This Fort Bragg vacation rental is so close to the surf, you may just be able to feel the ocean spray from the back deck! Add to that a private hot tub, a deck overlooking the ocean, a cozy interior, and a great location just south of downtown Fort Bragg and you'll see why this Northern California Coast getaway is a hidden gem along the rocky shore.
This well-designed, 300-square-foot studio is attached to a larger home and offers plenty of amenities, even though its layout is compact. From practically every window you'll have a gorgeous view of the ocean. In the evenings, relax on the comfortable sofa, while you watch cable TV or a DVD, or you may just want to snuggle and enjoy the view.
Relax out on the deck, or if the weather is stormy, just stay inside and watch the dramatic show from the warmth of your Marebello retreat.
Hungry? Head to the full kitchen to whip up a meal - you'll have a refrigerator, stovetop/oven, microwave, and other gadgets for everything from heating up leftovers to making a vacation feast. There's even a two-seat bistro table for enjoying your creations. There is no dishwasher, but you can always let the dishes soak while you walk down to the shore and explore the tide pools.
This Fort Bragg vacation studio has a four-poster queen-sized bed and a full bathroom with a shower. You'll also have a stereo if you want to listen to music. Perfect for up to two guests, Marebello makes a wonderfully romantic retreat or an ideal and quiet Fort Bragg getaway for one.
From here, you are less than a block away from one of the nicest attractions on the Northern California Coast - the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens. Hike along beautiful trails, bird watching, and learn about coastal ecosystems and their flora and fauna. Other nearby attractions include downtown Fort Bragg, only three miles to the north. Here you can wander shops and galleries, and when you work up an appetite stop in at North Coast Brewing for pints of Blue Star Wheat Beer and garlic fries.
This location is also very convenient for visiting the postcard-perfect community of Mendocino, just eight miles to the south. Hike along the bluff at the Mendocino Headlands State Park, browse for books at the Mendocino Book Company, or just sightsee around this quaint oceanside village.
Your stay at this Northern California vacation rental will be so pleasant and charming, that you may not want to leave! Spend lazy afternoons wandering through coastal gardens, exploring tide pools down at the rocky beach below your deck, and in the evenings, relax on the deck while you take in a spectacular sunset.

The views and proximity to the ocean are stellar! Sitting on the deck is peaceful and relaxing. Unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the deck’s hot tub experience as we were informed it needed some repair. The rental unit was quite cozy and offered all the essentials for our stay. We enjoyed the quiet the location offers and spent a great deal of time on the deck while the sun was out. It’s an idyllic location.

My boyfriend and I went to celebrate our anniversary and it was absolute magic. It was so wonderful it was almost surreal. We can not wait to book another stay.

This studio is attached to a larger home and perched on a cliff overlooking the rocky coastal shoreline. If you are visiting to look at the ocean, then this is the place for you. The studio itself was very clean, but unremarkable. A small dishwasher and stacked washer/dryer would be a nice addition. Kitchen supplies covered all the basics. The deck was nice and there was a hot tub that I didn't use.

we really liked the place
perfect location for two

When we got to the vrbo it had not been cleaned from the previous persons. I called Kat the property management manager and within minutes she had people cleaning the cottage. The space is basically 1 room and a small bathroom. But OMG that view. Nothing could beat the view. And the hottub is great.

This was perfect for our stay. We really enjoyed the beautiful view & the hot tub was a nice touch.
What is ironic is every time we come to Fort Bragg we stop at a winery to purchase wine for our stay, come to find out the winery we have been stopping at for years, is the owner of this studio!

The view, location and hot tub were wonderful. They could use a full length mirror on the one sliding door that doesn’t operate.

amazing views, very relaxing

View. Comfort. Location.

I would definitely come back! The view was gorgeous and the place was away from the highway! We had an issue with the door code when we arrived but it was taken care of right away.

The view was absolutely the best! Honestly unbeatable! The hot tub with the view of the ocean was perfect with a glass of wine❤️.
There were people working on the windows which made the area a bit noisy, which was not perfect for our quiet getaway. The owner came up to us and personally apologized and gave us a few bottles of wine from her winery!
There was not WiFi as stated on the booking. Per the owner, it was a company issue, which she couldn’t do much about.
Besides a few hiccups, it was wonderful stay and would most definitely recommend.

Everything was wonderful accept the bed would be fine for 1 person but the broken down mattress is saggy and uncomfortable for two.
Sways to the middle.

Me and my wife stayed here for a birthday getaway and absolutely loved our visit!!
What an amazing view.

The cottage is in a beautiful location, overlooking the ocean. The sound of the waves was very soothing. The kitchen had what we needed for making a small breakfast, but that’s about it. The hot tub was nice, lots of stars, but it has way too much chlorine in it. It tarnished my silver ring because the level was so high. The bed was comfortable for us, but it is VERY soft, so keep this in mind if your back doesn’t like soft beds. Overall, it was a nice coastal getaway for our anniversary.

What a perfect little slice of Heaven this place is. Absolutely gorgeous views and so quiet. Perfect for Two to decompress and forget about everything else. Coffee in bed with the whole Pacific right below you.

Down a long and very private drive. Overlooking beautiful tide pools. The place was very clean and very functional/ well thought out. Cooked our meals in house- found everything we needed. LOVED the little hot tub. We would love to come again sometime. It was a little difficult to sleep because the soft bed would keep rolling you towards the center- not sure if the problem is the mattress or maybe a weak box spring? But regardless, no place is perfect but this place was perfect for us. THANK YOU!

This little place was so cute and the view was very beautiful! It was nearly perfect; unfortunately the bed was super uncomfortable. It felt like we were sleeping in a hammock. Besides the bed situation this place was wonderful!
4.8
The view is fantastic! However, the TV wouldn't work (possibly due to the rusted out satellite dish on the roof) and the mattress was horrible! It looks new, but it's way too soft and saggy (kept rolling into the middle). The windows need to be replaced, they have fog within the double pain, which cuts down on the view from inside. The spa didn't smell great and there was sand in it.

Beautiful view !!! Accommodations were great / had everything we needed . However the mattress is very very saggy very uncomfortable and the satellite dish is very very very rusty and looks as if it may break and fall off the roof at any moment ; Wi-Fi was very unreliable and very spotty . We saw on reviews that mattress is new as of March this year so owner may want to check on warranty of this product . Not good …,

This property was very clean and neat. The view you have of the ocean is absolutely amazing. Seeing the waves crashing over the rocks is a sight to behold.
The Wifi can be a little iffy and I would not totally depend on it. Several times my computer would time out before the website loaded up.
But if you want to be off from the main road and be right next to the ocean this is the place to be. The cliff is only a few feet away from the back sliding door. There is deck which you can sit and watch and listen to the waves. listen

You couldn't ask for a better location. Right ON the ocean. sit on the deck and watch the waves! Don't expect to be cooking gourmet meals in the tiny (but well stocked) kitchen, but that's ok, just go out for dinner. Shower was good, bed was comfy but too small for us fat old fogies (I need to remember to always book a place with a king size bed). Couch was comfy. Perfect for 2 people.

A perfect little gem tucked back against the coast with a view that will take your breath away. Easy access to shopping and dining and all the sights. Definitely a great find and perfect sport for a romantic get away.

This place is gorgeous. The ocean views are breathtaking. The wildlife of deer and jackrabbits were a treat. Even a hidden trail on the property was fun to explore. The hot tub was perfect. The studio room was the perfect size for two.

Upon arriving at the location, we walked in expecting to see the beautiful views pictured in the ad. To my major disappointment, the windows were extremely dirty. So, I spent the next hour cleaning the windows.
Next, we were searching for the obvious things like bath towels. As it turns out there was only one bath towel per person. We had to hang them to dry to be used for the next consecutive days.
The next and most major concern was the hot tub. We went to use the hot tub. Upon turning on the jets, we were getting an unusual smell and mist coming up. We left the hot tub and set our swimsuits out on the deck so they would be dry for the next day. The next day we went out to retrieve the swimsuits and discovered that mine had turned from black to brown. It had been bleached out from the chemicals in the hot tub. I contacted customer service and they apologized and simply said “Is there anything else I may be of assistance with?”. Blown off again. I took a sample of the water to get it independently tested. As it turns out there was at least ten times the amount of Bromine that was supposed to be in there. I contacted customer service and their reply was that the person they use to maintain the hot tub was “The only guy in town”. So, we could no longer use the hot tub for the remainder of the stay.
The ocean views from this location were unbelievably spectacular. The room itself was nice. If only the company maintaining it, Vacasa, would have been as good.

Perfect in every way!

Everything was as it was supposed to be. Sometimes pictures are Strategically taken to make things look better (Different) than what the reality is-Not here though!
Very cute little house that overlooks the ocean. Great views with plenty of glass. Hot tub worked great. There's a bench that sits on the bluff overlooking the ocean to sit & drink coffee in the morning, watch the sunset in the evening Or you could sit in the hot tub and watch the sun set...
The BEST Part is the Privacy! There is Nobody right on top of you so it is Very peaceful....
I'm one that is very critical of What you attempt to sell me and Expect it to be what you say And what you Lead me to Believe it is. No negative surprises here. I would highly recommend this place!

This was our third trip to Marebello. We just love the place.

You’re pretty much just paying for the view. The wifi is still down as mentioned in older reviews and wasn’t fixed while we were there. There’s not much phone service in Fort Bragg and it made it hard to navigate around and find things we wanted to do and places we wanted to eat. The hot tub has waaay too much chlorine in it. I’ve never been bothered by chlorine before and neither has my husband but I got a rash and couldn’t stop coughing and sneezing and it set off my husband’s asthma both times we tried to use it. With that being said the place is cute and cozy and it was great sitting on the deck and being able to look out on the ocean.

Pros and cons. Pros: beautiful views, really nice maintenance person, quaint. Cons: arrived at house and it was 54 degrees inside. Heater was on and not working enough for the space. Used all the blankets, our robes and blanket we had in the car to try to sleep. Finally found space heater and by morning it was 56 degrees inside. Maintenance came and brought better space heater. Hot tub water level was so low it wasn’t worth using. Mattress sagged. All and all I would say this place is not worth the money. It was clean but didn’t feel like it was really prepared for guest.

The most amazing place I've stayed at in California. Sleeping with the sounds of the breaking surf. Hot tub on the edge of the cliff. We're definitely going back.

Loved the clean, cozy accommodations and the breathtaking views! The hot tub was the perfect place to watch the sunsets after full days of hiking. Can’t wait to come back!

We loved the views and good location for us .

a fantastic getaway

The location couldn’t be any more perfect! The ocean is right at your doorstep and while you feel isolated at the house you’re also close to amenities that you may need for your trip. We will definitely be booking again!!

View!!! Nice TV & DVD. Good Pillows. Nice fridge. Good shower which is hard to find in this area. Close to shopping. Good heater. No skylight. Full window shades. We will return for sure.

A beautiful little gem with a stunning view and in a great location!! We will definitely be back 10/10

Perfect location for a ocean front get away

This little ocean cottage came with fabulous views of crashing waves against the massive rocky coastline.
Beautiful location!

The view from this small cottage was wonderful and changed with the tides. From the deck I watched a Great Heron fly in when the sun touched the tops of the rocks for its morning meal. I saw an Osprey, jack rabbits and deer. This cottage was far enough from the road that the only sound we heard was the breaking of the waves. Truly relaxing. Oh, and to watch it all from the hot tub was downright luxury.
