About this apartment rental
Ground-level condo with one king bed, kitchenette, fireplace, ocean balcony.
The Sand Dollar is a ground-level studio that sleeps 2 people in a brand new king bed (2020). The bed is right by the sliding glass door to the ocean balcony. This is one of ten condos in our building.
The fabulous ocean view makes this condo unique because it is so affordable. Nothing compares with enjoying the electric fireplace on a cool evening, or sitting on the balcony with a cool drink, watching the beach action below!
32" Samsung smart TV.
The condo has a microwave, oven, refrigerator, sink, and basic spices (salt, pepper, garlic salt, onion powder, and Italian seasoning) plus oil and oil spray. We also have a drip coffee pot with filters, and an adequate array of cooking pans, pots, bowls, casserole dishes, and utensils. If something you need is missing, please feel free to call me!
Since seafood leaves strong odors in the condo, please no fresh cooking seafood.
Extra folding chairs and table games are in the closet.
No smoking in the condo or on the balcony. No pets or animals are allowed.
Our Cancellation Policy is Relaxed and allows 100% rent refund up until 14 days prior to your stay. FYI, if you find it necessary to cancel at any point between booking or 14 days prior, we must charge a small 5% processing fee to cover our expenses.
If you make arrangements with us, we can provide a camping cot for a small child.
One block away from Highway 101, easy walking to restaurants, souvenir shops, and a grocery store.
Beach access is via 50 gentle stairs (with two handrails) or a paved ramp to drive onto the beach! In fact, during April - Sept, many people like to park their cars on the beach (right below the condo) when the tide is out! But twice a day, the tide rolls in, and clears everybody out!!!
No pets allowed. Please do not ask to bring a favorite animal. It just doesn't work to mix animals, and folks with allergies in our private condo. I cannot host guests with dogs, because I have other guests, who specifically ask me for "allergen-free" rooms. I do not have pet-friendly rooms.
Parking in a beach town is challenging but manageable. We have 11 off-street parking spaces. Some will accommodate large vehicles, others will not. If you are driving a small vehicle, please be considerate and choose a small parking space. Please be aware that a large 4-door truck may find parking in our lot challenging, and you might find it more comfortable to park on a side street.
At check-in, we issue one parking permit for our lot, and vehicles without permits will be subject to towing.
Extra vehicles can find parking on the side streets of 15th and 14th Streets. Please be advised, that Lincoln City writes tickets if vehicles park in their lot across the street between 1-5 a.m.
Bring your own BBQ to enjoy at the beach, or bring some newspaper and kindling to light a campfire on the beach! (The driftwood is often wet and hard to start without dry wood, but burns great once going!)
At the time you book the condo, you can access AirBnb's House Manual in this reservation for the Welcome Letter and get the access code for the key lockbox to the front door, so you can check yourself in anytime after 4 pm.
We love the immediate beach access from the Sand Dollar condo! Walk the beach, looking for glass floats among the cliffs and sea grass. Fly kites, or enjoy a beach campfire. Spin a doughnut in the sand with your vehicle...yes, they are permitted on this section of the beach!
Only one off-street parking spot is included with this condo. But feel free to park on any side street. You can also park across the street in the City Parking lot, but NOT between 1-5 am, or they will tow your vehicle :(
There are three public electric vehicle charging locations in Lincoln City.
Lincoln County Transit provides busing in the city. Siletz Bay Airport at Gleneden provides Transportation ( (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) .
This is a vacation condo. In an effort to offer an awesome beach experience at a minimal price, we provide clean towels and linens at the beginning of each guest's stay, but we do not do daily housekeeping, nor provide new towels daily.
We do provide bath soap bars, complimentary shampoo and conditioner in separate bottles, as well as complimentary coffee for a day or two (depending on how much one consumes :)
For your planning purposes: our rates are based on occupancy. Extra guests over the number of two cost only $8/person/night, and are quoted in your price when you include the total persons in your party. This makes our condo affordable for couples or families. If you arrive with additional guests who are undeclared, our extra person charge is $15/person/night.
It's very easy to step outside and walk around to the edge of the lawn and enjoy the ocean air and sights, downlooking from the bluff to view the tide pools and people on the beach below.
BRING BINOCULARS for your trip! From here, you can watch ships, whales, people, birds, and vehicles stuck in the sand...great fun!
The Sand Dollar is in the upscale Oceanlake Historic District, conveniently located close to a ramp to actually drive onto the beach sand!

Our anniversary was made very special because of the beautiful card and gifts given to us when we arrived! The room was clean and well maintained withe everything we needed. The view from the balcony was wonderful. We will definitely plan on coming back as soon as we can.

Very clean, with a wonderful balcony overlooking the beach. Beach access is right around the side of the building. My only complaint is that there was nowhere to put my bathroom stuff. Would definitely stay here again!

Pros: Great view, comfy bed, clean.
Cons: inadequately stocked and appointed. No place to put suitcases or unpack, no closet, no bathroom shelf to put personal hygiene items. Box of foil contained a two inch piece. Suggest the owners stay a night or two in this unit and you will see what I mean.

Perfect weekend getaway
The property was exactly as designed in the listing, a smaller studio with an amazing view. The unit was clean and obviously well kept and cared for. While not applicable to us, unit 4 would be very accessible if that is a concern for your stay, with no stairs to climb for entry into the unit. That balcony, oh my! I seriously could have spent the entire weekend sitting there, sipping coffee, and just watching the ocean do it’s thing. An amazing view from high atop the beachside cliff. Access to the beach is right there, with gentle stairs or a vehicle ramp if you so choose. If you are more inclined to get out and see town, you are within walking distance of both shopping and dining, and also within a short drive to many more options. I would recommend a short drive to SALT for a breakfast sandwich and a latte.
Teresa lived up to her high ratings as a host. This was my first use of VRBO, and she made the experience as smooth as could be. Communication during the week prior to our stay was informative in a general sense, and when I posed specific questions, Teresa’s replies were both prompt and informative. She proved herself to be a great host.
Overall I could not have asked for a better experience, and our hope for a quick weekend stay to get away from real life was more than achieved.

Wonderful Stay!
Everything was wonderful for our second time coming to this cozy place. Last night there, the tenants above the room were very loud and obnoxious. Of course that has nothing to do with the property, so it does not limit my love of this place.

Easy to book online… great view and easy beach access. Only downside was staying on the bottom level and having people above you. Didn’t see when booking that it was a 2 level condo. Other than that it was a perfect little place

Amazing View
Come for the view and the location with easy access to the beach. Sitting on the back deck to watch the sunset get's pretty windy most of the time but a blanket that is provided is perfect to huddle or cuddle in to stay warm. <3

Great Location
The view from this location is unbeatable! The checkin process was very easy and we even got to check in early. I would have appreciated somewhere to put clothes (like a dresser) as we were there for a week. Lastly, the faucet in the kitchen makes it difficult to do dishes. We have stayed at this location before but in a different condo. When will be back.

Awesome studio with view.
We had a great time, the place was just as advertised! Very clean, cute, and comfortable. Delicious restaurants nearby so we didn’t cook. The only suggestion would be a power strip on both sides of the bed so 2 people could charge phones close by at night, but that certainly didn’t detract from our stay! Excellent little getaway on the beach!

Lovely coastal studio.
Great little place to visit. It would be to small to bring the kids but was great for two people. Love hearing the waves and feeling the ocean. Only gripe was there not assigned parking so one day had to be on the far side of the property, but there was always at least one spot.

Our March 4 thru 9th stay
Very clean and appreciated good smelling room. We came there for my 70th birthday 😋. Rain we expected and got. That’s o.k.. We did get plenty of sun too. Loved the view!
Now for other things. Suggestions. The shower is very awkward and the floor slippery. Plus if you weren’t careful VERY hot!
You need to add a pull bar on the side of the sink. It’s a very short toilet so getting up was VERY difficult for me ☹️.
Not that you can control it but the trucks doing circles in the sand and dogs barking below us were obnoxious.
Also please put some felt pads on the chairs 🪑 up above room 4. There’s a bad squeak in that floor too. Their activity woke us up 2 of our 5 nights. 5:30-6:30.
The gal who cleans units was spectacular!

Great place on the beach!
Amazing to hear the waves crash as you sleep. It was perfect for us. Shower is very small and microwave was having issues but thats just nitpicky things. We would stay again!

Great view!!!!
This delivered on what was promised. The first night the neighbors above us were a bit noisy for about 30 minutes, sounded like aerobics or dancing going on. That was the only disturbance in a very peaceful stay. Thanks.

Great view
The condo had a great view. A little small for us to be comfortable. No closet really and no place to put clothes. Shower was small. For the price though you can't beat the view.

Good things come in small packages
My husband and I had a great time in Lincoln City this weekend. Teresa’s condo is a perfect little getaway. This place is everything you need and more for a quick trip to the beach. The view is perfection and the proximity to all things Lincoln City makes for happy travelers. I would love to come back on a stormy weekend for a front row seat of the action at Teresa’s condo!

Review:
Only issue was the Wifi advertised was so sketchy it might as well have been "no Wifi". Everyone uses Wifi these days and it was disconcerting and we had not planned on not being able to have access to Wifi. Phone, iPad, Kindles.

One of the better stays on the OR coast
Nice, comfortable and quiet with a great view and easy walking to the beach and tourist shopping area. Would be nice if there was a plug on the left side of the bed for electronics but that’s just a minor quibble. We plan to return some day.

Great place by the ocean
This was a lovely condo, enjoyed the balcony. Has great views of the ocean with easy access to the beach right down the street! Was clean and well kempt!

Great view, cozy place, cars on beach
This all ground floor place was just right for our visitor in a wheelchair. There was just one small step to navigate. The owner and manager were great to set aside a wheelchair parking space for us. This is a place where cars can go on the beach so you can be entertained by watching forgetful drivers get stuck when the tide comes in! Comfortable and clean but we did choose to wash the dishes and utensils before using them as the last guest was not as meticulous about that as we are.

Great views and location
This room has great views and great staff! From booking the room to a few questions I had when I was there, it was great. The room is a little small but I knew that going into it, however, the view more than makes up for it. Can't beat the easy access to the beach either.

Quaint, a little older facility than we expected, great view & beach access.
Facility was very clean & neat. Provisions as advertised, kitchen, bath, etc. Mike was very helpful, had trouble with the TV. Needed a new cable end, old one very corroded. I replaced myself, Mike supplied the new plug.
Overall experience pleasant & comfortable.

Nice , clean
No where to put clothes, Room could use a dresser next to fridge to put clothes in or in corner where tv is, table to small, could use a breakfast counter so there would be more room to eat and prepare food. But overall very nice and clean, I would stay there again
