About this house rental
This unit is a totally private wing of Spokane Riverfront home. (approximately 900 square feet). This is perhaps the most desirable river location in the CDA-Post Falls region, with over 164' of shoreline. Its river island creates a unique sanctuary for geese, sea gulls, occasional local bald eagles, and blue herons. We have observed muskrats, beavers, river otters, moose and deer. We also have a waterfall that brings many with cameras, and expressions of its beauty.
Owner of this vacation rental is a licensed realtor in Idaho and Washington. If you are looking at a second home, or relocation...Carla can show you listings.
The location is tucked inside a private road, near Highway 90, hosting only 3 homes.
Kayaks are available here, or you can rent jet skis or paddle boards or a pontoon boat near the Templin Inn 1/4 mile away.

We had a great vacation in this excellent home. The views and access to the Spokane river are awesome.

The location, the hospitality, and the space were all top notch and an unbelievable stay in northern Idaho close to the downtown and close to local restaurants and shops. Really a wonderful stay and would recommend to anyone to experience. Only note is location has some stairs so be aware for accessibility. But our son loved the location- views of the river and relaxing on the dock and kayaking down the river! Can’t beat it.

We stayed at this incredible property for 5 heavenly days. It was so beautiful and the Bonneys are amazing hosts. It was honestly hard to leave for any reason because the view was so delightful. We used the dock to swim and dangle our feet in the water and it was so relaxing for that second cup of coffee.
The interior was spacious and clean and perfect. We honestly can’t say enough about how incredible the property was inside and out and how wonderful the hosts were.
We will definitely come back again and again!

Carla was an amazing host - personally greeting us upon arrival and showing us the basics of the property. She was also incredibly accommodating and flexible when the airlines delayed our arrival 1 day and agreed to shift our dates out by 1 day to accommodate. We really appreciated this. The best part of this property is the incredible patio and views overlooking the river. We really enjoyed cooking meals and sitting on the patio looking out onto the scenic view. The inside was cozy and had all the basics you need for a comfortable stay. Loved this beautiful property and I definitely recommend it.

We really enjoyed out stay. The property and location are beautiful. Easy access to Couer d'Alene, but you don't really need to leave Post Falls!

Unbelievable location and property, the Spokane river is right below , beckoning to look at, go down to, have a fire beside it, and maybe just jump in. Had to pinch ourselves daily that it wasnt a dream- it was the most perfect time ever.

The pros - Lovely view from the two decks and a nice quiet and convenient location if you don't want to be right in Couer D'Alene. It's great if you're using it as a home base for day trips. You will love having a drink on the deck in the evening.
The owners are very pleasant to deal with.
The cons - There seemed to be some lack of attention to detail. Two of the three sliding doors had no screens so we were unable to have good air flow. I asked the owner about it and he said they were being fixed - a renter ran through them. Doesn't take long to fix a screen and if they couldn't get them repaired, they could have purchased replacement ones. It was 85 degrees so air flow was important and lacking.
Then we had a mice problem. I own a cottage and know they can get in most anywhere so I tried not to let it bother me but I did not appreciate having to clean their droppings off the counter or take out sprung traps during my vacation. That really would not have bothered me too much except the owner indicated that they may have come in when someone left the slider open (the vermin could not have come in had they had a screen in place and the screens have evidently been missing for a while.).
Finally, we loved the fact that they had kayaks we could use. The river is lovely. However, getting to the kayaks was another attention to detail problem. The spider webs on the dock were at least 3 feet in diameter, complete with rather large spiders. Again, I know spiders will make their webs anywhere, but the owners should be going down there daily to keep it web-free for guests.
Would I return to this property? No. But do I think they could make it a great place to visit if they paid more attention? Absolutely.

Carla and Warren were so wonderful and friendly, the home was so inviting and beautiful, they had wine, water, and drinks available when we walked in! They also had fresh laid chicken eggs for breakfast! We felt so comfortable and enjoyed the kayaks and the beautiful views of the lake! I think they have the most gorgeous view of the lake, because there is an island right in front that is so pretty! We would definitely come back and stay! We had a very memorable and fun time!

This is a wonderful property. Our hosts, the Bonneys, live in a connected home. They could not have been nicer or more helpful. They were Johnny-on -the-spot to help when we needed them, and they also gave us complete privacy.

This was the best place I have stayed thus far. It was inviting, easy, and great people. Highly recommend.

If I hadn’t lost my car key we wouldn’t have noticed the underfurniture dust. As advertised, our stay was well-supported by our hosts, private, relaxing, and memorable .. We rented a boat from a nearby marina, fished, shopped, and enjoyed coffee, sunrises, waterviews of the quiet river water location, cocktails, and stargazing from the raised plexiglass railed deck. We all hope to go back and bring our friends! Thank you so much, Carla, for a wonderful experience at your beautiful property!

Amazing property!! Super clean, from the moment you hit the driveway, play a little one on one hoops, 14 steps to the one of the best views of the river you’ll find anywhere, the waterfall is magic!! Thank you for your thoughtfulness with the wine, beer water etc, everything to start your perfect stay!!
These guys understand hospitality, book and enjoy!
We’ll be back…… if you’ll have us!!!
Thank you again, we all understand the investment involved with our choice of vacation spot, this one is a “slam dunk!”

We had a great time. Came here for 5 days for my birthday. Carla and Warren are great hosts!! Their son in law rents his boat out so we did that one day Blake was a amazing boat guide. The girls had a blast on the Lilly pad but they said a slide would be amazing!! Thanks again for the great vacation!!

We recently had our family come in from Michigan. After their long commute it was wonderful to walk into a home that had everything we needed to start our vacation. We were so grateful for all the beverages supplied. As well as all the water toys down by the river. We loved everything about our stay. The weather was pretty hot but thankful the air conditioning in the home gave us a place to get out of the sun. We would most definitely stay here again. We took tons of photos and made great memories.
Thank you!!

Property was very well taken care of, located on Spokane River. We brought our boat and there is very convenient access to a boat launch only minutes away at Q'emiln Park. There is also a marina with fuel available located only minutes up river between the Park and the property. Nicely cared for dock and easy to reach Lake Coeur d'Alene. Property owners were great to work with! Would definitely recommend.

Excellent location
We rented this with another couple. It was so nice we are going back in 2023. Know, there are lots of stairs, so you'll get exercise. We had 2 boats and the dock worked for both of them. I had to do some online work while there and the wifi is acceptable for a laptop. A firestick required I create a hot spot in the sitting area. It is small but very clean and nice. If you are coming to ski or board better get up very early as the river gets cut up by surfers by mid morning. Overall for us, 5 stars.

Amazing stay in Post Falls!
This is my family of four's second time staying here (one week each time). Carla and her family are very welcoming and easy to communicate with. The house has amazing views from all windows and is fully stocked for cooking, linens etc. The river is great for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and having fun. The drive to Coeur d'Alene is about 10 minutes - very easy. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Stay over thanksgiving weekend
My family and I stayed here last year and again this year. The place is very well kept, Carla has given attention to the smallest details to make the stay comfortable. Beautiful location as well.

Perfect Location, Gracious Host
This place was exactly what we were hoping for. If anything, the photos downplayed the beauty of the location. Hosts met us at checkin, gave us a short tour and welcomed us with a bottle of wine. Entire week was wonderful, with by plenty of activity nearby and a very short trip into CdA. Would definitely love to return.

Best Vacation Experience Ever!
The property offered everything noted and more! We entertained family and friends from 6 years old to 80. There was something for everyone and the indoor and outdoor space is so well appointed that we never ran out of room. The view of the river is stunning, the location is private but convenient. We all enjoyed swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. The kitchen had everything we needed and the washer and dryer was so helpful. If you have mobility issues, be aware there are 19 stairs going to the unit but they are solid and well built. There are also stairs and stone path to the dock but plenty of places to pause and take in the view if needed. We have vacationed in many remarkable places, but this trip was so relaxing and low key. Everything we needed and wanted was right there. We began planning our next trip before we even made it home! Thank you for the memories!
