Loved the area. Right in heart of historic district. Old houses understandably in south could have rodent issues but they could have at least picked up the big roach right out in the open. Unfortunately it appeared one traveled with us to our next destination. It didn’t ruin great trip but can’t be left out of the review.

Love the charm of the home. Great location. Cool historic house. You should be aware that this home is pretty much not updated. The owner will probably couch this as the home being "historic". Which I get - but it needs some work on basic creature comforts. It was clean, and the beds were acceptable. Kitchen was workable with decent furnishings. Furniture was acceptable.
Cons: The owner has notes on the thermostats that forbid you from lowering the A/C below 74! One of the HVAC units is old and the house is not super well-insulated so if you like it cold inside during the Savannah summer, you probably want to pass this one.
Washer and dryer are in the unfinished cellar accessed by going outside of the house. The dryer doesn't stay on unless you keep it pressed down. There was a brick and a paint can (conveniently left on top) to use to lean against the "start" button. That's right, you read that correctly.
The plumbing and fixtures are old and worn out. The old tubs are very cool, but they are very worn and kind of gross. Kids didn't like using them because the shower curtains touch you when you shower and they are old and worn too. Didn't bother me except the master shower needs some work as the handles fall off and the pressure is weak due to valves that are old.
The TVs don't really work. There's no cable channels available. Again, we didn't care but you might.
The kitchen is very dark. Watch out for the threshold in the downstairs bathroom (stubbed toes)

Great location in a very walkable neighborhood. Close to local coffee shops & a large Kroger grocery store.
There were multiple cockroaches around the house (entryway & in each bedroom). Albeit they were dead, it was still clear that the floors had not been swept.
Overall, would recommend this to large groups/families. All appliances were in working condition & aside from the cockroaches (which it is an older house so somewhat expected) everything was clean.

Lovely historic property within walking distance to all the squares, churches and culture that Savannah is known for. Our family walked each day to tour historic sites and to enjoy shops and restaurants. The free trolley was a bonus when our energy ran low. This property was as described and the management company reached out via text to ensure we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend.

A great location in a fun city. 6 of us visited my daughter who lives there and the place was plenty big and well maintained. The dinner table was big enough for all although I am glad we brought a good bit of cooking dishes and platters. All in all a great time.

Your Comments The place was good! Overall, we had a great time. And the space was big enough for our group of 8. Definitely wished the floors were cleaner, as all of the bottoms our socks were black after the first night. And, had we known the provided necessities were going to be so sparse, we would have packed better. Each bathroom only had 1 roll of toilet paper. Only one of the bathrooms had hand soap, and it was barely full - ran out during the second night. And the provided shampoo and conditioner, was two 1oz bottles of a shampoo/conditioner duo. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the quantity of the essentials provided in a house claimed to suit 8 people. We would have been better off in a hotel for that reason alone.

FANTASTIC

This historic home is charming and in a great location. However, our stay was disappointing. The home was clean, but run down. Decorations and furnishings were dirty and inexpensive. It’s obvious that the investor hasn’t maintained or invested in the property.
Most importantly, the air conditioning didn’t work throughout the house, which led to two days of +80 degrees upstairs, where three of us were sleeping. Further, the bathrooms upstairs were not properly equipped for guests. The shower heads didn’t work in the en-suite and both showers had moldy shower liners. Lamps weren’t plugged in, and the cords were too short to reach the single outlets in each room. Fans were found throughout the house, but some of them didn’t work. Cheap TVs didn’t have streaming or functional cable service.
The kitchen and downstairs bathroom were highlights, as they were functional and ready for guests. Unfortunate that a charming historic home is being managed and rented out in such a poor state.

Hi! I brought my Girl Scout troop to Savannah and we stayed at this property. We absolutely loved the charm of staying in an old Southern home. The beds were really comfortable and the girls loved hanging out in the living room and dining room area.
It was easy to walk to our destinations from this location and it felt like a really safe neighborhood. We loved the fact that there was always available street parking for the suburban that we rented and we didn't have to pay to park it overnight.
The only downfall was the old showers. The water pressure wasn't the best and the shower curtain tended to stick to the person inside the shower. But honestly, we felt like that added to the ambiance of staying in an old home and made for some funny stories. Thank you for letting us rent your lovely home. It made the trip that we waited for three years so memorable!

Overall this is a good stay and the location is great. However we didn’t have hot water on the first day. I was able to contact the property and someone came out to fix it but it was a bit of a disappointment not being able to shower day one. Parking can also be tricky since it’s all street parking but the location is great & a short $10 Uber to anywhere needed. Would recommend.

The house was clean and accurate as depicted in the pictures. However, we had a few maintenance issues. The door is an electronic lock and the battery died while we were there at 10pm and we had a hard time getting in touch with someone after hours. We were eventually able to get in but had to have someone come fix the lock the next morning. We also didn't have hot water the entire time we were there. Overall, we enjoyed the stay, minus the few issues that we had.

Overall this property was just ok. The property is not quite as pictured in the listing and is not family friendly for smaller children. There was paint peeling in multiple areas. The updated downstairs bathroom was poorly remodeled and the shower has large gaps where the fixtures come out of the wall. The outdoor area was not very well kept and there was dead cockroaches all around on the patio, but at least they were dead lol! There was only basic cable and there was only a few watchable channels and you had to have a fire stick or roku with you to watch anything which we did not , and having children this was not ideal. We did appreciate that the management company allowed us to end our stay earlier.

The house was exactly as pictured. It was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were very comfortable. The location was within walking distance to the grocery store. We enjoyed being able to walk and bike to the riverfront and surrounding shopping/restaurant areas. We were able to park right in front of, or very close to the house whenever we took our car out.

Beautiful historic home
We had a wonderful stay at this property. This beautiful historic home is nicely furnished and comfortable. The best part is that it’s right in Historic Savannah and walking distance to so many great restaurants, shops, squares, and Savannah interests. We would love to stay here again.

Very nice house, with charming character.
Good location, not too far not to close to river street. Save location. Easy street parking. Walking distance grocery store was a pleasant surprise. Clean house with all the essentials. Confortable beds and spacious rooms. Overall great rental.

Great Stay
I went down to Savannah for my sisters Bachelorette Party. The house was perfect for the bridal party! The house was clean and spacious. Looks exactly like the pictures. The host was very communicative and available. The only issue we had was the overhead rain showers in both upstairs bathrooms did not work. But other than that the house was perfect! Would definitely recommend!

Great Location with Street Parking
We love Savannah and have stayed in many rental houses over the years. The property management team is always responsive. The location of this property is fantastic. It's easily walkable and well situated relative to where you want to be in Savannah. Street parking is abundant (even during the St. Patricks Day festivities), which isn't a small thing in the city. That said, the property itself needs quite a bit of work. Our party of seven was comfortable, but the front porch is not in good shape and also needs to be cleaned. The handrail is quite dangerous. My children and my elderly in-laws almost fell through the guardrail, not realizing it would not support any weight. The vegetation is also somewhat overgrown and unkempt. Several pieces of furniture inside are broken and would have been dangerous for an adult to sit in if they weren't paying attention. Hot water was hit or miss during our stay. On our departure morning, my son had cockroaches in his shoes. I'm not picky or pretentious and old houses all have their stories, but this house needs some love. It could be a gem with a modest investment and could demand a higher rental rate which I would happily pay given it's location, ease on ingress and egress, and parking.

Friends Getaway
The location was perfect. The furniture in the living room and dining room were somewhat uncomfortable especially the chairs in the living room and dining room chairs. The claw foot tubs in the upstairs bathrooms were not easy for seniors to use. The rain shower head was not working in the on suite bathroom.

Historic downtown district home near everything!
My family and I rented this property for 1 week. Cons: The house is next to a liquor store which is only divided by an alley way and alot of sketchy people walked by the property constantly. A couple of guys asked me for change every other day. The home to the left of the property needs to be cleaned and the shurbs need to be cut back so when you park in the street close to the home the debris doesn't land all over your car. The inside of the home needs a deep cleaning (rugs, couch, fabric chairs, etc) and alot of the paint on the ceiling by the entrance has old water stains as well as the upstairs hallway bathroom. The paint is coming off the walls in certain areas of the home. So maybe its time they paint the entire place. If there going for an old rustic look then it's ok but the pictures posted online of the interior property are flawless and aren't 100% accurate....maybe 70% accurate. The master bathroom tub handle to the right is loose so when your showering it falls off and you have to put it back into the socket. The kitchen has a gas stove and only 2 of the burners would ignite on most nights. None of the closets have enough hangers for your clothes so make sure you bring some. Luckily there are dressers with drawers in the upstairs rooms. The downstairs room next to the kitchen has no closet. One of the dining room wood chairs is loose and needs to be tightened. There is only 8-10 channels and there's no streaming service at all. So if you like watching TV your out of luck. None of the fireplaces are functional. There just for show. So none of the things I listed as cons were so bad that I had to contact the property manager and get someone out there immediately. My family and I are humble people so it didn't bother us to that point. But I would definitely address these things if it were my property. It had to be said. Pros: Near everything! 5 minute walk to Kroger and dollar tree so if you need groceries it's super convenient. Liquor store next to the property if you like to drink. 10 minute walk to Forsyth park. Property has plenty of room to accommodate a family of 6-8 or more. Washer and dryer are downstairs in the basement. Kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans, coffee machine, toaster, microwave, etc. Beds were comfortable and so were the pillows. Towels were top notch 👌. Southern charm home with nice furniture. Overall, we had a great time with amazing memories. I would recommend this property if your in Savannah!

Nice Place, decently close to Riverfront
We opted for this place for our family Christmas trip to Savannah as it was the right price for the right amount of bedrooms in an area we thought was close to stuff.
The check procedure was easy. Although, the parking information was slightly confusing. There is free street parking in front of the place. There is also a liquor store next store and a grocery store two blocks away.
The place could use a little work. Most of the drains were clogged. Also, the stoppers in the bathroom sinks were broken. Not major, but worth noting.
The beds were comfortable, but the pillows could be better. The closets could use more hangers. Some bedrooms only have waredrobes vice a closet.
They have internet and cable, however the cable is the very basic of basics. No ESPN or cable news, or anything, it’s really only local channels. So, bring your steaming stick.
The place is about a 20-25 walk to the stuff near the river. A little farther than we thought. It is really close Forsythe Park.

Beautiful stay in the historic district of savannah
I rented this property with my siblings and significant others for my brother’s wedding. The property was beautiful and everything you would expect an antique Victorian in downtown savannah to look like. The neighborhood was quiet and near the lovely Forsyth park and just a quick walk to downtown. Check in was very simple and the hosts were extremely responsive if needed. I would highly recommend staying in this property if you are traveling to Savannah!

Girls Getaway
This property was perfect for our 5 girls getaway. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms (4/3) and ample living room/dining room space to congregate and relax. The location was within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Parking was easy to find (unmetered) although there is really no need to drive much. Overall the property was perfect for our trip. Would definitely stay here again.

Old Savannah charm with modern features
Beautiful old duplex with hardwood floors and modern appliances. Free, street parking. Front double door bows outward so never 100% sure it’s fully closed but it locked… Old hardwood floors throughout. Downstairs bedroom has door that opens into the kitchen and remains open. 4 bedrooms and 3 baths were great. Rooms were spacious with closets or chifforobe, dressers, and chairs. Curtains did little to block light. The claw foot tubs contributed to the charm but the surrounding curtains when closed give you a bit of claustrophobia. The shared upstairs bathroom had little counter space. We all hear about hunted homes in the city - some heard creaking floors and ringing doorbells at night but no ghosts were seen. The wifi worked well. You only get the local tv channels - maybe 4 or 5 at the most. There are board games disguised as books in the downstairs bedroom. Plenty of dishes, glasses, cookware, and salt and pepper. Beware of the freezer! It’s hard to open/close as ice has spilled out of its tray, fallen to the back of the freezer, and has almost frozen the drawer in place. Also the cabinet “door” to the left of the fridge is decorative only. Forsyth Park and Kroger are only two blocks away. A convenience store with adult beverages is located next to the house. There are neighborhood coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Overall a good experience at Casa d’Arte.

Savannah Vaca
We enjoyed our time in Savannah. The only thing I would recommend is that you might want to trim the trees/bushes in front of the house - it totally blocked the entrance to the front door. Maybe clean up a bit outside as well.

This was an amazing property for 4 older adult women to convene and enjoy everything that Savannah has to offer! We each had our own space to rescind to in the evenings after our day of adventure. Our beds were comfortable, our linens were clean and parking was very easy. Would definitely choose this property again. Thanks Southern Belle - it was great!

Historic Getaway
Enjoyed this historic, charming house. Home was located in perfect location; we were able to walk everywhere from our house-even the grocery store, which was a pleasant surprise. Felt very safe walking day and night.
Beds were very comfortable. If you are looking for a home with bathrooms that are spa like- this might not be for you and should be expected as it’s a historic home. Access to washer/dryer is located from the outside of the house in the basement and should be called out in amenities. Had no issues during our stay; property manager was very responsive to questions prior to trip. Would definitely return.
