About this house rental
This cozy waterfront home offers a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere that is perfect for a romantic get-away or family outing. Its charming living room has a large fireplace, and breathtaking views of the Olympic Mountains and beautiful Hood Canal. There are also great views of the water from the kitchen, dining area and bedrooms. The kitchen is outfitted with everything a gourmet cook will need. The large deck is great place to watch the sunset after a busy day of swimming or fishing.
The private pebble beach offers plenty of room to relax, swim, fish, sunbathe or look for shells and interesting rocks. And there’s nothing like a crackling fire on the beach for grilling oysters, cooking s’mores and just having great family conversations.
The location is in a very quiet and tranquil neighborhood and the beaches are privately owned so we ask that you don't hang out or pick anything up from the neighbors beaches and keep the noise levels down ... particularly after 9:00 PM.
This home is decorated with unique nautical antiques, comfortable furniture and great beds. Nearby (two miles) historic Seabeck has a great country store, expresso shop, café, gift shop and marina. You will find even more in Silverdale (15 minutes) including a shopping mall, many restaurants, cinemas, antique ships and much more. We will send more details with our information package.
The house was built in the fifties so it has some quirky things (like lights downstairs that you can only turn on with a pull switch) about it but it is very charming and most people love it ... especially the location. It is around 1400 square feet and has two floors as follows:
• Main Floor: This is the floor that you enter the house in via 3 steps from the carport or 4 steps from the front porch. It has both bathrooms, the kitchen, living area, dining area, wood burning fireplace and one of the bedrooms (with a very comfortable queen bed). One bathroom has a shower and the other has a bathtub. You can access the deck from this level which has one flight stairs to the beach.
• Downstairs: This floor is a daylight basement that you can also head out to the beach from. It has the 2nd bedroom (also with a comfortable queen bed), the laundry room and a small living area with a queen sleeper sofa and full futon. There is also a fireplace with a woodstove insert.

We had a truly wonderful experience at this home in Seabeck. I felt like I was staying at a beloved family vacation home. A bonus here is that there are only two steps to enter, and a bedroom and bath as well as living/kitchen are all on one floor. (another bedroom is downstairs) The back yard and beach are also accessible without stairs. The view is amazing--and oysters are available right on the beach. We were there in a month with no "R" so did not feel like we wanted to eat them while we were there, but will definitely go back! Very well equipped and a fun place overall.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely Scenic Beach Cottage . The decor is amazing - so many little details - and completely outfitted with anything you could want . Fantastic view ; quiet and peaceful . We saw many seals and deer - right from the deck . I highly recommend this rental .

The location is one of the best spots on the entire Hood’s Canal. Beautiful sunsets and view of Olympic Mountains!
5.0 / 5.0
This is the second time we have rented this older beach house located right on Hood Canal with a grand view of the Olympics. Across the water you can see The Brothers and very few signs of habitation.
The house is decorated with a nautical motief inside, and was furnished very tastefully. The bed were very comfortable. The house had lots of blankets, towels, and cleaning supplies. The kitchen was equipped with a good selection of condiments and excellent cooking equipment, although we didn't use the kitchen very much on this trip. Instead, we enjoyed eating at the Silver City brewery in Silverdale.
This is a good location for observing the eagles in May and June at Big Beef Creek which is only a 5-10 min drive away.
We had some trouble with one of the toilets, but the owner responded quickly and said he would have the problem fixed. Also, one of the best access roads (Newberry Hill Rd) from Silverdale is closed for the summer of 2024. Consider using Anderson Hill Rd instead if coming from Bainbridge/Seattle.

Such a fantastic week we spent here! The view of the mountains was magnificent, deer grazing in the yard, osprey and eagle flying by... great place to get away from things but still close enough to many other places to eat, shop, visit. Yes, it's an older beach house but was absolute perfection!

Our stay was very enjoyable at this location. The views are incredible! We saw seals, dolphins, eagles, and deer! It is something special to be able to wake up every morning and see a view of the water and the mountains across the way. I will say there was majority of the days where we couldn't see the mountains unfortunately because of the cloud coverage but the water was still wonderful!
The location is next to a state park that is a 5-minute drive and a 15 minute walk away from you. There's also Nick's lagoon which is about 10 minutes drive away from you as well! The little town of seabeck is pretty cool also the general store has some good souvenirs for seabeck if you are interested in that!
The house itself was okay I think the fact that the house is older means it has its special quirks. During our stay it seemed like the basement door that goes out to the beach wouldn't lock even when we locked it, it would still open. The house also appears to be a little bit slanted in the kitchen so when you walk around in the kitchen you can feel a slant near the oven. The bed was also not the most comfortable and it felt slanted as well, I think it would be a good recommendation to replace the mattress on that bed! The basement like other people mentioned in the reviews is also a little bit scary and creepy so if you bring your kids here they may be a little spooked by the basement area if they have to sleep there.
Overall, it is worth the stay for the views alone!

Our family greatly enjoyed our stay! The house is spotless, charming, and spacious with everything needed to make our stay comfortable and convenient. The fireplace made for some cozy evenings spent in the living room talking and watching movies. Oysters from the beach were delicious and a treat for our normally-landlocked family.
I love the story the walls, filled with family photos, collected decor, and maps tell! It’s easy to see that this is a cherished family retreat and that a lot of love went into creating a cozy place for guests to stay and make memories of their own.
The house is within an easy drive of Silverdale, Navy bases, and Seattle. While there, we saw abundant wildlife and greatly enjoyed watching the seals play together in the water.
Communication from the owners was professional, informative, and accommodating.
We didn’t want to leave!

Very relaxing. It rained a little but not too bad for Washington in April

Great location right on the water. Home is how its described by the owner. Kitchen was really well stocked, bathrooms were very clean and it had everything one needs for a great stay.

My family has stayed on Hood Canal before, but this was the first time we stayed in this house. We new the house was old and had some quirkiness in advance, which was fine with us.
What we loved:
- The view of the Olympics. This is the crown jewel of the property.
- Oysters: we harvested some from the beach and they were really good!
- Wildlife: We saw deer up close multiple times and saw bald eagles.
- Kitsap Lake: Beautiful nearby lake (20 minute drive) where our kids caught a couple of trout off the dock.
- Very quiet. Unlike where we’ve stayed before, there isn’t a main road right behind the house. The place is really quiet, which is great for relaxing.
What could be improved:
- The master bedroom was beautifully decorated, but the mattress was uncomfortable for two adults. I slept okay, but my wife got a sore back.
- The kids did not want to sleep in the basement. It was cold and scary to them, so they slept on the couch/chairs upstairs.
- The dining room light fixture is very bright and puts out a cold light. While it is adequate for seeing, it isn’t a warm, natural light.
Overall we liked the place, but don’t plan to stay there again. We prefer the other side of Hood Canal, which has more things we like to do.

It felt like we were coming home! This is our second stay and we couldn't have made a better choice with how we spent the Holidays. I really appreciated all of the Christmas decorations they included-again it felt so homey. The owners are excellent and very professional. There is plenty of room here so please consider giving this property a visit!

As pulling in the driveway there were 3 deer walking along the beach. Then otters, seals, eagles and more were present during our stay! The Cottage was so comfy & cozy and every amenity needed!

We gathered for the long Thanksgiving weekend. 4 spent the nights & additional family joined us for dinners & games. It's a very comfortable, nice home with spectacular views of Hood Canal & the Olympic Mountains. Beds were comfy, & kitchen was well stocked. We had a fantastic time & would definitely come back again! Thank you!!

Whoa! I celebrated a very important birthday at this lovely property and my husband and I are so overcome with joy with the quality of our stay. We saw deer, eagles and more! The place is so spacious and highly enjoyable during October. This will not be our last stay!

A cozy place to get away over a fall weekend. We enjoyed the solitude and quiet, the view over the water, and a crackling fire in the large fireplace. We found nice walking trails in nearby Guillemot Cove during the day. Overall a great taste of the Hood Canal and Kitsap peninsula.

I do not understand the requirements to be a VRBO rental! The portion of the house past the basement wall has sunken a couple of inches. Some kitchen cabinets were hard to open and the counter tilted to the outer wall. The basement smelled musky and mold was a concern. My husband slipped on the outside steps which do not have grip strips. View was awesome but not enough to go back.

Fabulous place…the only bump in the road was a wasp nest under the deck that limited our time on the deck. Otherwise we had a wonderful anniversary there.

This is the second time that I have stayed at this property and will hopefully be able to come annually for years to come!
The house is extremely clean and cozy with everything you could ever need! The view is breathtaking from the beautiful top deck!

This is a older beach house located right on Hood Canal with a grand view of the Olympics. Across the water you can see The Brothers and very few signs of habitation.
We sat on the deck one evening and saw a pod of porpoises swim by. There was also a flock of ducks feeding, fish jumping, and kayakers.
The house is decorated with a nautical motief inside, and was furnished very tastefully. Both beds were very comfortable. The house had lots of blankets, towels, and cleaning supplies. The kitchen was equipped with a good selection of condiments and excellent cooking equipment.
The only shower was very tight and we suggest putting a shower in the larger bathroom which only has a bath tub.
This is a good location for observing the eagles in May and June at Big Beef Creek which is only a 5-10 min drive away.

Our family needed a place to decompress and this was the perfect spot. Comfortable home with everything you need (good beds, well stocked kitchen, etc.) in a great location. We loved all of the outdoor spots - the upper & lower decks have comfortable furniture, umbrellas for when it is sunny, and incredible views. Would definitely return!

Great place to stay if you want stunning views in the area. Alot of wildlife (eagles, seals, dolphins) right in front of you. Owners are very transparent regarding the type of neighborhood and age of the home. Would stay again! Only note would be that is was tough having only a shower stall. This just coming from two women with a lot of hair. The other bathroom is just a tub, no shower head.

The house was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed a nice week of picturesque views . The location was far enough to experience the calm beach house vibe with a short drive to shopping and good eats.

Thanks for a very restful weekend at your waterfront property! Very peaceful and clean. Instructions from the owners were very detailed and informative. The view was out of this world even on those cold late fall mornings!

My husband and I came up to spend Thanksgiving with the family. I have been trying to talk him into moving back to the area. I miss the woods, the elevation, the rain and the water. This cozy little house provided all. The owners were kind enough to leave the porch lights on for us since they knew we were driving up from California. The house is tucked away from any busy roads and all you can hear is the waves of the bay lapping across the shore. Opening the door through the carport enters you through to the kitchen. You are treated with modern appliances and every kitchen gadget you could need. It is seriously the best stocked kitchen I have ever rented. Around the massive fireplace is the living space. Dinning room to the right and couches to the left. Behind each is a large set of windows with a perfect view of the Olympic Mountains. The upstairs also contains a bedroom with a queen bed with more gorgeous views and two bathrooms, one with an itty bitty shower and the other with a bathtub. Downstairs has another fireplace, couch and toys and the second bedroom with a queen bed. Both floors have access to the beach. While we didn’t spend too much time out there I did observe that there was plenty of seating and grill.
The only two things that I wish I new before hand is that due to the age of the house not all of the rooms are equipped with locking door knobs. Also the temperature downstairs is dramatically cooler than the upstairs. Which wouldn’t be an issue in the summer but in November was not the ideal time to be downstairs.
The owners were nice to work with, very accommodating.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is located right on Hood Canal. We spent hours on the deck and on the shoreline enjoying the sound of the water and the view across the canal of the Olympic mountain range.
We launched our 2 person inflatable kayak right in front of the house and had a couple wonderful early morning paddles up and down the shoreline.
The house has all the kitchen utensils, pots, pans and dishes you will need. We prepared several meals.
The owners were very attentive, answered all of our questions quickly and were very helpful.

Perfect Seaside Escape
I have never heard such quiet in my life. Early mornings with coffee and that view, watching the eagles and the seals…so relaxing. This home is equipped with everything you could possibly need and working and communicating with Mike was so easy and very informative!

Mommy and me
I’m a mom of three little kids and I wanted to take them somewhere off the beaten path. This was it. We had the comforts of home, but only turned on the tv once! Nature captivated the kids and we had a blast going on day hikes and exploring nature.
Thanks a bunch!

Beautiful Retreat
Picturesque setting with wonderful views. Quiet area to enjoy the solitude from the back deck. Neighbors on both sides but rarely heard a peep from them. Grandkids loved hunting for abundant seashells. Deer and raccoons liked it too!

A little slice of Heaven
Our stay was perfect from beginning to end! From the great communication with the owner to the beautiful home/property. Such a peaceful location with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The wildlife was incredible! Eagles, deer, hummingbirds, sea otters, seals…the list goes on and on. Looking forward to going back!

Million Dollar View
The house is cozy and charming. However, the view is a million dollar view. We saw seals, dolphins, bald eagles, and hummingbirds every day on the deck. We could not have asked for more. This is an older charming beach house that is well used and loved so if you are looking for a modern sterile home, this is not that place. However, it had all the amenities we needed. We loved it and relaxed on the deck for hours. There are some quirks to the house but it is exactly as presented and as the pictures show. I would definitely rent again.

Beautiful stay in Seabeck, WA
My husband and I had a wonderful stay in Seabeck, WA. The home was clean, check in was a breeze and the view was captivating for a quiet few days. The kitchen has everything you need with more condiments available than we have seen in other rentals.

Great Stay / Great Property Manager
The property is absolutely beautiful!!! Although houses are in close proximation of each other, there was no issue with "busy bodies". The property is right on the water. Every day we were there (8 days) we saw sea life (seals, otters, and even an Eagle landed on the rale of the porch)! It was a fantastic experience for our family. The house is well maintained for its age. The property manager was so helpful and answered emails very quickly. It was a perfect!!

The property was as described. It is and older home, but it was very clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Check-in was a breeze. We enjoyed seeing deer and also spotted an eagle perched above the home. We loved the water and mountain view!
