I stayed at this lovely cabin with my husband and 3 kids, my parents, and 2 uncles. Everyone had a bed and we were very comfortable. The lake was a short 5-7 minute walk away from the house on a flat, sandy path. The lake is very unusual for Maine and had soft sandy beaches that my kids adored. We also had access to a paddle board, canoe, and peddle boat that kept my kids entertained for hours! The kitchen could use some new silverware and cooking implements, but nothing major. The only problem is with the request to wash, dry, and fold the bedding and towels before checkout. We had to leave early to catch a flight out of Boston and it was simply impossible to do more than wash 1load. The washing machine was very small and slow. My uncles tried to stay and finish the 6 beds worth of laundry, but weren’t able to finish by 11:30. This isn’t a realistic request and was the only negative on our stay. Otherwise, I would return again!

I alittle girls weekend in a cute place in the woods. Very clean and what we all expected. It had beach chairs and everything you would need to enjoy your time at the cabin. The only thing that i noticed that the bathroom shower upstairs was small.

The cabin was perfect. It is clean and fit everyone comfortably. The beach is a short walk away and is beautiful. The kids loved it! It was great to feel away from everything, but still be close to everything in Fryeburg and on North Conway. Would recommend bringing something to wear on your feet for swimming in the pond. Water was clean and refreshing, but there were a lot of muscles on the bottom, I was glad to have something to put on my feet.

Loved the privacy, the beach and the cabin itself. We had an amazing weekend. Short ride to north conway and tons of activities... Would love to rent again in the future!

This is a great rental for some quiet time. Nearby beach access, great house and very close to N Conway. Easily accessible to activities and restaurants.

My family and I loved our stay here! The place was exactly like the photos online. We had a bit of trouble locating the place but Bill was quick to answer his phone and was very helpful! The place also was fully equipped with anything you need - including 6+ table settings and tons of spices and cookware (which I have found not to be the case at many stays). The house sits on tons of land and was very relaxing and quiet. Overall, we would definitely recommend this place to stay :)

Loved the house. Very clean. The owners were kind and easy to talk to. House was further from the water then anticipated but good exercise to the beach. Wish we could have seen the water from their lovely porch. Other than that love the stay very much. Many thanks to letting us stay in there cozy home.

We needed a getaway and this was a great place to do it. Lots of space for sleeping, eating, etc. It was my family (including 2 small kids) and my parents. Here are my thoughts:
House: Beautiful and comfortable. Not totally rustic but not fancy. Set far enough into the woods that it was total silence except for the animals outside. Beds were comfortable enough and lots to choose from, which my 4 year old found exciting. The bathrooms were also decent, although the upstairs shower is tiny. The downstairs was fine. Outside was fine as well - plenty of yard space and a small fire pit we used one night until it got too buggy.
The Pond: A short walk through the woods and you are at the private pond. Easy to find, and although a little buggy on the walk, worth it. Water was comfortable; sand fun for the kids. The pond itself was a little "squishy" on the bottom, but that's likely due to the weather we've had this year, and nothing we couldn't deal with. Definitely worth it to book this place just for the pond access. There was also a canoe and paddleboat available to use.
The location: Fryeburg is not somewhere I had ever really thought of staying, but it is a great little town. Quick access to what you may need, including a small grocery store and local brewery (we went twice!), and a candlepin bowling alley with arcade we visited on our one rainy day. There was also a flea market we visited and a great coffee place. We tried to go to the BBQ restaurant but they had a 1.5 hour wait! Maybe next time... Otherwise, it's very close to N. Conway and other attractions.
The only drawbacks to this house is that the cleaning requirements meant we basically lost our last day at the house. No time for a quick dip in the pond or walk on the trail. They do send you the requirements before you go so there was no surprise, but it was still not ideal.
Also, if you have little kids, don't expect to be eating meals on the back deck. One side has no railing/side and is a good drop down, so I couldn't let my 1 year old out there. But the screened in porch in the front was great for reading and relaxing and was child-proof.

Two of my friends and I stayed for two nights and had an amazing time. The pictures do not do it justice! It's a good sized, clean cabin with a large deck with a grill. It's extremely private and surrounded by wilderness. There is a 200 yard trail that takes you to a very large private beach with a firepit. We ended up spending the majority of our time down there swimming/sitting by the fire/paddle boating etc...
Really great experience and we are already planning a nice fall trip to the same cabin!

Our family flipped for this rustic cabin on the lake. This is EXACTLY what we wanted in our dream Maine Cabin vacation. The log home is gorgeous and exactly what we wanted vs. a "condo on the lake". There is a ton of privacy! The owners have you covered across the board with everything you need in the cabin. We road out a few rain storms with the satellite TV, ROKU gave the kids access to Disney plus and Netflix. We had fun on the screened porch and grilling on the large deck. The beach is a 200 yard hike through the woods which might be much for some but once you get there, you are covered! They have a canoe, paddle boat, floats and toys for the kids to play in the nice sand! The owners were excellent to work with!!!

Me and a few friends stayed here 2 nights on a fishing trip. The place is great! It has everything you need. Very comfy and very clean. We used the gas grill outside to cook our dinners and the fire pit at night for hanging out. We would def stay here again!

Loved this property! We had so much fun at the beach-clean water, boat access, canoes and toys to play with. Close proximity to all the fun stuff, loved the little coffee shop in Fryeburg. The cabin was clean and well stocked with everything needed to cook (nice grill too). Beds were comfortable and assortment of 90's era VHS tapes kept us happy campers. Recommend bringing deet for ticks.

Great place to stay!
Overall, we loved this place for a quick weekend away. The cabin is clean and well-stocked with linens and cooking equipment (there's even an impressive assortment of spices). The house and property were quite spacious for the three of us and our 4 year old had a blast running back and forth on the "bridge" upstairs. The private beach was a huge plus, even in chilly weather, as a relaxing place to sit while the kiddo played in the sand. We also enjoyed the proximity to town for takeout and ice cream, as well as easy access to the White Mountains for a hike before we went back home.
Possible downsides, if you really enjoy quiet, are that sound carries through the whole house and the property is close to a busy road so there is some road noise. (Also, if you are startled by clanging at 6am on Friday morning and find a pickup truck in the driveway, that's just the trash pickup and not someone coming to murder you. :D)
In general, I would definitely recommend this property and we hope to make it back in warmer weather!

Awesome cabin at the lake
The pictures don't do it justice. The cabin itself is well appointed & stocked...everything you need is here. The house is secluded enough to feel isolated but is close to the small town of Fryeburg. Small grocery store is about 5-10 min away and a bigger one (and more shopping) is about 20-25 min away.
The lake is gorgeous...there's a big sand beach the stretches pretty far around the lake. There's a fire pit on the sand that we used a few nights for smores. My son ran around down here all day...he even found some baby turtles on day. It's a few minute stroll down the path.
I would say there are only 2 things to consider...
1) The wifi was veryyyy weak. I had to work for some of the time I was there and was unable to use video conferencing. And with no cell reception, this become a challenge.
2) You have to turn down & do all the laundry before going. It's small but it meant we had to start getting packed up earlier to account for time to clean, do the laundry (wash, dry & fold) and put everything back away again.
Would love to come back, hopefully with some stronger wifi. =)

Perfect family getaway to a quiet location
We had a great stay at the log house. The house was very clean and exactly as listed — very private, secluded, with a short walk to the waterfront and an easy drive to North Conway. Our three little kids had a great time playing at the house and venturing down to the waterfront. We would definitely go back again.

Unique Location
We loved our time here! The house was a nice set up and had enough room for us all. Outdoor fire pit, bbq grill, screened in porch, well stocked kitchen. The huge private beach a short was a short walk down a trail and was amazing! The kids loved playing in the sand and floating in the water. Quiet lake with loons and beautiful sunrises, sunsets and stars.

Maine Living
Our family enjoyed the privacy of the cabin and the proximity to the lake. We toasted marshmallows on the beach and my nephew caught his first largemouth bass. Total success. Rob is extremely accommodating and very nice. thank you

A lovely cabin in the woods with a cozy atmosphere.
The cabin is a short walk from Lovewell Pond and just over a mile from Fryeburg, Maine. There is so much to do in this area, hiking in the White Mountains, canoeing on the Saco River, enjoying the bustle of North Conway. The accommodation was roomy, comfortable, and very clean. It was wonderful to hear the loons calling early in the morning and watching bald eagles soar over the Pond. A great vacation spot!

Needs improvement
Overall, the house is a modern log cabin with a decent kitchen, furnace, washer and dryer. While we knew it didn't have a water view, it's location in very dense woods made the interior fairly dim even on a sunny day. The kitchen area was fine except for dim lighting over the kitchen table. We moved a pole lamp to the table area to make dining and cross-word puzzles better lit. Some of the living room furniture was beyond second hand with a chair topped by a random 2nd seat cushion covering a ragged and torn original seat was not a proud statement. The living room had dark furniture and a dark rug with no lamps only track lighting which did not offer enough nighttime lighting for comfortable reading. Luckily we had a clamp-on work lamp with us and when we found a broom tucked into the LR corner propped up tightly by the couch, we now had something to attach our light to; probably a previous renter used it there for the same purpose. The down stairs bedrooms had wall lights with bare bulbs and broken blinds in the windows. The upstairs bathroom lighting was so dim it made putting on make up nearly impossible. We found the the consistent use of low illumination bulbs off-putting as the comfort of guests did not seem a concern. The Wifi access was appreciated but there was no TV access except for DVD/VCR players. We felt that given the extensive house rules, the cleaning fee seemed excessive. We opted to use our own sheets and towels except for a few kitchen towels. Suggestion: Outfitting the house with upgraded used furniture and better lighting (beating that drum) would go a long way to providing basic comfort to future renters.

Great house and hosts
We booked this house for a bachelor party weekend and we're very pleased. The house is a modern log cabin and everything was well appointed and worked well. Unfortunately, we had quite a bit of rain and a power outage during the stay. Luckily the gas grill had plenty of propane and there was plentiful rain water to flush toilets.
The hosts were very accommodating and helpful. We were planning on camping prior to our stay at the house, but it was pouring and we hit an extra 2 hours of traffic. They allowed us an early check in as there was nobody staying at the house the night before our scheduled check in. We really appreciated this and highly recommend this house for your stay.

Great Property & Great Location
We stayed here July 2015 (but forgot to write a review). The house is great with a big screened in porch. We had a great time. The walk to the beach took about 5 minutes with a 2 year old. That water was warm and the kids had a blast in the sand.

Peaceful, Relaxing, Close to Fun Outdoor Activies
Our family had a great time at this house, which was clean and quiet. It also provided a great location to enjoy the White Mountains, as well as provided a great escape to the private beach on Lovewell Pond.
The owners are also extremely helpful and responsive, we appreciate all that they provided to us for our stay.
I would recommend this location for anyone interested in a relaxing environment, that is not far from the excitement offered in the North Conway/White Mountain region.

Very private place to be with family....house is super clean. I stayed about a week with my friends and family...every one liked the place. The lake water next to house is not perfect for swimming but very good view. What an amazing weekend!
We had a wonderful weekend and all agreed our stay was too short. I can see us renting this cabin again next summer but for a full week! The log cabin is great and we enjoyed grilling dinner on the deck every night. The screened in porch was a great escape when the Mosquitos started biting. The private beach was so relaxing and what great views of the mountains beyond the lake. Truly picturesque! This cabin was a little slice of heaven for us. Clean with easy instructions for check in and check out. On Saturday we drove five minutes up the road and tubed down the Saco River. It was so close and easy. Thank you so much for letting us use it! We were so sad to leave on Sunday.
