Great stay! This house was conveniently located next to several amenities (i, e. walkable to beach, grocery, McDonald’s and restaurant on beach). We enjoyed having lunch and watching the whales, dolphins and turtles swimming by the beach. While the location was great, please know there are several steps leading into the house. This was tough for my parents (age 72) to go up and down. All else was as expected. Great time, great location, great host communication.

This was our first time on Oahu and we really enjoyed our time in Wainane after the busyness of Waikiki.
Location was great… in particular the beach is amazing! The unit itself was clean and had a great layout for our family of 4. Parking was easy and all of the beach toys and chairs were a huge bonus (after having to rent some equipment at a different spot this became very evident). There are a few restaurants and shops around but if that is the sole focus of your trip, you may be better served in a more central location. We only got caught in traffic once and found making our way around easy.
Loretta answered a question we had promptly and was very easy to communicate with.
The only point of note is that not all the bedrooms have AC but they do have fans. We did not have any issues sleeping but not sure how warm it would get in the hotter months.
Thank you for a wonderful stay and we’d be happy to come again.

We had a comfortable stay. Our ohana enjoyed the beach everyday & close access to stores etc.
Everything was provided with rental . We got to enjoy our own home cooked meals & spend time with our ohana. We will definitely come again to make more memories. Mahalo ❤️

Great stay
Our favorite part was being a literal one-two minute walk to the beach, and also all the beach equipment that was available for us to use. Beach chairs, umbrellas, kids toys, beach cart, stand up paddleboards, etc.
The house also had a ton of baby-related equipment, including pack and plays and a bath lounger for giving baby a bath.
Loretta was the best! Very helpful and always available if we had questions. 10/10!

Excellent option to go off the beaten path
This property is a great option for those who want to wander a bit from busyness of Waikiki and check out the less touristy parts of Oahu. The unit is right across the beach and beside a nice restaurant with an epic view of the sunset. Lorretta was very easy to reach and was super accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. We had access to all their beach equipment (toys, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc). Overall a great stay!

Enjoyed the location in spite of quirks!
We really enjoyed access to the beach and the Beach House restaurant. The neighborhood is a bit quirky, but all in all very good; you might want to be used to, or get used to, chickens/roosters and some overnight noise with the military kiosk nearby. Loretta was very communicative and helpful. Also we did get to use some of the boogie boards and had some fun with them on another beach. I was super sad to learn that Hanauma Bay now requires advance tickets and they sell out, so we never got there as hoped (this however has nothing to do with Loretta's place!). So yes we enjoyed it!

50th Wedding Anniversary Reunion
Such a well appointed, pleasant, and comfortable location for a family get together! The full kitchen was great for our various cooks to show their stuff. The downstairs patio, complete with ping pong was a great and breezy hang out. And the 2 minute walk to the beautiful beach really rounded out the amenities. Highly recommended! We hope to be back. Thank you, Loretta and Frank

Wonderful Hosts
We wanted to stay in Waianae close to our son's wedding venue. The home comfortably sleeps 6 adults with 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. There are 2 sofa's in the large living area that can sleep another couple of people. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare meals, the lanai was a great place to grill and hang out! Ms. Loretta and Frank allowed us to use any beach items they had (chairs, umbrellas, coolers, boogie boards and surf boards, etc.) The location is excellent with the Beach House Restaurant and a beautiful beach 50 years from the front door. Your within driving distance to so many beautiful beaches, the pillbox trails, north shore and pearl harbor. Thank you for making our trip so memorable!

Restful and Relaxing
If you are looking for a relaxing beach getaway removed from the hustle and bustle of a tourist city THIS IS IT.
Lorretta was a fabulous host. She was quick to respond and easy to work with. She and her husband were so friendly and I enjoyed our interactions with them.
I am so happy that I decided to rent this time on the island. I had some friends and family staying as well. There were a total of 4 of us and we had MORE THAN ENOUGH room.
We were so close to the beach and saw many turtles in the water. Many mornings we started walking the beach before we headed out for a hike or other adventure. SInce this is on the wes side, we caught some really great sunsets. It was truly paradise. This would be such a cool space for a family with kids!
This spot is close to Kaneana Cave (Makua Cave), Ka’ena point hike, and the Maili Pillbox hike. The Ko Olina Lagoons are also close, but driving into Honolulu, North Shore, Kaneohe will be a bit of a drive, just something to be aware of.
Overall this was such a wonderful stay, and I am looking forward to the next time. Would NOT hesitate to stay at this place again!
Mahalo!

Excellent!
This rental was an excellent choice for our stay on Oahu!! Loretta was extremely responsive, friendly and helpful! We couldn't have asked for a better host! Our group of 7 (2 adults and 5 teenagers ages 15-18) was very comfortable here. She has everything you need for a comfortable and fun stay. We didn't want to be in the craziness of Waikiki, but still wanted to be close to the beach, and this was perfect. We highly recommend staying here!

Cozy home with all the amenities
Home was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. Especially for our little kiddos. The hosts were wonderful, friendly, and very accommodating. It was a little farther away from tourist attractions, however driving around the beautiful island made up for that. The house was very close to the beach and the hosts had everything we needed to spend all day there.

Beautiful Getaway
This home was gorgeous all around and fit our needs perfectly. It is right across the street from a great restaurant and a beautiful beach that barely has anyone on it. Lorretta and Frank and exceptional hosts and my ohana is definitely looking forward to coming back here every year!

Mini Family Reunion
We really enjoyed the property. The overall experience was wonderful. The hostess was very polite and accommodating to our needs, although there were none. For those who want to stay out in the country and a short walk to the beach this is the place to rent, If you mind a little traffic. Excellent place to stay. I would stay there again.

Wonderful place to stay in Oahu
Our family of 8 loved our stay here. We were warmly greeted by Loretta, and she was so kind and helpful for our entire stay. The apartment was clean and nice. We appreciated the access we had to use the beach equipment, the ping pong table and the laundry. It was really nice being so close to the beach, too!
The only thing that was a bit tricky for us was that there is only one shower, but we worked it out. And for all the other conveniences of Loretta's place, it was worth it. It's also a bit of a drive to other popular areas on the island, but we didn't mind. It was fun seeing Oahu as we drove to our destinations.
I would definitely recommend staying here!!

Our Stay in Waianae.
I would highly recommend anyone looking for a rental in Oahu to stay here. Especially if you, like me, are looking for a nice relaxing time away from the more stressful, tourist-y destinations. The hosts are a delightful. They are so nice and very accommodating. The beach near by is beautiful and has a very nice view of the sunset. The resturaunts around are very good and the locals are super nice. There really are so many nice and positive things to say about our trip and stay here. My friends and I had so much fun, and will be looking forward to staying here in the future!

Hidden gem
I cannot say enough good things about this place. Good location close to restaurants, grocery and beaches. The house is equipped with literally everything you need. Check out their fridge first before going to the store many people before us have left items so you don't have to buy again. From housewears to beach items they got it all. Auntie Loretta and Uncle Frank are the best! I feel like Im like Ive been with family all week. I will miss them and their 2 boxers very much. We definitely made more family while staying here. We will definitely be coming back.

Love Loretta and Frank!!
Great location! We were so close to the beach and Beach House 604. Loretta and Frank had beach toys, towels, umbrellas .. everything you would want for a day at the beach. I highly recommend staying here. Plenty of room for our family. And to top it off Frank and Loretta are the best. Friendly and caring. They made us feel right at home.

Incredible hosts with a great location!
Loretta's property and home were exactly what we were looking for in a family vacation getaway! There was plenty of space for our family of four with room to spare. The entire place was clean, newly update and had every amenity we needed, including a pack-n-play for our youngest. Our hosts couldn't have been more accommodating and gracious! The location was just what we were looking for to relax by a beautiful beach. We saw dolphins and sea turtles everyday from the shore & it would have been perfect for surfing if our kids were older. We would gladly return and recommend Loretta's for anyone looking for a relaxing Hawaiin vacation.

Beautiful Kid Friendly Beach
We loved our time at Pokai Bay Beach. The surf was calm for children. It is so close to the property. Loretta was so easy to work with and always helped us with laundry and questions. They offer a lot of water toys for guests plus coolers, beach towels, and chairs. We loved the house but didn't like how far it was from many other tourist attractions on the island.

Nice place off the beaten path
This is a wonderful place to stay with short walk to beach and "toys" to take with you. Paddle boards, surf boards, coolers, chairs. Very nice to have these things available.
Inside was clean and tidy and very comfortable. Kitchen stocked and all pots/pans, etc. would need to cook your meals.
I read many comments on AC, what you need to understand is that houses in Hawaii were built without AC until recently. I have not been in a house there with central AC. There are AC units in two rooms and if you work them properly the place stays very comfortable.
If we come back to Ohau we will stay here for sure!
Thanks for having us!!

Great experience
Frank & Loretta are amazing! I really enjoyed meeting and chatting with them as well as their commitment to us enjoying our stay in their home. The property is very well maintained and quite comfortable with one of the best supplied kitchens of any place i've ever stayed--this was important because we chose to make nearly all of our meals in-house. My family and I were able to make ourselves feel at home and make great use of the space. I rated the neighborhood a little low because it is a bit rough if you're looking for a polished tourist destination, however, if you're like me and prefer the "more natural" environment it's perfect. Some of the nicest beaches I've ever been to are close by and i really liked being walking distance from the ocean - it made for several great mornings with a cup of coffee. I hope I get the opportunity to stay here again.

Clean and comfortable apartment right on the beach
We had a blast staying and Loretta and Frank's place. I think they were the kindest landlords that we've had. The beach right in front of the house is absolutely gorgeous and perfect, and we spent so much time there. Due to covid, you can only go right in front of the house if you have a military ID currently, but normally you can go in with a normal state ID as well (or around to the other entrance with no ID). We saw turtles every day, and when we took a boat tour down in Ko Olina we were surprised that the boat just took us back to this exact beach again to see dolphins and whales! The restaurant in front of the house is really delicious, and the house feels so safe and clean. The kitchen is completely stocked to a tee. The only thing that wasn't absolutely incredible was the town behind the house -- the immediate neighborhood where the house is is super nice and safe, but the main street has a little bit more movement/feels a little less secure.

What a wonderful time in Hawaii!
The owners of this home are absolutely amazing! They are friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The house is beautiful. Honestly, the pics do not do it justice. The owners have gone above and beyond and have FULLY stocked everything you will need for the beach and the home including paddle boards, chairs, coolers and every baby item you could ask for. I even noticed an air mattress in the closet. We will be back someday!

Amazing Location, Super Friendly Owners
We stayed here with our 4 kids under 12 and loved the location being so close to the beach. It was a 2 min easy walk. You have to pass through a guard booth and show a government issued ID, but that was no problem. The beach has 3 different sections with super calm to surf-able waves allowing us to easily cater to our kid's wants.
The house is very nice and was stocked with everything we needed (sunscreen, dishes, pack-n-play, etc). It has two wall air-conditioner units that worked great to keep it cool enough for us in January.
Loretta and Frank are the nicest people. They are super friendly and answered all the questions we had about the area while still giving us our space.
We were unsure about how it would be traveling to Hawaii during COVID, however, we felt very safe while still being able to enjoy ourselves doing almost all the things we had wanted to do.

AC stopped working
We arrived and were so
Pleased with the Airbnb, the owner was very pleasant, we noticed that the two bedrooms facing the street was very warm, there were two AC units, one in living room and one in master bedroom. If you don’t keep bedroom doors open there are two rooms that get hot. Two days before we checked out the house, we noticed the house wasn’t cooling off, but we were in and out it was tolerable. Thursday evening I reached out to owner I let her know the ac wasn’t working and she said the soonest anyone could be there is on Saturday, which was our check out day. Thursday night through Friday the entire house except living room was hot. It made our last day unbearable. I was glad we were checking out, because I don’t know if my family and I could have lasted another day lol.
The place is nice and clean. I wouldn’t recommend it during really hot season in Hawaii tho..
