Casa Guincho is for lovers of nature, space, ocean and light. It is where your horizons expand as you sit in the garden with a glass of local wine and take in the breathtaking views over the green valley national park towards Guincho beach and the surrounding countryside.
A unique family home with a great vibe in an elevated location offering spacious living, amazing sunsets, lots of light and cosy bedrooms. The moment you arrive you will feel ready to unwind and enjoy quiet moments under the olive trees, BBQ lunches, candle lit dinners and chilling with friends and family by the large salt water pool (11x5 meters).
Picture yourself waking up in the mornings and walking out onto a terra-cotta terrace as you sit down with your morning coffee. Imagine the perfect place for your yoga practice or meditation. A dream house, where standing in the lounge and looking out through the huge window, you have a birds-eye view over the tree tops to the rolling Guincho waves in the near distance.
The house boasts a modern kitchen, comfy furniture to enjoy the western-facing view, as well as a salt-water tiled pool and plenty of chill-out spots to choose from across the multiple outdoor areas.
Casa Guincho is set on a shared property, where you will enjoy your private saltwater pool and garden. The property is located in the typical small village of Charneca, only 5 minutes’ drive from Cascais and Estoril. The stunning Guincho beach (where you will be able to surf, windsurf, chill out at the beach bar or simply soak up the sun!) is a couple of minutes’ drive away, or 15-20 minutes’ walk from the house, through a beautiful green valley in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. In Charneca, there is a small supermarket, a couple of local cafés, a restaurant, an equestrian centre, a tennis court, as well as a bus stop. Within a couple of minutes’ drive, you will reach the nearby villages of Aldeia de Juso and Areia. Aldeia de Juso is the place to go if you want fresh local produce, and Areia is the “surfer hub” of Cascais, being right next to the Guincho sand-dunes, with a wide variety of local cafes and lively restaurants, suited to everyone’s price range! Even though a quiet and peaceful location in which to spend relaxing holidays, the village of Charneca has a typical "local life" with a welcoming community and is only 2,5 km away from the A5, the motorway connection to Portugal’s bustling capital, Lisbon! A few minutes drive leads you to the ocean-facing road from Guincho to Cascais, along which you can find some of the best seafood restaurants in the region.

Our stay in Céline, Luca and Manon’s home was just perfection. You can’t help but sigh a big breath of relief and relaxation as soon as you walk in with the calming decor and magical views. Luca and Manon were so incredibly helpful throughout our stay, going above and beyond to make sure we felt at home and had all the recommendations we needed - we also highly recommend a surf lesson with Luca at Shaka Surf Centre. The icing on the cake were the three dogs who greeted us as we got back each day, gorgeous Blue, Alan and Rosie - there’s nothing like coming home from a long day on a beach to a joyful wagging tail. We can’t wait to return!

The house is beautiful and large. The kitchen is very well stocked. The view is gorgeous!! David and Celine were such wonderful hosts! I had never traveled internationally before and had a lot of questions. Their responses were prompt and informative. They suggested restaurants and different places to see. They also set up a yoga class, guided hike and a chef and a local woman to bring a meal. I highly recommend all of them!! Do the meal(s) early in your stay and you will definitely have leftovers to help with lunches and dinners throughout the week. We took Ubers everywhere. It was so easy. We never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for one and we needed an extra large vehicle because there were six of us. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this vacation was. I’m sure I’m leaving something out. I highly recommend this beautiful house because of the location, amenities and most importantly, the hosts that make you feel like you’re at home. Thank you David and Celine!

We enjoyed this beautiful home near Cascais for 4 nights. Celine and David were wonderful hosts and were super helpful with sightseeing, dining and shopping recommendations. The house was perfect, clean and spacious with a fully stocked kitchen, all the amenities you need and views from almost every room in the house! While it was too cold to enjoy the beautiful pool, we enjoyed our time and would return if the opportunity presents itself. Thank you Celine and David!

Our stay was wonderful at Casa Guincho! A group of 8 of us were in town for the Cascais Ironman and absolutely enjoyed our stay during our time. The house is clean, spacious, secure, and has gorgeous views. 10/10 would recommend for those traveling to Cascais. Manon and Céline were gracious hosts, thanks again to you both!

Located in a village above the spectacular Guincho beach, stunning views of the ocean and sunsets. The walk to the beach is just over a mile, most in our group preferred getting Uber or Bolt car back up to the house (from the car parking area). Great beach bars and a restaurant, toilets and showers available, and surfing lessons!
The house is spacious and very comfortable for a group. 2 primary suites with private bathrooms. 3 other rooms share a bathroom and there is a toilet on the main level. The kitchen very well appointed but no microwave. :-) The pool was very refreshing and a great treat after a day at the beach.
The village has a small market and restaurant very close to the house and additional markets and lovely restaurants nearby. We did not have a car, but had no problem getting around, mostly with Uber (Bolt is a local similar car app).
Our hosts were amazing and very helpful. We had a great stay and would highly recommend. We’re already talking about coming back! Obrigada Manon, ciao for now!

Everything about our stay at Casa Guincho was superb, from the help provided by Celine ahead of our arrival (arranging surfing, yoga, at home cooking etc.) to the property itself which is simply beautiful and in the most idyllic location a 20 minute walk from Praia do Guincho. If we needed anything our hosts were always super responsive and helpful. All in a great holiday experience.

I've been planning my 50th birthday party for over 5 years and in the process, looked at hundreds of houses to rent for a group of 8 of my friends. Choosing this house was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
My friends are women that are hard to impress and I was a little nervous to get something they all would love. They have lived all over the world and have incredible taste, and this stunning house exceeded everyone's expectations. It was even better than it looked in the photos, and the hosts were wonderful, warm and responsive.
The house itself is clean, spacious and gorgeously decorated without being fussy. It beautifully open to the view of the ocean, but also has lots of areas to sit quietly on your own (not that we did that). The sunsets took our breath away.
Thank you so much to Celine and Luca for making this a trip I will never forget. Your recommendations were just perfect and your house is so special. I couldn't have ever imagined a more magical experience.

Our group of 8 (parents plus 6 kids 20-30) have just had 8 nights at Casa Quincho.
We absolutely loved the house, the pool and yard, the beautiful view, the area, little local restaurants/bars and the relaxed feel of the house. We didn’t want to leave!
The house was spotless, the rooms big and lots of spaces to chill by yourself or as a group. The kitchen had absolutely everything you could need and we loved cooking on the bbq and eating round the pool.
Céline, David, Luca and Elena were fantastic to deal with, quick to respond and always happy to answer questions!

Comfortable and nice apartment
My husband and I spent four days in November 2013 and we stayed at this apartment. It is situated on the third floor of the building you can see in the picture and it is clear, sunny and spacious. Everything is very neat. The street is quiet and lovely.
It is also very well communicated with buses and tramways, if you don´t like walking.
In the kitchen there are all you need to prepare your meals.
I hope to go back to this litttle house in Amsterdam.

Perfect location, ideal for families with kids
Charming house in a unique location. We were two families sharing the house, 7 kids (9-18 y) and 4 adults. Two kids on mattress on floor as planned. Ideal location in peaceful small town. Very nice room solution, ideally equipped for families, kept clean and well maintained. Successful swimming pool that was regularly cleaned. A very nice garden, but too small for ball playing.
Walking distance from Guincho beach.
Very supportive owner/manager and perfect customer service.
We would suggest this property for friends and family and would like to come back on a later occasion.

Really amazing villa with beautiful view
This is a really fantastic villa- even better than the photo's show. The villa itself is really homely and nicely furnished with plenty of room and lots of different nice areas. Out front the bbq area catches the sun really nicely first thing in the morning - great to sit out with a coffee.
The pool area is really fantastic with a lovely dramatic view over the pine-tree laden hills down to guincho beach and up toward Sintra in the other direction- its well positioned for long days of sun and watching the sun go down in the evening (we also enjoyed the lovely clear view at night - lots of constellations and shooting stars!)
The local village itself just has a small shop and cafe with basic amenities but a nice 10 or 15 min walk away there is a larger mini supermarket which has most things you need (and also a cafe, bakery, butcher and chemist).... the local beach (Guincho) was also about 10 minutes walk - but its a lovely walk through the pine trees- when you get there its a great expanse of golden sand and there is a nice cafe and separate restaurant there- great beach for surfing and bodyboarding
Its a nice quiet location but it is really easy to get to Cascais where there is much more going on (Bars, restaurants, big supermarket..) we ended up getting taxis as they were really cheap and quick (about 5 or 6 Euro) and the local taxi service came within about 5 mins of calling them every time (though there is a regular bus as well that stops right outside the Villa) . Cascais is a nice town with several more family type beaches ( a lot busier than Guincho with calmer water- a bit more touristy) nice mosaiced streets and a nice big park, interesting statues etc .. also from here there is an easy train to Lisbon which is only about 30 mins and runs pretty late (I think the last one back was after midnight)
Everything was really special with the house and the area and all the people we met were all very friendly and lovely- wish we could have stayed longer! Hope to go back soon

Wonderful holiday in Casa Quincho
We spend wonderful holiday in casa quincho in march! The house is very big and very well equipped. Scenery is beautifull. You can see the pine hills and behind them atlantic ocean. You can even hear the ocean when the night falls end everything is quiet. The couple who owns the house are very friendly and made us feel like home. Children are wellcome and in fact the yard of the house is very safe. One thing we enjoyed much was the nice walks throught the beautiful valley to the beach. The path starts from corner of the house. Last day David and Celine(owners) made us a wonderful lunch so we went home stomachs full of good food and remembrance of the sun and feeling that in Portugal we were among friends!! We certainly will return to the Casa Quincho. H-p and Minna from Finland.
