The check in was awesome, he showed us the property, explained the rules, and was very cordial.
The house was well organized, well equipped, the lake is amazing, it was in general a good experience!
The property could have been clean in a better manner (happy to give feedback direct to the property on that).

We truly enjoyed our stay. There was something to do for everyone, and with all of our guests, the cottage was spacious enough we were not tripping over each other. We will definitely be coming back.

Excellent location, beautiful house and fantastic access to the lake. Highly recommended for a great family and friends vacation. It was our second time renting the property and we can't wait to enjoy it again.

Owner was thoughtful in providing some amenities like a high chair for babies, step stool for smaller kids in the washroom, and plastic kids plates/cups. There was ample cookware and small appliances to cook for the group without having to reuse pots and pans. Small things like dish soap, cleaning products, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent and garbage bags were provided. Great to not have to think about bringing those things. Brand new BBQ that worked perfectly. A few improvements we would recommend to bring this space to a great experience. Provide more cutlery. The other reviews are true about insufficient cutlery... literally had less than 10 each of forks/knives/spoons (owner provided disposable forks), with large groups we have to wash after each meal. Same with cups/mugs. Dishwasher is in dire need of repair. Its old and works, but its falling apart. Owner also should invest in larger actual garbage cans. He gave us a large cardbord box lined with garbage bag to use as the 'bin' in the kitchen. Electrical switches in this house were so confusing. Exposed receptacles (not live) did not give us impression that the electrical wiring was done properly/safely. Please cap the boxes so kids don't go poking their fingers in them. Would also recommend adding some floor lamps. It got dark at night and the ceilig pot lights were too bright to turn on with people sleeping in the loft area. Door knobs need to be replaced. Felt like they were going to fall off every time we opened the doors. The space generally was not 'cleaned' thoroughly. Alot of dust bunnies, visible spider webs on interior door frames, and fruit flies stuck to the underside of the hood vent light... Backyard patio Exterior seating could use a power wash and replacement of the seat cushions. They were quite dirty and looked like they were never stored so we did not want to sit on them. Some better landscaping of cutting the weeds and overgrowth around the property would help the charm of this place. Overall, this cottage was very well thought through and made for an enjoyable stay.

The property is beautiful and the location was perfect. Very secluded and quiet. Sunsets were gorgeous. Kids had lots of fun with the kayaks and paddle board. Amir and Olivia were great hosts.

The property is nice with easy access to the water. The house has room for a large family. The cleanliness was a little disturbing and some attention to detail is needed, lots of spider webs and dust and the bathrooms could use a good scrub. The kitchen could use some attention as well, we are a large group and there were only 6 forks and limited drinking glasses. Some of the patio chairs are not very safe as they are held together with gorilla tape. One thing to be noted, there are no lamps so reading at night is tough. Our trip was not that bad, the swimming was great and the sauna was lovely.
PS garbage can be taken to the municipal dump 25 min away.

Canada rocks!
A wonderful waterfront property with amazing sunsets. Plenty of fun to be had by all. Hosts were great and very communicative. We would absolutely stay there again.

Beautiful place and comfortable cottage
The cottage is comfortable and offers all main appliances that makes your stay easy. Outside area with access to the lake and chairs, deck, table, pizza oven, grill and more was a success with all guests. Minor point to improve: there are video games but the remotes were out of battery and we couldn't play at night.

Great Family Getaway
Nice property to enjoy with family. Lots of seating around the fire pit and at the waterfront. Wonderful sunset paddles in the 2 tandem kayaks. Lots of space for a lawn picnic and the air conditioning was a bonus. (Didn't try the sauna or pizza oven, but that would also be great in cooler weather.) Communication was prompt, hosts were accommodating and friendly. Especially during covid, I would suggest bringing your own cleaning supplies and linens for extra peace of mind. Overall, a lovely way to close out the summer.

Great location!!!
We loved the location right on the water. The sunsets were an evening event so beautiful. We loved the fire pit and cooked most of our dinners on it. Amir and Olivia are great hosts. We had a small problem with hot water and Amir was right on it. We were so thankful. Thanks so much for a great spot for a family vacation!

Amazing place in a wonderful community
I highly recommend this place.
Amir and Olivia are very welcoming people, they patiently helped me with all my questions, concerns and changes.
When we arrived, Amir met us personally, explained and showed everything about the property, community and sites around.
A house is cozy and beloved. It has everything you need for comfort vacation. From kitchen stuff, including ice-cream machine and to telescope and sauna!
And absolute hit of mine is a PIZZA oven! we became a real pizzaolos!
Besides they have 2 high quality kayaks, a deck with sunset view (sunset everyday was spectacularly different), great place for swimming and even a spacial safe bay for toddlers
And of course wonderful Wiarton, Bruce trail, amazing nature, small dragon place and pottery right around the corner made this week unforgettable.
This was one our best vacations!

Had a blast at this cottage, the hosts were very friendly and they really care about their property. It is well kept and the host made sure to physically teach us how to use each amenity. The place is clean, right on the water, and is very cozy. Would definitely rent again.

Beautiful relaxing vacation retreat!
The host made the whole process seamless and welcoming. This property providers access to local trails, food, fuel and an amazing view of the bay. The use of the kayaks, sauna, fire pit and BBQ made stay accommodating. The property is spacious and offers many sleeping options.

Something for everyone!
This was the ideal spot for our multigenerational family vacation. The amenities both inside and out were incredible. This home has so much room to spread out. It can easily sleep far more than 10, so the largest group would be very comfortable. There are many areas to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere from the front porch, upper and lower deck, gazebo and garden bench to the sauna and hot tub. Very large, private house and property that is easily accessible yet feels secluded. The kitchen is STOCKED! We used the popcorn maker and icecream machine, and were tempted by the snowcone maker and nacho warming cart! Would definitely stay again! Hosts were very supportive and easy to reach.

Perfect quiet family R&R
We had a fabulous time at Olivia & Amir's cottage. We nicknamed it "Mallard's Nest", because it's on Mallard Street, and there are Mallard Ducks everywhere!! Speaking of wildlife, we enjoyed seeing wood ducks, loons, cormorants, a black weasel feeding on crayfish, and we even had a Bald Eagle pass overhead numerous times. Very tranquil. We were a party of nine (4 adults/5kids) and this was a perfect venue to host us. Plenty of space, and lots of amenities. The parents enjoyed the main floor, while the kids ruled the lower level, with a pool table, foosball, and a Netflix/Disney+ equipped TV. The sauna & hot-tub were fabulous. Jumping in the lake afterwards was exhilarating! We brought our pool thermometer to pop in the lake, and the water was consistently between 71-73'F(we traveled Mid-Aug). Both of the provided 2-person Kayaks got used a lot for adventures around Colpoy's Bay. If you are outdoorsy, be sure to go hiking in the Bruce Caves conservation area (only a 5 minute drive away). A fabulous portion of the Bruce trail to explore and discover. If you like to cook, Olivia & Amir provide a full service kitchen. All the things you need to cook full meals are there... and some awesome bonus things too (like an air-pop movie popcorn maker, an ice-cream maker, a crock-pot, to name a few). Comfortable indoor seating for 8, with lots of balcony options for others too. The dock overlooking the lake with Muskoka Chairs was declared "the favourite thing" by the parents, with the outdoor fire-pit and cozy gazebo with couches coming in tied for a close second! Both spots were great for visiting, catching some sun, and watching the epic sunsets. It's a pricey getaway...but if you have close family/friends to help absorb the cost.... it's worth it! :)

Cottage Fun for Families
We had a wonderful time...three families stayed for a week. We loved the outdoor grounds, the neat and fairly new indoors, the cottage location and the owners were wonderful to deal with. We loved the kayaks, indoor games - board games, pool, foosball, electronics, great to have Netflix to watch shows and movies. The lake water is beautiful but the swimming area is dangerous on the sides with metal rods sticking up out of the water and the shoreline is extremely rocky. We recommend that everyone bring water shoes. Also, the outdoor shower was not working so it was difficult to share 2 bathrooms with 12 people.
Overall, we had a great time and would recommend the cottage to others!

It was GREAT!!!
We were a group of 9 with 5 kids ranging from 10-13. Everything was perfect. There were 2 swimming areas. One for the smaller kids and one for the bigger kids. The bigger kids could jump off the dock with no concern of hitting the bottom. Weather was great. Cottage was cool even though it was hot outside. Great sunsets and lots of wild life to keep you watching. Thanks for the great week. We really needed it.

Beautiful stay on the Bruce
This was a beautiful property, very well located close to many sights, hikes, and local attractions. The house itself has many amenities to ensure that guests never run out things to do, whether it is relaxing in the sauna or playing foosball. Overall amazing stay in the Bruce.
