Great house with amazing views of the river. House had a great layout. Decks on each floor. Kitchen was nice with plenty of sitting space Wildlife everywhere when entering the gated community. Great weekend! Amy thank you for your quick responses. Highly recommend!

The house is very good for a large group family vacation. Plenty of room and things to do, both at the house and in the surrounding area. We spent a day at Lake Blue Ridge, a day at Amicalola Falls State Park, went to a Braves Baseball game, visited a winery with live music and a brewery. The grandsons and a few of the adults went tubing and swimming in Mountaintown Creek and enjoyed the hot tub after, the water is cold. And there was at least one pool tourney. A very enjoyable week. A Walmart is not far for convenient pickups.

This place was absolutely amazing! I wanted to give my aging parents a vacation with all the family. This place did not disappoint!!. I will say that if someone in your party has a problem climbing stairs, then they may have a problem here. My dad has problems with this. I had him use the back door and come up from the terrace level. Getting up to the front door from the driveway is about 30 steps and they are pretty steep. However, he had no problems getting up from the back. The driveway is gravel and very narrow. Make sure someone with good eyesight is driving. Those are my two things to “warn” people about. Now having said that, we loved the river, the jacuzzi, the fire pit, the beauty, the serenity, and the whole place! Amy is quick to respond and answer questions. You will not regret going here!!

We enjoyed our stay at Trout Trap Cabin, there plenty of room. Enjoyed relaxing on the cozy porch while enjoying the fire, in the evening & morning. Loved listening to the sounds of the river & walking along the side of the river. Nice place for family & friends to hangout. There are a lot of stairs to get into the Cabin, but we climbed them!

Great house! There is a lot of space inside and outside. The grandkids had a lot of fun fishing and swimming. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. We hiked and went to an apple orchard. We would definitely rent this house again.

We enjoyed our stay. The weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cool. The house had everything we needed. We hung out, played games and drove to town to play pickle ball and eat. The hot tub was very enjoyable too! Going up the rock hill leaving was a challenge but we finally mastered it! Would go back again. Very peaceful and plenty of room for the whole family.

Stairs outside are very dangerous especially when wet. Husband almost broke his hip.

We (8 of us) stayed here for long weekend.
The kitchen is very well equipped and my husband enjoyed using the griddle and grill outside.
We really enjoyed the fire pit and when it rained the kids enjoyed the hot tub.
There are a lot of stairs going in from the driveway which was a bit challenging, but not terrible.
The beds and furniture in the house were comfortable. The outdoor porch furniture wasn’t super comfortable, which was a little disappointing because the sound of the creek flowing is so relaxing, it would be great to have some nicer patio furniture for enjoying that.
The drive in is paved until the last half mile. The are some steep parts on the unpaved section and with a lot of rain our less “outdoorsy” cars were a bit challenged but made it!
Overall, this is a great space; we would stay here again and would recommend it!!

Very secluded and spectacular views from every deck and window at this cabin. Heat issue but owners totally responsive and had a repair person there early next morning. All amenities at cabin readily available. Thank you 😊

We spent a week at the Trout trap cabin. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor patio fireplaces. the cabin was easy to get to and provided parking for 4 vehicles.
the entrance to the main floor of the cabin was on the second floor. it was 28 steps up and 28 steps down to unload and load the cars.
The exterior patio furniture, and exterior cabin windows need some tending. Very dirty.
The basement floor with 6 bunks and a full bed only had 3 heat vents and the themostat was on the main floor causing the basement to be 15 degrees cooler then the rest of the cabin. The futo in the basement was in need of repair.
Overall the week was very enjoyable with Family and the kitchen was well equipped to provide us a GREAT THANKSGIVING meal with plenty of leftovers.
Best of all, the Seminoles whipped the Gators to top of the week!!!

This was the best cabin experience we have ever had. I had 13 family members staying for my son’s wedding in the area. The cabin has a terrific floor plan with decks on multiple sides. Incredible views looking over the creek and 3 separate levels that provide some privacy even with a large group. There is so much attention to details for the comfort of your stay. The small appliances and cookware are high quality and everything worked in the house. Amy provided a very detailed list of all the important information about the house and things to do in the area. We felt like we had a friend with inside knowledge of the area and restaurants in Amy. It was clear to us that Amy wanted to create an experience and she invested in finer quality things to make it truly special. We highly recommend the experience for everyone.

We highly recommend a stay here!

THE CABIN WAS WELL EQUIPPED. IT WAS VERY CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED. AMY IS A VERY GRACIOUS HOST. SHE GAVE ALL THE INFO WE WOULD NEED TO GET INTO THE GATE. MY FAMILY LOVED IT. THE POOL TABLE AND THE HOT TUB WAS A BIG HIT WITH MY FAMILY. MY GRANDSON ENJOYED FISHING IN THE CREEK IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE.

Great cabin poor management
Cabin was very beautiful, definitely in a remote location on top of the mountain. Easy access to the river and only steps away from your private cabin. Parking is very minimal but definitely not a deal breaker. Very beautiful scenery and loved the sound of the river flowing by while sitting out of the balcony of our room. Only draw back was the cleanliness of the Cabin. Upon arrival we noticed their was loose trash in the trash can, finger prints on the TV, dried up food left in the dining room under the table, and just travel debris throughout the house. Due to being sent a list of rules and what fees would assessed if rules were ignored and broken I wanted the owner to be aware that these rules were not broken by us, but in fact by their previous tenants and to give a courtesy heads up that their cleaners did not do a very good job at cleaning. Service at the cabin was pretty much non existent. Upon leaving, I gave notice to her that we had left. She replied with a nasty response for whom I am sure was intended to be sent to someone else that she basically was glad we were gone because I complained too much and was a b**** and she was happy I was gone. I responded with a simple Wow! and never heard anything from her since. To set the record straight, I never complained, I simply was informing her that the loose trash in the can was not done by us and that the cabin was not cleaned properly. If I managed or owned a cabin, I would appreciate the feedback my renters gave me, EXPECIALLY when I am charging them hundreds of dollars to have the cabin cleaned. Due to the poor conduct of the owner of this cabin, I do not recommend staying here.

We went with family out of town to this amazing cabin and really enjoyed. Spend most of the time outside or at the river. Owner is amazing and super easy communicating. Thanks

Trout Trap Is For Everyone
Our family vacation at the Trout Trap was great! It offered something for everyone, such as fishing, a game of pool, dip in the hot tub, relaxing on porch, etc. Laundry on 2 floors was a nice extra, along with 3 porches and 3 bathrooms. The owner was quick to reply to all my questions. Overall, great place to stay!

Wonderful Sweet 16 trip
A beautiful cabin with plenty of room for everyone and our fur pets! We enjoyed trout fishing and watching the numerous deer in the resort. My daughter caught her first 18” rainbow on her 16th birthday! What a perfect present! None of us wanted to leave! Thank you, Amy, for being so accommodating and sharing your home! Hope to come back in the near future!

Trout Trap relaxation
Spent 4 days at the Trout Trap over our kids Spring Break. Property was clean and ready to enjoy. We planned on spending most of our free time in the river fishing, but didn’t fare too well catching anything. Regardless, the kids had a great time learning how to fish in a river.
Our wives spent time on one of the many decks, reading books and catching up on our busy daily lifestyles. Needless to say, all adults left feeling very relaxed and ready to attack the day!
House was in a more secluded part of the resort, so it was nice to only see a couple cars pass per day. We cooked all of our meals at the house and the Blackstone griddle was very helpful in feeding everyone at the same time. Kitchen is very well stocked for any type of cooking.
We hope to make this a tradition and will definitely be back!

This was a great cabin to stay at as it was secluded but a short drive to anything you could want.

Wonderful!
The property was absolutely beautiful. The stream was so peaceful listening to it. My only recommendation would be to invest in a much better coffee machine, We were all coffee drinkers and the amount of time spent on making a cup of coffee took so long. Everything else in the kitchen was great. The grill outside was used every single day.

Perfect getaway!
Excellent communication with homeowner, beautiful home, lovely surroundings, quiet and hidden away from all noises. Would definitely return.
