We love to swim in the water off the quieter side of the Lake Almanor Peninsula. The dock has umbrellas that provide shade for those who just want to sit on the dock and watch the kids play. We brought paddle boards and the water was perfect for them. The country club is quiet and peaceful and easy for walking. The manager and the owner were both extremely helpful and responsive with anything we needed. The house was just perfect for our needs with plenty of space both inside and out and the kitchen is surprisingly well equipped for a rental. We had a really great week and hope to rent this place again next year.

Here’s your dream vacation! The home is well maintained with all the amenities’ )They don’t mention the very convenient ice maker.) We have a large group and for the first time had a table large enough to seat us all. The two refrigerators were put to good use. The retractable canopy made it possible yo sit on the deck the entire day. We highly recommend this beauty!

Our stay was perfect! Great location, beautiful and comfy home, stunning lake views. It could not have been more perfect. We even enjoyed the nightly bat show! We hope to return.

Great location and great property. Perfect for our group of 3 families with young kids (ages 6mo to 7yo). Had everything you need in the house. Kids had so much fun playing on the lawn and in the lake. Would stay again.

We spent a week here and it was fantastic! The house could use some updating and the showers were not great, but that didn’t matter. We had such a nice time on the huge yard and deck. Very private and well kept. Our teen boys were able to swim and fish right off the dock. We can’t wait to come back next year!

We had a great trip to Lake Almanor and the house was beautiful.

We had a wonderful stay for our first time at Lake Almanor. The home was perfect for kids and adults of all ages. The kids had their own wing which we could close off when the adults of younger children wanted to retire early. The home offered 2 refiderators to make storing food easy, a washer and dryer to wash wet boating towels, and every poosible kitchen tool we could need. We enjoyed sitting on the large balcony for morning coffee and dinners, and the flat grass area was perfect for playing spikeball, volleyball and to let the littles run around. The dock was a perfect place to also sit and enjoy the water and to keep our boat with us right where we were staying for easy access. The views were amazing! We are thrilled we found this home and look forward to coming back next year!

Hi,
We had a great time at the lake. It was a beautiful spot. The heater was unplugged but Greg was quick to respond and get someone to help out. We would love to stay again!
Thanks again!

Our friends and family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. The kitchen is well stocked. There are two refrigerators and an ice maker which I don’t think was listed in the description. The location is perfect for walks, fun on the lake, and fishing from the dock. We would definitely return.

We were a multi-generational group of married and single adults. Layout of home accommodates privacy/bathrooms for all. Well equipped kitchen, dining and baths...all you need is food and clothes. Large, flat lawn is great for the athletic, deck and easy access to dock is great for the readers. Would definitely rent again!

Easy and gentle slope to water/dock. A lot of lawn space for kids to play games.

Location and property are outstanding. Our family group of 10 greatly enjoyed our visit. All say they would like to return.
On the negative side it appeared we were the first guests of the season. BBQ was very dirty. Several appliances either did not work or were not functioning properly. We lost most of the perishables we had brought, including 3 days of meat for ten. Those issues took away from our enjoyment. However, the owner was very responsive and had a repair team that acted promptly, even replacing the oven and a refrigerator with new ones. Although aggravating, we could not have expected better response to fix the problems.
Kudos to Greg Gaskin for quickly responding to our problems. The next guests will likely find all in order.

There were 9 adults and had plenty of room. Spectacular location and home was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Would make this a yearly tradition, however, the BATs came out everynight at the end of dinner when the sun went down and we had to hurry in the house and could not venture out in the dark after that. It wasn't a few bats but SWARMS of bats that divebombed in front of and on the deck - even out the front door we were swarmed when trying to get to the car. I did notify the owner, but heard nothing back. Perhaps, this only happens in June, but don't know....

This was the best-equipped vacation home we have ever stayed in. Our group of 4 couples found everything we needed for a fun week. The kitchen has more dishes and appliances than you could ever need, and the lawn game box kept us entertained with croquet, bocce, badminton, and some other ball-throwing game that we never quite mastered. The paddle boat drew interest, but we got lazy and rented jet skis - perfect on the quiet late-August lake. The large deck was a perfect place to set up our crafts, eat lunch, have drinks, barbecue, and enjoy the beautiful lawn and lake view. Ospreys provided the background music all day. Our only complaint was poor lighting for reading - a few more lamps would make it perfect for those of us who relax with a good book.
The area offers few good restaurants, so we were happiest when we stayed in and cooked our own meals to enjoy with the view. Lassen is reasonably close for a day outing, and we really enjoyed spending a couple of hours in the hot-springs-fed pool at Drakesbad Guest Ranch. The roads in the club area itself are suitable for walking and bike riding, with respectful drivers and nice scenery. Overall, this is a house to settle into and enjoy the location and the company you are with.

Our family had a great time at the Lake Almanor house. Great location. The kids VS adult wiffleball game on the big lawn was a great time. We are already talking about going back. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need for cooking. It was so nice to have the boat on the dock so we could take the kids out on the tube and wakeboards anytime.

This home was perfect for our family/friend vacation. The layout is great with 2 master bedrooms on opposite ends of the home. The bunk bed room was perfect for the 4 kids on our trip! In addition, there was a lake view room for great grandma! 4 baths was great, never a line and felt very spacious even with the 11 of us. The location is premium on the point and short walk/bike ride to Rec 1. The home faces East/SE which gives you the sun in the AM and the shade on the deck in the afternoon, this is ideal. There is even an electronic shade that drops over the table which we used every late morning. The kids had a great time on the paddle boat and the large lawn area with games kept the kids plenty busy. I can't say enough good things about this home, the owners and management staff. They were extremely responsive in every aspect leading up to and after our stay. Luckily we did not need anything during the stay but I know they would have been there if needed. We will be staying again, thanks for the great experience!!!
