible due to wet weather but that was beyond owner's control. We had to break into key lock box to get key( we replaced lock box with new one). Yard area was dug up and dock broken with nails sticking out at end which was not communicated by owner prior to stay. This is a decent
place for adults and older children. Loft area has steep stairs and not blocked off at rear of loft stairs so small child or dog roaming back there could fall right down to floor. We did manage to enjoy our stay despite the delay getting in and the constant barrage of mosquitos every time you went outside. Even saw some loons. Cabin had plenty of equipment and fans. Pond was very nice.

A nice place to stay to get away from it all. Very quiet and the pond was a nice addition. Rooms were adequate and place was well insulated for the cool nights. The only thing that was disappointing was that the cleanliness of the floors were not that great, a lot of sand and fur were found in the corners and around the rugs in the living and dining area.

Our stay was very enjoyable. The cabin was quite comfortable - we have no complaints about the property. The only problem we had were with neighboring dogs that were allowed to roam freely about the property. We were VERY vigilant with our 3 dogs - they were on leash at all times and we did not allow them to roam on neighboring properties. Unfortunately several of their "toys" mysteriously disappeared from the property. All in all it was a great experience. Thanks to our hosts - best regards Mike and Pati Tyl Liddy, Murphy and Riley.

We all had a wonderful time. Cottage was clean upon arrival. Communication with owner easy. Quiet. Loved the two decks. Only issue was the stairs up to loft. A bit difficult to maneuver for older guests, so only kids slept upstairs. Overall, a lovely cottage.

We had a great vacation overall. There was a new house being built right next door to the property and it was loud at times. The house was very clean and the owner very responsive.

The place was great. We especially enjoyed spending time on the dock, and spent most days kayaking and swimming. The place was cozy, with everything we needed to relax and enjoy nature.

Beautiful property overlooking the pond. Had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Enjoyed the covered deck with picnic table and the open deck in the mornings. Swam in the pond everyday (used water shoes in the pond). Very quiet area. Enjoyed the field in front of the pond. Visited N. Conway often (30 min away). There is no AC so the upstairs did get hot but fans were provided. Overall was very happy with this cottage! Thank you!!

My family stayed for 5 nights. Nice location, close to the waterfront. Kids enjoyed swimming in the pond and hiking in the nearby White Mountains. A little over an hour from the ocean. Cabin is clean, check-in process was easy. Overall, a very enjoyable vacation.

Our family had a wonderful time making memories by the water. The cottage was very clean and cozy, usually I feel the need to clean when arriving at a vacation home or hotel, but not here. My kids had a blast swimming in the pond and playing in the large grassy area. Another plus is that the cottage is only 20 minutes or so from Storyland and other fun activities in North Conway. We definitely hope to stay here again.

This was a great Maine camp with access to a dock for fishing and kayaking. It's a cabin in the woods by a lake in Maine.... it's not a Marriott Courtyard so keep that in mind when deciding. We had a great stay with our kids and our pups and it was just what we were looking for. Thanks Mike!

We had a great time. The place was perfect for us and had everything we needed. Beautiful, very clean lake and close to the mountains. Communication with host was easy and fast. Thank you Mike.

The cabin was extremely clean. There were only three of us with two dogs but there was plenty of room for more. The yard was big & everyone enjoyed the dock. There was parking space for a small boat-caught a variety of fish. We barely saw neighbors & the area is quiet. It is close to the white mountains & less than 30 mins to Conway. Great place to stay & explore. The gps said I was there but I had to keep going down the road-keep right—to get there. Owner was very fast to reply & I would not hesitate to rent this property again.

We enjoyed our time spent here. It had a great location on the lake. We rented kayaks/canoes and swam off the dock most days and listened to the loons calling as we sat by the firepit at night. We were pleasantly surprised that there were not many mosquitos by the lake. We also saw several beautiful sunsets as well. The property had all the essentials. As previous reviews mentioned, you do need to bring your own linens and towels. I would also add that you need to bring your own salt/pepper, oils, alum foil, etc.
The town was small but had all the essentials and Conway, NH with all the touristy places was a short 15 min away. Overall, we had a very nice, relaxing vacation in Fryeburg, ME.

My family and I enjoyed each moment together in this lovely cottage. Memories made here with my children mirror the many of my childhood on a lake in Maine!

Owner was very responsive, answered my hundreds of questions. Also gave us new chairs for the firepit, which is by the water. Walk to water is lengthy, but kids didn't mind. Can't see dock from house so had to sit down there while kids were in water. The view from dock is lovely, not seen from the house. Box fans in the house to move the air which was needed, dont really get that lake breeze sitting far from water. House was very clean upon entering and bed coverings looked like new, and were comfortable. Kids loved the loft area for sleeping. Wifi worked wonderfully too, and owner even bought new TV since other one wasn't working, so kids were able to watch their movies on the blu ray player. Very nice neighbors. Dogs loved the big field to romp and play. Few other dogs from surrounding houses would just wander over periodically so we had to keep an eye out. Docked our 16' fishing boat no problem. Rented paddle boards locally for a few days to explore the beautiful lake. Fishing was ok. Got 2 big small mouth but that was it for the week. Overall a great week!!!! Thanks Mike for being so attentive and helpful!

The location of this property is what sold us, but the listing needs some updating.
--The lawn was never mowed the entire week we were there, and it looked like it hadn't been mowed for at least a week prior to our arrival.
--There was also no mention of needing to bring our own linens. In all the pictures, the beds are made. Upon arrival, they had quilts, but no sheets anywhere in the home. It would've been nice to have been told that we needed to bring linens.
--The owner also did not send the check in code to the lockbox until an hour and a half after check in. The door was left unlocked anyway, so at least we didn't have to wait.
We will not be going back to this cabin. This place could be a great rental if the owners put in a little effort to make it such. Location is great, but hospitality was not.

Appreciated the quiet neighborhood, relaxed atmosphere and chance to bring our dogs on vacation. Great area for outdoor activities. Also, the bed was very comfortable which is often not the cAse at some rentals- so this was much appreciated! Hope to return in the future.
