180 Degree Ocean View Home! Nye Beach area and just two blocks walk to the beach! Easy walking distance , 1/2 mile, to the Nye Beach shopping/restaurant district. This single level home is our vacation home and not just a rental thus you will find it very well appointed, clean and continually updated. We visit the home ourselves once every month! Sorry, no pets.
NOTE: Neighbor is a fire official and monitors compliance tightly (which is great). Newport Uniform Fire Code limits the total number of occupants at any one time for this size of home. Strict compliance is required. Fire official will require immediate vacation of premises for non compliance (safety requirements). Having this official as our neighbor also ensures a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood.
OK, back to the good stuff! This home is located in the beachfront portion of a very quiet neighborhood with 180 degrees of unobstructed views. The home is considered to be an 'ocean front' home as opposed to just an 'ocean view' home due to its proximity to and quality views of the ocean and beaches. Many so called 'ocean view' homes are located too far East in their neighborhoods to truly see, hear or smell the individual ocean waves or are several miles North or South of the famous Nye Beach district where walking to shopping and superb restaurants are impractical. In this home you can literally see and hear the individual waves breaking and smell the salty fresh ocean air. Regardless of the weather the spectacular views and calming sounds of the breaking surf will keep you mesmerized and relaxed.

Beach access: Walk south, two blocks on the street below our house, and beach trail head starts at the 1310 Spring Street mailbox. See beach trail photos showing exact location and trail quality. Drive-up beach access is located at Nye Beach and Agate Beach less than .5 miles from the home.
Nye Beach and the Nye Beach shopping and restaurant district is just a 12 minute walk. Agate Beach is just a 2 minute drive North of the house.
Extremely quiet road leading to house and to the beach helps ensure you and kids are safe from traffic and noise. You literally might have just one car per day drive past this house as local traffic exits the neighborhood to either the left or right of our house.
Captain's bedroom and dining room open up to a spectacular, brand new, 8 x 30 stainless steel post and infinity glass (no rail in sight line) ocean/beach view deck. On deck are 4 Adirondack chairs and stainless steel grill for an amazing grilling experience.
In the Captain's bedroom is a Serta Perfect Sleeper cushion top mattress. In the two other bedrooms there is new furniture and a queen size and full size mattress.
June 1st to August 31st a 4 or 5 night minimum is required. Depending on dates.During the month of September a 3 night minimum is required.
Christmas, Thanksgiving and Spring break a 3 night minimum is required.
October 1st to May 31st a 2 or 3 night minimum is required depending on dates.

As promised, the first word out of our 2 year old’s mouth was, “Wow!” The house was exactly as described. It would be even better if the path to the beach was smoother, but the reviews had already warned us about that so we weren’t surprised.

This place is great! The photos accurately describe the property. It is well stocked with everything you need for a week away. The trail down the beach was steep, but doable for healthy adults and kids. There’s more level beach access a five min drive north or south. The neighborhood is incredibly quiet. Blackberries lined all the trails and roads. I hope to be back one day and would happily stay here again.

This 3 BR/2BA (+kid loft) house is just as pictured. Very clean, well-furnished and decorated. The beach access path is a short walk and is better than I expected with mulch and gravel. Exceptional views from the large picture windows and deck. Very quiet neighborhood. Close to everything. Recommend putting a shelf in the MBA shower.

The views from this property were absolutely breathtaking and the beach home exceeded our expectations. Communicating with the property owners was very easy and they were tremendous about answerinf any questions we had. I highly recommend this property and look forward to going back!

We loved our stay! The view was amazing and the short walk down to the beach was perfect for our younger kids. They loved the loft and there was plenty of space for us. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials, they even had a blender and we made smoothies. Quiet street and easy to get anywhere along the coast. Great tidepools at the beach that was walking distance too!

I am terrible about planning ahead of time and decided I wanted to go to the beach with my family of 4 and one of my kiddo's friends for the 4th about a week beforehand. I love the idea of having a house on the beach, but that is so hard to find so we usually have to stay at the not-so-appealing hotels along the beach. I decided to try searching for a house rental and came across this listing. I thought I would take a chance and hoped the description of the view was true....and it was! We walked in and were entranced with the beauty of the large windows and the gorgeous ocean! I loved the lighthouse off in the distance, too. This place just felt so comfortable and I spent many hours between the deck chairs and the indoor chairs facing the large windows towards the ocean in meditation mode or reading. It was splendid and so very relaxing. We spent the actual 4th just a short drive away at Yaquina Bay.
I loved the little touches, like the otters in the shower tiles and the porthole window in the master bath. It was very cool, and I will definitely stay there again!

We were fortunate to book this house on relatively short notice. The views from the living room and deck are incredible. While the floor plan is a bit cozy, the overall experience was fantastic. The listing is accurate and the hosts were responsive. The only drawback (and it’s a minor one) is the short walk to the beach access.

As described in the listing, this house is a cozy house, perfect for our group of 3. It has a 180-degree view of the ocean, with incredible sunsets. Very conveniently located right in Newport, to many attractions, restaurants, etc... The house had all the conveniences of home, including a well-equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, and renovated bathrooms. The day we arrived we had unusually warm weather. With no air conditioning, and only minimal coverings on the plate glass windows, it was very warm in the house. At one point it was 82 degrees in the house, and no real way to cool it down. Fortunately, the main bedroom has a sliding glass door, so it was cooler. The other 2 bedrooms were cooler as they were on the east side of the house. It would've been be nice if the windows had screens, so that we could have kept windows open to cool the bedrooms.

We loved the view! Kids loved the loft. Comfy beds. Nice kitchen. Curtain over the sliding door would be good as the sun was in our eyes a couple dinners. Netflix was logged out but we brought our own dvds to play on our laptop (dvd players must be a thing of the past). Overall, we would stay here again. Thanks!

We got the perfect weather to help us enjoy Thanksgiving week in Newport, OR. Being perched up high on the shoreline allowed the best views from the house. Walks on the beach were a daily routine. Our family discussed when we could find time to revisit the same location. It was an excellent trip for us.

The moment we walked into the full view of the beautiful Pacific ocean, I knew we were in for an incredible weekend. I didn't want to leave the deck or the front room. We had every type of weather, from warm sunshine, to sideways wind and rain, but it was all spectacular from this home! It was a very short walk to the beach. I can't wait to go back.

We had a wonderful time at this house. It’s the ideal beach house- close to everything, but it’s in a quiet, secluded neighborhood. It has an amazing ocean view, and beach access within walking distance. We even got to enjoy the deck (in November!) when the sun came out for a bit. Everything was clean and well maintained. The owner was very responsive to text messages when we had an issue.
The only thing we felt the house needed was window coverings for the living room windows. It was a little uncomfortable to be in the living room at night with the lights on. It was especially odd that the windows that face the ocean have coverings, but not the windows that face the neighbor’s house.
Overall, it was a great experience and we will be back!

We have stayed at this beautiful house several times over the last several years, somehow each time it gets better and better! The view doesn’t get more perfect, the house setup allows guests to enjoy the ocean even when the weather doesn’t cooperate or when the littles need to take a nap. The location is quiet yet close enough to all the great things in Newport. The owners are fantastic, we look forward to each trip and cannot wait to come back!

What a great place! We didn't cook at all, but the kitchen was pretty well stocked. Location / views were breathtaking. We spent hours counting the whale spouts :-), and I miss falling asleep to the waves.

Absolutely wonderful stay. This is the best vacation home we’ve rented. It was family friendly for our two year old and they had all of the beach toys and gear you could possibly need making it so much easier in terms of packing. We will 100% return with our family, we made so many beautiful memories and thank the host for opening their home to us.

Our family stayed at the house for week and enjoyed our time. The property is a great location, close to the beach and other activities like Nye Beach and Bayfront. The view was incredible especially at sunset. You can easily reach the beach by using the marked trail or if you didn't want to walk, Nye Beach or Agate Beach access is close by.
The house is family friendly. Our kids enjoyed the loft area and playing Life several times.

We could see whale spouts out in the ocean and wished we had brought binoculars! Our visit to this home was awesome. From the second we walked in and saw the view from the panoramic windows overlooking the ocean, I knew we made the right choice. Clean and comfortable, we enjoy having Thanksgiving with our family here. Beach access was only a few steps away, and we enjoyed the daily walks on the beach and into town. We even were lucky enough to see beautiful sunsets and the King Tides roll in. We'll be back, that's for sure!
